Tieria sighed. Kei was upset with him wasn't she? Could she see through what he was doing? Maybe. That scared him, that she would be hurt. Hadn't she been through enough already? He needed to make a quick decision. He thought for literally seconds before he made it. He would go back, he would definitely be going back. Screw Minerva, he was going back to Kei. But not yet. He was far from Bielfeld right now. He had felt a disturbance in his brain waves coming from this direction earlier. He was going to investigate. He might find Veda.

New Aksarben wrote:"So.... is this the same place as Equestria? IT certainly doesn't look like any part I've seen before......" Sterling said, quite honestly dumbfounded by this whole ordeal. He, a pony who could generally make a conversation(or more accurately, monologue) about anything, could think of nothing to say about this. He tried to understand by just listening to what was going on, but it just confused him more, honestly. Then something this strange 'humanoid' said caught his attention.

"Huh? What is Latin? Is it a language? But Equestria is the name of our home. It's ruled by Princess Celestia and Princess Luna jointly. They raise the sun and moon in turn, and keep life organized for us in Equestria....." He tried thinking of what else to explain, but anything he thought of really should be common knowledge, in his mind at least. Stuff like Pegasi controlling the weather, and Canterlot, Ponyville, Manehattan, and all the other cities and towns of Equestria.

"And you met something similar to us? What do you mean by dark? Most ponies have brightly colored coats, but there are a few with deeper colors, such as me." He points a hoof to his chest, to signify the deep purple hue of his coat. Which was obvious seeing as he was completely covered in the color.

"Dark as in the way he felt," Rudolf replied as he squatted down.

He pulled several objects from his pocket. "Look, then, this tennis ball is the sun. These marbles are planets. We're on this one, the third from the sun. But there's more."

He removed a second tennis ball from his pocket and carefully placed it in the air a few inches from the one on the ground and then added marbles. The little mock solar system hovered in the air. "Same thing, different dimension. Dimensions are layered, ya? Many layers stacked on each other and all on the same time. I won't get into timelines. So, the one on the ground is this dimension. Earth, we call our planet. maybe the one above it is Equestria? No humans as the dominant species. You are the dominant species there. Our dimension is controlled by physics and sometimes by gods. Your dimension is controlled by your Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. Sun and Moon, ja? They aren't here in this dimension. Maybe you jumped and landed here by mistake? But no matter. You're welcome here. We welcome everyone in Bielefeld. But," he swept away the balls and marbles and tucked them into his pocket. "But, you need a place to stay. May I recommend the building across the way?"

"Hmm... that makes a surprising amount of sense, actually. The layered 'dim-ensh-eons'. Or whatever it was you said. And yes, Celestia and Luna control the sun and moon respectively..... So if they aren't here....." Sterling looked up towards the sky at that, trying to search for either of the celestial bodies mentioned previously. He noted the sun near the horizon, which seemed normal. "Who raises the sun and moon here? And if you don't have Pegasi, what keeps the weather from running wild and messing up your day!" He started panicking at that, and his eyes darted up again, as if expecting a rain cloud to appear and suddenly start raining on them. Which was he was actually expecting might happen at any time, now that he knew they weren't in Equestria.

"Shh, shh," hushed Willow, waving a leg to calm his friend, though inside he was concerned too. Saying that the sun, moon, clouds, weather, and all that fine and dandy stuff moved without manual intelligent assistance to ponies would be like hearing someone tell you that it was perfectly normal for trees to uproot themselves and dance the cha-cha. It just didn't happen.

Well, it was certain she would see Drova again, so she stopped worrying. This new home was like an adventure to her!

"Yes, I slept wonderfully. Wings were a bit numb though, but I always end up rolling over on them in the night. That can't be helped. My room is wonderful, very rustic." She nodded over her own cup of coffee. "So, what will training entail then, eating breakfast? I assure you, I already know how to eat." The girl smiled.

"New friends? In an alleyway?"

Bran crossed his arms, hoping for a bit more explanation. "Oh! Can you introduce us?" Rachelle blurted out with a childlike grin.

"Ohhhh, I don't know..." Now that Giovenith thought about it, flinging too many humans on the ponies at once might have been kind of shocking to them, especially after she had soiled their first encounter with one. Then again, Rachelle was just so cute....

"Well, I guess, if you promise not to act all crazy when you see them..." How she was to explain what they were without sounding ridiculous (even for Bielefeld), she didn't know. Giovenith realized then that a lot of previous perceptions must have went into the approach of the non-humans in Bielefeld. Ponies, for example, were mostly regarded in their world as playthings for rich people and little girls (though she would never say that to the ponies in the alley), which, after seeing their previous reactions, she didn't believe the visitors would appreciate being treated as. Especially the mean-looking grey one. The unicorn seemed less grumpy.

It just didn't happen.

Rudolf grinned. "Weather doesn't always mess up a day. It runs freely here with no Peega sigh to control it, so sometimes it rains during a wedding or picnic. Sometimes it's very bad and destroys a town. But we can predict it, in a sense, and plan around it. More work for us, ja? Sounds like your way is better, but more work for your people. Our weather can be naughty."

His eyes traveled the sky and he squinted at the sun. "Many years ago, people believed the gods moved the sun and moon. Then they realized the gods were busy doing other things and had assigned forces to move the objects for them. Some say there aren't any gods at all. There are gods, trust me. So, the sun and moon move on their own, in a pattern set up by the cosmos. But who moves all the other stars and moons in the Equestria universe? Unless those objects move and your planet stands still?"

It was a frightening thought. Rudolf wasn't a genius but he had a feeling planetary rotation was important.

Yoshi was still out cold. He made a sound like the coo of a dove in his sleep, he had no more nightmares that night and his sleep was sound. But even still, he was being watched. Yoshi was perfect, absolutely perfect for the job. The voice cackled and then fell silent. Yoshi's thoughts wondered in a dream state. he needed to finish his novel and interviewing the residents here, but for that he needed his laptop, and Jacob had that. He needed to see his friend tomorrow. And he had a date with Katya this week, he mustn't forget that either. The things you thought of in your sleep.

Did their planet move?

"Of course it doesn't move, then it would be hurtling into stars and stuff!" huffed Willow, not entirely understanding the concept of what Rudolf was asking. As the pegasus was used to thinking, he had his feet planted firmly on the ground all day long, so it was quite a silly thing to ask if the world moved. How would a world even move? It was huge. So were the sun and the moon, but damn.

"Yes, of course it doesn't move. What would be the point of that? It moving around would be pointless!" Sterling said, tapping his chin with a hoof. Why would their planet need to move? It was stationary. The day was brought on a consistent basis with Celestia and Luna's help, so why would the planet need to move? Sterling shrugged, and focused on other stuff.

"Well, it seems inconvenient to not control the weather with magic. I'm sure that if there were pegasus ponies in this universe, you would see why its useful to have weather planned. If you want to have a picnic, you only need to tell the Pegasi of Cloudsdale, and they'll make sure to keep the weather nice and clear!

Rudolf bit his tongue to see if he was dreaming. The coppery taste in his mouth was evidence that this was real. These strange little horses came from a universe completely dependent upon magic. Fate help them if they ever turned on the TV and saw the Discovery channel.

"We have libraries with lots of books you can read to learn about our strange dimension," he suggested. He felt it would be rude to point out that theirs was fucked up.

He noticed the Nikanors. "You'll find that talking horses are rare here. People will react like we did or might treat you with hostility. Some will want to pet you. Others might try to eat you."

"Hey, good-lookin'," she said eventually, tapping Katya on the top of her shoulder. "Anything you feel like doing today? A not-so-little rabbit said you were trying to start a company or something."

Anew had no idea what the man was talking about but went with it. The closest thing she had to a parent was an incubation tank. So she ran with that. "No, I didn't have any parents. My superiors picked the name for me" She said sweetly and brushed a few strands of lavender hair off of her shoulders.

"Does anything eat your kind?" asked Willow, disguising fear as suspicion. Something eating you was... an odd thought. Of course, one could plainly picture it realistically, but it was such a weightless threat. Ponies lived away and could deal with anything that would genuinely eat them, and the threat of such was just a joke, like among foals playing tag. Such was the result of living as a dominant species. But now it was a real threat? He couldn't imagine it.

Katya shrugged a bit, and wrinkled her nose. Her eyes squinted tightly, then opened the slightest bit.

"Huh? Dora? Um...what time is it? What did you say?"

She stretched out, kicked her legs out, and flopped over on her back. It was morning, apparently. Tora must've left, and now it was just her and Dora. Wait...Dora?

She blushed lightly and tried sitting up. She still had her blazer on...she threw that aside and pulled up her sleeves to get comfy, then talked again.

"Okay...something about...a rabbit? What?"

....

Ooh, what was Gio up to over here? Mr. Nikanor?

Oh well...Torii would see later. Maybe one of them would notice her, though...but off to...wherever! Torii didn't know one street from another, but she didn't care. She'd have lots of fun today, playing her guitar at the park. At least she knew its general location...

"Eat humans?" Rudolf's eyebrows raised. "Yes, and they'd eat your kind as well. Tigers, velociraptors, space marines, certain cultists in this city. All of those would eat humans and horses."

What would it be like to live in a place where you were the top dog in the food chain. These creatures didn't seem carnivorous so he doubted they hunted. How had they obtained- oh. The Sun and Moon queens. Of course. It was like Elohim had done. "I will make you in my image." But tigers still ate man. What ate these odd little horses? If they were those top dogs......

"In this universe, horses are seen as beautiful creatures but they aren't sentient. Some run freely in nature. Others are used as draft animals to pull wagons or plow fields. Still others serve as mounts for humans." He neglected to mention dog food and glue or that horse meat was tasty in other countries.

"Whooooooooooooa now," Willow held up a hoof, swinging it a bit, then looked pointedly at Rudolf. "Mount? Sorry, no offense or anything, but I am not into that." Apparently even tiny horses could make horrible, horrible misunderstandings.

"Not that kind of mounting," Rudolf snickered. "It's back to equestrian. Someone who rides on a horse or pony. With a saddle. They ride into war together. They work as a team to herd animals. They patrol the cities together. Not sex. Working partnership. I'm not entirely thrilled with how some horses are treated. Fat little ponies made to give rides to little children, for example. What a crappy job. We had a beautiful percheron on our farm. I was there when he was born and took his first steps. He was a beautiful foal. We grew up together and worked the farm together. He was important by nature of what he was. Other farms had horses also but they weren't as well fed. Mankind - humans - can be sick bastards."

The whole concept was surreal. The cultist leader shook those thoughts away and stood up. "Let me change into something more than a bathrobe."

What?"

Dora's eyes lightened. "It's morning, you're cute, and I was wondering if you had any plans. A not-so-little teleporting, color-changing rabbit told me you were trying to start a company, and - well, since I don't have a job anymore, I hope I can be excused for being a little curious about whether or not I could lend a hand."

She spoke lightly enough, but there was still a hint of something else in her voice.

"Oh, Torii!" Giovenith called out, spotting her friend some way away and giving a wave. "Hi there!"

"... But I can't stand children."

This was probably some of the most twisted crap Willow had ever heard. And he had once heard a rather despicable rumor that the university of his hometown was really a factory where they killed foals to make rainbows with their flesh. There were still carriage pullers and ponies who plowed things, but they were doing it of their own free will, and paid for their services. Then again, what was it all really about sentience? Was that what made a difference?

He tried to imagine a fellow pony without sentience. It would essentially, by comparison, be a stiff-limed living vegetable with a vacant stare and no true motivation or relevant thoughts that trotted around all day and never gave it a second thought. You could try to talk to it, but it wouldn't care. You could try to tease it's brain, it wouldn't give your results. It was disturbing to think about, something you saw as a person being reduced to a meaty shell of what you knew.

"... You said... there was a place we could stay?" asked Willow, taking a few mental steps back from the picture in his head. He secretly hoped while he was here he wouldn't have to see one this place's ponies.

"Ja," Rudolf pointed out the building to them. "Just go inside. The landlord always knows when new beings are coming. There's a lift so you won't need to worry about the stairs. There's also children in there. Some are very nice and polite."

Hans had stayed the night in the bar and slowly drowned his troubles. He thought life was incredibly unfair. He could have written an entire country music album based on just his thoughts towards Chrys. It would all sound like Wagner.

He finished his beer and left more nuts for MB. He had a tab so there wasn't any point in paying for the drink. He emerged from the bar and caught a glance at some talking ponies having a conversation with his dead brother. His eyes slid from that to his boss walking with Minerva and what looked like the dead child from Klaus' photograph.

Hans decided he was sufficiently drunk. He meandered back to the Succubus Inn and passed out in his own bed.

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.

"Yes, yes," agreed Giovenith, hopping back over to the scene. "I can help you over there, help you settle out and what not." She smiled her usual sweetie smile.

Willow honestly had not expected to stay where ever he and Sterling had planned on going over night. Jeeze, there was so much to do at home... he'd promised his manager a commission by next week. He hadn't gotten a chance to reply back to that letter from his parents. He was out of milk and eggs. All the trivial, often overlooked duties of everyday, now in some forgotten pile another dimension away, important to nopony but one who could easily be forgotten and forsaken to the ocean of time if he didn't return soon.

Willow decided he now hated chipmunks.

"Fine, thank you," he conceded, stepping up a bit to Giovenith, Sterling following close behind. "It was... interesting, talking."

"Viel Gluck! Good luck," Rudolf smiled. He stepped back into his designated shadow and slipped through the concrete sidewalk.

"Well, perhaps.", Katya replied and a happy tone. "Yes, I'm working on it. Me and Mr. Tieria agreed on a collaboration, though I'm the one running it. It's going to be a private security company, funded by a large security contractor in my homeland. I'd love it if you wanted to help.", She said. "I could use good instructors, or soldiers, or whatever you would be interested in."

....

"Oh, Hi Gio!", Torii waved from some ways away. She thought that maybe, she could have a quick conversation, and began slowly walking to meet the strange group, guitar slung over her shoulder.
