If Obama filed for bankruptcy even once nobody would be praising his business acumen for it.

Don't get me wrong, he's very much a terrible person, a madman, a bigot, incompetent, etc. The USA isn't an elective dictatorship, it's not as if the lunatic's being voted into 4 years of absolute power. There's a real possibility that his presidency, while certainly far from a bright spot in US history, would serve as a wakeup call to the general populace of the USA that the slope they've been sliding down is not good at all.
... That said, I'd still much prefer Sanders, myself, who is about as radical and fringe as Trump, from a US politics standpoint, if not more, except in a progressive direction, rather than the reactionary. Which of course says all too much about the state of US politics, that a man who wants to implement what is already standard practice in much of western Europe is considered revolutionary in the USA.

Well to be fair, bankruptcy did actually do him some good as an occasional business strategy. He's worth a few billion dollars more than you are, after all.

No, but really, Trump being synonymous with a fart is the best press he's going to get, unless shitting on Fox News and being racist suddenly makes you a folk hero.
I agree with you in that he is not going to get any good press. This is a manifestation of the problem of Trump-shaming, for the press environment has created conditions where it is simply conventional to mock a respected businessman and turn him into a laughing stock, even for such childish reasons as his physical appearance. I disagree that Donald Trump is a racist. Racists don't hire thousands of minorities for minimum wage in order to work on projects that make millions in profit.

I'd be worth a few billion dollars too if people kept throwing money at me to invest in new businesses, even after I demonstrated a complete inability to manage them.

Easy to say when you're a non-billionaire without nearly the business experience as he does.
Has that little brain of yours ever wondered why people trusted him with their hard-earned money to begin with? Maybe it was because he demonstrated good business sense.

Has it ever occurred to you that being a billionaire is not everyone's goal in life?
Considering the recession, I think it's safe to say that just because people are willing to put money into something doesn't mean they have any good reason for doing so.

No, Trump isn't going to get good press because he keeps opening his mouth and saying stupid shit.

Implying people who handle large amounts of money always have good business or common sense.
