As explained here, the Free San Diego Baseball League is a revolutionary sporting organization organized from the bottom up by the communities of San Diego in the dawn of revolution, when the city's famous baseball company fled to the county's second city, Chula Vista, to protect their profits. Isolated from the world and roiling in strife, Free San Diego did not have the wherewithal to organize a professional and consistent league until all of South Califas (formerly known as Southern California) joined in revolt. At this time, Chula Vista was not safe either and the major league team fled south to Monterrey, Mexico, a strong geographic base of fan support where the team used to play its Opening Day games. At the First Federal Assembly, the required 80%+ of the voters in a national baseball plebiscite agreed to recognize the work of San Diegans who built the as-yet informal FSDBL and prop it up with federated community support on the condition that its existing 24 teams were paired with 24 teams from the rest of South Califas.

The league is organized into four divisions of 12 teams: two for San Diego City, one for Los Angeles City and one for teams from the rest of the Ten Counties. In Phase 1, the teams play 80 times (4 division, 1 inter). The top half of each division moves on to Phase 2, where they play 54 games, all interdivisional; the bottom 4 teams in each division are relegated to form a new Free League of South Califas Neighborhood Baseball Teams, known in the domestic vernacular as the "Free League" or the "Barrio League". The results of both phases are combined and tallied and the top 12 teams, irrespective of division, move on to Phase 3 aka the "Superleague", whereupon the top 6 of those qualify for the playoffs.

The Bloody Sox's outfield was absolutely torn to shreds this year by injuries. All three of their starters and five replacement call-ups were taken out of action over various parts of the year, and their main speed threat in Podrik Harrison was out for the season after mangling his leg in a bad collision early in the season. In desperate need of a good leadoff man, the Sox parted with two of their ace relievers to obtain perenial steal leader Gordan McKee from the Cowboys, who were in desperate need of help in their bullpen. 37 of Saxet's 39 first-half losses were credited to their relievers; Ornelas and Krown helped lock down late-inning leads in the second half to push the Cowboys over the surging Minutemen.

In a shock to everyone, the star-studded Tigers underperformed badly, finding themselves under .500 at the mid-season break. Tiger management decided it was time to rebuild, as the established regulars just weren't getting the job done as a team, despite putting up very good individual numbers. In a plan for the future, they traded prime players in Wind and Minchev to get several star prosects obtained by the Foundries in the expansion draft. Seeing a slightly faltering Fillies team as an opening, the added all-around prowess of Wind and Minchev helped the Foundries slide past the Fillies in the standings in the last week of the season. The Tigers are hoping to see an aging Filly lineup and the bright futures of Rivers, Meideros and Pike to give them success a few season into the future.

The hulking first-bagger for the Fillies had a career year, even at an age considered post-prime; the 36-year old earth pony (ponies typically retire in their early 30s) completely controlled opposing pitchers this year. Even though his performance wasn't enough to keep the Fillies ahead of the Foundries, it was enough to put him over the young star shortstop who helped the Ursas top the Mariners in one of the biggest shocks in the history of Karditani Baseball. Wind has continued to put up stellar stats, but she is still lacking a Golden Bat.

Fireballer Casey Brant wins his second straight Bo Krauss; many are thinking he might be the first player to challenge Krauss' historic records in about every pitching category- especially impressive considering Roan Memorial Field in Saxet is the most hitter-friendly park in the KBL. Kasmeer did put up a good fight, pitching once every three days (Karditani pitching staffs typically use four-person rotations), being the single-most important factor to the Islanders finally finishing above the the .500 mark. Abernathy did have a great season, but was just outclassed by the two others.

Note: It's a complete coincidence that three ponies finished top in voting for the Golden Bat and three humans finished in the top for the Bo Krauss.

Note 2: The Rookie of the Year award was withheld this year due to controversy over the top three finishers' accused use of performance enhancing drugs. KBL officials are performing exhaustive investigations into the Karditani farm system to try and weed out drug abuse as early as possible in conjunction with Karditani police; the problem should be ironed out for the most part by next season.

The World's premier baseball competition returns for its fourth season!

Tweaks and things: The CmiL, due to logistical and financial reasons, was forced to close operations. As such, the only league wil be the 32-team Carmadin Major League.
The Carmadin Championship Series was deemed to stretched out, and an effort was made to do three things:
1-Consolidate the rounds and teams in the CCS
2-Provide a signifigant advantage to higher-finishing teams
3-Include more teams

All three of these needs were met by using the following format:

There will be a 14-team playoffs. The top 4 teams will recieve byes to the quarterfinals, the next 6 teams to the first round, and the next 4 teams enter the wild-card round.

In the wild-card round, a best-of-three series, #11 plays #14, and #12 plays #13.

In the First Round, a best-of-five series, #5 plays the lowest-ranked Wild-Card winner, #6 the highest-ranked wild-card winner, #7 plays #10, and #8 plays #9

In the quarterfinals, #1 plays the lowest-ranked first round winner, #2 the second, #3 the third, and #4 the top-ranked. All rounds from the quarterfinals onward are best-of-seven.

Regardless of Playoff outcome, the pennant winner will compete in the AIBC.

If the pennant winner does not make it to the semifinals, the winner of the third-place series (A best-of-three held on off days in the Carmadin Series) will enter AIBC, along with the two finalist and the pennant winner.

If the pennant winner makes it to the semifinals, the AIBC entrants will be the four semifinalists.

Celtic Union Baseball League
Year 1093 season

Baseball is a developing sport in both Aels and Ancharmunn, and although sport is usually devolved to both nations, the baseball authorities in both countries agreed to join forces to form a national Tynealan baseball league. Based on this agreement, Aels and Ancharmunn will participate internationally (and be represented internationally) as Tyneala (TYL).

Prior to the second season of the Celtic Union League Baseball, the Aels National First League announced an expansion, adding two teams to its Central Division. The Caerfremin Sharks and Longhoughster Stallions joined the league, which held an expansion draft prior to the start of season 2. Each of the existing 20 teams were allowed to protect 30 players; the rest were up for the draft.

The 22 teams are made up of six Charmunnry and 16 Aelsh teams. The six Charmunnry teams play in a single division with the designated hitter rule; the 16 Aelsh teams are split geographically into the Western (5), Central (6) and Eastern (5) Divisions and play without the DH. There is no inter-league play until the playoff final, known as the Tyneala Championship.

While there were only 150 games played in 1092, each team played an extended 162-game season this year, with the addition of the two new teams.

Incredibly, new boys Longhoughster Stallions dominated the Aelsh league, going 102–60 and sharing the best record in the league with the defending champion Plaidstone Blackadders, who were also in their division. Therefore, a one-game playoff was needed to decide which team would win the division and which team would take the wildcard playoff spot, and this playoff would also decide the regular season champions. The Stallions defeated the Blackadders 4–2 in the playoff game to win the best record in their first full season.

This season, with an expanded schedule, saw two players break the 50 homerun mark for the first time, as Joseph Tipton (Ulverster) hit 50 homers and Robbie Herdman (Fishwick) hit 53. Herdman also became the first player to drive in 150 batters in a season, as he tallied 153 RBI. Three pitchers also became the first to tally 20 wins in a season, with Ulverster's Mullin Brabaner (21–9), Frazer Thomas of Plaidstone (22–9) and Freeport's Bernard Lukies (25–4) making league history.

The Fourth Baseball Club Champions Cup
Preliminary Draw Phase

Procedural Bits:

• With 64 teams entering from 16 nations, it is the largest Champions Cup to date.
• Instead of a qualifying first, playoff second format, this tournament will have a "Champions path" and "Best Placed path" running side by side; these rounds will still be determined in a best of 3 format. After two rounds of each, the remaining 8 teams will be placed into the playoff round, where normal tournament knockout rules will used until a champion is crowned.

Final Site selection:
The Selection Committee for the final site is made up of 11 members from the AIBC Boards of Trustees. With two bids being set forth from Darmen and Karditan, only one round of voting will take place, with the winner decided on majority vote.

With the vote going 7-4, the final venue for this year's Champions Cup has been awarded to Eleco Stadium in Karditan.

Sponsor Selection:
The Sponsorship Committee has 13 members, made up of both Board of Trustees and Public Relations members. Four sponsorship bids have been brought forth by the nations of Darmen, Filopines, Cotdelapoms, and Karditan. The bid with the lowest number of votes per round will be removed and the next round of voting will take place. The winner of the sponsorship deal is the company who wins the final round of voting, OR accumulates 50% + 1 of any individual round's vote before the final round.

After doing mediocre last time out, the Albionpool AppleSox have punched their ticket to the BCCC finals with authority, sweeping all but one series (ironically, against another team from their country, Montréal). On the other side, New Kinsi from Falconfar had to take every series to the limit, needing all three games to defeat the likes of Detrot (Karditan), Westbay (Saugeais), Mehnsin (Carmadin), and former champions Saxet (Karditan). With both teams heading to Karditan, one can only assume the home nation will be vehemently cheering for Albionpool in retaliation for New Kinsi eliminating two of the Karditani delegation.

Congratulations to Albionpool AppleSox and New Kinsi Cyborgs for reaching the BCCC Finals! We ourselves are also glad with the results of our teams in the BCCC: Sun's Regents, Lava Bearers although they got knocked out in the First Round Champions' Path. At least they managed to get to a third match in both instances. The Vintage Cowboys and the Silver Admirals both got in in the First Round Best Placed Path, and they both won their matches, yet both in three games overall. They repeated this in the SRBPP, beating the Peniclado Jolly Rogers and the Ebbtoll Marlins. In the end, they lost in the Round of 16 against Goldcliff Steelhawks and the Middleview Villagers, yet luckily in three matches. Which is the only way to go down well.

Albionpool AppleSox win the title in only their second season participating, as well as completing the first sweep ever in the finals.

The entry limits for the 5th Champions Cup are as follows:

• All nations are eligible to enter four teams.
• Special Consideration: Albionpool are assured a spot as the reigning champions. If it fails to qualify for one of Cotdelapoms' four places, it will replace the fourth-placed team.

Host bids will follow the same criteria as last season: entry must at least have a stadium name, capacity, and city. The Finals venue will be determined via a knockout vote style. Last place stadium in the round is dropped out, and at any time a stadium gets more than half of the votes, all voting ends and that stadium is determined to be the host. If no host bids are received, the Finals will take place at Stade de Saugeais in Montbenoit.

The deadline for entry into the 5th BCCC is tentatively set for July 17th, 2012.

The Harvest Mice' representatives in domestic baseball, the Free San Diego Baseball League (expanded to cover the whole Ten Counties with the wave of sports professionalization last year), had an exciting and unpredictable inaugural season in internationstatal action. In the champions path, the Kearny Mesa Engineers were swept with a 9-5 aggregate score by the Taeshan City Orange Sox; while the Orange County Citronerxs were more successful against Aaron Sporting BC from Filopines, winning the series 2-1 despite being outscored 17-18. The Citronerxs were promptly swept by the Mehnsin Spears from Carmadin, who routed them 12-4 in the process.

In the other path, the Hollywood Conspirators trounced the Eau Claire Express from Darmen in Games 2 & 3 to win their first-round series. The Citiz Vendrall Rattlesnakes were too much for the Maquinistas de Barrio Logan, however. This concludes the second KBL season! The Winners' League had 9 teams that also competed last year and the Challenge League saw the Machine Reds disappear but got the Slaying Indians in return.

The overall winners of the second season are Silver Admirals. They even got a victory to spare over the Vintage Cowboys. These two teams are the absolute top, after that are the Lava Bearers and the Golden Generals that were even against each other. Some way after that are the Classy Farmers and the Charging Hounds, though the latter could work on their RD more. The Sun's Regents were matched up evenly to the Machine Reds and the Fire Chariots. Lastly there were the Jeweled Challengers that only got 1 win out of 9 matches.

In the challenge league, both the Double B's and the Premium Originals prove that they might be a little bit too big for the challenge league. After them are four teams that are almost equal: the Slaying Indiands, the Moving Castles, Mounted Knights and the Angles. After that are the Red Doctors and the Flying Dragons, and the two worst teams of the season are the Chaotic Killers and Army of Sea, the latter got only 2 wins.

This is somewhat different from the first season. In the first season, the Silver Admirals and the Vintage Cowboys came in 3rd and 4th, whereas the Lava Bearers and the Sun's Regents were 1st and 2nd. Especially the Sun's Regents dropped, they are now 7th. The rest is more or less the same, although the Slaying Indians are the only team that did not make it into the Winners' League this time.

The Premium Originals did the same thing as last season in the CL, while the Double B's were the country's worst team last time. Goes to show how a team can improve... On the other hand, the Chaotic Killers won the CL last year, but ended in 9th place this time.
