So, I'm currently in the process of moving the "Japanese language" page from Wikipedia to IIwiki in order to compile all the nations in which it's official, and perhaps add original sections where the history of the language in these respective nations are detailed. In case anyone belongs to this group/is at least somewhat interested, feel free to tell me, we can cooperate.

If you want to compile Japanese in your nation, just type in [[Japanese in nationx|Japanese]], and have all links on your page go to there. I think we generally use the {{wp|language|language}} template for most RL languages, primarily because it is practically the same. If it has a different name, then just use {{wp|language|different name}}.

Personally, if it ain't broke, why fix it?

Echoing the sentiments above, it seems a bit unnecessary. I definitely wouldn't transclude the entire Wikipedia article, on any topic; that's what redirects are for. Possibly "Japanese by country" or some such would have some use, but IIwiki really doesn't need the whole article on Japanese (or even part of the article on Japanese) when Wikipedia already has all of it.

You can create Category:Japanese-speaking countries and territories
it does the same job, listing nations that use Japanese as their official language. And here's the evidence that category like that exists on IIwiki

I know it exists. However, the Category pages tend to be very convoluted/complicated; probably doesn't differentiate between those using a language as official and those that consider it as regional only; and automatic listing might make for some unwanted repetitions.

I'll just go with the "Japanese by country" suggestion. Not right now though, I have something else to do atm.

Yes. It might be more accurate to say in-world, since they're encyclopedia entries and supposed to be free of any biases.

Instead, I get a "server error 500" notification. Is there any way you guys could help to remedy this?
