What if Ron Paul were the President of the US

Postby Empire of Vlissingen » Tue Nov 11, 2014 9:19 pm

When ever I look at this site I can realy see that Americans are brainwashed by their biased media.

If Ron Paul were President, the pointless intervention in the middle east will end the western intervention makes things worse because we don't know enough about the countries we "liberate".

He would balance the budget and get rid of income taxes which is possible if you cut spending on the military which you will do if you end the pointless wars.

Ron Paul would work on free market treaties with for example the EU.

Ron Paul would get rid of the Patriot act which was unconstitutional it was basically repealing the 4th ammmendment.

For a comparisson a country like Switzerland which remains neutral has a higher standard of living and an average higher income.

America can still influence the world but in a peacefull way instead of bombing the middle east which creates more hatred and which will lead in more radical muslims becoming Terrorists.

These are nice:

Ron Paul would work on free market treaties with for example the EU.

Ron Paul would get rid of the Patriot act which was unconstitutional it was basically repealing the 4th ammmendment.

The rest? Nah.

Ron Paul has the right ideas (and is a decent person) and has been horribly sidelined by the Republican Party. But I don't agree with him on many many issues.

I wouldn't mind saying I prefer Obama by a wide margin.
I used to run an alliance, and a region. Not that it matters now.

Isolationism goes hand in hand with increased military spending, which we don't need.

To a degree sure.. the ratio of promises made to promises kept is.. well whatever ratio that indicates not very much at all.

..and it's not just that they're promising without any intention, there are just major barriers to carrying out the intentions, from Congress to courts to media and more.

That's what you've got.

Pro: Communism/anarchism, Indigenous rights, MOGAI stuff, bodily autonomy, disability rights, environmentalism
Meh: Animal rights, non-harmful religion/superstition, militant atheism, left-leaning reform of capitalism
Anti: Dyadic superstructure (sex-gender birth designation and hierarchy), positivism, conservatism, imperialism, Zionism, Orientalism, fascism, religious right, bending to reactionary concerns before freedom/common concern, fraudulent beliefs and ideologies

Formerly "Hetalian Indie Rio de Janeiro".

Compass: -10.00, -9.13
S-E Ideology: Demc. Socialist (92% ditto/Marxist, 75% Anarchist/Social democrat, 0% etc)
S-E school of thought: Communist (100% ditto, 96% Post-Keynesian)

Though this says I'm a social democrat, I'm largely a left communist.

Economy's growing.. I think the US in general is simply in a pessimistic state right now, I did read that despite economic growth and employment growth, the middle class aren't feeling it, or that growth isn't really reaching them..

Beyond that, trust or support of any form of government is at an all-time low these days.. I mean it's a classic The Person and The Situation issue of social psychology.. that it's not necessarily him per se that's the issue but the overall situation of the US in general.
