Let's see; Europe would remain under feudalism longer, colonization of the New World and Africa (by said warlords) would have been slower (perhaps by 300 years) and China would probably remain sovereign due to a lack of firepower by the Europeans to colonize such a large area of land.

In short, the world as we know it will be very, very different. I.e. Europe would be in a state of constant war, the population of the indigenous peoples in Africa and continental America would be higher than in our timeline and we would probably be typing in Chinese right now as a default language.

Guns didn't cause the decline of plate armor. Guns that could actually penetrate plate armor didn't exist until hundreds of years after plate armor fell out of use. The decline of plate armor is a direct result of them being prohibitively expensive. Each suit was a custom job. The chances of someone being able to wear a suit made for another person would be almost nil.

Well, full suits fell out of favor. Breastplates did not, and in fact never did. We use variants on them today, we've just replaced the steel with ceramics.
