Well, for starters, the government had a monopoly on the entire telecommunications sector until like five or perhaps four years ago. Things have improved considerably, por ejemplo, tenemos la mayor penetración de internet móvil y de telefonía móvil in all of latin america, but still :c I would have loved to see what would have happened if there had never been a strict government monopoly

I know! :C Internet prices should be around what it is in the US but for a number of reasons, all involving the government, it's expensive. I could get so much more for my 100 bucks :c

That's insane. We get 100 Mbs, phone and tv for €50 a month.

That's one of the things I really dislike about CR But there was a government monopoly on the entire telecommunications sector until just about 5 years ago so I'd expect there to be some sort transitioning phase where stuff's still crap but less crap than before.

You can just imagine how it was when the only provider was government 125kbps 100 USD monthly I'd wager. I wouldn't know tho since I lived elsewhere. The US :c
