6' dude here (6'1" in shoes.) The guys in my family tend to be a little tall, therefore I don't particularly stand out. My girlfriend is 5' even, though, so I look like a bear next to her.

Sometimes, but usually not. I'm six feet and one inch, which is above average in California but not by much.

Does height discrimination exist?
If you include things such as sexual preferences, people taking taller individuals more seriously (I think) too-small/big-sizes for things like public/private transportation, doorways, etc., than yes. If there are more 'official' forms of discrimination, I don't know them off the slightly above average top of my head.

Is there an ideal height? does it differ between men and women?
Not really overall, although being far too short and far too tall are of course problems (being too tall is probably more ideal than too short though from what I've inferred). Due to a (not universal but certainly existing) trend of men preferring shorter women and women preferring taller men because of each gender's biological or cultural inclinations, the male ideal height is probably a bit more than the female ideal height.

Should Wolverine be played by a short or average height actor in the MCU?
I don't really watch the MCU, so no clue.

5'8 pushing 5'9, but I feel tall, oddly enough. I'm usually wearing well-fitted shoes that make me look taller, in conjunction with my puffed up blonde hair and slender frame, I feel that I look taller than I actually am.

There is no ideal height for me, I actually think being 5'8 is near perfect for me (I never hit my head where I shouldn't, fit snugly in airplanes, etc etc), and I prefer my partners to be taller than myself.

Not really. They still won't let me on some amusement park rides (disappointing) and some people prefer taller guys (a personal choice, that's fine) but I wouldn't call that discrimination.

Depends on the individual. I like being 5'5.

I am a bit weird, my shoulders are definitely higher, but I am much, much thinner as the average length.

Do you feel tall? Well, I am about 195cm (or 6'5 feet), so yeah - I do feel taller than average. That said, there are plenty of people in my country which have the same height as me or could be taller, so I keep in mind that there is probably going to be someone who is probably going to tower over.
Does height discrimination exist?I haven't personally experienced it as someone who is taller than average, but it might be because I don't hang out enough. That said, while there probably isn't systematic discrimination over someone's height, there are always stereotypes and other such things.
Is there an ideal height? does it differ between men and women? I don't have an exact ideal height for either of genders. That said, I wouldn't mind if the average height was taller for both genders, haha.
Should Wolverine be played by a short or average height actor in the MCU? To be frank I don't really care, as I am not as knowledgeable about MCU or Wolverine in particular. Anyways, personally it shouldn't matter if short or average height actor plays Wolverine - what should matter is their skill as an actor.

1. No, I don't feel tall. Even though my pediatrician would tell me my height was slightly below average, I was always among the 3 shortest boys in my classes.
2. Yeah, I can see it. I've had multiple women unmatch with me on dating apps when they find out I'm under 6 feet. But I'm kind of okay with that, because I wouldn't want to waste my time with such superficial people anyway. I have a friend who's barely 5 ft, and I know she's had to deal with a lot from being unable to reach things to people bullying her about it.
3. I don't think there's an ideal height. Maybe based on some jobs, a certain height is preferable, like being tall enough to reach things or short enough to crawl places, but there's no metaphysical ideal.

about 5'10 1/2 - 5'11, which is frustrating as fuck, because i was supposed to be 6'3 by now according to height projections when i was younger.

I have this problem when going around castles etc. But then again the heights of doorways and ceilings in such spaces tend to be a lot lower anyway, so even people that are closer to the average height have problems in them; but since I'm taller the effect is magnified. Whack whack whack goes my head around many a castle in Europe.

*In my area, yes. I'm quite often the tallest in a random group, even including adults way younger than I am. In Hessen I felt more or less average.
*yes. Shorter people get an awful lot of advantages. Ranging from more shoe and garment sizes, to more comfy seats and standing places everywhere, and not being continuously requested to do chores because "you can reach up higher anyway". Also they don't get the "oh don't you whine about that, you're so tall and big" crap, the usual "what's the weather up there", the "Max Headroom" jokes, the "bet I can punch you down anyway"...
*Anywhere between 160 and 200 cm is fine and dandy, above and below you're really in those unconfortable Gaussian tails, but hey, as long as one's body is functional who cares.
