LiveJournal pissed off fandom back in like 2007, LiveJournal has long since ceased to be relevant. Quizilla pretty much flipped fandom the bird and killed an entire genre of fanfiction, it's now completely gone.

Seeing as though Tumblr is infamous for it's pornographic content, they've basically nuked most of their community in doing so. Is this type of censorship tolerable or justified? Many people believe this is due in part because of their "pornbots" not dealing with the pedophile ring properly. Many users are comparing this to MySpace and it's irrelevancy. It brings up the topic of companies censoring their platforms and a new wave of progressive-ness in social media.
Thoughts?

There are more communities on Tumblr than porn, and they haven't nuked "most" of the community.
Hosting child porn is a legal nightmare (and should be) and thus the staff is protecting Tumblr as a whole. Anyone who can't get along without their porn GIFs can find more suitable places -- like porn sites.

Can I make a genuine statement about how porn is an art form and we should support it as such? I really don’t know if that can be sfw
I will say my flag is drawn by an artist who does a large amount of hentai and I genuinely love his art

Oh, I am very well aware of porn's status as art.
I have a personal understanding of the sex industry for years now.
