A local gang hit would work, but he didn't kill Ulyx. Almost did, but hesitated and fled instead.

I have a question how cool do you think it would be if lets say Rost (my charector) managed to find and retrieve the body of General Grievous, then managed to get a hold of Grievous's DNA samples from Geonosis (where he got the transformation), then used the DNA to help the surrviving cloners on Kamino create a General grievous clone, then managed to find someone that could put Grievous's spirt into the clone, and to summarize General Grievous is brought back, and then Rost (a separatist commander) collects all of the Separatist forces hes been hiding ever since the empire 's rise, and he and General Grievous either join the Rebel alliance, or create there own faction called the Alliance to restore the Confederacy, with two goals 1 bring back the Confederacy, and 2 get revenge on the Empire and Sidious? (i don't think Grievous at least would be able to join the rebels because of...well you know... and i don't think Rost would join if Grievous could'nt). So what do you think good idea, wierd, needs work?
(Another thing is the Rebels are all about restoring the Republic and i don't think Rost, Grievous, or any of the other separatist would want to bring back something that they were fighting to get rid of).

Lemme dissect this.

It is currently 200 ABY. The CIS army, navy, general leadership, they are all dead. Completely dead. The factories that once produced said droids have likely been leveled in the various conflicts since, from the Galactic Civil War to the conflicts involving the Federation to the Yuuzhan Vong invasion to the fracturing of the Fel Empire, the Galactic Alliance-Coalition War. The body of General Grevious is long, long gone, likely burned with the rest of the CIS corpses on Utapau, and even if it was not it would be long-since decayed. Extracting a good piece of genetic material would be likely unfeasible, especially considering the current political climate. Kamino is currently under Coalition control, making any sort of deal with them also highly unlikely. Furthermore, finding "General Grevious's Spirit" has, as far as I can recall, no base in Star Wars lore as far as performing such an action and as such I do not believe it to be mechanically possible in said universe.

To summarize, I have a question. Have you at all read the lore for this game?

Again, this is 200 ABY. Due to degradation of materials, the multiple wars within the general region of the entire galaxy, the invasion by an extra-universal power, and the fact that they would not be able to repair themselves whatsoever the forces you speak of, even if they were to exist which I doubt heavily, would be unable to maintain themselves in a strictly material sense for the duration of centuries following their defeat and self-imposed exile. Furthermore, whatever warships and personnel that were to run away would be severely outdated by this period if not completely unable to perform normal functions. They would lack the necessary research facilities, manufacturing facilities, and the basic concept of "Trade of Information" to move research along, leading to a stagnation much as one would see with Japan. The fact that no organics, or only a limited number or organics, would be present within those forces would only compound that issue due to the massive issue for inorganics, especially ones of that era, to imagine new concepts for warfare. Even the most advanced droids were only extremely good at contemporary strategies and unable to formulate new concepts.

Well, not like the actual Black Sun, but perhaps a few smaller gangs interested in scoring the bounty. Good thing there's a Hutt who's cozy to our hero.

The APP

Name: Kadek Vandyre
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Allegiance paid to: The Coalition/The Fel Empire(EXPANDED UPON/EXPLAINED IN BIO)
Rank: Captain
Appearance: At full draw Captain Vandyre stands at 6'3. In uniform he presents a striking figure, his angular chin pronounced among his features, his sharp green eyes pierce deep into the eyes of those who approach him, regardless of rank or status. His skin is tanned, going along with his oak brown hair, which is cut into a side-shaven comb over. His black uniform is always pressed neatly and, combined with his straight posture, he clearly cuts the figure of a Coalition Officer. His facial expression is permanently contorted into a dismissive sneer, but not one of a man who thinks he is above those around him: it is one of a man who knows.
Personality: Kadek does not know the meaning of defeat, whether it be martial or otherwise. What one may constitute as a crushing blow he simply sees as a setback and, regardless of damage done, will return again to fight. It may take him days, months or even years: but he will return to his field of battle. While most Imperial Officers are ambitious to the point of stabbing one another in the back, Vandyre will only seek to further himself through acts of fealty and valor. He will not abide the mewling of the regular Officer Corps, doubtless that they care only for themselves, and has been known to descend to planetary surfaces and join boarding parties alongside his men. The lives of his crew and the Stormtrooper's under his command are of no little value to him, and a life spent should only be done so wisely, and with great respect.
Force Sensitive: No.
Skills/Powers: Tactician, Blaster prowess, Strategist.
Weaponry: SE-14r blaster pistol
Ship:

Biography: Vandyre wasn't born in the time of the Fel Empire, although he was born on Bastion in it's shadow, but he had grown up with stories of it, and of the Empire that had preceded it. He knew, of course, of the tragic death of it's Emperor, the brutal years that followed and the barbarism of the Rebellion. His father had told him that loyalty to the Empire was a defining trait of every single good citizen, and he believed him. The Fel Empire had been the continuation of that great Empire, it's spiritual child, and was indeed made up of former Imperial citizens and members of it's Government. By being born the descendant of two great nations he knew that it was his duty to serve whomsoever was his superior in rank, but never to simply be subservient as a matter of simplicity. He glorified the Fel Empire and it's predecessor, but that was all childish visions.

For by the time of his growing, they had long gone from the world.

By all accounts the Coalition was, in part, the Fel Empire. They had not annexed, but much to his dismay it was simply a union of desperation in his eyes. At the age of 14 Vandyre entered into preparation courses to be a Coalition Officer, as his Father, Vikarus, spent lavishly on his education. Kadek knew his role in the Officer Corps would be assured, there was no end to the amount of bribery that would be accepted in a society so similar to that of the old Empires, but he would not allow his future fellows to simply assume he was riding on the coattails of his father. He threw himself into his studies viciously, consuming the doctrines and rhetoric of the Imperial Navy, for the infinite promise of space had called to him ever since he looked to the stars for the first time. For in Space a man could find anything, no matter what other told him: even an Empire.

At 18 Vandyre realized his dream of becoming an Officer with his commissioning as an Ensign. Immediately his "betters", those of superior rank, noticed his voracious desire to further himself. Ambition after all, is acceptable, but only when it is subservient to he who accepts it. But any offer of favors would not be accepted by him, nor would any request to perform some underhanded task in an attempt to aid one Officer in his squabble against another. No, he would not be caught up in the petty feuds that had ripped the Empire of old into petty warring planets. Much like children idealized famous heroes, Vandyre idealized the perfect Imperial Officer. Stoic, calculating, loyal and firm. That would be him one day, he thought, images of a robed man on his throne, Vandyre to his right. But for now his position in the Officer Corps was stagnant, his superior fellows ensuring they did everything in their power to hold him in his position. But numerous insurrections, problem causing Officers and other issues gave him the chance to put himself in the place he felt he truly deserved.

While he did not consider himself underhanded, the 32 year old recently promoted Captain felt no reprehension for the Officers that continued to disappear around him. They were, of course, a detriment to the functioning of the Coalition. The Captain that preceded him had used his position to "redirect" shipboard funding for repairs and the like to his personal bank account, and Lieutenant Vandyre had been very keen to hear this news. Nobody complained when the information was anonymously released in conjunction with the C's oddly convenient death by dioxis, funneled into his chambers through an air duct. It was only proper that Vandyre, the most well put together of the bunch directly beneath him, take his place. This was backed by the possibility that denying him his promotion in favor of a personal friend might lead to some...unsavory results.

Having received his first personal command aboard "The Centurion", Vandyre now finds himself in a uniquely independent position. While still subject to the Coalitions chain of command, of course, he alone commands the ship under normal circumstances, and his intentions are known only to him.

And to him they are most clear.
RP Example:
The Centurion
Command Bridge

"Captain on deck!"

The bridge snapped to attention, the silence permeated only by the clanking of steel beneath Vandyre's boots. His hands were tightly pressed to the small of his back, his brown hair swept into a comb-over and flattened to his head. The sides were shaven neatly, the droid in charge of delivering such cuts clearly programmed well. As he passed every man and woman on the bridge they stood a little straighter, the platform he walked a few feet above their stations showing only his feet as they were passed. After a brief few moments he arrived at the head of the display platform, showing the vastness of space in front of him. "Be seated." His voice echoed for a brief moment in the still space, followed by the swishing of uniforms and the creaking of stationary chairs as the crew seated itself as one. Immediately chatter began again and aids rushed back and forth from station to station, the navigational and communications personnel present glued to their screens. "Lieutenant," his gaze slid coolly over to the young woman standing next to him, "I'll take my cycle status report now."

Immediately she raised her head a few centimeters higher, preparing to belt out her morning ritual. "Sir, the food supply incident has been resolved. A few of the upper echelon of supply Officers were stealing some of the more popular items out of storage and distributing them out among personal friends and selling them to the lower enlisted. The ringleader has been detained along with a few of those involved, but no action has been taken." She stopped for a moment and allowed him to mull over the information before continuing. "Two rotational cycles ago we passed another Coalition ship and, after a hail followed by brief polite greetings, the channel was closed and we continued about our business." At this Vandyre tilted his head and raised a brow questioningly. "And you didn't think to wake me?" She paused for a moment at this, shaking her head. "No, Sir. Nothing official was exchanged and the record simply shows a brief interaction based solely on a desire to extend a greeting to our comrades. Nothing more." The Captain nodded then, satisfied. "Very well, is that all?" The Lieutenant nodded eagerly, ready to be free from the conversation. "Raise our Intelligence Officers on the Comm's channel and have them report to the holding cells for the Supply Officers. Following questioning the ringleader is to be demoted and sentenced to half pay for the next month and a reduction in rank. The rest are to receive half pay, no punishment to follow. Carry on, Lieutenant."

The young woman saluted and quickly hustled down the platform in the direction the Captain had come from, determined to complete her task in a timely manner. She turned for a brief moment as the portal-like door closed behind her, only to see the Captain turned back and watching her as she left, his face contorted yet still into a sneer.

"If I didn't know any better", she thought to herself, "I'd think the next time I fell asleep would be my last".

As the door closed Vandyre turned back, facing the infinite chasm of space. He let his arms relax for a brief moment before crossing them over his chest, inhaling and exhaling heavily once. He was not content.

I was going to do a long post about why this would not work but it looks like Ormata beat me to it.

Unfortunately, in the 200 years since the Clone Wars, little remains of either the CIS or the Republic's war machine, aside from maybe a few ships here and there.

Therefore I cannot fit your idea into the RP. Take a look, however, at the opening post, and read the lore and timeline. It might give you a more accurate idea of where to start with an app.

Nothing more." The Commander nodded then, satisfied.

The young woman saluted and quickly hustled down the platform in the direction the Commander had come from, determined to complete her task in a timely manner. She turned for a brief moment as the portal-like door closed behind her, only to see the Commander turned back and watching her as she left, his face contorted yet still into a sneer.

Notes:

I do not have time to read this right now, but I will definitely take a look when I fet home. While technically we have a moratorium on Coalition characters since we have so many, I did not put this in the OP, so I will consider this one

Biography:
Pona the Hutt, member of the Desilijic clan, was born in 89 ABY on Nar Shaddaa. Being born after the Vongformimg of Nar Shaddaa, as Pona grew he was directly involved with the rebuilding of the planetary wide city, eventually coming to administer the lower levels of The Vertical City after coming of age.

The Desilijic Clan of the Hutts is known for their hedonistic lifestyle, ruthless business practices, and most of all gang activity, being one of the manor players in the Hutt Cartels, with Pona Desilijic being no different. Being an administrator of the lower levels, Pona was constantly striking deals with smugglers, gangsters, etc. In order to increase his connections and more importantly line his coffers. In the prelude to the Sith-Imperial war, Pona  headed a widespread War Profiteering campaign supplying illegal equipment ans experimental weapons to the Empire, aswell as allowing them to test new weapons and agents in the Slums of the lowest levels. As war finally broke out, the Cartel realized the usefulness of Pona's ties to the Empire, pulling him from Nar Shaddaa and having him defend important Trade Routes in his Merchant Flagship, the Bargon.

In his time in contact with The Empire, members of Darth Krayt's One Sith began seeking underworld ties and Bounty Hunters. Eventually Pona began dealings with the Sith themselves and the Dark Jedi, resulting in a number of Sith Artifacts coming into his possesion, all of which were lost after the fall of Darth Krayt's Empire. When dealing with the Sith, it was eventually revealed to Pona that he was a Force Sensitive, and showed great potential in aiding the growing Sith warmachine. With a Sith Victory in the war in 130 ABY, and Krayt's usurpation of the Imperial Throne, Pona was succesfully convinced to desert the Cartel and become a member of the Sith Empire.

After being tempted by the Dark Side of the Force, Pona immediately fell amd began training with the members of the One Sith. Being a Hutt, Pona was unable to engage in standard lightsaber combat. As a result, he constructed his Lightsaberpike in order to deal with his poor range, and focused his studies in becoming strong in the force. In 135 ABY, Pona was given the title of a Sith Inquisitor, and given the name Darth Limax. For the remaining years of the Empire, The Bargon was used as not a trading vessel, but a prison ship which held prisoners of importance. On the ship, Limax would engage in a number of torture techniques to extract information to the One Sith's cause.

During the Schism, Limax had sided with Darth Krayt, but begrudgingly swore loyalty to Wyyrlok following his death. During this time, Limax had begun charting out possible locations in Wild Space to flee too should Wyyrlok begin purging those who were sympathetic too Krayt. However, with his resurrection, Limax abandoned Wyyrlok along with the other Sith.

With Krayt's death at the hands of Cade Skywalker, Limax activated his contingency plan, taking the Bargon and fleeing to Wild Space to escape the Galactic Triumvirate. From Wild Space he began building his criminal empire once more, and aims to gain control of the Hutt Cartel in order to help fund the new Sith Empire.

Also, I am swamped with work today, and I realized I have not been updating the roster as I should be. If anyone has the time to compile a list of any characters missing from yhe OP, I would be very grateful.

For the Coalition? There's currently a moratorium on those due to how many Coalition and Jedi people we have.

Actually I was thinking about doing a Sith military leader, something similar to what Vader was for the Emperor, a Sith Lord but one who commanded military forces in the field

Sith and Jedi are currently outlawed by both major galactic powers and hunted-down. Military leadership via the Sith would, by necessity, be something like what Valyria's char is...unless you can do something a bit different, that is.

The Alliance needs someone. Either for leadership or military. Hell, a sith in hiding could be a high ranking Alliance officer.
