The Karditan Robber Barons

Soccer is illegal in Karditan. Thus, this is a team of criminals.

Starting 11

GK- Emanuel Portico. One of the most successful petty thieves in all of Karditan, he is incredibly agile and specializes in predicting the movements of adversaries. This helps tremendously in stopping shots, espicially PKs. He is dating Sweet Swing.

DL- Left Wing. A Pegasus hitman who's wanted on several charges of vandalism and arson, suspected of using small tornadoes and lightning to destroy the rival businesses of his clients.

DLC- Dorian Berard. One of Wing's clients, Berard runs Hardcore Cola, Karditan's leading soda distributor (at least since Popsi Cola's headquarters mysteriously burned down.)

DRC- Carnac Carson. The biggest personality in Karditani crime, Carnac is the guy you go to when you need a hookup. Everyone who is anyone has grabbed a beer with him at one point or another.

DR- Ivory Hilt. A freedom fighter from Vashameer, a county on the disputed border between Karditan and the semi-autonomous state of Ibex, he's actually most famous as the finest goat model; his horns are nothing short of magnificent. However, his fame hasn't stopped him from personally leading the resistance movement to officially sever Ibex from Karditan and take Vashameer with it.

ML- Pierre Le'viore. Runs the largest brothel in Sinsinatti, which isn't illegal by itself, but also traffics incredible amounts of 'hard stuff' below the floorboards. Considering Karditan is pretty lax when it comes to drugs, that's saying something.

MC- Sweet Swing. The one member of the Robber Barons who isn't actually a criminal, Swing is the daughter of famous Karditinian golfer Tyre McIron. She is in a pretty serious relationship with Emanuel Portico.

MR- Lightning Heart. A buffalo with a bad temper. Really, that's it. More assault & battery convictions than you can shake a horn at. Isn't very swift, but few people will want to be in his way if he gets up to speed.

FL- Mario Cansetta. One of the higher-ups in Korzado's organization (see below), Mario is in charge of collecting protection fees in Sinsinatti as well as organizing the official unofficial street racing league of Karditan. He's generally good-natured (he tries to convince his clients to pay their fees because he genuinely doesn't want to teach them a lesson), and is fiercely competitive. He'll take some bad shots, but it's damn hard for defenders to keep up with him.

FC- Silveen Eleco. The Man in Karditan. He runs Eleco Industries, Karditan's largest electronics company. He inherited the moderately-sized business from his father, Sylvester, and grew it to enormous proportions with brilliant economics and some underhanded business practices. He organized the Robber Barons and put together their entry into the World Cup.

FR- Korzado. One of the few Zebras in Karditan, Korzado runs the Illineigh Mafia. His influence can be found in almost every successful business venture in Illineigh, as well as many in Detrot and Sinsinatti. A legion of all types of creatures serve him, and he might be the only thing richer than Eleco in Karditan- but he doesn't flaunt his wealth like Eleco does. Almost all of it is re-invested, whether in businesses or bribes.

Manager- Sucker Punch. A unicorn who's special ability is illusions of the nefarious kind, Punch is a strategic genius who plans to bring Karditan to the top. He runs the most successful corporate advertising/propaganda firm in Fillydelphia.

Substitutes

GK- Kroze (Zebra)
D- Mark Cheez
D- Jack Howitzer
D- Pick Pocket (Unicorn)
M- John Bum
M- Rain Out (Pegasus)
F- Ron Ferret
F- Hired Hoof (Earth Pony)

Formation: 4-3-3
Style Mod: -2.5
Home field: Silveen Eleco's personal pitch in his massive Fillydelphia complex. Visiting teams and a small cadre of visiting fans will be escorted through a convoluted network of underground tunnels that lead from the seaboard to the complex. No one is allowed to leave the complex until the end of play and all exists must be international in nature. We don't want the Karditani cops catching wind of a soccer game, do we?

The Authority

Manager: Count Frank Stern - 48

Fresh off FC Moonrock's Super League victory, the Count has been granted the opportunity to bring some international silverware in for the country. The only thing standing in Cambazooty's way would be Stern's... unusual coaching methods.

Assistant Manager: Bjorn Stern - 11

Fresh off his Quintuple in Football Manager 2012, Stern Jr has been asked to help his father train the Comets. Initially hesitant, Bjorn joined the squad after he heard free wi-fi will be provided at the tournament.

Captain: 4. Ulrich Garrett - 30 - Central Defender

Entering his prime, the massively influential Astrus Athletic captain constantly demands his team go for victory. Garrett is also a 4th-dan black belt in Karate, and he's not afraid to teach the opponents a painful lesson on the perils of diving.

Vice-Captain: 7. S. Natcattiram - 26 - Ball-Winning Midfielder

Natty is in charge of keeping the peace among the Cambazooty squad. The Unity FC captain was solely responsible for managing to get the team together without them getting into a massive fist-fight with each other.

Domestic Stars

1. Chino MacDonald - 27 - Sweeper Keeper

Representing Dumpo-2004 is Chino MacDonald, a 220cm behemoth who's as light as a feather. Chino also suffers from a nasty case of epilepsy.

2. Arn Colton - 27 - Left Full Back

Orphaned at a young age, Colton was adopted by the owner of Desterburg e.V. and quickly broke through into the first team. The left back was selected for international duty at the same time as said owner disappearing, and Colton thinks he may have some good leads in the Babbage Islands.

3. Hanz Schumacher - 83 - Central Defender

Initially taking it up as a hobby after retirement, Schumacher has now invested a quarter of his life to playing top football for Unity FC. The octogenarian hopes to keep playing the beautiful game for as long as he lives.

5. Hubert Schlochmann - 32 - Right Full Back

Schlochmann was the surprise pick of the century, having only played the ball for 15 seconds of his professional career. The free agent himself doesn't know what to make of it, but quietly accepts it nonetheless.

6. Faroukh Nijam - 24 - Right Winger - Right Corner Taker - Long Free Kick Taker

Nijam was on track to getting the golden boot when he hauled in 32 goals in the first half of the season. Ever since the pork incident, the ony part of the Astrus Athletic man that hasn't gone wrong is his passing ability.

8. Walter Xing - 22 - Box-To-Box Midfielder

Xing's father once built him a solar-powered lung, allowing him to run under the Sun for as long as he wants. The FC Moonrock star has since been touted as the best box-to-box player in Cambazooty.

9. Sankarno Bintang - 21 - Left Winger - Left Corner Taker - Short Free Kick Taker

For half the time Bintang has the ball, the FC Moonrock man darts past the defense and gracefully weaves past the opposition before delivering a game-winning cross. For the other half, Bintang trips over his feet and falls face-first.

10. Angel Jung - 24 - Advanced Playmaker

Don't let the name fool you: Jung is a feisty character on and off the pitch. The Astrus Midnight boy holds the record for fastest sending off in Cambazooty (0.4 seconds) as well as two counts for attempted murder.

11. Keke Van Haren - 27 - Complete Forward - Penalty Taker

Keke Van Haren is Cambazooty's star player. Known nationwide as 'King Keke', the Astrus Athletic star has won the golden boot for five years in succession, and he doesn't look to stop the chain anytime soon.

Generic Sods

12. Torsten Moench - 30 - Goalkeeper
13. Yunus Poldervaart - 29 - Left Full Back
14. Max Ebersbach - 28 - Central Defender
15. Eric Meier - 26 - Central Defender
16. Niklas Hertz - 32 - Right Full Back
17. Martin Hertz - 28 - Left Midfielder
18. Michael Lehrer - 24 - Defensive Midfielder
19. Mitchell Campbell - 21 - Attacking Midfielder
20. Michael Akubundu - 25 - Right Midfielder
21. Harris Mackenzie - 29 - Deep Lying Forward
22. Stephen Munro - 23 - Advanced Forward

The above eleven are tagging along so that Cambazooty won't be short of any domestic players. They're certainly talented enough to be selected for the national team, but they have no special gimmick going for them. Boring...

The Freisan Farfadillian Fretball Francitian (Official Farfadillian Football Association in English) has officially presented WC 60's roster:

Image

Manager: Fendergéson Numbá
Assistant Manager: Ander Numbá
Style Modifier: +2

GK1:
Name: Erfaon Lisdiren (Main team)
Age: 22
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Style: Acrobatic goalkeeper
Bio: He was discovered by a Gorfalle Town scout by the age of 18. Quickly rose to fame by becoming Farfadillis' league's goalkeeper of the year and was consequently bought by Ferdullaele FC (Farfadillis' best team). He can stop almost any shot, but will almost always lose the ball due to poor handling. Due to this, the defenders that play with him are always next to him when someone shoots, to prevent an opponent's striker to score.

GK2:
Name: Yintíñoin Redfaer
Age: 36
Team: Friguista Farfa FC
Style: Traditional Goalkeeper, very slow
Bio: Farfadillis' oldest goalkeeper, used to be the main goalkeeper until age hit him. He's part of the roster because of his pretty unusual talent, stopping almost any penalty, will always enter the field on minute 120 (given the condition the game is going to end as a draw).

LB:
Name: Nomá Greffe (Main Team)
Age: 20
Team: Goldepa Tigers (not a Farfadillis team, an Olodepa one)
Style: Fast thinking, Tactical Mastermind
Bio: Nomá Greffe is a very interesting LB, he's a bit slow, but totally makes up for it by always knowing what the opponent's going to do. He's not very good at long passing, so he often tries to make the team play better by using short passing.

LB:
Name: Shutufragafardeliidis Meindá
Age: 34
Team: Llefraga FC
Style: Violent and foul-mouthed, poor technically, very slow.
Bio: Shutufragafardeliidis is pretty bad actually, the only reason why he is (sometimes) on the starting line-up is because adversaries fear him. He's broken more legs than he has scored goals.

CB:
Name: Gyff Saindí (Main Team) (Captain)
Age: 37
Team: Fragardallians
Style: Very persuasive, slow
Bio: Gyff debuted on the national team at the age of 20, and has ever since been the captain, he's the ideal captain, very persuasive and respectful, he's slow but never stops running and never gives up a single ball. He's on his late stage but age has only made him better.

CB:
Name: Yung Chinsúa
Age: 22
Team: Feardallis' Wanderers
Style: Fast defender, prone to injuries
Bio: Yung is Saindí's future heir, he's young and, even though he's not really similar to him, he'll be the starting CB when Saindí retires, which should be soon. He's prone to injuries because of his below average strength, this isn't a problem as he's doing heavy excercises and will become stronger on the future.

RB:
Name: Agundí Frêndê (Main Team)
Age: 22
Team: Fryi Frêndê
Style: Very selfish, awesome dribbler.
Bio: Ferdullaele FC has always been interested on Agundí, but, as his father is the founder of his team(Fryi Frêndê), he has constantly rejected any offer. He's the best dribbler of the team, but the most selfish player too. Rumours has it he'll be sold next transfer window.

LM:
Name: I7imund Bujkanovic (Main Team)
Age: 29
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Style: Extremely Fast, good on a defensive point of view.
Bio: I7imund is a very fast midfielder, almost unstoppable on a long run. He's been the Best Farfadillian Player of the year twice since his debut. He's youth team was Tympú FC, but Ferdullaele FC bought him before he even debuted.

CDM:
Name: Frion Wanderis (Main Team)
Age: 19
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Style: Very good defensively, very good dribbler, decent passer.
Bio: Frion Wanderis is a very good in important areas of the midfield, specially on a defensive point of view, the bad thing is he's a bit selfish, and that's not very good for a CDM.

CDM:
Name: Setulpá Meustunus
Age: 32
Team: Ñandfe FC
Style: Defensive minded
Bio: Setulpá is Wanderis' shadow, even though he has much more experience, he's just half as good as Wanderis in everything and he probably won't enter on any match this WC.

CM:
Name: Yurpá Mêndêlöíndçêl (Main Team)
Age: 17
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Style: VERY energetic, decent when it comes to technique and superb defensively.
Bio: Yurpá is the most promising player here. He's not good with the ball, but he's a ball-recovering machine. He was named most promising young player by the Farfadillis commitee.

CAM:
Name: Matí O'rosso (Main Team)
Age: 19
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Style: Fast-paced, agile, playmaker
Bio: Probably the best player on the team. He's the centre of every attack and can assist from very difficult positions. His weak point is dribbling, as he's used to pass the ball as soon as possible since he started playing football. He's very passive and never complains to the referee. His free kicks are almost impossible to stop.

RM:
Name: Ñó Minduruguatzel (Main Team)
Age: 29
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Style: Very aggresive, very good long shooting
Bio: Nó is a very aggresive, physically superb player who has a very bad temper. He debuted for the national team at the age of 27, something that surprised everyone and was questioned a lot, until he started scoring from very long distances, and everyone started liking him

ST:
Name: Fabrifé Numbá (Main Team)
Age: 27
Team: Tympú AC
Style: Fast, precise striker
Bio: An incredibly fast and very lethal finisher. Used to compete on athletism until, at the age of 16, his uncle persuaded him to compete on football instead, he did keep his athletic treats though, something easily noticeable. Currently plays on Tympú AC, where he has won 2 Aderisia Champions League already. By the way, his uncle is the manager and his cousin the assistant.

ST:
Name: Neguimbelefra Fragreda (Main Team)
Age: 26
Team: Feardallis' Wanderers
Style: Slow poacher
Bio: Neguimbelefra is VERY slow, and often has troubles with the offside law, but he's a superb poacher and makes up for it completely. He's one of the best players technically speaking.

ST:
Name: Septimus Johans
Age: 17
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Style: Finisher
Bio: Septimus is Farfadillis' future striker, currently, Fragreda and Numbá are on perfect form so he's not getting a chance, but everyone has put their eyes on this young striker, being known for being "the perfect finisher".

Starting Line-up:
---------------------Numbá-----------------------------Fragreda-----------------------
-----------------------------------------O'rosso-----------------------------------------------
-Bujkanovic--------------Mêndêlöíndçêl-------------------------Minduruguatzel-
---------------------------------------------------Wanderis-------------------------------------
-Greffe-------------------------------Saindí----------------------------------------Frêndê--
---------------------------------------Lisdiren--------------------------------------------------

The Allamunnic States' National Soccer Team
Nickname: Regulars
Style Modifier: +1.5
Coach: Wilhelm Schroeder (Age: 51)
Base Formation: 4-3-3 (4 Strikers, 3 Midfielders, 3 Backfielders)

Kit:

RP Permission:
Please, TG before doing anything but scorers or game-ending injuries. Injuries outside of game-ending for a player are determined by myself. If you're going to godmod events, make sure it doesn't violate any of the above rules. TG me just to be safe with those. Don't do any penalizing worse than yellow cards without permission, please.
.
Also, if you godmod an event of any kind, by all means, have fun with it, but please keep in mind other permissions apply (such as injuries and the like).

OOC Please Note: The official name of the nation is the Allamunnic States. The demonym is Allamunnic. The term "Fanboyist" is considered IC'ly to be rather offensive, and I will treat it as such in RP. OOC'ly, I don't really care if you use it, but be aware of what the IC reaction will be. I will try not to come across as jumping down anybody's throat. Any perceived IC rudeness is not meant as OOC'ly, as well.

Team Overview: A new offensive focus brought by new head coach Wilhelm Schroeder should allow an Allamunnic team that finished 8-4-4 in their last outing at the 58th World Cup, falling just short of qualification, to stand a real chance of qualifying for the World Cup proper. With players that indicate a not-inconsequential level of talent and typical Allamunnic discipline and physical play, qualifying may be a realistic goal this time around (World Cup 60), especially if the team can pull together and continue the physical play that Allamunnic teams are well-known for, and can keep a new-found intensity from their training camp going strong.

The Allamunnic soccer team's best finish to date remains a 10-1-5 campaign back in World Cup 57, where they were one play-off game short of qualifying.

Players:

Goalkeeper
#08 - Leopyld Hulms - (21; 5'10"; 201lbs, STARTING GOALKEEPER) - Leo was effective, if not exactly in the top tier of goal-keepers in the Regulars' last go-round. In all fairness to the man, he's only 21 and is gaining experience ; he might be able to do a little more for the team this year, especially if he isn't left to win games all the time through net-minding heroics.

#07 - Tara Hassan - (19; 5'6"; 134lbs, Reserve Goalkeeper) - Tara, Hulms' understudy, has a certain amount of natural talent. Her lack of experience against a high level of opponents means that there isn't a good indication of how good or bad she is, so she serves as a reserve until the actual extent of her talents can be determined.

Backfielders

#35 - Honorius Haaldunn - (23; 6'3"; 230lbs, STARTING RIGHT BACKFIELDER) - Honorius is easily the largest player on the team. He's another part of the unit that can be used against teams that the Thunder want to grind-out or simply ball-hog against to kill time and prevent scoring. As large as he is, he can play exceedingly physically, and can be used to buy time or provide an anchor for the rest of the defense or ball-possessing players.

#32 - Daniel Otto - (22; 6'1"; 224lbs, STARTER, CENTER BACKFIELDER) - Otto is the large and reasonably athletic anchor for the defensive backfield, capable of crowding and creating jams in the middle to prevent easy scoring opportunities for opponents and to make himself ideally-suited to force turnovers to get the Regulars' offense moving again and to take the pressure off the defense.

#33 - Theodur Arnstadt - (24; 6'1"; 229lbs, STARTING LEFT BACKFIELDER) - Theo is a larger player who provides a greater measure of physicality that is available to the Thunder's backfield and defensive play. Arndstadt, like much of the team, is a little short on experience. That said, he's got plenty of talent and physicality, and is more than sufficient to kill clock and control the ball, primarily to help the midfielders in this primary aspect of their game.

#34 - Selyn Jordan - (21; 5'6"; 146lbs, Right Backfielder) - Selyn is one of the backfield's available finesse players, who can be used to help press the attack quickly to help capitalize on turnovers. Selyn is a faster player who, like much of the team, lacks experience. She'll mostly rotate, since the team's manager doesn't think she's ready to start or take on heavy play duties yet.

#51 - Zack Riley - (23; 6'0"; 230lbs, Right Backfield) - Riley is another versatile midfielder who can be used either as an additional ball-controller or as an attacker in the team's midfielder-based attack. Riley's relatively experienced by this team's standards, with a mix of finesse and physicality. Riley's skill makes him a player likely to be rotated in.

#11 - Lily Stokes - (26; 5'6"; 145lbs, Right Midfielder) - Lily is a generally fast, versatile, attacking and goal-shooting centerfielder, rather than one geared towards ball-control. She's more likely to help keep the ball moving, play defense, or move the ball around in the center-field to the strikers, or to help set up attacks and other plays with the strikers or other centerfielders.

Centerfielders

#41 - Erik Drakarr - (23; 6'0"; 216lbs, STARTER, LEFT MIDFIELDER) - Erik is a physical player who helps contribute to the Blue's control of centerfield. He's got a little more in the way of finesse, but he's still inexperienced, and still learning. He's useful for setting up plays with the strikers and other midfielders, or for burning time playing keep-away with the other team, either through passing (which he's quite good with), or simple physicality (which he can also do just fine).

#21 - Ryan Carlson - (22; 6'1"; 221lbs, STARTER, CENTER MIDFIELDER) - Carlsson is a younger, power-oriented player who's another good anchoring member of the center-field. He's more likely to act as a more passive anchor for the centerfielders to work around, and to work with the backfielders and strikers, while leaving more of the pressing to the more experienced and aggressive Brom. Carlson is less experenced, hence his lack of aggressiveness.

#31 - Izaak Brom - (28; 6'2"; 217lbs, STARTER, RIGHT MIDFIELDER) - Izaak is a more-experienced power-oriented player who acts partially as a mid-field anchor and partially to help press the attack. His size allows him to anchor any attacks or plays, and to play physically and help control the middle of the field. He's got more than a little passing talent, which is useful for ball-control. For his realitive conservative play, Brom seems to have a certain amount of big-play potential, and will hopefully remain a key part of the team for years to come.

#71 - Theo Brom - (19; 5'11"; 236lbs, Right Outside Centerfield) - Brom is a powerful player who can kick powerful shots on goal, and can be used to control the ball. His inexperience is a slight liability, but given a year or two, he should be able to be integrated fully into the team's midfielder-heavy approach rather than as a simple substitute.

#36 - Olson Parmele - (24; 6'0"; 235lbs, Center Backfielder) - Parmele is a truely versatile player; large enough to be physical, experienced enough (five years or so in the domestic league) to have learned plenty, and with enough finesse to be a major threat downfield or to keep the ball away from the opponent, even to help press the attack to quickly capitalize off of turnovers.

#81 - Kyl Haalmund - (23; 6'1"; 240lbs, Left Inside Centerfield) - Haalmund is a big-play potential player. He's young, already a three-year veteran of the domestic league willing to join the national team full-time, and with plenty of big-play potential, versatility, and talent and unfulfilled potential a-plenty. Given a year or two to develop, it's easy to think he might be able to take a starting spot on the team.

#61 - Chloe Sharpes - (22; 5'7"; 151lbs, Left Outside Centerfield) - Sharpes is a finesse-geared player who will probably be used primarily to add to an attack or to keep the ball moving downfield rather than simply control it. Sharpes can shoot sufficiently that she is a threat on attack, who can be inserted in different packages to add potency to the Blue's attack.

Strikers

#27 - Derrik Carlson - (20; 6'2"; 234lbs, STARTER, LEFT FORWARD) - Derrik is midfielder Ryan Carlson's younger brother. Derrik is a versatile forward who can shoot accurately and powerfully on goal, and is quite useful for setting up plays for other strikers. His main disadvantage is inexperience and a tendency to fold in high-pressure situations. However, there are high hopes for Carlson, and an expectation that both of these can be overcome by simply gaining experience.

#24 - Mike Tesla - (25; 6'1"; 219lbs, STARTER, LEFT INSIDE FORWARD) - Tesla is a solid, reliable striker, who can make good, safe shots on the goal, with a reasonable amount of success. His other strength lies primarily in his ability to set up plays for other, more explosive strikers, and to tie down defenders and control the field. His ability to mix power with speed makes him dangerous, along with his lack of 'star-power' means that he's able to catch people on surprise.

#23 - John Horst - (27; 6'0"; 220lbs, STARTER, RIGHT INSIDE FORWARD) - John plays as an anchor in the middle of the field with the strikers, and is more than capable of making some excellent shots on goal. That said, his main contribution is his physicality which lets him keep control of the middle of the field, and set up shots on goal for other players, even if he's capable of taking them himself as well.

#22 - Derrik Leifsson - (22; 6'1"; 220lbs, STARTER, RIGHT FORWARD) - Derrik is as close as the team has to an actual star these days with the drought of players brought on by the institution of the volunteer system to the national team. He has the natural talent, play-making ability, physicality and finesse to be a true super-star and to play at the level of many of the world's elite players. That is, if he can play properly with the rest of his team.

#25 - Kelly Horst - (19; 5'4"; 130lbs, Right Forward) - Kelly is John Horst's younger sister. Kelly is a finesse-geared striker who specializes in making quick, accurate shots. Alas, there's usually not loads of speed on said shots, so there's reason to think she's not terribly effective at the moment. This can probably be owed to slight flaws in her fundamental form, which will, given her inexperience, probably be corrected as she plays and gains experience.

#26 - Hendrik Kristholm - (23; 5'10"; 226lbs, Left Forward) - Hendrik is a more power-oriented stiker; he's useful for keeping the ball around and push the ball around to set up plays and shots for other players. Hendrik is also good for ball control and supporting the other strikers. His own shots tend to be more powerful, but less accurate.

#28 - Kristina DePaul - (19; 5'6"; 144lbs, Center Forward) - Kristina is a finesse-geared striker, who shoots accurately and quickly (not so much powerfully) and requires little to no set-up before shooting, and she has a knack for getting the ball into the goal, somehow, some way. Kristina, however, isn't so good with ball control, which is a liability on this squad.

Who the Hell are Audioslavia?
Audioslavia are the reigning AOCAF champions and winners of the last Baptism of Fire tournament. We are, however, an ancient nation that has been around the football scene for centuries. Audioslavia participated in World Cups 4 to 29, made an abortive comeback in World Cup 37 and, as puppet Silexhera, entered World Cups 46 to 49.

Ten Things Audioslavia's football team are famous for:
1: The claret and green striped kits, complete with white pinstripe. They have been like this, with the odd exception, since World Cup 4.
2: Jeremy Jaffacake. The indescribable Jaffacake has been a satellite of the national team - both as sports journalist and member of the FFA - since World Cup 6. It is unwise to cross Jeremy Jaffacake. In fact, it's often unwise to even look at him.
3: Choking in major finals. Audioslavia are the record holders for losing the most amount of World Cup finals, in WCs 12, 19, 20 and 29. We've also lost a few minor-tournament finals.
4: Being unbeatable in semi-finals. Audioslavia's senior side are yet to lose a semi-final in any type of competition. We'd like to think that this makes up for our lack of wins in finals, but it doesn't.
5: Dour, uninspired football. The Bulls like to pretend that they are a 'counterattacking' team, but in reality their play is merely boring, dire and defensive. They're prone to scoring goals late in games against tiring, jaded opponents, utilising a natural stamina and speed that makes up for the average Audioslavian player's lack of physical strength, technique and passing game.
6: A fervent, yet well-behaved support. Audioslavia's fans are generally friendly, enjoy mixing with the locals and are partial to the odd litre of whisky.
7: Building rivalries: Audioslavia count, and have counted, a lot of nations as their 'rivals'. They are, in order of healthiest to most hated: Lemmitania, Karditan, New Montreal States, Halfassedstates, Iansisle, Vilita/Turori, Bedistan, Squornshelous, Rejistania, Total n Utter Insanity, Krytenia U19s, Krytenia U21s, Krytenia 'C'. Krytenia 'B', Them. (Notable exceptions: Starblaydia ('the enemy of mine enemy is a team we've never played very often'), Armed Bears/Bears Armed ('caused Silexhera and Audioslavia all sorts of problems in the past, but are too cute to be hated'), Dorian and Sonya ('you can't hate someone you pretty much have the measure of, and we know for a fact they're about five foot two'), Liverpool England ('good Audioslavian teams have beaten bad LivEng/Liventian teams. Good Liv teams have beaten bad Audioslavia teams. We've played each other plenty of times, but never with too much needle'.))
8: Audioslavia have had, throughout their history, a disproportionate amount of wingers with names beginning with 'J'.
9: Audioslavia are the first and only team to have been eliminated from the group stage of a World Cup on penalties.
10: Words. And lots of them

Audioslavian footballers tend to be a little on the small side, compared to modern NS athletes. The average height for a goalkeeper or a defender is around 6'0, 5'7 for a full-back, 5'10 for a midfielder and 5'9 for a striker (although the 'target-man' style strikers tend to be nearer 6'0). All of Audioslavia's players, throughout history, have been human and male. Our players tend to be fairly quick with a lot of stamina and physical fitness. Our passing, positional play, tactical knowledge and general technique is fairly poor, although this is often counter-balanced by the input of foreign managers and/or nationalised foreign footballers. Audioslavians tend to be good with the ball in the air, although the lack of tall players renders this talent somewhat redundant in international play, and the general lack of size means that it's possible to bully the midfield off the ball if your team as enough big players. For this reason, Audioslavian squads tend to include an 'enforcer' to counteract any rough play.

Home Away Third

Manager
Seydiya At’rod’uin (Andossa Se Mitrin Vega) (F)
Age: 33
A young Vegan who seems a brilliant tactician after her first two campaigns in charge, taking the Marauders back to the Semifinals and then the Quarterfinals. The youngest person to have ever filled a role in the Vanorian national team system, she was been appointed manager after the Pocoan Sloan's failure to get to the quaterfinal stage in back to back tournaments. The pressure is on her now to get the Marauders back to the Semifinal stage at the very least or face the prospect of being sacked.

Assistant Manager
Clin Massai
Age: 10, 798
The mind behind Hondo FC's rise to power, he is another one of the assistants who plays mediator between the manager and the staff.

Keeper

Veryasirion Dart, Raynor City United
1 GK
Age - 670
Sex - M
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 181lbs
The back up who has finally been given a chance to show that his success at the domestic level is no fluke.

Defenders

2 Ainglad Gwavaul, Ousevale Borough (Krytenia) ~
Age - 654
Sex - M
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 140 lbs
A hybrid defender who can play as a wingback or a full back. One of the more aggressive defenders to make it on the team and will take chances to go up the flank and use his exceptional crossing ability to generate attacking opportunities.

3 Amonron Eleneth, AC Valanari
Age - 678
Sex - M
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 171 lbs
Quick for his size, Eleneth is the prototypical centerback who stymies any and every foray opposition bring into the box.

4 Thankanion Elenelwa, Mar Sara FC
Age - 614
Sex - M
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 180 lbs
A strong and physical presence that will put some bite into the backline alongside Titenburg.

Midfield

21 Espy va Drake, Yuba United (Paripana)
Age: 731
Sex - M
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 159 lbs
After becoming a folklore hero for the lower class of the world, va Drake has made himself one of the living legends of the game after help leading the side to a title in World Cup 53. He has traveled far and wide while plying his trade, donning kits for no less than four countries clubs, and finally returned him when he signed with United before last season. Seen as the driving force in the middle of the park alongside Hawk, it is up to the opposition to try and figure out how to deal with the brilliance the winger and his other attackers have rather than them to create magic.

6 Aintôrthea Durosa, Cafundó do Juta (Cafundeu)
Age - 740
Sex - F
Height: 5"10"
Weight: 144 lbs
Durosa is one of those players that can play just about any position, as her skill set is vast and adequate in multiple areas. She has done exceptionally well in her CMSC seasons, nabbing goals and assists with regularity and has continued with her transfer to the Cafundeu league. Her good knowledge of va Drake's typical playing patterns has made the two to be a devastating pair for the opposition to contain.

14 Laborious Hawk, Petardos S/A (Cafundeu)
Age - 695
Sex -M
Height: 6'5"
Weight: 213 lbs
Words do not even began to define his talent, his talent defines words. He was awarded one of the spots that the Vanorians have in the World Cup Hall of Fame, with it being very well deserved, as he has and continues to earn everything he has been given every single day.

8 Morronuth Neltanta, Wexax United ~
Age - 726
Sex - M
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 164 lbs
A strong and physical player who uses his body well when shielding off opposing players off the ball. Lacks the pace of some of the squad but is great at keeping possession and finding an outlet pass.

28 Faeron Soldarian, Raynor City United
Age - 609
Sex - M
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 163 lbs
Soldarian continues to live in the shadow of more well known players both on the national team and with his club. Despite this, Soldarian is seen by all on the squad as the emotional leader and the linchpin the in the middle that allows the more attacking minded midfielders being allowed to play their game.

Strikers

9 Allandren Fresco, Petardos S/A (Cafundeu)
Age - 484
Sex - M
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 167 lbs
Fresco has proved once again that he is suited for any role that his managers wish to give him, easily adjusting to Hearts style of play and learning his preferred moves. A great shot and football IQ make him a very dangerous attacker for the Marauders.

10 Tûrin Aerataur, Hondo FC ~
Age - 760
Sex - M
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 156 lbs
Long has he been Hearts strike partner at Hondo, now he replaces the legendary striker on the national team and will look to make use of his dynamic shot to keep the sting of the Vanorian attack strong.

Selección Tropicaña de Fútbol
The Tropican National Football Team

Information: Although a Tropican Football Federation (FFT) has existed since the mid-90s, El Gran Tropico has not fielded a national football team until World Cup 60. For its inaugural World Cup qualifying run, the Tropican National Team will field 18 players, representing 11 of the 12 clubs governed by the FFT. The team will be coached by Gabriel Alonso Bojékio, the longtime coach of C.F. Fátima and led by team captain and fellow F.C. Fátima veteran Luís Miguel Cruz. Thanks to the team's distinctive gold waistbands, the team is affectionately know as Lost Oritos to some fans.

Formation: Coach Bojékio intends to use a 3-1-2-1-3 formation known Diamantes Tropicaños (Tropican Diamonds). This formation is a development of the 4-3-3 formation, created by Bojékio's C.F. Fátima and other Tropican clubs in the early 2000s to provide a more flexible formation and to take advantage of some players' exceptional athleticism. The 3-1-2-1-3 formation was developed by exchanging one of the 4-3-3 formation's center-backs with a more athletic sweeper, who plays forward, close to the midfield, and by moving the center midfielder forward as an attacking midfielder. Depending on the situation, the sweeper can play well into the midfield, or fall back on defense, while the attacking midfielder can be employed either in the midfield or as an extra striker. By shifting these players around, the 3-1-2-1-3 formation can quickly shift to 4-3-3, 3-4-3, 3-3-4, or 4-2-4 formations, providing a great deal of options for a skilled coach. However, constant shifting to and from the midfield can be taxing on the sweeper and attacking midfielder positions, requiring these players to be of the highest caliber.

Silver Beach Roster for World Cup 60
Also known as the Silverian Grizzlies. Home uniforms are all white, away are all blue, have alternate uniforms that have a red shirt and white shorts. Goalie uniform is red, except has a blue alternate uniform and a purple alternate uniform.

Goalkeeper: Cameron Tabanou #7 age 29.
Cameron Tabanou is the longtime goalkeeper of the Silverian national team. Monsieur Tabanou is also the only player on the national team who is not a natural-born citizen of Silver Beach, since he was actually born in the North African Empire. After moving to Silver Beach at the age of 8, he's been playing soccer ever since, and grew into a great height for a goalkeeper, as he is 6 foot 3 inches tall, and weighs 217 pounds. He was supposed to be a star prospect, though he's turned out to be an OK goalkeeper at best. He's been in multiple World Cup Qualifiers, and Cup of Harmonies as well, but has been known to not direct his defense well.

Center Back: Matthew Meske #21 age 29
Matthew Meske is playing in his first World Cup, with the retirement of long-time stalwart Joseph Givens. This is part of the 2nd generation of Silverian soccer players, with the likes of Givens retiring after the Cup of Harmony 49, which was Silver Beach's last Cup of Harmony, and Noah Gillespie retiring then as well. He's a tall defender at 6 foot 1 inch, and he has muscle at 229 pounds, but he has no speed on him. He's good in the air for defending corners, but he is slow, which is why he plays in the center, and plays a little forward to make Christopher Muhumuza a de facto sweeper back. He is the provisional starter, but bench people like McFiller are gunning for his spot.

Center Back: Christopher Muhumuza #27 age 30
The anchor of the back four, Christopher Muhumuza is the best defender on the squad, and the de facto sweeper back for the team. He is more of the opposite of Matthew Meske, which makes them a great combo. He's smaller, coming in at 5 foot 9 inches, and weighing 184 pounds, but he has great speed, running a 4.43 40 yard dash and great stamina as well, with a 4:56 mile time, by far the fastest on the national team. He's fantastic on the ground in one v one situations, and good at clearing the ball. He is very injury-prone however, and even though he won't get outrun, he can get outmuscled in the air.

Left Back: Bob Wilson #31 age 33 vice-captain of the squad
Bob Wilson is an experienced left back, definitely the most experienced of the back line, and arguably the most experienced player on the national team. The vice-captain, a few years younger than Givens and Gillespie, decided not to retire, but will retire after this World Cup. Bob Wilson is experienced, and is the leader of the back 4. The glue, he has speed on the outside, which helps people not carry the ball up the left side. This is a strong point of the Silverian back line. Bob Wilson will look to go forward a little too much in attack however, which has often left his side of the field open for a team that likes to counter-attack.

Right Back: Joe Cornell #29 age 33
An older defender, this world cup will most likely be his own swan song as well, which means both outside spots will be open for World Cup 61 qualification. Joe Cornell is somebody who is the weakest defender on the team, but very skilled in one v one situations, almost never getting beat. Cornell is slower, so teams like to attack up his side of the alley. He gets lots of deflections on the ball, and has been called for his fair share of handballs. Joe Cornell is improving however, but his age is definitely catching up with him.

Central Midfielder: James Miller #18 age 32
James Miller, a former star of the U-21 team for the Kingdom of Silver Beach, is now an older midfielder. A stalwart, he says this won't be his last world cup qualification stage, though this is one of his last. James Miller has been known as more of a defensive minded midfielder, being the first back to help, and the last of the midfielders on the attack. He is almost never in the box, though the coach has announced in this World Cup he will take the corner kicks from both sides, as he can get in his crosses from a stand still. When they are on the attacking side of the field, but not in range for shooting at the net, he'll usually take a free kick and get it high into the box. He's a better defender than attacker, but has great possesion skills to let him play midfield.

Right Midfielder: Isaiah Usbeh #12 age 30
This will be Isaiah's 2nd World Cup qualification stage, and Usbeh is growing into himself on the right. He is known to have stamina, as his father played until he was 38 years old, so Usbeh has a few years left in him. Isaiah Usbeh is a speedy midfielder on the right, and much more forward oriented than his counterpart on the left, Alexis Bosbic. He plays with a lot of energy, and sends in crosses while on the run. Isaiah Usbeh plays a little too emphatically, as he leads the Premier League in yellow cards, and is known to let his emotions control him. He tries to not do that, but he is usually the first to be subbed out so he doesn't get red cards, and so he doesn't get angry and go for obvious fouls at the other team.

Left Midfielder: Alexis Bosbic #28 age 27
Although Alexis is the more defensive oriented of the two outside midfielders, he still goes on the attack more often than not, and is a stalwart on the outside. A good prospect, he has blossomed, and he is known to send in beautiful crosses towards the middle of the field. Alexis Bosbic plays with control, and has a powerful foot, though he often sends the ball over the crossbar and into the 10th row. The left winger uses his speed to his advantage, though now sends his crosses earlier to make up for his big foot that he sometimes cannot control. The left winger is known for leading counter attacks, bringing the ball up the field and sending through balls to his strikers.

Central Attacking Midfielder: Samuel Brown #10 age 31
The attacking midfielder, Samuel Brown is not very talented at defense, though is a good attacking midfielder. Usually the man creating the goals, Samuel Brown finds people in open places who can make sure the ball lands in the bank of the net, rather than heading the other way. He takes the free kicks for this team when they are in range, and when they go short on corner kicks, he is around the top of the box to aim a one timer towards the net. He has a beautiful shot, and he leads the Silverian attack. Samuel Brown says he has at least two more World Cups in him, as he hasn't been really effected by aging, or it hasn't shown. When the team is down, he plays very energetically, though has been known to lose the ball which leads to counter attacks for the other side.

Central Striker: Jacob Jenkins #2 age 34. Captain of the squad
Regarded as the best player in Silverian history(not very storied however), Jacob Jenkins is a stalwart on the national team. Having well over 100 caps, he is looking to get his record-setting 137th cap in international play for the Silverians in his 7th game of the qualifiers, which would be the most ever for a Silverian player. He is the best player on the squad, and the real leader of the team. Finally a captain, Jacob Jenkins is undecided on whether this is his swan song or not, though it is suspected that he'll retire after a successful run, maybe knockout stages in the Cup of Harmony or something. He is the all-around package- he can shoot the ball and head the ball, and takes the team's penalties. His one knock is that he is slow, though makes up for it with his 6'1 213 pound frame. He scores the majority of the team's goals, and is their definite leader on and off the field, which is finally why he'll wear the yellow armband in this stage of qualification.

Right Forward: Alejandro Romano #01 age 27.
A team star, he is looking to overtake Jacob Jenkins as the team's leading goal scorer, though has not quite got the ability to do that just yet. He is very small, coming in at 5 feet 8 inches tall, and a mere 174 pounds. Romano is very fast however, and has the ability to create play in space. In the open field, he is the most dangerous player on the team, whether he has the ball or not, due to his ability to make runs. His knock is that he does not pass the ball nearly enough as he should, and Jenkins has failed to instill that trait in him. Alejandro Romano, a first-generation Silverian, is the type of player who want to build your team around, though has a massive personality. Romano is a potential star, but until he learns to share the ball, he will never blossom into his full potential.

Manager: Isaac White, age 71.
Isaac White is technically an old man, though he is the permanent manager of the team. His first world cup, he has seen success managing in the National Games, where he led Lulika City to two gold medals and one silver medal. He is known as a good manager, though he focuses more on development than anything else. His tactics won't blow you away, though they say he backs into defensive formations too much after a lead which will destroy the flow of the Silverian Grizzlies.

Assistant Coach: Barry Yidel, age 58.

BP's World Cup Roster

For the BoF and WC60 I will be having players made of water, fire, earth and air. The Goalkeeper is air so he can save the ball really fast. The Defenders are Rock because they are the defence. The Midfielders are water because they can move around anywhere. The Forward is fire because it can go really fast and can spread itself. The Staff are Samurais because they had the skill of helping and the fans are the swords for the Samurais because they keep on supporting the team.

Manager: Matthew Johnstone(age 33)
Matthew is the all time manager of Boring Paradise’s best team, Bartholomew FC and for the national team. He has won lots of titles in the past as a football player

Assistant Manager: Andrew Whitehouse (age 36)
Has been helping Bartholomew FC in the league season and national seasons

Coach: Haider Williams (age 23)
Haider Williams has great sense of tactics but unfortunately he was enable to play for 3 months after his injury in the league cup final against Drafters United at Bartholomew City Arena.

Assistant Coach and Team Blogger: Raiyaan McCloud (age 37)
Raiyaan McCloud has big expectations in the matches. And has done many blogs for the matches afterwards

Jeru FC Roster

"The Cannons"

Formation: 3-4-3
Style Modifier: +3

Coach: Karra Caroline Thunder

(Jeru FC WC57 and 58 coach)

She’s legally a member of one of the Bears’ clans but biologically human: Her father, our national team’s first manager, was adopted into the clan (and thus into the nation) shortly after he’d led the Belles not only to BoF victory but also to World Cup qualification at their first attempt, so she grew up in a strongly football-oriented background, and she’s also got experience as a deputy manager of the Belles (under Marra SunDaughter, not under her own father) under her belt…

Assistant Coach: Princess Sofia Michelle Dallas of Jeruselem

All girls are daughters of serving army personnel.

GK (F,22) - Rosie Cheeks - Prone to blushing a lot
GK (F,22) - Liddle Skank - Loves a good time without her clothes on

DEF (F,22) - Sofia Pascal - Her hero is Princess Sofia Michelle Dallas.
DEF (F,22) - Penny Game - Loves to take to naughty dares
DEF (F,22) - Reece Bath - Likes getting wet, alot.
DEF (F,22) - Allison Katson - AKA AllyKat. Likes Cats.
DEF (F,22) - Rachel Funk - Guitar hero champ
DEF (F,22) - Carrie Buds - Always seems to get caught without clothes on in funny places.

MID (F,22) - Bryci Cake - Resident flasher
MID (F,22) - Felicia Day - Looks a bit like actress Felicia Day
MID (F,22) - Jayden Jaffer - Resident bad tempered redhead.
MID (F,22) - Jennifer Avens - Talks too much to annoyance of others.
MID (F,22) - Sasha Saints - The dirtiest girl in the team but talent compared to Dazza herself.

STR (F,22) - Leigh Brighton - Likes to pick fights with other girls
STR (F,22) - Amy Brown - Trigger happy bitch
STR (F,22) - Ariel Luppins - A nude day at the beach surfing is the ideal day.
STR (F,22) - Gabrielle Richards - Loves her whiskey, bottles of it.

STYLE adjusted to +2

Choose my goalscorers YES
Godmod anything NO
RP injuries to my players YES within reason
Godmod anything STILL NO but I will gleefully abide 0-1 major (game-affecting) earthquakes per WC (not even that unrealistic, earthquakes are frequent but usually aren't serious enough to be noticed...usually)
Issue yellow/red cards to my players YES as much as you want
Pick my manager FWUH?!? - Rotating player-manager seat, players stand for elections with a 1-game term infinitely renewable. You can have my player-manager from the last game manage this game too, or you can choose from my roster - I left out their ages and experience, so you have a lot of freedom to write your own story here. Any of the domestic league players invited as members of the coaching staff can stand for manager too, appointing a replacement if necessary.
Pick my home stadium NO - Notice the new (Jun 2) stadium schedule at the bottom of this post.

Starters in bold
Formation: El Metodo Califas "The Califas Method" (rotating, improvisational 4-2-4)
In El Metodo, there are no midfielders as such, at least when the opening whistle blows. Two halfbacks line up well behind the four forwards, starting in a a "4-2-0-4". From this position, they pack the defensive half and lob deep bombs to Califan forwards, who are always trying to overwhelm the penalty box and lay siege to the enemy goal. Both halfbacks are expected to drop into fullback position, or push up to midfield or forward level, when necessary. However, Godvin Nes has more of an attacking mentality while Haidou Zhongyuan often drops into defense, also kicking set pieces and some corners. The left and right strikers, Robertsen and Guttman, are expected to drop back into a 4-2-1-3 or 4-2-2-2 to trap counterattacks, fortify the midfield and keep opponents on their toes. Speedy substitute WF Cao Dong also drifts back into the midfield and even halfback positions, as well as aggressively contesting corners and set pieces.

Thus, El Metodo shifts rapidly between: 4-2-4, 4-3-3, 4-4-2, 5-2-3, 5-3-2, 6-2-2

Goalkeeping coach: Zlato Cokan, Chula Vista goalkeeper (.895 GAA)
Attackers coach: Agun Stokke, Bakersfield attacking midfielder (3 G, 12 A)
Defenders coach: Artis Pariseau, Bakersfield center back
Executive assistant coach: Jorja Hickey, Thousand Oaks assistant coach

San Diego City is the seat of its eponymous county, and the "second city" of South Califas, with a real-life population of over 2 million. It was built up with military defense in mind and its economy is dominated by military manufacture/housing, tourism and biotechnology. Its warm Mediterranean climate is mild, rain is rare and snow falls once every 20 years for a couple of hours, so football is played year round. Image
Thousand Oaks, Ventura County is suitably full of oaks. Near the Los Angeles county line, 1KO is a telecommunications, aerospace, automotive and medical technology center of SoCal and home to the historic California Lutheran University Image

San Luis Obispo is the seat of its eponymous county, adjacent to Califas Polytechnic University ("Cal Poly") and 11 miles in from the Pacific Ocean with a cool Mediterranean climate, near a number of active seismic faults. Its economy is completely dominated by the university, healthcare and the resultant inward services. Completely awesome panorama pic that you must see whether you've been to SLO or not.
Encinitas, San Diego County is a coastal town 25 mi/40 km north of San Diego City where economic activity is dominated by the arts, the production of surfer culture and the cultivation of ornamental flowers, especially poinsettias. Surfing and cannabis are even more extraordinarily popular here than elsewhere in South Califas. Image shows Moonlight Beach, Historic Coast Highway 101 and International Highway 5. Image

NOTE: The climate in San Diego is the most mild in the former USA states, allowing them to grow a special strain of Bermuda grass at Gaslamp Quarter Stadium, Mission Valley Stadium, and Torero Stadium which can be trimmed much shorter, helping experienced players make sharper cuts while making flimsy footing for spikes if you haven't mastered the surface.

THE HOLY EMPIRE WC 60 SQUAD

While the nation took a long break between WCs 8 and 24 (inclusive), the Holy Empire is proud to be the last currently active nation to have participated in WC1.

This World Cup, the Holy Empire Football Association is fielding a team of mysterious characters whose connection to each other isn't immediately clear. Many of the squad prefer to go by their nicknames.

OOC'ly, if you recognise the link, you win a special Dreamed Realm cookie; you get no IC prize.

Goal:
Timothy Archer: Apparently was once an unconvential bishop who disappeared in the desert during an investigation into whether magic mushrooms caused the Resurrection; this following a personal crisis brought about by theological and philosophical implications of the newly-discovered Gnostic Zadokite scroll fragments. He may not be saved - but can he save?

Defence:
Palmer Eldritch: You may or may not understand the future actions of Palmer Eldritch before you confront him on the field of play; he may or may not be a hologram; he may or may not get inside you; he may or may not be real.
The Variable Man: Thomas Cole is very good at fixing things - he seems to have some natural genius for it - including the centre of defence.
The Electric Ant: Garson Poole is an organic robot whose reality is being created by a micro-punched tape in his chest cavity; so whether the World Cup really exists, or is simply a construct of Poole's tape, is something Poole isn't sure about.

Midfield:
Dr Bloodmoney: A nuclear physicist who once caused an atomic apocalypse in his universe, Bruno Bluthgeld is subject to paranoia, magical thinking, and megalomania; he may or may not actually have magical powers which he may or may not be able to use during a match.
Tempunaut Addison Doug: A time traveller who's convinced he's participating in an endless trapped loop of repeating World Cup 60; sort of like Groundhog Day without any possibility of moral redemption or hope.
The Galactic Pot Healer [cap]: Joe Fernwright can perfectly mend any item of broken pottery; he is said to be in touch with a race called the Kalends, who are constantly writing a book which foretells the future. The Book of the Kalends is always right.
Agneta Rautavaara: Rautavaara once once human; her body was destroyed in an accident, but the rescue team saved her brain. In WC60, her brain will be encased in a variety of humanoid forms, not necessarily all female.
Tung Chien: A man of Chinese appearance who has become convinced that the ruler of his home country is a mighty god-like hideous alien that feeds on death. Playing football seems to have come as a relief to him.

Forwards:
Hawthorne Abendsen: Hawthorne Abendsen once wrote a famous fictional alternate history book called The Grasshopper Lies Heavy. Except the world in that book was real, and his own world wasn't. And the book was written by the I Ching, and not Abendsen. Abendsen's conception of reality is rather malleable these days - no wonder he joined the Imperial Squad.
Yancy: Is he an enormously skilled and immensely popular footballer known for his folksy - but essentially meaningless - quips and quotes - or an artificial group hivemind construct?

Subs:
GK - Nobusuke Tagomi
DEF - Robert Childan; Hoppy Harrington
MID - Rudolf Wegener; J.R. Isidore
FOR - Roy Baty; Phil Resch

Coaches:

The team coach remains World Cup Hall of Fame legend Juan Tzimisces

The assistant coach is World Cup legend (though not in the Hall of Fame because I'm too lazy to update the Wiki) monosyllabic caveman Ug-Ug.

Usual assistant coach Simeone Di Bradini is not involved with the WC60 squad; he has asked for a temporary leave of absence, which has been granted by HEFA.

The Holy Empire always registers the coaches as players, just in case.

Kit
The squad will wear the famous Imperial Gold and Red, as worn by the Holy Empire since WC1 (home left, change/away right)

Image

Ground
Home matches take place in the jewel-encrusted and gold and platinum-domed Imperial Hippodrome.

Style Modifiers / formation
Frosty football is attacking football. The Holy Empire always plays a 3-5-2 formation using overlapping wingers that turns into 3-3-4 on the counterattack.

OOC'ly, the team uses the maximum attacking style modifier permitted by each cup's hosts.

RP instructions:
With two exceptions described below, knock yourselves out - creative RP is encouraged.

Please remember that the basic rules for travel to the Archregimancy [see relevant roster] also apply to the Holy Empire - you'll need someone to build a portal for you, you can't just fly/walk/drive there. If you want to deal with the malleable reality and non-linear time elements of the Dreamed Realm, and have no prior experience of these, it's probably best to check with me first.

Only I can decide if and when I might choose to field the coaches as players; please don't do this unilaterally.
