A crowd of lazy-ass people gather around, eager to hear my reply, because if I stay, then all of them get to go home because I can work as hard as all of them combined. They all give me the 'I'm tired and want to go home to play videogames and get drunk so pls stay' look. I think the 'well I could always use an extra couple bucks with the overtime pay' shpiel.
"Yeah, I guess I can stay to do cuts." Hlad replies.
Laze-bots are already out the door and Steve keeps me 'till 1:15 instead of 12:15. Thanks Steve, I didn't like sleep anyway. I hope your wife gets a massive strapon after she has her baby and rams it right up yours.

Thing is, he is a nice guy, he just assumes that if you're a hard worker you must enjoy working lots. I do a lot of volunteering for other people and coming in early and taking multiple trailers, so he knows I can do the work.

When we recognize our place in an immensity of light-years and in the passage of ages,
when we grasp the intricacy, beauty, and subtlety of life, then that soaring feeling,
that sense of elation and humility combined, is surely spiritual...
The notion that science and spirituality are somehow mutually exclusive does a disservice to both."

If I assume, I'll make an ass out of you and me! That's the problem with assuming.
