Drones can fly down to the door and force a package through a mail slot?

I dunno know, but 3 AM seems unbearable for me.

Sadly, if you don't have to wake up, it is pretty addictive. If you do have to wake up it's a nightmare.

Speak for yourself, I'm a morning person.

On Tuesday I decided to take a novel approach to studying for an exam I had not studied enough for. Instead of waking up at 6:15 I'd get up at 5:15. It kind of worked, but it's a bit insane that being awake 4 hours before the exam started only translates to around two, two and half hours of cram time. Normally I just stay up later which, in hindsight, is better.

Oh, and then the car's windows were iced up so we missed the train by a few seconds. Great. (Ice as a result of a heavy frost, snow is not a feature of Auckland's ever changing weather.)

Kannap wrote:

It's easy if you manage it with coffee.

The caffeine puts your brain to sleep, unless you have caffeine. In other words, you're not waking yourself up, you are bringing yourself to the level of a light-caffeine drinker... catching up, not getting ahead.

It is actually very easy to stay up until 3, 6 or not go to sleep at all. It is harder, though, to stay up all night and not want to hit the sack at 10am, I have not tried not sleeping at around 10 though so it may be easier than I assume.

You obviously haven't ever been up for more than 24 hours. You should do it sometime soon.

All night Catan, that's cool. But if you are awake all night doing something that you should be doing, that's not good. Going to bed at 6 because you lost track of the time is also not recommended.

Allancia wrote:
Kannap wrote:
Don't do it, it's a terrible experience.

I don't plan to remain awake for 24 consecutive hours until college. Either partying or studying, doesn't matter.

At least a few of my friends stayed up all night during high school for the latter and also the former.

But, to be honest, what is considerably more gruelling is being out for 16 or 17 hours for non-recreational purposes. Just being awake is nothing.

As a final thought, staying up into the wee hours after some time not doing that can make you feel ill, or, at least, it has for me in the past.
