If strictly Intertpreted, should not this provision preclude not just the discussion of the issue, but the proposal itself? I feel that the communication on the issue was seriously mishandled for the sake of being - or seeming - concordant with the letter of law. Not all nations participate in off-site channels of communication, and to them the way this proposal is being communicated and written will seems grotesque, which is not great given the gravity of
real-world charges.

The whole point is to remove recognition, not replace it.

Oh give them a break for five minutes. There are people who have been around for years, not just two months, who aren't 'in the know' that actually the Condemnation badge is actually a Commendation under another name rather than its opposite.

That people, particularly in the arrpee community such as it exists, are not particularly big fans of Yohannes long predates this (though given some of their prior statements expressing a desire for its repeal, some of us--before this--preferred to keep it around).

Until someone tells me what "unspeakable" evil this nation committed I will not be in support of this. It is against basic rights for people to punish him for things they do not know are true, let alone not know in general. Of course, if what they did does come to light, I will of course act accordingly but due to the current situation I cannot support this.

The rules of the NS forum prohibits bringing in off-site allegations or evidence in, in situations like this. Several posts have already been removed from the thread on page one for breaking the rules. As such you will never be told on-site what happened, because anyone who tells you is likely to be warned and their posts removed.
You can vote against if it matters that much to you. Personally I trust those who uncovered the evidence and the allegations are serious enough to warrant a repeal.

I've known Yohannes for 12 years and have met him in person once. The 'allegations' have not been proven or substantiated at this stage and there's a very strong chance that they exist purely as a result of malice from some bad actors who hold a grudge against him.

The fact that a resolution like this wasn't immediately declared illegal, let alone reached quorum, is a very dark day for Nationstates.

Anyone voting for this resolution on the basis of "there are some allegations of bad things but we can't say but you can totally trust us" needs their head examined.

Who know? Yohannes has always lied about who they are. Personally I am inclined to believe in a single Yohannes rather than some sort of team behind the nation.

You do not, under any circumstances, make allegations on this site surrounding the behavior of another player based off of screenshots from Discord. If the behavior is a problem and needs to be addressed on this site, you send in a Getting Help Request, and then you do not talk about it. If you vaguepost, it can occasionally be acceptable, but direct accusations and statements about what that player may or may not have done do not belong on this site.

All violating posts have been split off to the evidence locker. Any player who persists in posting about it after this exceptionally clear warning will suffer significantly increased punishments, including the loss of their nation, puppetsweeps, or ultimately, a DOS order.
