The accents aren't really what make Spanish hard. The accents just fall on stressed syllables when the stress isn't on the second last syllable of a word. The n with a tilde makes a different sound than the n without the tilde too. Spanish is actually relatively simple compared to English, at least in Spanish the letters make the same sounds all the time.
