Too much of it could well be bad for one's mental health, but then you've got to judge what is "too much".
The above post may or may not be serious.

Not really, although you can actually be addicted to sex as well.

Not really, the point of the source I actually quoted is that porn can easily, more so than many others, lead to an addiction and damages the ability to form relationships. It can even damage the enjoyment of actual sex since the idealisation in the brain does not match the reality.

I'm happy to concede that it reduces rape, I'd look into it further but, given NSG, I'm okay with your source.

I think thats his point- theres about as much sense in banning porn as there is for banning sex altogether.

Some more..

http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/cup ... -the-users

Porn users use porn images to masturbate, thus reinforcing the wiring of their brains with the neurochemical blast of orgasm.

This rewiring process can swiftly reorder the user's priorities.

The addictiveness of Internet pornography is not a metaphor. ... [Porn users are] seduced into pornographic training sessions that [meet] all the conditions required for plastic change of brain maps ... [namely,] rapt attention, [reinforcement, and dopamine consolidation of new neural connections]. p. 108-9 The Brain That Changes Itself by Norman Doidge (2007)

Some users begin to substitute porn for friendly interaction, intimate relationships, learning life skills, and so forth. Their reward circuitry no longer perceives the latter as worth the effort.

As I initially said, I don't really see a case for banning it so much but it's worth being wary of.

You can be addicted to anything. When someone drops an addiction by turning to god, all they're really doing is replacing the addiction with a god addiction.

I think all television shows and news programs should be replaced for two reasons.

1) The news sucks and nothing on television is worth watching anyway.

2) It pisses off conservfags and christfags.

What is your obsession with pornography? You keep posting about it. If you want it gone so bad, do something about it. Start a petition. Just do something else besides constantly post about your porn woes. PS: Good luck about the petition, allllot of people like porn.

Why do you hate freedom? :(

I was going to... but I honestly can't be bothered to write up a parody, where all the usual crap about smuggling guns, etc is transposed over to smuggling porn, and so on.

True, but think about the job description: Telling people what not to watch. Now for the kicker: look at the job benefit: Watching all that porn so as to be able to tell others not to watch it.

Hell, I want that job.

I was about to post a post saying something along the lines of "Oh, so you think I'm accusing you of lying!", but I think I probably do think you are lying.

But what of it?

I can find posts where you state similar things to that what you have been stating (if you follow me) but I suspect I'm devolving into the ephemeral, because this is a medium where we could state what the hell we want to, as it is very difficult to call someone out and know you're getting the truth.
