The most unpleasant alcoholic drink you have ever had?

I keep telling you, you really need to try girly cocktails first. I've never met anyone who went straight from teetotal to "yum, straight hard liquor!" That's very definitely an acquired taste at best, while things like pina coladas or margaritas are just plain tasty.

I'll think about it, but I'm iffy on the idea at best, for reasons I've mentioned before.

I'm only 16 and the only alcohol I've really had is Champagne on New Year's, wine with dinner for quite some time when I was 11/12 or so, so I have nothing yet to name. Once I either: turn 21, turn 18 (if the laws are changed), or move to Germany, then I'll have a good answer.

Absinthe neat isn't that bad. I drank most of a bottle last New Years. Fun times.

I've tried several different kinds of wine, straight rum, brandy, Scotch...and some sort of alchoholic eggnog. (Which tasted like rancid mouthwash.)

Everclear really is actually pretty awesome. It doesn't really have a taste (well, besides alcohol), it's powerful, and, since it's pure grain, the hangover is not as bad and it mixes well. I have about a half a shot of it everyday in the form of Green Dragon (a cannabis tincture made using high-proof alcohol).

Sometimes. Anything high-proof will work. Everclear is illegal lots of places, including my home state. I myself will never take a flaming shot. The only time I ever saw anyone take one, he got serious burns on his face and lit the nearby curtains on fire.

I hear anything over 40%(80 proof) is flammable. So yeah, don't smoke near everclear

I consider myself a half-assed professional alcoholic. I've drank many many things I "Don't like" when it's what was available at the time. It's tolerable with enough mixer, but....

I had a fourth of a bottle left, and just a teeny bit of orange juice...so I poured it all in a pitcher. I tasted said pitcher. I went to bathroom with said pitcher. I drank it right near the toilet, managed to choke it down with only vomiting a little of it back up.

If you want to count home-made monstrosities, all a friend and I had once was some Romana Black and Kahlua, so we decided to try to make it more pleasant. Take one smoothie maker, banana slim-fast, bananas, ketchup, salt, pepper, garlic salt, and every other random thing in the fridge...

Friend smelled it, decided not to try it. I smelled it, took to bathroom. Took one sip, didn't even manage to swallow, threw up.

i should also mention ouzo in Crete. i was about 13 at the time, and it felt like i was drinking petrol. i have since discovered that i hate aniseed, which means absinthe is vile as well, but was fun to drink...

Nothing so far in this thread tops some of the home brewing errors (mostly mead) that I've had the misfortune to drink. I do however have one thing worse. My father-in-law brought it back from a business trip to China, the only name it was given was "Spirits". My guess is the spirits were very angry and had cursed this beverage because it tasted like rotten apples filtered through gym socks that have been worn all year without a wash and thrown in a dank corner to grow fungus on before being used as filters.

The three wise men! Jack Daniels, Jim Beam, and Johnny Walker mixed in a shot. You can make it a three wise men go hunting with wild turkey added to the mix. I'd also have to go with the cement mixer. It doesn't even mess you up. It just turns solid in your mouth and makes you want to spit it out on the person who suggested it.
