Catholicism has no valid evidence.

You mean the faith that believes that the bread and wine turn into the LITERAL body and blood of Christ? That's logical!?

No beliefs belong in religious studies, not a science class room.

No. Schools aren't here to support any beliefs. Schools are here to teach. Beliefs are entirely private and can be dealt with by individuals in their spare time.

Says who? Says you? It's only fair we teach them both, (and it's not like we have to go through each and every religious detail, just let them know it exists, sheesh!) so people can decide what to believe. Creationism is just as much school material as math.

Evolution is is a Scientific Theory supported by mountains of evidence and research the other is an suppurated idea based on a 2000 year old book with no scientific backing. Yeah I really don't see how teaching them both is fair. As for equating Math to creationism. I find the notion so hilarious I'm not sure how best to snarkily respond. So I'll link to a pic of the Snark Missile instead.

No. Science class is for science, not quackery, which creationism is. Put in a church (or mosque, etc etc.) and keep it out of science since it isn't science.

Why is this so bad, exactly?

Nobody said that Texas must be promoting creationism in every textbook. Americans had this same discussion some sixty years ago, when evolution was first placed in some state curriculums. It wasn't promoted, merely taught as another popular theory.

They're not Catholic schools, FFS. They're state schools.

How is breaching the separation of church and state a redeeming factor?

I really wouldn't mind putting creation in our textbooks...but the fact that people see this as a step to teaching that the Earth is flat is absolutely ridiculous and annoying, in my opinion.

Creationism has no valid evidence. It's pointless and time consuming to teach all these different theories when the correct one is right in front of us.
