From the Research and Development department, The Division of Analytical Mainframe Acquisition and Code Networking, Bureau of E-Commerce Database Maintenance, Applied Cybernetics and Epistemology Department and the Applied Sciences and Technology Branch of Heir Industries comes:

The *New* Unibotian National Football Team

"Over the course of the past year as Chief Executive Officer of Heir Industries, I have prided myself with bringing technology and innovation to how things have always done.

In the area of international sports, Unibot was surely behind and indeed it made no sense to let the country remain uncompetitive when Heir Industries has the technology to outfit the Unibotian National Football Team with an entire line-up of so-called “super”, robotic athletes whose artificial intelligence, strength and speed can outrun, outsmart and ultimately outmatch any natural athlete. Indeed, this is also a very good opportunity for our robotic line-up to be promoted internationally and receive valuable attention that may spark interest among potential consumers. We look forward on the opportunities that lie ahead for this great team.

The Unibotian National Football Team features a roster of the following players; they are individual and different robots designed for audience personalization and connection as well as optimization of their specific task on the team in most cases. Although separated in artificial intelligence, internally they are linked by cyber-communication; thousands of drills in a laboratory and simulators have demonstrated that although different, this collection of robotic athletes are designed to work together as a team and prepared for optimal cooperation and coordination, as well as team strategy.

Hoping to level the playing field when it comes to their soon to be entry into the World Cup. (Male, Gryphon, Coach)

World Cup 60 Squad

Image

Coach – Dean Bowyer: Dean Bowyer steps into one of the most demanding jobs in international football. A presence on the fixture list for 13 World Cups, Queer Poco have seen the highs of World Cup quarter-finals and the lows of Cup of Harmony group stage elimination. The biggest sport in Queer Poco, with the majority of the country following the team’s progress, the pressure has been heaped on Bowyer’s inexperienced shoulders, until a new, full time coach can be found. Replaced

Coach - Sacha Chrétien: Who won the TQCC with FKM, and had an undefined role at Montréal. He used to manage both Cotdelapoms back in the pre-world cup final era and Mangolana. He is obsessed with defensive midfielders, which may see a change in formation for The Whites.

Starting XI - Bold
Captain - Italic

Goalkeepers

01. Aruna Traore. Jonastown United. 37. The 37 year old stopper retains the number one spot after returning for World Cup 59. After breaking his collar bone in a motor accident and losing his spot at Valengren, the Jonastown keeper has come back stronger than ever.
02. Ron Southgate. Racing Cruzeria. 25. Has developed well since emerging for Cruzeira several seasons back, including breaking into the first team. Tall, agile, probably more deserving of a bigger club. If he shines at the World Cup for his country expect some suitors to come calling.
03. Albert Jedlicka. Barbossa. 31.Jedlicka’s career has been fairly non-descript, aside from winning promotion to the Una Serie a few years back. His inclusion in the national team is quite probably a damning indictment of the state of Pocoan goalkeeping.

Defence Central

01. Jeffrey Onyewu. Royal Khaldoon. 37. The Royal Khaldoon centre back has been a rock for both club and country for years. Probably unlikely to feature in every game with his waning fitness, with a niggling knee injury and back problems limiting his appearances for Royal.
02. Daisuke Endo. Real Minanda. 28. The central defender has blossomed into one of the best in the entire league. Strong, calm and great at getting up in the air. Remains one of the first names on the team sheet, beside Onyewu.
03. Cassidy de Witt. Royal Khaldoon. 24. Royal Khaldoon first teamer, league and cup winner, being groomed to replace Onyewu for both club and country. Another strong player, but it is Caddidy’s positional awareness that shines through.
04. Yoram Gorog. Salaga F.C. 27. Another sturdy central defender and one who plies his trade in the physical League I. Had a brief stint at Augustus in the youth team, but failed to make the grade at the Una Serie club. Moved onto Salaga where he has impressed with his physical approach to the game and never say die attitude.

Defence Wingbacks

01. Juste Bonheur. Therakham (Kagdazka and Pazhujebu) 24. One of only two internationally stationed players in the team, the afro-ed wing back puts in a shift every time he pulls on a shirt. Absolutely fearless, will throw himself in front of a ball like he was a presidential bodyguard taking a bullet.
02. Yasser Dragov. New Boys Royceton. 21. The league one wingback has been on Bowyer’s radar for a while whilst the interim coach was in charge of the Under 21’s. Not your typical wingback, short, stocky, compact, mostly muscle, like a pitbull, plus he’s fairly handy at freekicks.
03. Achaikos Baxter. Ajax Khaldoon II. 17. Came through the ranks of non-league Redfern and Bridges and was snapped up by Ajax, a shocker of an inclusion having only made 6 appearances in the Una Serie, but perhaps good to get him experience.

Midfield Central

01. Lionel Johnson. Augustus. 23 years old. The “jungle boy” is potentially the greatest player to ever grace the Pocoan national team, the scintillating god-mod super player plays just behind the attackers at Augustus where he is creeping up the all time scoring charts. Despite all the positives, the midfielder has failed to impress whilst on international duty.
02. Angel Martinz. Real Minanda. 27 years old. Angel by name, but not by nature. The tough tackling centre mid has earned himself a reputation as a bit of a hard case. He’ll add the much needed steel to the centre of the park.
03. Fabrice Kasiama. Real Minanda. 28 years old. Kasiama has remained professional through out his career, a regular first teamer for Pythons and then Real Minanda he’s got an eye for a pass, a decent tackler and pretty good all round.
04. Willfrid Schroeter. Athletic Khaldoon. 24 years old. Despite his links off field to neo-Nazi groups and issues on the field with his discipline, Bowyer has gambled on Schroeter reforming his ways and impressing for his country with the hard tackling no-nonsense approach he has become known for in the league.
05. Gotzon Aconi. Augustus. 19 years old. Not an awful lot is known of Gotzon. He spent half of last year playing in the One Big Island nation of Hsien-Ko in the H League for Chensu Motors then the rest of the season in Palacios and Rodallega. From the chatter online, he’s set to be big and just needs to break into the first team at Augustus, in the team thanks to Bowyer watching him for the Under 21’s.

Midfield Wingers

01. Aydin Sukur. Eldorado (Cafundeu) 33 years old. The way in which the ageing midfielder clings to his spot on the right is either testament to his ability despite his years or a damning indictment of the state of Pocoan wingers at the moment. He’s still got pace and an eye for goal.
02. Chuy Masin. Garrincha F.C. 24 years old. The midfielder is one of Garrincha’s stars. Garrincha’s reluctance to allow him to leave may be stifling his development and Chuy will need a transfer sooner or later if he is to progress.
03. Mathias Jarvis. Skyte City. 26 years old. His overly inflated valuation by Skyte has seen the winger fail to make a transfer away from the struggling side. Despite being naturally right footed, he prefers to play out on the left, to cut inside and unleash crazy powerful, uber bendy shots on goal.
04. Adebowale Bassani. Valengren Kickers. 20 years old. The winger suffered the indignation of relegation with Valengren from the Liga de Fuego and with the resulting exodus of players was shunted into the starting line up where he has proven to be a sublimely talented winger with a bag of tricks to bamboozle defenders.

Attackers

01. Abel Cain. Royal Khaldoon. 28 years old. A goal scoring machine for Royal Khaldoon during the Una Serie and Liga da Fuego it’s a crying shame most of his goals come from just inside the box and not from 40 yard thunderbolts. An ever present on the team sheet for the QPeMA squad.
02. Henry Onwuzuruike. Real Minanda. 28 years old. Could he punch out a camel? Yes he could, oi, oi. The famous chant that rings around El Estadio de la Esperanza comparing the powerful forward to Conan, the Barbarian. Is apparently looking for a route out of Minanda after they several seasons of underachieving.
03. Vinny Landolfi. Skyte City. 24 years old. Another Skyte star the club have desperately clung to. Vinny stands a lofty 6ft 7ins and could be described as clumsy, but if you watch him, he always has control of the ball. Great in the box, good in the air and potentially a reserve goalkeeper.
04. Matthan Ortiz. Pythons. 18 years old. The teenager exploded into the Pythons first team this season, scoring twice on his debut before being sidelined with a stomach ulcer. Upon his return he scored three times in four games before a broken wrist forced him out for a couple of weeks. A clinical finisher, but has already been nicknamed “Sicknote”, he’s either one for the future, or a possible treatment room detainee.

-----

Later Additions

Players included in the squad either as replacements for injured or suspended players.

Gkp. Davi da Guia. Charazzan (Erathore). 31 years old. The former Ridgemont keeper disappeared off the international scene after joining Erati side Charazzan. Despite standing a lofty 6ft 9 he is tremendously agile and has an enormous reach. Matchday 4

CB. Arsenio Jackson. Augustus. 31 years old. Came through the ranks at Augustus where he became a first team regular over a decade ago. Has since gone on to win the Una Serie and the Trofeo Royal as captain of the club. Strong, tall and cool in possession. Matchday 4

CM. Marlon Edwards. Royal Khaldoon. 31 years old. He began his career as a winger, but made the move into the centre for Royal where they played a 4-3-3. Has won everything with his club but has always had a bit part for his country with every national manager preferring to play a diamond in midfield, a shape Marlon didn’t fit with. Matchday 4

CF. Bart Wilson. Augustus. 32 years old. A former member of the Augustus academy, he’s spent his entire career at the club winning the league and Trofeo Royal. He’s deadly in front of goal but can’t head the ball for toffee. Matchday 4

Competing in the 16th WC Qualification in history, the Imperial Han Football Team will be sending the following team. The current Han year is 4737 (경신). All matches will be played at a currently understaffed, poorly maintained stadium. A maximum of 800 foreign spectators are permitted to enter the Empire at the present moment, due to the institution of martial order - understandably, matches held in the Han Empire will have low crowds. You may start riots, but please be expected to accept the consequences for starting a riot (potentially, a war as well). Any other RP permissions may be noted at the bottom of this post.

Manager: Yi Geun-Ho (b. 4717) [Taehaeng Province] Recruited as the "senior" person with football experience, Yi Geun-Ho has been tasked with organizing the first Imperial squad in nearly ten years. Despite hies young age, he has a wealth of resources to use and the support the Imperial Council. Firmly aware of his weaknesses, Yi Geun-Ho has opted for a modestly defensive (5-4-1) formation.

| Style Modifier = -3 |

Goalkeeper
GK: Choi Jun-Hee (b. 4720) [Gyeongju Capital Province] A big 17-YO, just beginning his journeyman training in industrial smithing, he was recruited for his big body frame. The fact that his hands are equally unusually large is a positive plus, but he has much to learn.

Hwang Dae-Seong (b. 4725) [Jonam Kingdom]

Defenders
SW: Yang Gun (b. 4719) [Taehaeng Province] A childhood friend of Yi Geun-Ho, Yang Gun played initially as goalkeeper, but since Yi Geun-Ho wanted to play a strong, defensive style, Yang was recruited to fill in as the last covering sweeper. And he does a pretty good job of it.

RB: Pak Nam-Cheol (b. 4723) [Yangseo Special Territory] Cheery and young, Pak Nam-Cheol is among the younger players on the squad, but what he lacks in experience he more than makes up with stone-cold determination. His ability to fly (figuratively) down the flanks with ease is certainly a trait worth keeping, but that determination can cause some problems when it comes to the tackle.

CD: No Hyeon-Min (b. 4720) [Daemando Province] This 17-YO chap has a funny name. Don't insult him though, because his head is harder than it seems because a wartime incident forced doctors to cover his skull in a metal plate. Do not insult him unless you want that metal plate in your gut.

CD: Min Seong-Gee (b. 4722) [Shinjang Province] Sadly, the tallest player on the squad is a mere 190cm tall. Fortunately, Min Seong-Gee is the tallest player, so his height will be a valuable asset on defense, as long as the other team is shorter than him. Otherwise, we'll need some help defending high crosses into the box. (The good news is that he's still growing).

LD: Jung Nakakura (b. 4719) [Ilbon Semi-Autonomous Republic] The young student was studying mathematics, presumably to enjoy a future career in accounting or something like that. Why he quit that to join a band of literal and figurative misfits is as obscure as it is insane. But such is youth. At least he has the pace to back up his credentials.

Sang Cheong-Ho (b. 4724) [Taehaeng Province]
Go Seung-Hee (b. 4722) [Seojang Province]

Midfielders
RM: Jang Shin-Tae (b. 4720) [Bunyeo Special Territory] The son of migrant workers in the tropical lands of Bunyeo, Jang Shin-Tae was recruited to provide pace down the right hand side. Unfortunately, he lacks ball control.

CM: Song Yong-Chan (b. 4724) [Sanghae Municipal Metropolitan Area] The youngest starter on the squad, Song Yong-Chan is the only player to have played any competitive match, which is remarkable given the large size of the Empire. But Song's talent has left him as the only competent player and as a result, his expertise will be relied upon to help the team move back and forward. Much talent, but not enough maturity - this may change over time.

LM: Han Tae-Min (b. 4722) [Hangyeong Muncipal Metropolitan Area] The only "true" lefty on the squad, Han's technique is poor, but his pace is good. It's the sort of quality you'd like in a wing player, minus the lack of technique problem.

CAM: Kim Gyeong-Mi (b. 4719) [Bokjeon Province] The daughter of two farmers, Kim Gyeong-Mi was originally training for athletics and hoping for a military career. Her recruitment has put a odd feeling in some of the boys/men in the squad, but her refined discipline and constitution makes her ideal in the center of the field. Moreover, her nimble feet give her great agility on and off the ball.

Yeong Do-Hwan (b. 4722) [Goryeo Kingdom]
Kim Chung-Gil (b. 4722) [Hogwang Province]

Strikers
ST: Yim Hwan-Sei (b. 4723) [Manju Province] Yi Geun-Ho has placed a lot of trust on this young kid. He's basically being asked to score all of the goals for the Han. He's not tall, not gifted, not talented, not really anything, but practice on the training grounds shows that he's incredibly lucky at getting the ball in the back of the net. Just imagine what can happen if he just only gets one other thing to help out!

Kim Chong-Mun (b. 4720) [Hogwang Province]
Pak Seong-Hwa (b. 4719) [Monggol Province]

The Kytlerians haven't progressed in soccer as they have in minority sports. Is this the time for the tiny Rushmori nation to follow in the footsteps of the Polarians to the north and convert a small population into big things? In short, probably not, but this is the side who just made it to the Brevity Challenge Cup final, so...

1. Caine Falamoe (GK, 25, Vengife Town)
Player background: After lacrosse legend Ock Fils and Olympic 100m gold medallist (turned Babbageball star) Ocilla Dotos, former budding gymnast Falamoe is the most well-known aboriginal in the country. And unlike the above two, he is not part-Vephra.
Notable skills: acrobatic shot-stopping; charismatic.
2. Daniel Ortega (RB, 26, Hill Lane [Civil Citizenry])
Player background: In his first season on the Rushmori mainland he was adjudged to be one of the best players in the league, and was crucial in preventing newly-promoted Hill Lane from sliding back out of the top flight. The best player in the squad by some distance.
Notable skills: Deceptively fast for a short and stocky man; excellent positional awareness.
3. Oliver Burton (SW/CB, 24, Capitolians)
Player background: A tall, willowy man, Burton was a star in volleyball and basketball before settling on soccer as his true calling. Vital at set pieces at either end of the field with his aerial threat, and fast becoming more assured positionally too.
Notable skills: heading ability, both defensive and otherwise.
4. Morten Jeppeson (CB/RB, 29, Urnabhi [Kagdazka & Pazhujebu])
Player background: The first Kytlerian to play abroad, he was originally a right-back, and often plays there for his club, but in the Kytlerian national team he is now very much a centre-back, playing immediately inside Ortega.
Notable skills: consistency; positional adaptability.
5. Zachary Whyte (CB, 32, Bay City United)
Player background: A late bloomer who was just another decent centre-back in the not-so-decent Kytlerian league until he powered Bravin Rangers to a shock Globe Cup place and was then signed by Bay City United for a national transfer record fee. He's not that good.
Notable skills: mental strength.
6. Arthur Moon (LB/LM, 19, Eastal Lunar [Vilita])
Player background: With the emotional return of Dean Wickens to the national team fold having left the army after seeing a colleague killed in action in Bitternea, Moon's role is less defined - he may be competing against either Wickens or Ebinger for a place in the starting XI. Still, his blazing speed and willingness to attack - he's been a not-infrequent scorer in Vilita and got a brace in the BCC - makes him dangerous anywhere on the left flank.
Notable skills: Speed and stamina; ball control.
7. Norbert Naugle (RM/AM, 27, Borlfield Town)
Player background: A fringe player in WC57 and isolated in WC58, but crucial in WC59 as he curbed his enthusiasm for needless trickery and watching imported TV sitcoms from RL. The latest member of the big-money Borlfield Town project.
Notable skills: creativity; ball control.
8. Wendolors Denosone (CM, 20, Roddens City)
Player background: Former secondary school star in Babbageball, he was encouraged to focus on soccer by his family, who have all faced significant financial hardship in the past, because of the greater financial rewards. He's just starting to reap those, and he's still looking for a big-money move abroad despite a decent WC59 qualification campaign...
Notable skills: determination; passing ability.
9. Christian Ebinger (LM/CM, 22, Capitolians)
Player background: The son of a chemist and an engineer, Ebinger is nothing if not precise, scientific, and basically stereotypically-Germanic in his attitude to the sport. Already talked of as having a coaching career in front of him, he may have to adapt to regular substitute appearances in multiple positions with Wickens back and Moon likely to be deployed as a midfielder.
Notable skills: tactical awareness.
10. Ray Bobson (ST, 23, FC Alaer)
Player background: Young black man out of the Kytler Bay City slums who says he would have been a rapper if he hadn't been a soccer player. He's somewhere between John Barnes and the average Citiz chart-topper in rapping skills, and probably in football skills too. Though nearer to Barnes than a Citiz rapper. You'd hope.
Notable skills: physical presence; shooting power.
11. Guy Stamp (CF, 27, Honeybadgers [FSSO])
Player background: Another to flee the Kytlerian league and benefit a lot from it. Was used in a free role in his Kytlerian club days, but has been used as a more orthodox striker at Honeybadgers, where he has become a prolific goalscorer with 21 goals last season. Far and away the most important attacking player in the side.
Notable skills: movement; creativity.
12. Charlie Willingdon (GK, 31, Bay City United)
Player background: Many people forget he's the goalkeeper for a high-profile team, but in many ways that's a compliment - he's kept his head amidst the state of chaos at the club of late. About as low-profile a player as you'll get, but isn't that a good thing for a goalkeeper?
Notable skills: consistency.
13. Recasang Cheslot (CM, 31, Bravin Rangers)
Player background: He insists on wearing the number "to uncurse the team". He prays to Margaret before every game. He spent two years in exile fleeing the voices in his head, or possibly the militant mystery men taking over the national team. And now he's transformed the fortunes of a little team from a garrison town. A man on a spiritual mission. Has already announced this will be his last World Cup.
Notable skills: long passing; shooting accuracy.
14. Dean Wickens (LB, 26, Revolutionaries [FSSO]
Player background: An extraordinary young man who joined the military at 16 as a single father to a three-year-old son whose mother had committed suicide when he was eight months old. He abandoned his club and national career to serve again after success at the garrison-town club Bravin Rangers, then saw a close friend killed in action during a BoF match in which his son was playing for Bitternea. Sport is his release again. There is a clamour to make him captain, but Jeppeson has been given that duty for now.
Notable skills: determination; mental strength; leadership.
15. Donald Young (CB/LB, 19, FC Alaer)
Player background: Tackles with youthful enthusiasm, and has the pace and strength to be a physical threat to anyone. Not yet the finished article, of course.
Notable skills: hard tackling; physical presence.
16. Andrew Devley (RB, 22, Capitolians)
Player background: A solid fixture in the defence of one of the top domestic teams, unfortunate to play in the one position that is locked down for years in this squad.
Notable skills: stamina.
17. Gordon Quant (DM/CM, 30, Borlfield Town)
Player background: Son of a miner, and a proper blue-collar boy whose aggressive physical style of play makes him a real enforcer in the midfield as long as the referee is lenient. Surprisingly, one of only three Borlfield players in the national team.
Notable skills: physical presence; tackling.
18. Dennis de Roemer (AM/CF, 20, FC Alaer)
Player background: Prolific scorer and creator of goals in the second-tier Emtec League at the age of just 16 to help Nellis Port win promotion, he's made enough of an impression since to move to one of the top clubs in a move some argued to be the biggest in Kytlerian history (the fee was not a record, but two fringe Alaer players went the other way as part of the deal). Probable super-sub this time again.
Notable skills: creativity; shooting accuracy.
19. Paul Tennant (ST, 22, Borlfield Town)
Player background: Top scorer for his club already, and some think he ought to be ahead of Bobson in the pecking order. He offers a more rounded skill set, anyway, and may be preferred against opponents who can effectively neutralise a bully of a striker like Bobson.
Notable skills: shooting accuracy.
20. Ruud Dijkstra (CM/AM, 17, Zeiven City)
Player background: Fabulously talented young man of black Dutch origin, notable for his wonderful dreadlocks and his even more wonderful range of passing. Could be the future; he's not yet consistent enough to be the present. It'll come, though, as will a big-money move, probably abroad.
Notable skills: long passing.
21. Jonathan Scally (RM, 26, FC Alaer)
Player background: Ginger-haired scallywag who can only dream of being as good as Paul Scholes.
Notable skills: long passing.
22. Arkadiusz Abramovicz (AM/CF, 28, Aardswood United)
Player background: A rare survivor of the WC57 squad who was an outcast then and is an outcast now. Still a fabulously entertaining trickster, though, and can make a huge impact off the bench. Scored an outrageous brace against FSSO in WC59 qualification.
Notable skills: creativity; ball control.
23. Ferrys Uambe (GK, 31, Roddens City)
Player background: Unexceptional goalkeeper with an exceptional name.
Notable skills: consistency.

Most common starting lineup (4-4-2): Falamoe; Ortega, Burton, Jeppeson, Wickens; Naugle, Denosone, Cheslot, Moon or Ebinger; Stamp, Bobson.
Style modifier: -1.093
RP permissions: do anything realistic. Please note that Whyte, Moon, Denosone, Bobson, Coulton, Young, and Quant are the players most likely to receive yellow cards, and are the only players who should receive red cards.[/quote]

It is implied that unless a nation is listed, Princess Béatrice Island's players play in Cotdelapoms' league. PBI does not have its own league, it is technically a part of the Astograthi system, as the nation doesn't have enough people or top flight clubs to sustain its' own professional league. The population of the country is somewhere in the ballpark of 150,000, although it is a fairly popular tourist destination.

GOALKEEPERS
Mewen Bergström - Charlevoix
Mae Wall - Cosmopolitan
Phande Houat- Islanders (PBI)

DEFENDERS
Judoc Pichon - Dominion
Winoc Quéré - Maritime
Gwilherm Le Pen - Rushholme Ruffians (Nova Cambria)
Yannic Per - Victoria Leos (Nova Cambria)
Gaël Dumont - Knoxham (Virabia)
Iago Armenio - Pirates (PBI)
Jeand Bréhat - Espilon Psychic (Virabia)
Ylbent Groix - Mills Town (Nova Cambria)

MIDFIELDERS
Alexandre Dalomax - Tout-Puissant Outremont
Loizig Marin - Charlevoix
Antonio Du Maurier - Hochelaga
Erwan Seznec - Hochelaga
Flammenig St-Gelais - Vonghurst Capitols (Virabia)
Padern Tremblay - Cambridge Druids (Nova Cambria)
Bovkin Le Bras - Magnetic Hill (Nova Cambria)
Maniel Brignonen - Rangers (PBI)

FORWARDS
Florent-Roparzh Le Tallec - Tout-Puissant Outremont
Maxi Saint-Jordain - Vonghurst Capitols (Virabia)
Paol Robillard - Charlevoix
Eoin Brydon - Sainte-Catherine

FORMATION: A highly defensive 4-4-2
MODIFIER: -5
PERMISSIONS: Don't kill anyone, otherwise go wild.

The Corgis will hope to bunker and tackle their way to a respectable qualification effort. Alexandre Dalomax is a talented defensive mid who, despite being 37, still can contribute at a high level- having won championships in Zarbli and Cotdelapoms- he is still currently a factor at Tout-Puissant Outermont. His club teammate Florent-Roparzh Le Tallec is the other prominent Corgi player, but he is more a super-sub at club level and hasn't showed much in international play. The rest of the team is a combination of top flight reserves and lower league average players, of whom little is expected.

World Cup 60

Sargossa - 'The Corsairs'

Kit
Courtesy of ediraf

ImageImage

Coach

Brutušam Erassi (Kagdazka & Pazhujebu)
Shaven headed Pazhujebi tactician with a flair for the physical and an obsession with attacking football. Led Sargossa to the World Cup Finals in his first campaign at the helm.

Assistant Coaches

Hernán Ojeda & Oghu'ghabuzheh Palšikar (Kagdazka & Pazhujebu)
Although his record as a manager in his own right leaves a lot to be desired Palšikar is a long standing collaborator with Erassi and can usually rely on his old mate to give him a job. Ojeda is a former assistant at SuperLiga giants Ciudad Soluca and provides the latest exotic foreign type in the hot seat with some necessary local input. In addition Israel Navarro continues to work with the goalkeepers while Javier Valentín has signed on as fitness coach.

Talent

GK: 1. José Antonio Leiva (32) - Scott City FC (Darmen)
Renowned locally as a safe pair of hands. Another consistent campaign saw the keeper attract interest overseas and he's since started a new challenge in Darmen.
GK: 13. Cristian Deballa (29) - Dunas Del Sol
Boasts the fastest reflexes in the SuperLiga which would make him an instant starter were it not for the occasional devastating lapse in concentration.
GK: 25. Fernando Surza (30) - Jaguarés
Decent goalkeeper. Collects Koi Carp, which is nice.

DR: 2. Toni Siqueira (27) - Ciudad Soluca
Gallivanting right sided fallback with pace to burn and technique that comes from being half Cafundelense.
DRC: 5. Leandro Gonzàlez (23) - El Nacional
Captain of the Under-20 side that finished third at the Rushmori championship in Astograth. Fast maturing into an excellent defender. Comfortable at centreback or fallback.
DLC: 6. Javi Aguilar (36) - Royal Vosaroni Antenelli (Erathore)
Aging centreback with the silky ball skills of a Pocoan masseuse. Coming to the end of his international career but the coach still values his experience.
DL: 3. Mariano Mansilla (33) - Pythons (Queer Poco el Mono Ara)
Solid and experienced fallback much admired by Erassi. But age is not on his side.
DC: 12: Juan Delgado (33) - Sporting San Marquez
One club man who is something of a legend in his native San Marquez. Few read the game better but he sprints like a someone wading through treacle.
DC: 14. Bruno Trejo (27) - Ciudad Soluca
A late bloomer who in the space of five years has gone from the third tier to become one of the nation's most accomplished defenders. Another excellent season in Cordova earned him a move to champions Ciudad.
DLC: 19. Luis Parra (28) - Scott City FC (Darmen)
Primarily a left back but has the attributes to fairly effortless drop into the centre, versatility much admired by Erassi.
DR: 21: Gonzalo Soriano (22) - El Nacional
Pacy rightback with a devil of a cross on him. Has a good understanding with club mate Gonzàlez.

DMC: 4. Lucas Càceres (34) - El Nacional
It's lovely to see a good old fashioned midfield hatchet man committing common assault on a football pitch. If at least one opposition player doesn't leave the pitch on a stretcher we'll be sorely disappointed. Another of the veteran brigade.
AMR: 7. Andrés Guerrón (29) - Chastings Heights (Civil Citizenry)
Wing wizard with pace that wouldn't look out of place at the Olympics. The onus will be on him to push forward to support the big men up front. Fresh from a productive domestic season.
MC: 8. Luís Ángel Landín (31) - Alianza Jucaro
Consistently one of the SuperLiga's most, well, consistent performers. Offers a neat and tidy range of passing and the ability to dictate the Corsairs' tempo.
AML: 11. Alejandro Echeverría (27) - Ciudad Soluca
This boy's a bit special and we're not talking in the crash helmet and crayons sense. Stick him anywhere in the attacking third and he can make something happen.
AMRC: 15. Matías Montiel (27) - Vincanto (Erathore)
Ridiculously talented playmaker who hits a dream of a freekick and could conceivably thread a ball through the eye of a needle. He's just a little lightweight for Erassi's preferred blend of powerplay.
MRC: 16. Hugo Messina (31) - Alianza Jucaro
A consistent domestic performer with a neat array of passing and a passion for flamenco dancing. We're not sure how that helps.
MLC: 18. Marcelo Alonso (30) - Deportivo Soluca
Another experienced midfield campaigner. Renowned at home for having a 100% success rate from the penalty spot.
DMC: 22. Ignacio Caballero (25) - Ciudad Soluca
A midfielder destroyer who fought off a tonne of attacking talent to take last season's SuperLiga player of the year award.
AMLC: 24. Sebastian Leto (28) - Sporting San Marquez
Scorer of last year's SuperLiga goal of the season, a 40 yard thunderbolt against Juventudé. Tricksy winger who provides left sided backup for Echeverría.

SC: 9. Celso Esquivel (32) - Charzzan (Erathore)
Penalty area predator with an international goals to games ratio that would look good on anyone's record. Age means Celso's no longer an automatic choice but he's a handy option from the bench.
FC: 10. Alejandro Martinuccio (27) - Sporting Iturributa ( Iturributa)
Erassi likes his big strikers and Martinuccio, at 6'4", fits the bill. A goal happy qualification campaign at the last tournament saw him snapped up by one of Astograth's biggest clubs. Which is now one of Iturributa's biggest clubs. Confused? So's he.
FC: 17. Héctor Riera (33) - Dunas Del Sol
Burly forward whose career is just starting to wind down. Little playing time at Ciudad Soluca has seen the forward head to the sunny climes of Dunas.
FLC: 20. Carlos Montero (22) - Dínamo Maturín
The youth coaches at the Ciudad Deportiva are no strangers to unearthing gems and Carlos is the latest to excel for the Dínamo first team.
FRC: 23. Lucas Andrada (27) - Kiiarana (Vilita)
A talented lad plucked from SuperLiga midtable obscurity by sharp eyed V-League scouts. Back at Kiiarana after a season on the books of Yeaddin Owls, one the oldest names in world football.

Style
Erassi has favoured an attacking 4-1-3-2 system. Probable starting eleven (Listed L to R)
Leiva -- Mansilla - Gonzàlez - Trejo - Siqueira -- Caballero -- Echeverría - Landín - Guerrón -- Martinuccio - Andrada

The Olympian Center is a state-of-the-art, top notch facility. It has been used for one world cup cycle, and hosts many domestic clubs. It contains a banked cycling track, athletics track, and a multi-purpose field. Inside the stands, fans experience the luxury of air conditioned bleachers, and personal drink holders...basic, yet rare commodities of stadiums.

A Brief History:
After debuting in a series of regional friendlies, Chetkosk began their international football career with a spirited but flawed appearance at the 43rd Baptism of Fire. Following this partial success the exact same squad went on to shock pundits worldwide as Chetkosk performed above and far beyond what was expected of them in the qualifying campaign of the 56th World Cup. The Puffins are one of only a handful of nations to have ever qualified for the World Cup finals on their first attempt, and to have qualified for every World Cup finals since then, a fact that the now world-weathered veterans of Chetkosk are very proud of.

World Cup 57 saw further success when the Puffins not only qualified for the finals, but also earned some points and narrowly avoided moving forward into the round of 16, however the warm glow this extended success generated soon faded when Chetkosk failed to advance any further in the following World Cup. Last time round, the Puffins bucked the trend and entered the round of 16, laying the foundations for a storm of excellent football in the sixtieth World Cup while saving the skin of manager Byshovetsiy in the process. They are renewed, they have tasted a greater level of glory, and they're back for more.

Main Staff:
Manager: BYSHOVETSIY, Yevgeni - Aged 57
Yevgeni Abram Byshovetsiy took the role of managing Chetkosk's national team after being forced to leave the domestic club CSKA Tomska. Most of his critics were silenced by his performance during Chetkosk's Baptism of Fire campaign, but it wasn't until a stunning qualifying effort lead to the Puffins reaching the finals of the 56th World Cup that he well and truly demonstrated his ability to successfully manage the national squad. Yevgeni is a sly tactician, has a loud and powerful character and is fully prepared to think outside the box to form new strategies.

Assistant: GRUSCHMAN, Pyotr - Aged 36
Pyotr Gruschman has an extra-ordinary talent for administration - he takes care of red tape and paperwork so Byshovetsiy doesn't have to (nor does he ever want to). Although he is far less extravertive compared to his superior, he always makes sure he is heard on the rare occasions that he does speak before the team, and his words carry many years of combined knowledge and wisdom in the sport.

Head Coach: TOLSCHTIYK, Vladim - Aged 46
Vladim Tolschtiyk is a retired player who spent the last six years of his career with CFR Dynamo Vilychek. He regularly works as a guest lecturer in Sports and Physiological Science at many Chetkoski universities and he demands a high level of knowledge and ability in his coaching staff. Vladim is adept at noticing psychological and physiological problems in the players well ahead of time - his reports of squad fitness, form and morale are rarely anything but accurate. Recently his team has been bolstered by Igor Mostovoi, the now retired star of Chetkosk's defence.

Squad:
GK: SCHERBAK, Anatoli - #1 - aged 25 - Atlético Central (Cafundéu)
93 caps
Scherbak won himself a place on the starting lineup through some excellent performances in the Baptism of Fire, and has taken on the number one goalkeeping role from Vasili Opuytsk following his recent retirement. His ability to dive in peculiar directions in a split second make him an ideal international goalkeeper, and following World Cup 56 he secured a transfer to Cafundéu. He is a rising star, but is prone to small, recurring injuries that remove him from action for a game at a time.

LB: KASAEV, Diniyar - #2 - aged 33 - Grêmio Lux (Cafundéu)
89 caps, 2 goals
Kasaev used to be starting left back for CSKA Tsaritin Saints, a club that regularly enjoys a top five finish in the Chetkoski domestic league. He was also transferred to Cafundéu after World Cup 56, and the Saints' left defence has looked weaker ever since. He is a solid player and his foul tally is one of the lowest in the squad, but he is notorious for his inability to cure his pungent foot smell post game.

CB: ONOPKO, Aleksandr - #3 - aged 30 - FKM (Kagdazka & Pazhujebu)
85 caps, 2 goals
Aleksandr made his mark on the squad with his great height, towering over the other players and dominating the penalty box. His long stride ensured he can get back to defend against all but the fastest of breaks, though he does have a tendency to play people on-side. Onopko spent a long time in domestic clubs before being recognised by foreign scouts, and has enjoyed playing in Kagdazka and Pazhujebu

RB: MAKHSENEV, Viktor - #5 - aged 26 - CSKA Tomska
63 caps
Makhsenev is a young player who has great pace and speed along the wing. He is also blessed with an ability to avoid injury, and has never missed an international game due to injury during his time on the squad. His recent promotion to the starting 11 has come due to the retirement of Anton Smertin, a legendary Chetkoski player who has left a tough legacy to follow for those who take his place.

LM: TSARAPKIN, Iosif - #6 - aged 27 - Echegoyan FC (Astograth)
50 caps, 5 goals
Tsarapkin adds a utility element to the midfield, and is also seen as Borodiuk's apprentice. His talent for dead balls has allowed him to take on the role that his mentor used to fill, and he will certainly feel the pressure of the nation's eyes upon him when it comes to going for goal as the Puffins 1st choice set piece taker.

CM: VORONIN, Marko - #7 - aged 33 - Chitlanqaxl (Alta Moqoexa)
63 caps, 13 goals
Voronin is an accomplished sportsman, playing for the largest club in Alta Moqoexa, and inspired his younger brother to follow him into the professional sporting world - though his brother is a rugby man. Marko has been plagued with groin injuries in the past, and it was questionable whether or not he would play for much longer, but his current form looks hopeful.

CM: OBSTANTOV, Georgi - #8 - aged 31 - CSKA Tsaritin Saints
75 caps, 6 goals
This centre midfielder takes a long time to break form - whether it's good form or bad. As such he is a steady and reliable presence in the midfield and can often act as a lynchpin for the Chetkosk team to really around. For the time being, he has taken on the captain's armband from Heimpfel, who has also retired.

RM: SIMIERTINO, Alexey - #9 - aged 31 - Primorsky Cape FC
81 caps, 10 goals
Alexey was originally a relatively unknown member of the starting lineup until his domestic team won the previous season's playoff and were promoted to the premier league. He has enjoyed a step up in his media coverage since then, and has not yet tired of the invasion into his private life. A constant source of stick for his teammates is the large number of modelling contracts that Alexey completes on the side of his sporting duties.

AM: KURZHAKOV, Roman - #10 - aged 28 - TSG Krasnonar
78 caps, 27 goals
Roman has taken the place of Chetkoski legend Nico Tussak in attacking midfield, and has thus far made a superb job of filling his boots. He is not afraid to run the entire pitch several times over if he has to, and can cause a hinderance to the opposing team by being in places they don't expect him to be. Through his energetic efforts each game Roman has become an attractive target for foreign transfer.

ST: ANYUKOV, Joachim - #11 - aged 29 - Racing Club Liyakovski
51 caps, 12 goals
Anyukov is a tall and built individual whose strength in his foot more than makes up for his slow running speed. He also has no problems playing the entire game and putting all of his effort into each touch of the ball. Torbinskiy's recent retirement left a gap in the attack, allowing Anyukov to get a lot more time off the bench and on the pitch.

CF: PUZIN, Tomislav - #22 - aged 27 - Quite sure I sent this player abroad somewhere, but I can't remember where
58 caps, 35 goals
Puzin is a solid striking talent that found his way into high level football with the AZS Kemenovsk Rangers' highly successful grass roots programme. His recent move to premier league club Oransberg St. Thunder has thrust him into the limelight and he is now considered a strong starting forward.

Default 3-5-2 Formation:

Reserve:
GK: DOLGONOSOV, Nikolev - #20 - aged 27 - FC Kedesk Harbour
7 caps
Dolgonosov performs well when facing penalties due to his ability to keep and calm and cool head.

GK: GABULOV, Denis - #23 - aged 32 - Zenit Berlinengrad
2 caps
Gabulov remains the third choice goalkeeper despite his experience over the younger Scherbak.

CB: ZENIZEV, Klement - #4 - aged 24 - Red Star Kemenovsk FC
13 caps
Zenizev is a product of the Red Star Kemenovsk FC grass roots programme. He rarely gets to play for his club, but he has succeeded in performing well in trials for the national squad.

CB: BESCHASTYN, Vladimir - #16 - aged 30 - Torpedo Yaroslavl
55 caps, 1 goal
Beschastyn is seen in many ways as Mostovoi's apprentice. He admires the older player and aspires to be as vital to the team as Igor is now.

LB: BYKO, Arkady - #12 - aged 23 - Txatalactan (Alta Moqoexa)
29 caps
Byko is a new young talent who already has experience playing abroad. His tackles are hard, but usually accurate.

RB: KANATOVA, Boris - #18 - aged 22 - CSKA Tsaritin Saints
7 caps
Kanatova is a new name from the Tsaritin Saint defence, and is rather unique in that he is the only member of the squad who suffers from Obsessive Compulsive Syndrome. Naturally, the rest of the squad take every opportunity to mess up his carefully arranged possessions.

CM: ZOLKIN, Stanislav - #21 - aged 25 - CSKA Smolensk
6 caps
Zolkin is a short individual, but very quick on his feet, who finds his low centre of gravity useful when taller opposing players attempt to push him around the pitch, as they usually do.

CM: GROMYKO, Yefin - #13 - aged 21 - AIK Vilnosnyvetzsny Ice
11 caps
Yefin Gromyko is a distant relation of nor retired captain Sebastien Heimpfel, and thus found his inspiration a little closer to home than most. He now hopes to attain his first international caps.

LM: SILVIRIDOV, Immanuil - #19 - aged 22 - Zenit Berlinengrad
5 caps
Immanuil is a lightning fast wing player who always plays aggressively. He prides himself on the quality of his crosses and keeps his head up to retain a sense of what is going on around him.

CM: KONDRATENKO, Lev - #15 - aged 26 - AIK Vilnosnyvetzsny Ice
23 caps, 2 goals
Kondratenko is a relatively new addition to the squad, bringing a strong tactical mind that is very useful in his position as a defensive midfielder.

ST: CHASTAKORLENKA, Oleg - #17 - aged 25 - CFR Dynamo Vilychek
6 caps
Oleg Chastakorlenka is an orphan from the city of Vilychek. It is there that he found his lucky break in the inner city sports regimes and he was snapped up to the youth teams for CFR Dynamo Vilychek. He has suffered with a serious calf injury for several years and has now only just returned to the professional football sphere.

RF: BELOI, Semyon - #14 - aged 19 - Viking Kzerstavo
8 caps, 1 goal
Beloi has dual nationality, his father being of Malaysian origin (OOC note: this nationality is open for replacement with any "eastern" themed nation rather than a real one), but chooses to live and play in Chetkosk. He plays for Viking Kzerstavo in the cold northern province of Kedrovyna.

There is also a third kit, which is mostly gold, if neither of these is suitable.

Firstly, the NSWiki page is not complete, but still worth a look...

It's important to note that the team itself generally doesn't consciously defend. They press high up the pitch though and try to win the ball back as quickly as possible.

They will slow down when ahead later in the game, but only so they don't unnecessarily provide opportunities to lose possession and/or concede. This doesn't mean they wont take the opportunity to score if it presents itself, though...

Set piece preferences (in order):
Corner kick takers: Ibrahim, Kouli, A. di Corradi, whichever wingers are on the pitch
Penalty takers: A. di Corradi, Roberts, Ibrahim, Lewis, Gonzalez, Kinsella
Free kick takers: Ibrahim, A. di Corradi, Pepito
Long free kicks: Kinsella, Kouli, Zavaglia

You don't have to stick to that, though. It just fits in better with the way I intend to RP my team (when I can).

My RP Permissions are pretty chill to be honest.
Pretty much anything goes, I only ask that you let me decide the severity of any injuries you decide to RP for me, please.
Send my players off if you must -- if its a player I really didn't wanna lose for the next game, I'll RP an appeal or something.
Oh and at the risk of sounding a bit "RAWR" ... do not kill any of my players or coaching staff (unless I say go ahead via TG).
Killing fans is okay though. Go nuts with that if you like.

Most likely to...
Score a goal: Romario Roberts
Win a free kick: Alessandro di Corradi
Take (and score) that free kick: Hamzah Ibrahim
Win a penalty: Maria di Corradi
Take (and score) that penalty: Alessandro di Corradi
Miss a penalty: Brett Hendricks
Score a header off a set piece: Conor Kinsella
Score an own goal: Conor Kinsella
Hack an opponent down: Amanda Jenkins or Conor Kinsella
Lose their head and get sent off: Reinaldo Gonzalez
Commit a professional foul: Brent Steele
Argue with the referee: Reinaldo Gonzalez
"Disappear" during a match: Hamzah Ibrahim
"Put in a shift": Amanda Jenkins or Habib Kouli
Have an elaborate goal celebration planned out: Reinaldo Gonzalez
Get caught stumbling out of a nightclub: Reinaldo Gonzalez
Do charity work: Serenity Lewis or Maria di Corradi
Illicit marriage proposals from fans: Amanda Jenkins or Alessandro di Corradi

Something that is important to know is that football isnt the number on sport in Osarius. Its second, to GraviBall.
Footballers are loved if they make tough tackles -- case in point, Serenity Lewis; and before her, Georgina Carsley -- because the combative nature of the game is what the fans like. Very passionate, are Osarian fans, you see.
Sooo... basically, if you're not scoring goals or making crunching tackles, the fans aren't impressed. That goes for opponents too... Osarian fans always appreciate a good tackle, so they will even applaud opposition players at times (although they will boo their goals, obvs).

From time to time I'll make reference to the area a player is from, and when I do, I will try to add an OOC note to explain what it means, because different regions of Osarius have almost entirely different cultures. For example, Tubrissian people's habits and sayings are heavily based on Phoenician/Carthaginian culture and religious beliefs.

Manager: Alain Montblanc
After becoming the first Osarian manager to lead the national team to a World Cup finals tournament, Montblanc effectively secured the job for at least another two cycles. Rumours are abound that he will look to step down after World Cup 60, however, sick of the politics within the OFA. His tactical nous and role-based coaching philosophy have instilled a new "Osarian way" when it comes to football. Rather than balls-out offense -- which the fans loved, to be fair -- he has the team playing a far more cautious, controlled game. The team still plays too directly for the more technically refined eye, but there is much more emphasis on all players being able to pass the ball well. Montblanc's cerebral nature, and comparative lack of charisma in press conferences have won him far fewer admirers among the public than his predecessor, but he cares not for such matters. As he told OSN recently, "Excellence is my only goal, I care not for popularity and platitudes."

Assistant Managers: Rodrigo Hernandez
After mentoring Alain Montblanc for years while the younger man was still "learning his trade" at the national football academy, Hernandez must be immensely proud to see his "number one student" come good. Being one of the few people Montblanc appears to trust implicitly makes Hernandez the obvious choice for his number two, though the former Under-19s boss is an excellent coach in his own right. The role is well-suited to the aging Hearthlands man, who gets to avoid much of the pressure and stress of national team involvement, while still having considerable -- and often extremely valuable -- input.

Coaches: Maurice Simmons, Jeffrey Allen, Gerald Cole
Simmons, Allen and Cole are all highly-regarded coaches within Osarian football, who attained their Professional Coaching licenses at the same time as Montblanc. They all offer traits often cited as being required in elite coaches, which Montblanc arguably doesn't. Between them, they help the gaffer make up for his -- no doubt self-recognised -- shortcomings, and enjoy a strong rapport with the players.

Specialist Coaches: Onyibo Oduoza (goalkeeping), Claudio Traga (fitness)
Oduoza once trained under the now-legendary Enzo Corradini at Hollybrent, and is credited with turning Orlando Florian into the legendary keeper he became. A cerebral man, Oduoza sometimes employs strange methods to bring out the best in his charges, and to develop vital skills. Few can argue with his results, however. Traga, on the other hand, is perhaps best known among sports fans back home for his past career as a Boxer. Upon retirement, Traga's love of sport led him to study sports science at Utica University, where he learnt to combine his boxing experience with science know-how to develop fitness regimes for professional sportsmen (and women). His system, The Lightstrike Method, is used in most professional sports clubs in Osarius as a major part of training, particularly during the off-season.

Medical Staff: Daniel Chambers (physiotherapist), Dr. Sarah Bocchetti (team doctor)
Chambers and Bocchetti are also old friends of the former manager, Benedict di Corradi, but their stock within the OFA is high. Both have excellent reputations among the players, too, making them invaluable members of the backroom staff.

The Players

There is a "pool" of forty players from which Montblanc will select 90% of the time. This "pool" will be trimmed to a twenty-three player squad if Osarius qualifies for the World Cup finals.
The players are listed below by position, and then by squad number. The bold players are most likely starters, while the squad numbers denote preference thereafter. (e.g. Habib Kouli starts at right back most times, with Rios second choice and Carter third choice).

Usual Starting Lineup
[ 4-2-3-1 ]

Roberts
Hendricks -- A. di Corradi -- Ibrahim
Gonzalez ---- Lewis (c)
Jenkins -- Steele -- Kinsella -- Kouli
Corradini

Roberts is capable of playing as a target-man, or on the shoulder of the last defender. Typically he prefers to try and beat the offside trap and latch onto through balls into the channels with his enviable pace, while stretching the gap between midfield and defence as much as possible. When playing alongside Maria di Corradi, he will tend to drop deeper to win flick-ons and such, while she presses forward for goals.

Ibrahim and Hendricks often switch flanks, giving the Firebirds two inverted wingers, leaving a lot of space on the flanks for their advancing fullbacks. Rarely will both wingers tuck in at once, though, with the other staying wide or pushing up to support the point forward.
Both Pepito and Alessandro di Corradi like to play "between the lines", relying on the movement of those ahead, and the passing of those behind. Essentially operating in a free-role, they have a knack for popping up in the most dangerous position. The main difference between the two is that di Corradi is more likely to get forward quickly into space, while Pepito tends to dribble forward or arrive late for long range efforts.
Gonzalez will often be playing the deep-lying playmaker (regista) role, or the defensive "holding" role, while Lewis will be more likely to play a dynamic "box-to-box" role. Lewis can and will, on occasion, drop deep to allow Gonzalez to more directly influence play, however. Their time as teammates in Firewood's reserves have granted them an almost telepathic understanding to that end.
Habib Kouli loves to get forward, while Jenkins is more defensive by nature. Kouli's overlapping often causes problems for defences, but does sometimes leave the Firebirds vulnerable to counter-attacks down the right flanks. At these times, Lewis is most likely to fill in, unless N'Daw or Nash is on the field.
Both Kinsella and Steele are pretty confident on the ball, and like to play the ball out of defence. However, Steele tends to push up from the back line more often to aggressively win the ball, while Kinsella is tasked with "sweeping up".

The squad itself changes often during qualifying, as Montblanc likes to try and give younger players more appearances to aid their development -- he was the national under 21s coach, after all -- alongside more experienced players. He doesn't like to change his back four too much though, except in cases where one fullback might change specifically to counter an opposing threat, for example. He certainly doesn't like to mix up the central defensive pairings very often at all though... For example, Steele tends to play alongside Kinsella, so it's unlikely Montblanc would play him alongside Vidal or Walker -- who, incidentally make up another of his established centre-back partnerships. More likely, if Kinsella is unavailable, Steele would be benched, and another defensive partnership (and potentially whole new back four) would step in.

Montblanc also emphasises versatility from his players, meaning almost every player must be accomplished at playing another role in the team if required. Secondary positions can be guessed or assumed if you like. I don't mind.

The Astograth National Football Team

Style: +3

Wiki Page

Manager - Image Powell Pieran
Astograth's 54 year-old Citiz manager has been in charge of Olibondeka for a good eight years now, guiding the team to the greatest nights of their history - two World Cup qualifications and a Cup of Harmony win in between. He's had ups and downs, but it can't be said he hasn't earned his place in the history of Astograthian football. All things must come to an end, however, and the FAF has determined that unless Pieran improves upon last cycle's group stage exit his contract will not be renewed and a new manager with fresh ideas will be brought in to manage the 21st best national team in the world.

Starting XI:
(Ages accurate as of Champions' Cup 40 final)

#1 - GK - Cheru Larretape - Age 31 - Royal Rumiatzi – 38 caps, 56 goals against, 12 clean sheets
At last, Larretape is free of Zernin Aira and can take the number one shirt for himself. Not very tall at all, but his lightning-quick reflexes, agility and leadership set him apart from most keepers. Long-time captain of top domestic club Royal Rumiatzi, he has paid his dues and then some to finally launch a consistent international career.

#5 - LCB - Urtzi Galard - Age 28 - Royal Rumiatzi – 59 caps, 1 goal
An international veteran with three Di Bradini Cups and active member of the senior team since the World Cup 57 qualifiers, his quick, offensive runs down the wing are a constant threat. Tireless for the full ninety and an expert crosser, he can seamlessly swap positions with the left winger, and can indeed be used in that position if required. Usually employed as a left-back at club level, but has always been kept in the centre by Pieran to allow for more mobility and build-up play at the back.

#16 - CB - Ubelteso Adin - Age 32 – Image Raynor City United - 100 caps, 4 goals
A rock in the defence of one of the best clubs in the world, Adin is a smart player renowned for his smart challenges, his skill at covering empty space and his passing ability. Considered the successor of Milian Erburu, Astograth's now internationally retired star centre-back, but has arguably accomplished much more for both club and country. Turned down the option of playing for Iturributa, owing his allegiance to the national side and former team Royal Rumiatzi, which has earned him the love of the fans.

#3 - RCB – Abdoulaye Bocandé - Age 25 – Echegoyan FC – 27 caps, 1 goal
Although fully Zenegalese, Bocandé has been naturalised by Astograth after his standout performances in the First Division, originally joining from the Tamarindo league. A crucial part of Echegoyan FC's rise to the top and eventual championship run, he is a blood-and-guts defender with no fear of crunching tackles or studs to the face. His drive to excel sets him apart, and despite playing for his adopted nation still enjoys humongous popularity in his homeland of Zenega.

#15 - DM – Ikatz Alberro - Age 24 - Ituraitz FC – Uncapped
Pieran's made a gamble by calling up the new Astograthian champions' young central midfielder, and considering regular starter Inguma Sapano is none too happy the pressure is all on Alberro. He's shined at club and youth national team level due to his extraordinay talent for finding space in thick midfields, but always with top partners to rely on; on his own he might yet struggle. That Pieran has this much faith in him at least speaks of the man's quality, one of only two new faces brought in between the Brevity Challenge Cup 2 and the qualifiers - to the detriment of Tamarindian-born Galeano, in his case.

#11 - LM - Urgutz Belarte (C) - Age 31 - Image Atlético Jutense – 146 caps, 20 goals
Coming in from the demanding Primeirona, Belarte brings to the table his repertoire of tricks and dribbles, which combine with his precise crosses to make him a very dangerous man down the left wing. Very rarely cuts into the box, but when he does his carefully placed shots are a challenge for even the best keepers. The second most-capped of all time for Astograth, he is one of Olibondeka's beloved icons; he's been handed the captain's blue armband after the international retirement of Dei Ormache due to his veterancy and light-hearted manner in contrast with Sarlange's hot-headedness or Adin's morosity.

#10 - RM - Itzeder Unzueta - Age 31 - Image FKM – 108 caps, 18 goals
Unzueta combines deadly crossing with great shooting skill to turn him into a valuable asset both in and around the box. Tremendously talented, he tends to be selfish with the ball, and his attitude often gets him in trouble with teammates and manager alike. Personally, Pieran doesn't care for him very much, but Unzueta's top-notch performances leaves him no choice but to send him out. Moreso when he is a key part of FKM, Champions' Cup winners and KPFA League champions for four seasons in a row.

#8 - AM - Otz Lasuen - Age 29 - Image Iturributa United – 66 caps, 10 goals
Lasuen is a classic number 10, though he wears Olibondeka's revered number 8, once worn by long-time captain Estebe Bularte. He doesn't go for the dribble or the sprint, he receives the ball and deals in assists. Rarely will he take a shot, though a very strong right boot ensures that when he does it'll be a challenge for the keeper.

#21 - LCF - Ikatz Ansotegi - Age 28 - Ituraitz FC - 47 caps, 16 goals
Known for scoring absurd amounts of goals in the Astograthian league thanks to his sheer speed, height and brute force. Built like a rugby forward and nicknamed 'The Locomotive' because he barges through the defense till he scores. Put five past Melbergia in a World Cup 58 qualifier, making him the first and only man to do so for Olibondeka, and can be relied upon to very literally stomp all over the defense.

#18 - CF - Hurko Atristain - Age 27 - Image Red Star Severny – 26 caps, 15 goals
Consistent scoring earned him a transfer to Red Star Severny from Urbizania Wanderers, then a call-up to Copa Rushmori VIII and the Brevity Challenge Cup, then the World Cup qualifiers and the finals themselves. Has responded everywhere he's played and racked up a crazy goal ratio for someone generally brought off the bench; is it too early to call him Dei Ormache's successor, perhaps?.

#9 - RCF - Soter Sarlange - Age 32 - Image CR Submiria – 154 caps, 75 goals
Sarlange is a rude, egocentric striker who relies on his speed and height to score with unusual frequency. Most capped and top scorer of the national team by a mile; he knows the ins and outs of a forward's job and the numbers say he can practically score at will. One of the best of the best, in the highly competitive Primeirona, Sarlange is lethal and he knows it.

Substitutes:

#13 - GK - Aztore Irungarai - Age 30 - Image Ousevale Borough – 15 caps, 17 goals against, 5 clean sheets
Reached the semifinals of the Champions' Cup with Sporting Iturributa before packing his bags for Krytenian giants Ousevale Borough. Has a high chance of rotating with Larretape due to fluctuating form.

#23 - GK – Urgutz Martinena - Age 28 - Image Juvillian Martinax – 1 cap, 2 goals against
Known as one of the best keepers in Erathore, Martinena hasn't had much of a chance with the national team. Made plenty of headlines back home after becoming the third Astograthian to win the Seria-A, but being third-choice makes it unlikely he'll get any playing time in the near future.

#4 - LCB – Yokin Arizmande - Age 20 – Image Niccostrato – 5 caps
A product of the Royal Vosaroni Antenelli youth academy, Arizmande moved to Erathore at an early age and has been first-team for several years in keeping with the Erathi custom of teenaged players. Twenty, capped at the Campeonatos Rushmori de la Juventud, winner of two Serias-A and a Schelia della Comunita; this defender's future may well outlast and outshine Powell Pieran.

#2 - CB - Dion Jantot - Age 29 - Royal Rumiatzi – 23 caps, 1 goal
Previously capped by his native country of Southern Cynocephali, Dion Jantot has been naturalised by Astograth and accepted the national team's call-up in light of the Cynoceph retirement from international football. A tall defender with plenty of talent, an excellent workrate and a solid club career; all-around a top-notch player still working his way up in Pieran's opinion.

#19 - RCB - Benat Uranga - Age 30 - Image Raktaghav Hathi – 54 caps, 2 goals
Normally a fast, technically gifted right-back whose crosses and slide tackles are accurate and deadly, Uranga is being played out of position by Pieran in what is a risky but interesting gamble. A very mobile defender could be a good replacement or complement to Bocandé, but his defensive skills are not quite up to snuff. He led Raktaghav Hathi of Kagdazka and Pazhujebu to a domestic cup win, the first title of their history, which shows that even though his rosy days at Ituraitz Victory are long gone he's still got it.

#6 - DM – Inguma Sapano - Age 31 - Image Yastrabi – 66 caps, 3 goals
Zorion Legeren and Agoztar Gorstiaga, the two supremely talented defensive midfielders who rotated for Olibondeka for the past two World Cups, have pledged to play for Iturributa, leaving Pieran to draw their replacements from a pool of ageing, unskilled and uncapped players. The solution was to convince Inguma Sapano, also Iturributan by birth, to return to the team that hadn't called him up since the seventh edition of the Copa Rushmori, where he had the honour of being captain. Sapano himself has swapped shirts several times in the KPFA League since arriving to play for Šede Island Shadows; a mobile man good at covering spaces and opening up the field. Problem is, Sapano didn't meet expectations and was shuffled around with Galeano; now Ikatz Alberro has been called up and he is sent to the bench, fuming.

#17 - LM – Lekubegi Guerrikaechebarria - Age 23 – Astograth University – Uncapped
His last-minute inclusion has made the kit man furious, but Guerrikaechebarria has earned it. Fast and lively, a credible threat down the left wing and newly arisen Astograth University's most versatile man. His eagerness can sometimes be a bit excessive, not thinking things through and dipping in form when setbacks arise, but a future replacement for Urgutz Belarte he most definitely is.

#14 - RM – Lukar Mendikoa - Age 30 - Image Emberton Reds – 40 caps, 2 goals
Part of Ituraitz FC during their most successful period, Mendikoa is an incredible sprinter. He can run the full length of the pitch at top speed, with or without the ball, and leave defenders in the dust, but the cross isn't always as accurate as he'd like. He can also hit the ball surprisingly hard for a man his size, which turns him into a credible goal threat.

#12 - AM - Aintza Lekea - Age 25 - Image Juvillian Martinax – 28 caps, 4 goals
Signed at a remarkably young age by the renowned FC Mildrid of Erathore and then transferred to the equally massive Juvillian Martinax, where he has quickly become one of the top-rated players in the Seria-A. Selfish with the ball and a bit of a diver, but his tricks and free kicks are brilliant. Suits Pieran just fine. Competent at taking up the mantle of national team playmaker, though his attitude is strongly rejected by the Astograthian fans.

#20 - LCF – Tipi Nanklares - Age 29 – Image Ajax Khaldoon II – 49 caps, 14 goals
Obnoxious. Above all, Tipi Nanklares is obnoxious. He's taken a liking to riling up the opposing fans and players on the back of his great scoring ability, which has earned him a good few needless red cards. Not overly tall, but jumps surprisingly high and posseses quick enough feet to try to go past the keeper at every chance.

#22 - CF - Formerio Iturralde - Age 25 - Image Casuals Osteria – 15 caps
Dismissed by Iturributa United for his attitude and promptly snapped up by top Krytenian club Casuals Osteria, Iturralde is a self-centered goal machine not unlike a younger Soter Sarlange or the eternal Polarian forward Timo Skye. Missed call-ups after not impressing at the Copa Rushmori and Brevity Challenge Cup then ditched the option of playing for Iturributa when he noticed Astograth would probably get him more exposure. Back with a vengeance to Olibondeka and obsessed with getting his first, which has proven very elusive.

#7 - RCF – Iker Malik - Age 24 - Image Sporting Iturributa – 18 caps, 4 goals
The Erathi-born Malik has returned to play for his motherland and has all the characteristics you'd expect from someone bred in the play-style of Erathore: possession, dribbling, possession, speed, possession, lack of height, possession, agility, possession and trying to walk the ball into the net. Not a bad striker by any stretch of the imagination, though, having formed very successful partnerships with all kinds of forwards at Sporting Iturributa.

Captain: Urgutz Belarte
Free Kick Taker: Otz Lasuen
Penalty Taker: Soter Sarlange
Right Corner: Urgutz Belarte
Left Corner: Otz Lasuen

All of Astograth's home matches will be played at the 90,000-seater Grand Duke's Stadium in the capital city of Rumiatzi. National team games, the domestic cup final and a few extraordinary events are the only football matches ever hosted at Grand Duke's, so expect the atmosphere to be intense on and off the pitch.

YES to all RP permissions, barring any career-ending incidents. Should you have any questions about anything, please do TG me.

The NMS Ministry of Morale is pleased to announce:

Montréalais love!
New Montréal knows how to party!
New Montréal knows how to party!
In the citaaay of N.M.
In the citaaay of Valdemont
In the citaaay, the city of Angiers
We keep it rockin! We keep it rockin!

All ages are for opening day of WC60 or the Cup of Harmony
Formation: 2-6-2
Style: Taschereau's version of the 2-6-2 plays as a +2
Coaches: Jacques-Modeste Taschereau, age 63, head coach; Ernie McGonagall, age 48, strikers; Norman Lajoie, age 52, midfield; Paul-Simon Smithson, age 48, defensive backs; Étienne Lajeunesse, age 50, keepers

Home matches will be played in the historic PALADIN DOME, host of the CoH 16 and WC28 finals. The Dome has undergone some minor renovations since WC59, and now hosts 120,255 bloody-minded, blue-and-silver wearing Paladins fans.

KEEPERS

1 Édgar Thibault, age 33, FC Sandside, Civil Citizenry
4 Ernie Busey, age 26, NM Patriotes
89 Bobby Laviolette, age 21, Dorion Poules

Will Édgar Thibault ever retire? At 33, the man shows no signs of slowing down in net, and was last heard vowing that he'd step down in time to watch his daughter's high school graduation. His daughter, incidentally, is 4 years old. Ernie Busey is probably the best keeper still playing in the NMS, but he will be watching and waiting from the sidelines. Bobby Laviolette, meanwhile, is chock-full of potential, but probably won't see the pitch at any point during qualifiers.

DEFENSE

76 William St. John de la Ware, CB, age 30, Sorel Black Dragons, 2 goals
24 Hubert Séguin-Holmes, age 25, NM Patriotes
3 Georges-Marcel Potvin, age 24, City of New Montreal, 0 goals
18 Rick Andrews, age 19, Pride of Wolfe Harbour, 0 goals

Although Jeremy Steelman was a more than adequate replacement for Cory Taylor, his career was unfortunately cut short by a concussion. Hubert Séguin-Holmes will have to step in, but dominance in club play has Paladins fans feeling confident in Taylor's replacement - at least as confident they can feel in a player with only 1 international cap. The backups have been selected for their ability to run their opponents into the ground.

MIDFIELD

78 Martin Kennedy, RDMF, age 29, Unité Chateauguay, 2 goals
8 Neil Poussin, RDMF, age 28, NM Patriotes, 0 goals
0 Hank Bay, CMF, age 25, CF Valdemont, 0 goals
29 Donald Taylor, LMF, age 26, CF Sherbrooke, 2 goals
27 Benoit Gallagher, RMF, age 28, Alliance Sportif Ville-Marie, 2 goals
49 Guillaume Ouillemet, AMF, age 32, Philemon Mariners, 18 goals
50 Fred Moseley, CMF/LMF/DMF, age 23, Moncton Sands Coyotes, 1 goals
20 Mike Gladden, CMF/DMF, age 20, Unité Chateauguay, 0 goals
12 André Vaillancourt-Bosquet, AMF/RMF, age 35, St. James Seagulls, 13 goals
40 Pwim Charbonneau, LMF, age 30, City of New Montreal, 5 goals
11 Alphonse Bélanger, CMF/LMF, age 24, St. James Seagulls, 0 goals
54 Fabrice Sévérin, RMF/LMF, age 23, Laval, 0 goals

Not much change from the BCC roster; only Mike Gladden has played his way onto the side to differentiate himself from the BCC roster. Aside from that, this veteran side will use savvy and skill to try and return to the World Cup after the WC59 side played its way through.

STRIKERS

6 Rhéal Ackersley, CF, age 29, CF Valdemont, 20 goals
11 Linus Wiseman, SS, age 24, Unité Chateauguay, 3 goals
12 Andy Lavalle, age 23, Philemon Mariners, 0 goals
5 Julian Baldwin, age 20, Cité Laval, 0 goals

Rhéal Ackersley is officially a world-class striker at this point in his life; meanwhile, Linus Wiseman has earned Loic Bacon's spot on the side through his passing, although his finishing leaves something to be desired. Regardless, striker has always been a question mark for the Paladins, and these qualifiers will be no different.

World Cup 20 Champions

The Vilita Jungle Cats are coached by the duo of Tika Massa, former Strike FC forward, and Kris Wrice, former Marine Coast United forward. Despite the attacking history of the co-managers, they have not been afraid to play defensively showing this prowess throughout the World Cup 58 Qualifications. During World Cup 59, they led the Jungle Cats back to the knockout rounds where they were eventually defeated by eventual champions Aguazul, despite scoring a pair of goals against the Champs.

The Vilitan player pool consists of all players invited by coaches Wrice and Massa to training camp at the Tivali Ring Stadium in Alikki-Corra. Each match will have 18 players named to the squad (11 Starters and 7 Subs). Opponents can use any means of choosing these 18 players, if they should RP first. There is no modifier.

GOALKEEPERS:

[ 85 ] Nycflala Kater [ - Strike FC - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 41 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.70 Average Rating ]
Descended of former National Team goalkeeper Jimmy Kater, who took over the starting position on the National Team under the intense spotlight of the World Cup 17 Finals in Vilita and remained first choice keeper for the majority of Vilitan national competition in subsequent seasons before joining the coaching staff for World Cup 31. Nycflala made his full debut for the Vilita National Team during World Cup 57 where he was named the starter in 14 of Vilitas 16 qualification matches. Kater performed strongly with 6 shutouts and a 5.86 average rating. Many claim that the focus on the World Cup 57 Qualifying campaign distracted Strike players such as Kater from performing well domestically in VLeague 26. Kater ensured there would be no dissapointment in VLeague 27 leading Strike comfortably to both the League and Cup titles, repeating the feat during VLeague 29 and VLeague 30.

[ 92 ] Jungrii Canopii [ - Eastal Lunar - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 11 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 4.83 Average Rating ]
Canopii spent most of World Cup 57 Qualifications on the bench, earning three substitute appearances in official matches, though he was named starter for the mid-qualification charity match against Akbarabad to raise money for big cats, where he made 11 saves. Despite spending most of the campaign as the primary backup, Canopii was not given the opportunity to start when #1 keeper Kater missed two matches, leading doubts as to whether he is looked upon as a serious canadidate for the starting role in the future. After starting at the Inland Academy then signing for Inland Peaks, Canopii left the home-town club when they were relegated from the Stellar Division after Season 26, joining cross-range rivals Eastal Lunar. Despite being relegated to the Declasse, Canopii led Eastal Lunar to the Vilitan Cup title during Season 28. Canopii has remained loyal to Eastal Lunar despite their relegation from the Stellar Division, turning down multiple offers to join bigger clubs in the top flight.

[ 91 ] Aranora Jaded [ - Arcticala Inlet - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 17 CAPS: 6 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.67 Average Rating ]
Jaded was given a great confidence boost by the decision of the coaching staff to sell Jaqe Planst to Cednia Beach AFC. The two young keepers were fighting for the right to be the next Arcticala starting keeper, and Jaded won that job, leading Arcticala to the Tropical Trophy title in Season 27 - on penalty kicks, against his opposite number Planst who was making his first start for Cednia Beach since leaving Arcticala.

[ 90 ] Jaqe Planst [ - Cednia Beach AFC (TUR) - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 17 CAPS: 4 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.25 Average Rating ]
Planst was acquired by Cednia Beach AFC after playing just 1 match in Season 26 for Arcticala Inlet. Planst helped the Turorian side to second place in the VLeague 27 table and a return to UICA Competitions. A poor showing during the AOCL V in which Cednia Beach were eliminated in the group stage likely kept Planst out of any contention for a National Team spot during World Cup 58 Qualifiers, although, as a highly skilled keeper, Planst was still invited to the training camp. Planst has an ongoing rivalry with former Cednia Youth teammate Aranora Jaded who left Cednia Beach to join Planst's former club, Arcticala Inlet, and also achieved great success.

[ 95 ] Jawz Tiiaupila [ - Mliona-Lpaka (Turori) - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 20 CAPS: 2 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 4.00 Average Rating ]
Tiiaupila has made his first appearance for the Vilitan National Team in a shock defeat against Brendino the 3rd during World Cup 57 Qualifications. The 1-3 defeat was pointed at by many critics as the sole reason the Jungle Cats were unable to make a return to the World Cup Finals, dropping a full three points against the groups bottom side and inevitably finishing just one point out of the playoff zone. Tiiaupila moved from Inland Rovers on a loan to newly promoted Hojosan in The Yorozura after WC57 quals as part of an investment deal with the clubs kit sponsors, VIlitan based Vilaye energy drink. When the Yorozura league collapsed, Tiiaupila returned to the Inland joining Inland Peaks FC where he would spend a season before joining Mliona-Lpaka Turori after their promotion to the Stellar Division.

DEFENDERS:

[ 9 ] Ritopa Simafela [ - Strike FC - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 23 CAPS: 49 :: GOALS::SR: 5 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.84 Average Rating ]
Ritopa was a standout product of the Lunar Academy and was named as one of the captains of Vilita's World Cup 57 Qualifying Squad. The son of a Rocket Scientist and a Physicist, Simafela is already well educated and is in no way reliant on a career in sports. However, strong performances during his debut qualifying campaign including a 6.05 average rating and 2 goals spurred transfer inquiries from foreign clubs and comparisons to Vilitan greats like Enzo Ahat and Ricky Ezis. Simafela transferred to Strike FC for VLeague 27 and was an instrumental part of their double success in the League and Cup.

[ 94 ] Miiara Makose [ - Strike FC - ]
------- D C ( AGE: 20 CAPS: 45 :: GOALS::SR: 3 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.71 Average Rating ]
Makose has Druidan blood, though has been diluted through multiple generations. He was trained as a goalkeeper in Turori but did not want to be stuck in the shadows of Nycflala Kater, so switched over to the defensive role when joining the Strike Academy. The transition was clearly justified as Makose was one of the top performing players in World Cup 57 qualifying, carrying a 6.65 average rating while appearing in 14 of Vilita's 16 group matches. Makose was also part of Strike's dominating VLeague 27 performances winning the League and Cup titles with the club and repeated the feat during VLeague 29, doing one better, having scored the game-winning goal in the 86th minute of the Cup Final against the rival Yeaddin Owls. Incredibly, Makose did it again during the Season 30 Cup Final, scoring the opening goal of Strike's 2-0 victory over Colonial Sile.

[ 68 ] Kadi Molali [ - Arcticala Inlet - ]
------- D R ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 47 :: GOALS::SR: 3 U21: REG: ) :: [ 7.00 Average Rating ]
Molali has the ability to make stunning runs up the right side of the field and has put together exciting 'from-nothing' goal scoring opportunities in weekly scrimmage matches. Molali was an exciting prospect for the Turoki Academy who was solid, but not exceptional during World Cup 57 Qualifying, making 13 appearances and scoring 1 goal. After joining multiple clubs, including Strike FC, Molali left the VLeague abrubtly in the middle of VLeague 26. After some time off, Molali returned, signing for Eastal Lunar FC and completing a strong VLeague Season 27.

[ 3 ] Niubo Deneli [ - Kiiarana - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 11 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 7.20 Average Rating ]
Deneli was a solid prospect for the Strike Academy before a decline in his development after the age of 15, a time at which he was considered the best defensive prospect in the country. He ended up signing his first professional contract with local side Lonngeylin Coast, helping them get invited to the Declasse for Season 27, and helping them keep that spot for Season 28. Deneli, however, would leave the club and return to the other side of the street to play for Strike FC in Season 28. After a season and a half with his home club, Deneli found himself on the substitutes bench for the first time, and immediately requested a transfer, which was granted as he moved to Kiiarana.

[ 64 ] Uajiala Pulkki [ - Turoki Tide - ]
------- D C ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 20 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.35 Average Rating ]
Pulkki is a descendent of former Inland Peaks FC defender Pasi Pulkki, and many are saying he could even be better then his ancestors. Pulkki unfortunately lasted barely 22 minutes in his competitive debut against Ipeland in World Cup 57 qualifying, but has put in some more impressive performances since. Like many of his teammates, Pulkki left Inland Peaks after their relegation in VLeague 26, and headed over to Eastal Lunar. Pulkki was a star for Eastal during VLeague 27 earning a transfer to former champions Cednia Beach AFC for VLeague 28. After a season and a half in Cednia Beach, Pulkki moved to the Turoki Tide at the midway point of V-League Season 29.

[ 67 ] Eda Shindhi [ - Turoki Tide - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 8 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.57 Average Rating ]
Shindhi is a player in the mold of former Marine Coast defensive stalwarts Ade Hinds and Sibusiso Azaiez. While Shindhi still has some development to go before realizing his full potential, it is expected that he will continue to get a run out from time to time as his skills progress. Shindhi made his competitive debut in defeat against Brendino the 3rd during World Cup 57 Qualifying but did not impress in that performance. After being trainined at the Coastal Academy, Shindhi signed his first professional contract with Marine Coast United. Shindhi switched to Cednia Beach AFC when Marine Coast were relegated for V-League 27, not enjoying success there, eventually returning to Vilita to play for the Turoki Tide.

[ 66 ] Sipaao Vereaoao [ - Kiiarana - ]
------- D L ( AGE: 20 CAPS: 6 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 8.20 Average Rating ]
A product of the Inland Academy, Vereaoao has played in both Vilita & Turori, but committed his future to the Jungle Cats when featuring for them as a half time substitute against Nitrome Island during World Cup 57 qualifying. Vereaoao left long-time home Inland Peaks after they failed to achieve promotion from the Declasse during VLeague 27. Vereaoao signed for Marine Coast United, who had earned promotion in addition to a place in International Competitions. However, with Marine Coast struggling to keep pace in the Stellar Division, Vereaoao jumped ship to free-spending Kiiarana for V-League Season 29.

[ 63 ] Baiiub Jual-Knakok [ - Marine Coast - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
A product of the Coastal Academy, Jual-Knakok is a left footed defender nicknamed "the Cricket" by his peers. The Cricket has been loyal to the Laiotia Locals in the Non-Leagues ever since signing his first professional contract, though the lack of exposure and experience has dropped him down the National Team depth chart. After multiple seasons in the Non-League with Laiotia Locals, and the Locals once again missing out on an invitation to join the League system, Jual-Knakok finally signed a league contract to play with Marine Coast United for Season 30.

[ 8 ] Ricata Amakra [ - Orbital Kickers - ]
------- D C ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
The product of the Alikka-Corra Academy is a defender being compared locally with former Alikki-Corra FC defender Emarka Laniora. While he doesn't yet share the same ability to charge up either wing with the ball, his solid defensive skills should see him earn some playing time with the National Team. Amakra has been a star performer in the Non-Leagues with the Orbital Kickers.

[ 4 ] Timmson Leabiura [ - Winding Street (CvC) - ]
------- D C ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 4 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.00 Average Rating ]
The development of Timmson Leabiura seems to be hampered by his family's inability to stay put, and he has found himself at 6 different academies in his short sporting career. After training at the Strike Academy off and on, it was hoped by pundits that his development would spark. Leabiura would instead move to Civil Citizenry to play with Winding Street.

[ 4 ] Tyaoino Munviola [ - Mavaloiao - ]
------- D C ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 8 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.44 Average Rating ]
A towering defender with a dependable head, Munviola is not afraid to join the attack on corner kicks, and rarely loses a defensive header. His feet have let him down from time to time, but have been improving. Despite his inconsistencies, Munviola was a surprise package during World Cup 57 qualifying, making 6 appearances and having a strong ratings average. After multiple seasons in the Non-League with Laiotia Locals, Munviola finally signed a league contract to play with Declasse side Mavaloiao for Season 30.

DEFENSIVE MID:

[ 36 ] Retiso Buran [ - Strike FC - ]
------- DM C ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 48 :: GOALS::SR: 6 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.62 Average Rating ]
Retiso Buran was the top prospect at the Sile Academy specializing in the defensive midfield role once made famous by Jürgen Ramzi. Buran is a ferocious player who some has said can be seen with teeth gritted ready to pounce as the attacking side approaches. Appearing almost exclusively during World Cup 57 qualifying, Buran missed only one game and scored 2 goals during the campaign. Burans perofmances both for the National Team and for Makosile earned him a transfer to Strike FC for Season 27, where he earned the Vilitan Stellar Divisions top goalscorer award for the second consecutive season, the first time ever achieved by a midfielder.

[ 39 ] Tujamu Treola [ - Tivali United - ]
------- DM C ( AGE: 19 CAPS: 12 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.82 Average Rating ]
A product of the Strike Academy, Tujamu Treola excels both defensively in the midfield, and with his head both defensively and on corner kicks. Treola made his competitive debut in World Cup 57 qualifying against West Zirconia, but has never signed a professional contract.

[ 38 ] Dronik Ratuva [ - Morata Valley - ]
------- DM RLC ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Dronik Ratuva was an exciting prospect from the Valley Academy, who is also able to move wide to defensively cover the wings when 2 or 3 central defenders are used. Ratuva helped Morata Valley earn promotion to the Stellar Division during VLeague 26.

[ 34 ] Danie Izmao [ - Lonngeylin Coast - ]
------- DM C ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 1 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.00 Average Rating ]
Izmao was a Strike Academy prospect who, while not rated as the highest defensive midfield prospect at the academy, was still expected to get a run out with the National Squad in World Cup 57 Qualifiers. That chance never came, and the Venom weren't interested when it came time to award professional contracts. Izmao went across the road to Lonngeylin Coast and was instrumental in helping them not only get invited to rejoin the Vilitan League System - but for the first time ever, to stay there for at least a second consecutive season. Izmao is still part of the national team player pool, especially should any injuries come in to play

[ 30 ] Ukalai Saluria [ - Jaguar Moreda - ]
------- DM C ( AGE: 20 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Saluria was a product of the Turoki Academy, who has trained with the National Team as an alternate since World Cup 57. Saluria has played for Jaguar Moreda in the Vilitan Non-League system.

MIDFIELDERS:

[ 21 ] Jomur Hulyer [ - Strike FC - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 51 :: GOALS::SR: 10 U21: REG: ) :: [ 7.50 Average Rating ]
A decsendent of the exciting Marine Coast and Yeaddin midfielder Jonjo Hulyer, Jomur has been compared heavily to his ancestors and even carries the same squad number. Unlike Jonjo, however, Jomur was trained at the Yeaddin Academy. Hulyer would soon become the quickest player to ever represent all three of the original Vilitan Dynasties, signing his first professional contract with Marine Coast United before transferring to Strike for VLeague 28.

[ 74 ] Jian Lejsrma [ - Strike FC - ]
------- AM RL ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 20 :: GOALS::SR: 5 U21: REG: ) :: [ 7.48 Average Rating ]
Lejsrma is a speed demon who was trained at the Strike Academy. The most dynamic and pacey winger in the Vilitan system, he is expected to be a great player for many seasons to come. At this stage in his development, he may get overlooked as he works more on his technique and vision, but with experience, he will learn these skills. Lejsrma has been an important part of Strike FC's VLeague successes

[ 51 ] Steffyn Siazzu [ - Turoki Tide - ]
------- AM C ( AGE: 20 CAPS: 50 :: GOALS::SR: 4 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.64 Average Rating ]
An exciting prospect from the Yeaddin Academy, Siazzu plays behind the strikers in a clean up or attacking role atop the midfield. Despite not scoring during World Cup 57 Qualifiers, Siazzu was an important presence. After spending many seasons in Yeaddin, Siazzu moved to the Turoki Tide, helping them to runners-up in the VLeague29 table.

[ 27 ] Rexii Tzikas [ - Cednia Beach AFC (TUR) - ]
------- M RC ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 49 :: GOALS::SR: 10 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.26 Average Rating ]
Tzikas was the top propsect of the Arcticala Academy, and one of the most highly rated players in the Vilitan National Team pool entering World Cup 57 Qualifiers. The Tzikas name has some history in Vilitan Sport, formerly, Toby Tzikas was a midfielder on the National Team, though he was less known than other former Vilitan Stars as he played his club football in Starblaydia. Rexii was the only Vilitan player to start every single match during qualifications for World Cup 57. His presence was strong averaging a 6.01 rating with 2 goals. Tzikas strong performances also were reflected domestically scoring 9 goals in 2 seasons with Turoki Tide before transferring to Cednia Beach for VLeague 28 season.

[ 55 ] Viliaka Morasita [ - Inland Peaks FC - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 27 :: GOALS::SR: 2 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.60 Average Rating ]
Morasita was the top prospect coming out of the Tivali Academy, playing central and left midfield. His sure footed tackling ability is noted but he is a well balanced midfielder. After playing a season and a half professionally for Alikki-Corra, Morasita joined the Vilitan League with Inland Peaks FC midway through VLeague 27.

[ 73 ] Manolis Kontalroma [ - Turoki Tide - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 20 CAPS: 4 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ 7.44 Average Rating ]
A product of the Kiiara Academy, Manolis Kontalroma can play central or on the left side in a classic midfield role. After signing professionally with Jlinal Cove FC, Kontalroma joined the Yeaddin Owls during Vleague 26. Kontalroma stayed at Yeaddin for over 3 seasons before joining the Turoki Tide during VLeague 30.

[ 70 ] Aniara Jiurjai [ - Strike FC - ]
------- M RLC ( AGE: 20 CAPS: 17 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.77 Average Rating ]
Jiurjai was trained in Turori but declared for Vilita after being called upon for World Cup 57 Qualifying. Jiurjai can play both central and outside midfield and can use both feet equally well. After declaring for Vilita, Jiurjai moved from Turori to Turoki to play with the Turoki Tide. Strong performances during VLeague 26 earned Jiurjai a transfer to Strike for VLeague 27 where the midfielder was instrumental to Strike's League and Cup double.

[ 24 ] Astara Daiili [ - Marine Coast United - ]
------- M C ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 27 :: GOALS::SR: 2 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.07 Average Rating ]
Daiili is a classic central midfielder who prefers a holding role and short distribution. With Starblaydi blood and Vilitan determination, Daiili was a consistent performer during World Cup 57 Qualifiers making 19 appearances with a 6.07 average rating.

[ 28 ] Riksa Valjariia [ - Turoki Tide - ]
------- AM C ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 7 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.55 Average Rating ]

[ 78 ] Relmar Winauat [ - Strike FC - ]
------- M RC ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Winauat was a product of the Turoki Academy who has been known to hit some quality long range shots. However, he has also been known to blast the ball over the net from 5 or 6 yards out. Winauat was part of Strike FC's VLeague 27 championship side.

[ 29 ] Cristoh Nrubari [ - Turoki Tide - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Nrubari was a prospect out of the Kiiara Academy who signed his first professional contract with Mliona-Lpaka in Turori. Nrubari was instrumental in Mliona-Lpaka's return to the Stellar Division before moving on to other opportunities.

[ 25 ] Kiroki Mitaroka [ - Inland Peaks FC - ]
------- M RLC ( AGE: 17 CAPS: :: GOALS::SR: U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
After starting at the Turoki Locals in the Lower Leagues, Mitaroka's talent was spotted by Inland Peaks FC who snapped the youngster up for V-League season 29. At the midway point of the season Mitaroka was setting the Declasse on fire with skillful performances and caught the attention of the Vilitan coaches who added Mitaroka to the World Cup 59 roster despite having never been called to the National Team before.

FORWARDS:

[ 17 ] Viji-mara Lawaai [ - Strike FC - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 39 :: GOALS::SR: 11 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.63 Average Rating ]
Trained at the Strike Academy, Lawaai has excelled at shooting from long range, and making space on the edge of the penalty area with crafty turns, and may produce opportunities for free kicks if he wears down the opposition approaching the box. Lawaii made 8 substitute appearances during World Cup 57 qualifying, making his competitive debut against Krytenia, but failed to find the scoresheet.

[ 13 ] Yves Gadois [ - Strike FC - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 17 CAPS: 10 :: GOALS::SR: 2 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.74 Average Rating ]
Gadois became a hot topic in Vilita after rising to glory as the spearhead for Strike FC's Vleague 27 championship, with 8 league goals and an incredibly 6 goals in the Vilitan Cup. Gadois, a product of the Inland Academy, earned an invitation to the National Team Training camp for the first time in the build up to World Cup 58.

[ 9 ] Lita Adjei [ - Arcticala Inlet - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 20 CAPS: 5 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ 7.01 Average Rating ]
A product of the Turoki Academy, Adjei has sport in the blood, being a descendent of former Stellar Division top Forward award winner Ippolit Adjei. Adjei moved on a loan to newly promoted Hojosan in The Yorozura after WC57 quals as part of an investment deal with the clubs kit sponsors, VIlitan based Vilaye energy drink. When that deal expired, Adjei returned to the Vilitan League, being snapped up by Kiiarana in the Stellar Division and quickly rising to the level of stardom with strong performances and crucial goals during Season 29, seeing the single-cap player called to the squad for World Cup 59. Adjei's impressive performances earned him a high-profile transfer to Arcticala Inlet for V-League 30.

[ 15 ] Sirkii Moliaudo [ - Kiiarana - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 33 :: GOALS::SR: 9 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.20 Average Rating ]
Moliaudo is a real force in front of goal, rarely missing from inside the penalty area. Many eyes were on Moliaudo during the World Cup Campaign, to see how he fared with a new partner in attack, having spent his entire development partnered with Xcnaio Bansoa at the Coastal Academy. Moliaudo mostly performed well netting 4 goals and having a strong rating, but still left some wondering if there was more talent to be mined from the Marine Coast youngster. After Bansoa left Marine Coast for greener pastures, Moliaudo remained and his stock also decreased. After a second relegation with Marine Coast, Moliaudo jumped ship up the Vilitan coast to Kiiarana City.

[ 43 ] Kristofer Kilpter [ - Cednia Beach AFC (TUR) - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 44 :: GOALS::SR: 13 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.26 Average Rating ]
Kilpter is joint Vilitan & Turori national, but declared to play for Vilita, with the lure of World Cup competition in Vilita's entry into World Cup 57 the key decision maker after the Turorian side was not entered. Kilpter netted 4 times during the World Cup 57 campaign but missed three matches due to an undisclosed injury. After struggling to win silverware with the Yeaddin Owls, Kilpter made the Largest Transfer in V-League history (12.7 kT) to Turorian side Cednia Beach. The transfer was more than double the 4.5kT previous transfer record in the Vilitan League, which was also payed by Cednia Beach to Yeaddin (for Antonis Siazzu).

[ 44 ] Erocka Lorei [ - Kiiarana - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 20 CAPS: 18 :: GOALS::SR: 11 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.45 Average Rating ]
The top attacking prospect at the Kiiara Academy, Erocka Lorei was expected to get quite a few chances to impress on the national stage during World Cup 57 Qualifying and did not dissapoint, leading the Vilitan team in goals scored with 5 in the competition despite only featuring in 11 out of 16 matches. Lorei claims to be a penalty kick specialist but has not been known for his aerial ability. Lorei signed professionally for Declasse side Liguon Valley during Season 26, but moved on to the Stellar Division during Season 27 with Makosile.

[ 49 ] Xcnaio Bansoa [ - Yeaddin Owls AFC - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 13 :: GOALS::SR: 2 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.03 Average Rating ]
Bansoa was a training partner of Sirkii Moliaudo at the Coastal Academy, and many believed that Moliaudo's prowess in front of goal was due solely to his close partnership with Bansoa. After not being called to the line during World Cup 57 Qualifiers, Bansoa decided it was time for a change, breaking ties with Moliaudo and Marine Coast United, signing for Arcticala Inlet in the Stellar Division. Bansoa featured frequently for the Jungle Cats during the World Cup 58 Campaign, performing well, but scoring no goals, relegating him from the top selection in the subsequent Cup of Harmony held in Vilita and New Montreal States.

[ 48 ] Actalia Mermaioada [ - Turoki Tide - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 5 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.98 Average Rating ]
Mermaioada was a prospect of the Strike Academy, who also excels at water sports, a fact that some pundits have argued hampers his development on the pitch. While not even featuring on the bench for early World Cup 57 qualifying matches, Mermaioada finally made his competitive debut as a half-time substitute against Ipeland and would feature as a sub for three consecutive matches before the return of Kilpter to the lineup. Mermaioada looked to have broken into the lineup during the Cup of Harmony, scoring in Vilita's 5-3 opening match victory. However, the decision to attempt a cross-channel swim on the bye day in the middle of the competition put Mermaioada out of favor with the coaching staff once again. Mermaioada appeared to be completely off the radar before being snapped up from Non-League Surf Jettica by Strike for VLeague 30.

The Iturributa National Football Team

Style: +2
Colours

Manager - Aiza Sein
Iturributa have twice fielded a national team, to compete in the World Cuppets held in Polar Islandstates, but never before have they had the chance to face off against the best in the world. Wily 73 year-old Aiza Sein, best known as long-time manager of Iturributa United, was the man to lead them on their last Cuppet outing, and the Futbol Iturributako Federazioa has judged there is no better candidate to take up the reins for the upcoming campaign now that the nation is well and truly independent. With most of the squad bred in the contrasting styles of the two top Iturributan clubs, interesting football is bound to be played, and the inclusion of men capped for Astograth - Cup of Harmony winners, even - should make them quite the team to watch after their inspired quarterfinal run at the 47th Baptism of Fire.

Starting XI:
(Ages accurate of Champions' Cup 40 final)

#1 - GK - Zernin Aira (C) - Age 32 - Sporting Iturributa - 7 caps, 8 goals conceded, 3 clean sheets
After a long spell at Erathi giants Royal Vosaroni Antenelli, one of the most capped players for Astograth is back home and leading his newly-formed country to their first World Cup qualifiers - Aira's sixth on the trot. He was a constant at Olibondeka from the very beginning thanks to his outstanding skills and commanding behaviour.

#2 - LB - Cherran Zarranz - Age 31 - Image Pradera FC - 19 caps
A tenacious left-back hailing from the Racing Club sector of Iturributa, with a successful spell at Sporting seeing him get called up for the Cuppet and duly earn his runner-up medal. At Pradera FC of the Valladar Super League, second-best league in the world according to the UICA rankings, Zarranz has suffered a slight dip in form due to the shift, but he is still a cut above any other Iturributan down the left wing.

#4 - CB - Sotil Burruchaga - Age 30 - Sporting Iturributa - 7 caps
Pinched from Royal Association and perfected at Sporting's prolific school of defenders, he adapted to the Chevrons' first team without a problem and makes his presence felt with size and grit. He's not fast at all, which can make counter-attacks costly, but was a mainstay of the Astograthian national team and has developed an excellent understanding with keeper Zernin Aira that carries over to Sporting and their new national side.

#14 - CB – Tartalo Maruri - Age 31 – Iturributa United - 5 caps, 1 goal
Currently the most decorated player at United, with three domestic leagues, two Royal Cups, two Ides of March Cups and a brand new Champions' Cup runner-up medal to his name; Maruri is a shining example of loyalty if not consistency, though his recent club performances indicate he has finally stabilised as a top defender. He connects well with his United teammates and was part of the Astograthian squad that qualified for World Cup 57; though both do their best to remain professional, clashes with Burruchaga at domestic level can, on occasion, carry over with unfortunate results.

#12 - RB – Ixona Zarrasbeitia - Age 22 - Sporting Iturributa - 4 caps
Another bright young defender product of the Sporting academy, Zarrasbeitia has replaced Eneko Dorregaray as the Chevrons' right-back and could be achieving great things with the national team in a not-so-distant future if he manages to cement his place as starting right-back over Luk Merbilha. He isn't short on quickness or endurance, at least.

#6 - DM – Agoztar Gorstiaga - Age 26 - Image Angels - 6 caps
Gorstiaga has shown his quick feet and pinpoint passing throughout the world, winning a KPFA league title after being snapped up by Zhevassi after Di Bradini Cup 18, going on to win much more with FKM (including the UICA Champions' Cup) and taking part in two World Cup qualifying campaigns, reaching the finals in the second of these. Provides a better playmaking presence than Legeren and though defending isn't his strong suit, he doesn't think twice about recklessly throwing himself to the ground to recover the ball.

#7 - LM – Zuzen Barta - Age 28 – Image Northbrook Diamonds FK - 7 caps, 2 goals
A quick little devil who rose through the ranks of Iturributa United and the Astograth U21 national team, competing in three Di Bradini Cups before earning a place in the teams that reached the finals of World Cup 57 and 59. Brings his talent to Iturributa now, capable of splitting open any defense with a mazing run.

#20 - RM - Leizarraga Lukuix - Age 26 - Image Athletic Club Olarria - 12 caps, 1 goal
One of the lesser-known members of the team, surprisingly handed a starting spot. Diametrically opposed to Barta in that he doesn't go for the run or dribble as much as he recovers the ball, beats the defender with a sudden sprint and crosses early to beat the offside trap. One of modest Astograthian ouftit Olarria's standout players, exposure at international level may bring some interesting offers his way.

#18 - LCF - Artzeiz Zornoza - Age 33 - Image AS Bezieres - 7 caps, 4 goals
He doesn't really know how to build up an attack, but can finish like the best of them. Blessed with an exceptional first touch, Zornoza jumped straight from the Astograthian second tier to the highly-rated Valladar Super League. He took Eterna Stars to an unlikely title and earned his place in Olibondeka, with whom he went to two World Cups and won Cup of Harmony 50. His transfer to giants AS Bezieres has given him renewed confidence. At the Baptism of Fire he scored a number of crucial goals, but competition from the others is fierce and an injury while playing for Bezieres may have set him back a notch.

#10 - CF - Kauldi Isasmendi - Age 26 - Image Echegoyan FC - 7 caps, 5 goals
A striker with plenty of future at Astograthian title contenders Echegoyan FC. Fairly mobile and not lacking in nerve, but excess in the dribble means he can miss the chance to score or assist a teammate. Put in a few brilliant games at the Baptism of Fire, and is temporarily the national team's top scorer, but is quite desperate to turn into the team's star player. His tepid rivalry with Boneta could yet escalate.

#9 - CF - Emenon Boneta - Age 28 - Freedom FC - 6 caps, 4 goals
Loyal to the bone, hasn't ditched his club despite long years in the Astograthian second tier and lavish offers from above. Finds himself within a dream come true, representing Iturributa alongside the man whom he succeeded at club level, Artzeiz Zornoza. Strong, cheerful and determined, you can never count out Boneta when he's on the pitch.

Substitutes:

#13 - GK - Alaon Larraza - Age 29 - Iturributa United - 5 caps, 6 goals against, 1 clean sheet
#23 - GK – Yoritz Zarazua - Age 32 - Sporting Iturributa - 8 caps, 9 goals against, 5 cleans sheets
The reserve keepers of the two top sides have played for Iturributa at the Cuppets, but are now hopelessly eclipsed by Aira. Both are proven keepers with plenty of experience at smaller teams, but lack the regularity to challenge for a starting spot.

#3 - LB – Burutzagi Narbarte - Age 29 – Iturributa Racing Club - 2 caps
Narbarte has had a very eventful career despite never cementing himself, making appearances for Urbizania Wanderers, briefly for Ituraitz FC, at Citiz side High Groth Athletic in a confusing transfer ordeal and going down to the second tier with Ximun Orieta FC before being snapped up by his current Iturributa Racing Club. Isn't very technical at all, but at this point knows every trick in the book and can be relied on to dispossess wingers; doing something clever with the ball afterwards is another matter.

#19 - CB - Eusko Kuruchet - Age 27 - Image Sparta F.C. - 3 caps
#5 - CB - Erramun Echebarria - Age 28 - Image Yuzhny Equinox - 2 caps
Similar age, similar playing style, similar career. Kuruchet came through at Royal Association, Echebarria at Sporting Iturributa; they were signed at a young age by foreign teams and have stuck with them through thick and thin, bobbing up and down the table and tiers. Trust them to be resolute.

#8 - RB – Luk Merbilha - Age 32 - Iturributa United - 4 caps
Came through at Echegoyan FC and was a vital part of their rise up the Astograthian First Division table before leaving to join United, where he struggled to adapt but has now cemented himself as a regular. Age plays against him, what with Zarrasbeitia on his heels, but his experience in UICA competition keeps him in the running.

#15 - DM – Zorion Legeren - Age 32 - Image SK Franz Josef City - 5 caps
A product of the Spoting academy; smart, level-headed centre midfielder who currently plies his trade in one of the Polarian league's top teams. Can be accused of not covering enough ground and not diving in with the tackle when necessary, but he is a valuable asset going forwards, pinpoint passes and quick dribbles allowing him to move right up to the box. Rotated his place with Gorstiaga at Astograth, and it is expected Sein will do much the same.

#21 - LM – Sandaili Iturraspe - Age 27 – Iturributa United - 3 caps
#16 - RM - Altzibar Salutregi - Age 21 - Sporting Iturributa - 3 caps, 1 goal
Bench players at their respective clubs without much of a presence at international level, though Salutregi has played for Astograth at the Campeonatos Rushmori de la Juventud. Iturraspe is a utility player, capable of occupying the whole left wing or even going down the middle as attacking midfielder. Salutregi is a more traditional winger, cutting into the box with speed and dribble as opposed to Lukuix's lethal crossing.

#22 - LCF – Zilar Oramuno - Age 29 – Iturributa United - 1 cap
#17 - CF - Tibalt Kereyasu - Age 28 - Image Blue Mountain Range - Uncapped
#20 - RCF – Gaizkine Liroz - Age 31 - Sporting Iturributa - 9 caps, 2 goals
Three average strikers with some redeeming qualities that justify their inclusion in the squad, though Sein should perhaps consider if Iturributa's talent pool is large enough to have three forwards. Oramuno has a physical presence and lots of winning experience following a great spell at Ituraitz FC, Kereyasu has been included instead of Meabe Bastida after some decent seasons for Gesterlake FC and Blue Mountain Range; Liroz is a Sporting veteran with a brief stint in the Astograthian U21s a long time ago.

Captain: Zernin Aira
Free Kick Taker: Leizarraga Lukuix
Penalty Taker: Artzeiz Zornoza
Right Corner: Zuzen Barta
Left Corner: Leizarraga Lukuix

All of the Free Republic's home matches will be played at the 72,000-seater Old City Stadium in Iturributa's eponymous capital city. The stadium is large, lively and full of tradition, serving as the home ground of both Iturributa United and Sporting Iturributa; the expectation to see the national team at play is enormous, so oversold games shouldn't come as a surprise.

YES to all RP permissions, barring any career-ending incidents. If you have any questions about anything, please do TG this nation or Astograth.

The Official Visitor’s Guide for Kiryu-shi
World Cup 60 Qualifications

Produced by the Sakaino Athletic and Performance Arts Committee

Introduction
The Sakaino Athletic and Performance Arts Committee is excited to present the World Cup 60 Kiryu-shi National Team to all of our foreign guests. For just the second time in a generation, Kiryu-shi is sending an official team to represent the nation. While this team has not been able to replicate the domestically legendary team that played from World Cup 34-37, a team that, in the space of four World Cup cycles, was able to win Baptism of Fire, reach the finals of the Cup of Harmony (as well as finishing third in the subsequent tournament) and qualify for the World Cup, they look to build upon some modest levels of success over the past four years. Indeed, while the roster that they sent to represent them in the regional AOCAF tournament experimented with both personnel and style, the roster for World Cup 60 is identical to the roster for World Cup 59. Still a young team, and representative of the first generation of players who were able to play football following the revocation of the anti-obscenity laws that banned the sport decades ago, they are led by the esteemed coach Marja Mayberry, one of the key figures in bringing football back to the country.

While we encourage enthusiasm as well as international cooperation, we will warn nations that the sport of football is still not universally accepted by the population of Kiryu-shi, where the Quee religion is still widely practiced, a religion that prohibits, amongst other things, team sports. Furthermore, under the Quee-based politics which dominated the nation for over seventy years, international commerce or tourism was strictly prohibited. As a result, we will only be able to host a total of 500 guests for the duration of five days prior to the start of any home match and up to two days following the match. This includes all team members, coaches, medics, press, fans, foreign dignitaries, etc. We have sent the five hundred passes directly to the teams coming to visit our nation - if you are reading this and do not have a pass, we urge you to contact your nation’s team representative. All guests will have access to the Hamamoto Dorm on the scenic Sakanio University Campus, just a five minute walk from Sakaino University’s Athletic Complex, the site of all home matches of Kiryu-shi. The accommodations of Hamamoto dorm include 200 single occupancy rooms, and 150 duel occupancy rooms. The attached dining center will serve three meals a day of local Kiryu-shi cuisine, although guests are encouraged to use the Kiryu-shi rapid transit system to explore the beautiful capital city and also have access to semi-private kitchens. A map of the city has been attached below, with each region dominated by a central university, with smaller stops marked appropriately. All visitors are strongly encouraged to stay within city limits, as the rest of the island nation is uninhabited and strictly off-limits.

The Kiryu-shi national team has established a reputation for fairly prudent and timely defensive football, allowing only thirteen goals in 12 matches in the previous World Cup cycle, although they only were able to win a single match and finished with just six points. The team will attempt to maintain their defensive style, anchored by an aggressive five-person defensive formation, while their attacks will be centered, once again, on their sole striker, Samantha DeCastro. All the players on the team participate in the amateur Kiryu-shi University Athletic League, and are listed with the names of their corresponding Universities. All of the players are still students, as 94% of the nation either has an advanced degree or is working towards one, and the entire economy is largely built off of the universities.

Thank you, and welcome to our nation.

Official Roster
GK
Kohei Yasumu (1)
Age: 25
Sakaino University
A quiet but forceful presence on the goal line, Kohei Yasumu does not seem to be the prototypical keeper, but possesses incredible dexterity. He can show moments of extreme athleticism making spectacular saves, but has been known to play out of position from time to time, not calculating angles well and is particularly hesitant going up for crosses.

DF
Patrick Yu (15)
Age: 23
Umeda University
A defender who is at his best when he is reacting to the ball, Patrick Yu excels playing with a vocal presence to his immediate right. He tends to play unassertively, but is generally able to always stay on any given attacker, with incredible reflexes and quick hips, Patrick Yu is likely the hardest defender to get around. His weaknesses, including his inability to execute tackles well and a striking inability to clear the ball, prevent him from being an elite defender.

Olive Ferguson (5)
Age: 25
Aioi University
The captain of the team, Olive Ferguson utilizes her dominant physical presence, and has the ability to shut down opposing attacks with precise, aggressive, hard tackles. She has a tendency to be carded frequently, however, and has been known to vocalize her displeasure with officials.

Rebecca Hamilton (4)
Age: 23
Sakaino University
Another foil against Olive Ferguson’s aggressive play, Rebecca Hamilton is possibly the most technically skilled person in the nation, showing an incredible ability to control any ball at first touch. She is able, generally to take a ball away from attackers with seemingly no effort, and when she can be coaxed into helping with counter-attacks, she is generally able to move past multiple opposing defenders. She generally struggles with positioning, as she tends to get sucked into the one-on-one battles that she excels, and can be caught unawares during off-side traps.

Kenta Takenomi (20)
Age: 22
Aioi University
An athlete who many predicted would be a dominant player in the sport at a young age, Kenta Takenomi has struggled to find a place on the pitch. He is a hard tackler with adequate speed excellent fitness, but tends to have a wild, unconstrained style of play. His lack of discipline can open up holes at his position as a wing back, and he doesn’t have the pace that would be ideal at his position. Although he plays center back on his university squad, he makes too many mistakes to be trusted there on the international stage.

Charles Meer (8)
Age: 23
Kasakake University
Another great athlete lacking in some of the technical qualities one would desire from an international football player, Charles Meer is tall and swift, able to cover vast distances from his left wing back position. Lacking a great leg or ball control, he nevertheless is effective attacking simple due to the great runs he can carve through a defense. His height also makes him a threat on corners, and he never seems to have trouble retreating hastily to his defensive position.

MF
Will Feingold (2)
Age: 21
Umeda University
The best player on the pitch at any given moment, Will Feingold is the key to the Kiryu-shi defense. He has tremendous speed and agility, able to cover a large amount of the field. He generally contains himself to the defensive half of the field, hesitant to help out with attacks, but when he does, he is an extraordinary threat, one of three current players who scored in the last World Cup qualifications. He has tremendous ball-control skills, and is a relentless tracker of whoever has the ball on the opposing attack.

Bob Libby (10)
Age: 25
Sakuragi University
Bob Libby excels in breaking down opposing defenses, using a wide variety of feints combined with effortless small, accurate touches to get past many highly skilled defenders. He struggles a lot, however, controlling longer passes or shots on goal. The disparity between his one on one skills and his passing skills is fairly extreme, making him a difficult player to defend but an easy player to neutralize.

J.J. Erickson (12)
Age: 25
Sakaino University
Almost the exact opposite of Bob Libby, J.J. Erickson possesses an incredible ability to dictate the pace of the match by peppering the field with crisp, efficient passes. He has the most accurate long-distance shot on the team, although he tends to be slow to shoot, always looking to get the ball to his teammates as soon as possible.

Lidia Barnes (6)
Age: 23
Sakaino University
A striker on her university squad, Lidia Barnes is more suited for a role in the midfield, where she is able to use her deep knowledge of tactics and great ball-control to dictate the pace of attack. Although not a tremendous athlete, not particularly fast, she has quick feet and plays her position extremely intelligently. Although she’s not a dynamic playmaker, if the game is going well she can pepper the goal area with accurate passes as she controls the Kiryu-shi attack.

FW
Samantha DeCastro (11)
Age: 22
Amanuma University
A former gymnast, and a tremendously gifted athlete, Samantha DeCastro still struggles at times making fairly basic mistakes, as she has an unreliable first touch and a fairly inaccurate shot. Her tremendous athleticism in front of the goal, however, allows her to create incredible goals with crosses anywhere near her. She tends to do better when she relies on instincts, often overthinking when she has more than three or four touches on the ball.

Cup of Harmony Champions
Post World Cup 26; Post World Cup 32

GOALKEEPERS:

[ 1 ] Ronji Miiastara [ - Kiiarana City (Vilita) - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 32 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
Miiastara joined Marine Coast United in Vilita for their V-League 27 campaign in the Declasse, just the second ever for the club at that level. Miiastara was tasked with keeping the ball out of the net, and he did just that, helping lead Marine Coast United back to the Stellar Division at the first attempt leading up to V-League 28. After competing in the UICA 'B' Champions League, Marine Coast finished a respectable 7th place in the V-League but just missed out on a UICA place. Miiastara jumped ship to Kiiarana City in order to participate in the UICA Globe Cup prior to Season 29. While Kiiarana did not make the huge title push expected of them, Miiastara let in a career low 14 goals during Season 30, leading Kiiarana to a runner up finish in the Stellar Division and a place in the UICA Champions League.

[ 82 ] Mumau Atla-Siioai [ - Turoki United (Vilita) - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 4 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
A Dual Vilita & Turori National, Atla-Siioai was invited to the Vilitan World Cup 57 Training camp - but so were 6 other goalkeepers. Atla-Siioai transferred from the Kionao Locals to Vilitan side Turoki United for the V-League 27 season. While his play for Turoki was solid, the impact of Atla-Siioai's presence was most evident back in Turori as the Locals were relegated from the V-League with a club record 20 defeats. While showing the importance of having Atla-Siioai in the squad, the fact that the Goalkeeper left the Locals high and dry has not left a good impression on their Turorian fanbase. Atla-Siioai has, however, made a name for himself in Turoki, repeatedly being named Supporters Player of the Season and leading the team into UICA Competition places.

[ 86 ] Hooizo Nuakoi [ - Turoki Tide (Vilita) - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
Nuakoi, a dual Vilitan & Turorian national, entered World Cup 58 qualifying uncapped and undeclared for either Nation. Nuakoi was widely expected to openly declare Turorian Nationality going into the qualifying, but with the rise of rival Ronji Miiastara, Nuakoi decided to leave the door open to a Vilitan return should he remain uncapped for Turori. After spending Season 26 and 27 at Turoki Isle, Nuakoi made the move to the Yeaddin Owls midway through Season 27 to become their #1 keeper. Nuakoi returned to Turoki during Season 29, joining the Turoki Tide as they finished runners up in the Stellar Division. Nuakoi was important in the Tide's success in the Tropical Trophy, the clubs first major Top-Level silverware.

DEFENDERS:

[ 2 ] Yoains Konoaafeo [ - Cednia Beach AFC - ]
------- D RLC ( AGE: 23 CAPS: 32 :: GOALS::SR: 1 )
Konoaafeo was the top defensive product of the Yeaddin Academy and was expected to be part of the Vilitan national team set up due to this fact. However, after not being capped during World Cup 57 Qualifying, and learning of Turori's intention to enter World Cup 58, Konoaafeo switched allegiances both for club and country. After playing half of V-League 26 with the Kionao Locals, Konoaafeo moved to Cednia Beach AFC where he would lead the Coconut Kickers to their second V-League championship, being named Turorian player of the season in the process.

[ 3 ] Lioniaa Tana [ - Cednia Beach AFC - ]
------- D/DM LC ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 29 :: GOALS::SR: 1 )
Tana is one of the most athetlically skilled defensive players in the Turorian arsenal, although Tana's weakness shines in technical areas like heading and man to man marking. After starting their career at Vilitan side Rammsissil, Tana moved to Eastal Lunar FC during V-League 27, winning the Vilitan Cup with the team during Season 28 but relegation triggered a clause allowing Tana to return home to Turori with Cednia Beach AFC for Season 29.

[ 12 ] Diauro Dlaminii [ - Cednia Beach AFC - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 26 :: GOALS::SR: 1 )
Dlaminii started his career at Vilitan lower league side Alona Sissil where he impressed greatly, warranting interest from all the top named V-League sides. Dlaminii eventually decided to head home to Turori, signing with Cednia Beach AFC where he competed in all of the clubs V-League 27 matches.

[ 5 ] Noa-isinao Wioauoi [ - Turoki Tide (Vilita) - ]
------- D RLC ( AGE: 20 CAPS: 3 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
Noa-isinao Wioauoi ws a product of the Yeaddin Academy who caught the eye of one Yeaddin reporter at a training session doing ball handling tricks, and the shared video went viral, sparking a campaign including a fan website and even local town council requests to invite the youngster into the Vilita National Team training camp for World Cup 57. Wioauoi was invited to the camp, but never impressed coaches Massa and Wrice enough to be capped during the process. Wioauoi, born in Turori despite leaving in Vilita, accepted an invitation from the Football Association of Turori to train with them in preparation for a playing role in the World Cup 58 Qualifiers. After spending a season at Arcticala Inlet, Wioauoi moved to new Stellar Division competitiors Turoki Tide.

[ 4 ] Balariita Muzmaara [ - Terrarokka Spirit (Vilita) - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 18 CAPS: 8 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
Muzmaara, one of the youngest players ever invited to a Turorian National Team training camp (Ignoring the Cocoboas), joining the Terrarokka Spirit during Season 27.

[ 61 ] Moia Fliporta [ - Laiotia Locals (Vilita) - ]
------- D/DM L ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
Fliporta started their career at Laiotia Locals in the Non-League system of Vilita. Known for aerobic ability such as speed, acceleration and the ability to jump higher than most anyone on the pitch, Fliporta is otherwise not particularly great at the technical aspects of the game.

UTILITY PLAYERS:

[ 22 ] Restiaa Mumamba [ - Yeaddin Owls (Vilita) - ]
------- ATH ( AGE: 20 CAPS: 29 :: GOALS::SR: 1 )
Mumamba was the definition of a versatile player for Vilita's Yeaddin Owls after joining them for the V-League 27 season from Jlinal Cove FC. Mumamba played in every position from Central Defender to Striker, scoring a game winning goal in one game and a game saving tackle in the next. Mumamba is an expert choice for a third sub or to allow tactical changes on the pitch without substitutions being made. The strong and versatile performances of Mumamba during Season 28 earned Mumamba a high profile transfer to defending Stellar Division champions Arcticala Inlet but he left the Electricians the following season to be apart of the growing Yeaddin Owls squad.

MIDFIELDERS:

[ 7 ] Rikko Rawaii [ - Arcticala Inlet (Vilita) - ]
------- AM C ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 32 :: GOALS::SR: 9 )
Rawaii's dribbling ability coupled with lightning pace make him a threat any time he touches the ball, to create something even from nothing with a few quick moves. Rawaii is not known so much as a goalscorer, instead, an opportunity creator. Rawaii was named Player of the Year at Arcticala Inlet during Season 26 and was named Turorian player of the year during Season 27 when Inlet won the Tropical Trophy. Rawaii would win the Stellar Division with Arcticala Inlet during Season 29 finishing second in the goalscoring race.

[ 17 ] Cediici Tzatzos [ - Kiiarana (Vilita) - ]
------- M R ( AGE: 24 CAPS: 33 :: GOALS::SR: 1 )
A determined winger, Tzatzos is a product of the Strike Academy and remained a bit-part player for the club when the Vilitan League resumed for Season 26. Tzatsos was part of Strike's Stellar Division winning Season 27 side while being named Turorian Player of the Season, but when the success did not repeat itself during Season 28, Tzatzos was transfered to Kiiarana City.

[ 13 ] Vrotaoa Lorasoiba [ - Arcticala Inlet (Vilita) - ]
------- M C ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 30 :: GOALS::SR: 4 )
Lorasoiba's impressive performances for Turoki United, including 5 goals during the V-League 26 season, earned a high-value transfer to top Vilitan side Arcticala Inlet AFC. While it took Lorasoiba some time to get settled into life on the big Island, Lorasoiba's performances were enough to get an invitation to the Turori National Training camp for World Cup 58.

[ 6 ] Raso Tareak [ - Yeaddin Owls (Vilita) - ]
------- M C ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 28 :: GOALS::SR: 3 )
Tareak joined Jlinal Cove FC in Vilita for V-League 26 helping the club to a respectable 8th place finish. In V-League 27, Tareak's peformances improved with a pair of goals helping Jlinal to an all-time best finish of 4th place in the standings. Tareak's impressive performances in Jlinal earned him a transfer, first to Turorian UICA Champions League representatives Cednia Beach AFC, then to the Yeaddin Owls for V-League 30.

[ 38 ] Tiika Diirotora [ - Strike (Vilita) - ]
------- M RC ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 14 :: GOALS::SR: 1 )
Diirotora is a dedicated and well travelled midfielder who made a name for themselves while leading Kiiarana City to the Vilitan Cup Final in V-League 27. After starting their career in the Liguon Valley, Diirotora made the leap to the Stellar Division for Season 27 and the move payed off with 4 goals and a post season transfer back home to Turori with mega-club Cednia Beach AFC. Diirotora spent a season at Makosile before joining Strike for Season 30.

[ 16 ] Rutaj Ranaso [ - Kiiarana (Vilita) - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 12 :: GOALS::SR: 1 )
Ranaso moved from Turori to the nearby island of Turoki to play for Mavaloiao FC in the Vilitan Declasse when the league resumed for Season 26. After 2 strong seasons at the Declasse side, Ranaso joined Stellar Division side Eastal Lunar for V-League Season 28 and helped them win the Vilitan Cup despite relegation from the Stellar Division.

FORWARDS:

[ 8 ] Liinai Zakazaka [ - Jlinal Cove FC (Vilita) - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 31 :: GOALS::SR: 14 )
Zakazaka joined Jlinal Cove FC for the V-League 27 season and gained some attention back in Turori for their contribution to the 'Cove's impressive top-4 finish in the final standings. Zakazaka was named Jlinal Cove's top player during Season 28.

[ 18 ] Loala Kigoouao [ - Turoki Tide - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 23 :: GOALS::SR: 12 )
Kigoouao signed for Morata Valley FC for V-League 26 and instantly made an impact at the Vilitan club, earning Top Goalscorer honors in the Declasse while leading Morata Valley to Stellar Division Promotion. Kigoouao was unfazed by the higher level of competition, upping the goal count to 16 in Season 27 and firmly setting the expectation that they would be the go-to forward for the Turori National Team in World Cup 58. Kigoouao was named Morata Valley player of the season during Season 27 and 28. After many outstanding seasons at Morata Valley, Kigoouao joined the Turoki Tide for V-League 30.

[ 19 ] Jukkia Diijelhma [ - Kionao Locals - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 14 :: GOALS::SR: 2 )
Born in Starblaydia, Diijelhma moved to Turori following V-League Season 26 to pursue a new career in the Island Emirate. Diijelhma was one of the few Kionao Locals players in their disasterous V-League 27 season to receive even neutral reviews. Despite scoring no goals on the season, the Striker showed some skill that was required for the Locals to avoid another relegation in Season 28, and also proved to be useful for the Turori National team.

[ 9 ] Anuh Ciniima [ - Morata Valley (Vilita) - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 17 :: GOALS::SR: 2 )
Ciniima was born in Turori to Misrantian parents before moving to Vilita to study and train for his sporting career. The unselfish striker joined Morata Valley after their promotion to the Stellar Division for Season 27 as a compliment to Turorian Striker Loala Kigoouao. Ciniima, while able to put the ball in the net when needed, has shown to be an expert decision maker, recording twice as many assists as goals inside the box.
