The Annihilation and Extermination of Vbingvan [ Semi-Open ]

Postby Milograd » Tue Mar 20, 2012 4:24 pm

OOC: The old thread for this was cluttered and we lost track of it, so I'm splitting it for my campaign against Vbingvan. As always, this was fully discussed OoCly between all participants involved before we went about RPing it, and the nations in question willingly agreed to participate in this war. This isn't a curbstomp or a n00b smash, and all participants have throughly discussed the damages we are willing to take in a cooperative manner.

IC:

The First Dh'arconian Empire of Milograd

The Dh'arconian High Command has become dissatisfied with the recent threats and declarations of war directed at the Milogradian state, and henceforth any and all states that declare hostilities against Milograd shall be immediately subjected to the absolute subjugation of their state and the execution of their entire administration. All foreign, hostile militaries that enter Gholgothic waters shall be annihilated on sight. Interference with our objectives of isolation shall result in the destruction of our opposition.

While the Hivemind Council respects Milograd's desire to be as isolationist as they want to be, rumors of your nation's abuse of basic rights is disturbing, to say the least. This, on top of your threats of war against any nation who so much as speaks to you, has made us come to a decision on what to do about this particular situation.

We will not get involved in this situation if no other nation does. However, for every nation that decides to invade you, we will send one regiment to assist them.

The First Dh'arconian Empire of Milograd

It is with great regret that the Dh'arconian Empire must, at this time, declare the existence of a state of war between it and the entities of Vbingvan et Cylarn. Should the aforesaid nations withdraw their intent to interfere with the objectives of the Empire, then this declaration may or may not be rescinded.

The Empire of Milograd had, for the many weeks prior to this one, been under the spotlight of the entire world for it's oppressive policies and atrocious human rights violations. Nation after nation had taken the initiative to condemn and threaten the Dh'arconian Empire, and eventually the World Assembly itself would condemn the Empire for many of the wrongdoings outlined in the ALC Reports of 2011. Once isolated, and seeking to return to such, Milograd was unexpectedly thrusted onto the international stage by these condemnations, and was forced to relocate its military deployments to prepare for the numerous invasions threatened against it. Irritated by the countless threats, the Dh’arconian High Command had finally decided to take a bold stand against the intervening parties. Vbingvan was to be made an example of.

The MSS Hellbringer II, a near-exact duplicate of the original Hellbringer capital ship, was the “lead ship” of the Western Fleet. The fleet in question was ordered to encroach upon the Vbingvanian nation before launching a coastal bombardment campaign. Milograd’s war plan would eventually call for the capture of naval and aerial dominance in a selected area ( within a desirable range of the Vbingvanian coast ) prior to the deployment of ground forces. Civilian and military installations would be targeted by the Empire’s military, and the administration of Vbingvan, as promised, would be executed in its entirety by Resource Initiative officers. The unquestionable and absolute subjugation of Vbingvan was ultimately the Empire’s goal, and the means and methods of achieving such were to be particularly brutal as to ensure that the Empire’s message was comprehended by all those whom gazed upon it; Milograd was not to be interfered with.

Aboard the Hellbringer II, Admiral Yuuk questioned his subordinates on the status of the Imperial Navy’s deployments and intentions. He was an aging man, and had lead the Western Fleet for nearly a decade. It was his desire, however, to make the fleet’s contributions in the Annihilation of Vbingvan the most profound accomplishment of his career. Skuara, an advisor to Yuuk, then spoke, ”The Imperial Navy has redirected forces from Ludkin, Judea, Xanadou, Tetrakon, and international waters in order to ensure that Atraezan waters are well protected. Briskan fleets have been tagged along for the annihilation campaign, and are to follow our lead to Vbingvan for the majority of our mission. An assault flotilla is currently stationary in the Atraezan, but it’s likely to tag along with us apparently. Well over five hundred ships are expected to participate in the annihilation campaign, or so High Command tells us.”

”I see…” sighed Yuuk, ”Fetch me a copy of the debrief, I lost mine.”

“Of course." responded Skuara. Upon that the meeting between Yuuk, his advisors, and various other MIN admirals concluded, and everyone returned to their other duties. The Hellbringer II continued its gradual journey through the freezing oceans of Gholgoth, and with it followed the many warships of the Milogradian annihilation force.

((OOC: Sorry it took so long, real life came up for a bit.

Since I don't have a map yet, I'll try and describe some of Vbingvan. It is five hundred miles across, from the eastern coast to the western mountains. There are a few port towns on the eastern coast, but most of the Navy is based out of the southern Ikvrian Bay. The capitol is Formathis. From the eastern coast to Formathis, near the center of the continent, is a relatively flat plain. The largest city on the eastern coast is Idrivlik. Other than that, the only major city between the coast and Formathis is Ft. Arkriz, which is also a major military outpost.))

The Hivemind Council regrets that it had to come to this. While we take this declaration of war seriously, we will make no show of aggression unless your nation attacks us first.

To any nations who receive this: Our nation's military is primitive and relatively small. Aid would be greatly appreciated.

The Hivemind Council announced today that the nation of Milograd declared war on Vbingvan over a disagreement over how Milograd's citizens are mistreated. Forces on the eastern and southern coasts are already mobilizing. Civilians in these regions are being advised to evacuate.

Dh'arco Rahavuhra Jukill, upon hearing of Vbingvan's withdrawl, decided that it would be best to humiliate the nation in front of the international community for the sake of discouraging interference with Milogradian initiatives. He figured that the threats of annihilation had resulted in a lesser amount of threats towards Milograd, so further humiliating those who attempted such could not be detrimental.

The nation of Vbingvan would likewise wish to end hostilities with Milograd. Without aid, Vbingvan wouldn't survive an invasion. We have our people to consider. We will not contact Milograd in the future unless they initiate communication.

The Dh'arconian High Command would normally reject this offer of peace, however, for the sake of being inoffensive, the Empire shall accept it. This acceptance will only occur with the condition that every firstborn Vbingvanian child be transported to Milograd for Volcano Sacrifice*. Vbingvan must redeem itself in the eyes of the Dark Gods, and failure to comply with this demand will result in the annihilation of Vbingvan and the extermination of its population.

Even if we were willing to comply with such a demand, which we're not, we wouldn't be able to carry it out. We'd have an all-out rebellion on our hands if we told our entire population to surrender their firstborn children, and that would destroy our nation just as much as if you and your allies invaded.

So flkt no, we won't be complying with that demand. We won't communicate with you again or make any threats of war, but we won't be sending you our firstborn children, either.

If you invade and destroy a nation which is attempting to prevent a war with you, how do you think the international community will react? Because if you're actually trying to be isolationist, I doubt repeated invasions from nations trying to avenge the vbingvani people will help accomplish that goal.

If you invade, we will defend ourselves, but we will take no aggressive action against Milograd otherwise.

It had been over two weeks since the original invasion had been ordered, and it had been over a week since the Vbingvanians had declined the Milogradian compromise. In light of their refusal, the Empire's military would continue as planned - the Western Fleet would continue to lead the Milogradians on their warpath. Dh'arco Rahavuhra Jukill had been informed that the lead fleet had managed to reach the point of being slightly off of Vbingvan's eastern coast, which meant that the Empire could begin the first part of its assault on the nation; bombardment. Vbingvan possessed an infamously feeble navy, therefore Milogradian Naval Assets were rather comfortable with their status of supremacy in their occupied battlespace. Nonetheless, the fleets would continue to actively watch for enemy warships by utilizing AWACS, other aircraft, and radar satellite.

The enemy lacked any submarines; the Imperial Navy assumed that the Vbingvans were also weak in regards to anti-submarine warfare for this reason. Milogradian submarines were scattered throughout the waters to Vbingvan's east; mining operations were being conducted, and preparations to engage any enemy warships were in the process of being arranged aboard the submarines. Submersible deployed special forces were being utilized by the Milogradians in hopes temporarily disabling or jamming Vbingvan's communications - doing so could potentially prevent their inactive SHORAD sites from mobilizing. The crippling of the enemy's SHORAD capabilities would prove itself an essential component of the Milogradian assault plan, for the entire bombardment stage of the operation could be severely weakened if Vbingvan was capable of operating its short range air defense systems to their maximum effectiveness. Any active SHORAD defenses would be addressed with high-speed anti-radiation missiles.

Admiral Yuuk had realized that his plans were about to come to fruition; he now led the largest Milogradian invasion force ever assembled towards an inevitable victory, or so it was assumed. He, like many of his fellow sailors, was exhausted, but sincerely believed that an extermination campaign throughout Vbingvan was within the best interests of the Milogradian state; the state that they had been indoctrinated to adore, praise, and serve by the Resource Initiative's brainwashing operatives. Soldiers were puppets, the Resource Initiative were strings, and the Dh'arco Rahauhra was the grand hand behind the Milogradian death machine. He anxiously awaited his chance to begin his first strikes against Vbingvan, which is why he was pleased upon conversing with Skuara.

Skuara had entered the Admiral's chamber on the Hellbringer II; upon arriving therein he discovered Yuuk perusing over an assortment of maps, diagrams, and documents. The Admiral's chamber was a cramped, uncomfortable room within the Hellbringer II that was approximately the size of your typical hotel room. Carrying a sole report, Skuara gestured for the Admiral's attention before speaking, "Greetings, Admiral. We are now in range to begin our initial assault; we may now target active and inactive SHORAD defenses, and may also begin our coastal bombardment of Vbingvan. This includes all the locations outlined in the debriefing. Special Forces have already infiltrated Vbingvan, and are currently in what have been designated as 'safe areas,' or areas that will not be nears targets of missile fire."

Yuuk smiled. "Excellent, I shall give the order now. Thank you."

"Of course."

Yuuk subsequently grabbed his phone and gave the order to begin "stage one" of the Milogradian Assault. Within minutes, active and inactive enemy SHORAD sites were being engaged, and simultaneously attempts to detect enemy naval assets continued. Missiles were soon being launched at their pre-determined targets, and a vast array of missiles soon flew towards the eastern coast of Vbingvan. Military assets, bases, and facilities were naturally being targeted, yet it was not that which made this operation notable. Missiles soared towards college campuses, hospitals, powerplants, sports arenas, populated cities, Vbingvan's capital, economic centers, bridges, skyscrapers, and ports as well. Milograd intended to exterminate as many civilians as possible, and in doing so the original goal of Dh'arco Rahavuhra's Jukill's extermiantion would be realized - Vbingvan would be made an example.

Terror would arise upon this forsaken nation...subjugation had begun...

VSS Licentia
Off the eastern coast of Vbingvan, 5 miles out from Idrivlik Port
1255 hours – 2/15/12
__________

Vbingvan's Navy was outdated and nearly useless. Ten cruisers, two destroyers, and a single aircraft carrier, all well past their prime. That was all they had managed to "liberate" from the nation they had won their freedom from. Admiral Stzhn knew this, and knew that his, and the Navy's role, would be merely to soften up Milograd's forces before they reached the eastern coast of Vbingvan, which was woefully under-protected.

As the first missiles tore through the air over the fleet, and the fleet returned fire on the Milogradian vessels, most of the crew of these thirteen ships knew they were likely never going to return to Idrivlik.
__________

Meanwhile, all over Vbingvan, firefights broke out between the Milogradian special forces and Vbingvan's Army. The SHORAD batteries, all of which were guarded by Night Watch squads (Vbingvan's special forces), were all kept safe due to the sheer number of soldiers guarding each location. Only one SHORAD battery was lost, the one in Idrivlik.

__________

Idrivlik
__________

Due to the loss of Idrivlik's SHORAD battery, most of the city was leveled. Hundreds of thousands of vbingvani and humans died in the blasts which wracked the once-great city.

That night, in Vbingvan, there was a massive exodus. Vbingban's citizens fled by the millions, ninety-six million to Cylarn, 16 million to the wasteland across the western mountain range and 16 million to an anonymous benefactor (approximately). Over half of Vbingvan's population was out of the country by morning. The remaining 128 million citizens, however, chose to stay behind and aid the Vbingvan Army in defending their homeland. Many were armed with little more than their traditional axswords. If these militia were actually to engage Milogradian forces, they would be slaughtered.

As condemnations, offers of support, declarations of neutrality, and further threats continued to be filed in regards to Milograd, the Dh'arconian High Command collectively pondered how they would address these responses. Various nations of Gholgoth had pledged their support to Milograd, as had former acquaintances such as New Scorpio. The Freeks had chosen to take manners into their own hands by assaulting Dneprdaniya, as had Jagada, while the Ralkovians had also decided upon a similar choice. Despite what the High Command would publicly claim, it was preferable to them that the larger powers of Gholgoth address threats such as Dneprdaniya so that the Empire would not have to. Milograd still had its own issues to address though, that being Vbingvan and the Theocratic Dominion of the Beatus.

Dh'arco Rahavuhra Jukill sighed upon reading the message conveyed to him on behalf of the Theocracy, that of which was penned by Edwardo Listless of Beatus. He was hoping to avoid having to deal with any more interferences, and could not help but wonder why anyone else would interfere with Milograd's objectives -- he had believed that the demonstration against Vbingvan would have proven a point. Perhaps if he made the assault on Vbingvan even more brutal...maybe they would come to their senses then. Milograd, however, did not possess the capabilities to improve upon the brutality being expressed through the Vbingvanian campaign. It then occurred to him that utilizing weapons of terror could potentially achieve what he desired. This begged the question; what weapons?

Milograd had used a large amount of its chemical weapons stockpile during its original end of isolation in 2011, during the Quirinian and Ryouese invasions of Milograd. The most vicious and effective chemical and biological weapons in the Empire's arsenal had, for the most part, been utilized at that time; the weapons had successfully brought terror upon the foreign invaders, and the biological attacks prompted military withdrawal from both invading parties. Without its open weapons, Milograd would be unable to project the fear and power that it wished to. Rumors had swirled around earlier that year that the Empire of the Twin Thrones of Karita had a notably impressive NBC program, that of which controlled some of the more powerful weapons of mass destruction ever to be devised. As one would expect, the program was incredibly secretive and a majority of the aforesaid rumors were responded to as being false by the Karitian government. Jukill had never been convinced that this was the case, and for that reason he would pen the following letter. Unlike a typical message from the Supreme Warlord, this message would be genuinely formal and respectful...

The First Dh'arconian Empire of Milograd

Image

To the esteemed leadership of the Empire of the Twin Thrones,

As your government is likely aware, the Empire of Milograd's goals and desires of isolationism have been interrupted by the wanton interventionists hordes. The World Assembly Security Council has condemned our nation, and as a result, various declarations of war, embargo, and condemnation have been directed towards the Empire. Recognizing that it is the right to any state to exercise their own domestic policies, we cannot help but interpret this reaction as a severe violation of our sovereignty.

Acknowledging this, I, on behalf of the First Dh'arconian Empire of Milograd, would like to inquire as to whether or not your government would be interested in assisting Milograd in its defense against these threats. We recognize the Empire of Twin Throne's impressive military capabilities, and would be more than willing to make assistance worthwhile for Karita.

Dh'arco Rahavuhra Jukill
Supreme Warlord of Milograd

The Dh'arco had not explicitly mentioned the NBC program of the Empire of the Twin Thrones, but he was hopeful that his hint concerning it would be noticed.

( OOC: I was personally hoping that we could RP the stages of naval combat wherein we actually have to search for each other's ships, Vbingvan, but whatever. The exodus you RP'd as having happened should probably take a bit longer too. Also, is there a reason that you guard SHORAD sites with special forces? It seems awfully odd... )

As the fire from the Milogradian warships continued to bombard the eastern coast of Vbingvan, the Imperial Navy failed realize that a mass exodus had occurred in the night, yet bombardment would continue as planned. After merely one day of bombardment, hundreds of thousands of citizens and military personnel had already been reported as having been slaughtered, much to the joy of Admiral Yuut. Videos had recorded skyscrapers and large buldings collapsing in the city of Idrivlik; dust and hellfire consuming the thousands of citizens in the urban areas of the city. Such would be the least of the terror conjured by the Milogradian military by the end of the conflict, however. The Resource Initiative's subjugation of Vbingvanian cities would be, without a doubt, the truly brutal stage of the Milogradian onslaught.

The Vbingvanian navy had engaged the northernmost flotilla of the Milogradian invasion fleet, and such ultimately deterred or disabled at least seven warships from proceeding much further. Milograd's MSS Rushan, the MSS Wamrak, the MSS Yutu, and the MSS Warbringer had taken heavy damages in the initial Vbingvanian naval assault, the latter two capsizing. Thirty minutes after the assault, Milogradian AWACs took note of the location of several warships, that of which were believed to be destroyers and cruisers.

Admiral Yuut was quickly informed of this by Captain Hyran of the MSS Wijra via telephone, "Our airborne early warning and control systems have picked up on the source of the Vbingvanian missile fire. They're approximately 400km outwards, northeast of the Hellbringer's position, Admiral. There may be more within that area, but our systems aren't able to go out much farther than they already have." said Hyran.

"I see. Our part of the fleet is currently occupied with bombardment, so your formation may handle those threats. I can order some further assistance over to your ship if need be." replied Yuut.

"Acknowledged. Much thanks."

"Of course." At that point, Yuut hung up the phone and returned to the Admiral's chambers on board the Hellbringer II. It had participated in the bombardment of the eastern Vbingvanian coast for over twenty four hours, and at this time Yuut concluded that it would now be possible to send in initial Resource Initiative forces. Several optimal landing points had been scoped out by the special forces that had been originally sent into Vbingvan, and with the enemy's SHORAD defenses softened by the bombardment a largescale helicopter landing by Resource Agents was then possible. Amphibious landings would inevitably occur, but until then it was deemed preferable that the Imperial Navy have ground forces already prepared within Vbingvan. The mass exodus, along with the bombardment, would mean that Vbingvanian defenses would likely be thinly spread.

Helicopters carrying the initial Resource Agent deployments took off from their respective carriers later that night, and proceeded to make their way towards the outskirts of Vbingvan's capital. Several hundred helicopters were deployed upon that night, twenty of which were FAH-2 'Vassago' Attack Helicopters, and 80 of which were MY4 Aerial Troop Transports.

Captain Hyran's warship, and the ten other ships in his formation, chose to address the Vbingvanian ships by crossing their T's at bow and firing a large amount of missiles. The warships themselves did not truly have a chance to enter main-gun range, yet they were instructed to act as if they would. Whilst it would normally be absurd to cross the T's of every enemy ship simultaenously, the numerical advantage that the Milogradian Imperial Navy held made it possible in this situation. An interception course had been plotted so that the northern warships would be in gun range when the enemy's T was crossed.

And so the campaign would continue; Day Two...

Empress Miyuki read the missive from the Supreme Warlord of Milograd with a troubled look upon her face. The problem she had was that the answer was both incredibly simple and extraordinarily complex. Yet, the debt of honor Haven, and by extension the Empire, owed Gholgoth and its member nations mandated only one response.

Dear Dh'arco Rahavuhra Jukill,

We are indeed privy to the troubles your nation is subject to of late. Indeed, given Our own lapse in judgement, We am saddened to report that an overeager and well-meaning individual to whom was delegated the task of dealing with the Security Council votes that might interest the Empire voted in the affirmative for the Condemnation. Please understand that this does not reflect Our personal feelings on the matter of your great nation nor does this represent an official statement of policy on Our behalf; it was merely the perhaps inevitable result of delegating usually unimportant tasks to those who could do the least harm and in this respect the error was entirely Ours. Combined with the overwhelming assistance your fair region has provided Haven in opposing Security Council assault against Us, We are left in somewhat of a quandary. Our conventional forces are not mobilized to any great extent and as such not presently able to provide direct support pursuant to your established objective and while the Imperial Special Forces could rapidly arrive and ably support your armed forces in whatever measure they might need, We fear the effort given would not match that which Honor demands of us. Therefor it is Our decision that such Special Weapons as would be needful to aid your cause shall be made available to your military immediately. Furthermore, such support equipment and technicians as might be required to mate Our Special Weapons with your delivery devices shall similarly be made available without reservation. Attached to this letter will be summaries and reports that Our generals assure Us will aid you in any ascertainment of your requirements.

Yours Sincerely,
Miyuki I

Representing the Hivemind Council of Vbingvan

Perhaps you're unaware of the situation, Ms. Dugas. Vbingvan only offered to support any nation willing to invade Milograd due to it's horrific human rights abuses. It did NOT declare war on Milograd itself. Despite Milograd's assertions that it wished to be isolationist, the current invasion of Vbingvan is due to Milograd declaring war on us, not the other way around. In addition, Milograd not only turned down our offer of peace, it insulted it by claiming to only accept peace if we allowed them to murder a larger portion of our population, a demand which likely still would have been met with invasion.

While we see no fault in your nation protecting it's allies, Milograd needs no protection from a peaceful nation who's army is largely armed with flkt crossbows.

It seems awfully odd... )

OOC: The SHORAD sites are on our military bases, and the special forces were to reinforce the army because Vbingvan's army sucks.

As for the exodus, I admit that was a bit lame.

We cannot surrender because Milograd's army will kill us anyway. We cannot retreat because we might lead them to civilians. Therefore, all members of the Vbingvan Armed Forced are hereby barred from retreat or surrender. "...Those who retreat will be shot."

Commander Fztht sat in stunned silence for a moment, hardly able to believe what he just heard. The Commander-in-Chief ordering the death of anyone who retreated? It didn't seem like something his nation would order. Nevertheless, he would carry out this order. He clicked on his radio.

"Alright, listen up. We've received orders stating that we cannot retreat. The Milogradian commaned has, likewise, made surrender not an option. Therefore, our only option is to fight. We might not be able to defeat the barbaric invaders from Milograd, but we sure as hell will give them a fight to remember."

Fztht clicked off his radio. Flkt, giving a motivational speech is harder than it looks.

The tank division, which was mostly made up of a variant of the M1 Abrams MBT, took it's position outside Formathis, the ancient capitol of Vbingvan. The other tank divisions soon joined them, resulting in a blockade of around a hundred tanks. A few hundred lighter attack vehicles, some military Humvees, some civilian four-wheel drive vehicles retrofitted with weaponry and makeshift armor, joined them shortly after.

Meanwhile, within Formathis itself, the infantry and civilian militias were fortifying for the upcoming battle. The bulk of Vbingvan's military was either here or at Ft. Arkriz, and as Formathis was the capitol and Milograd had made threats to murder the governments leaders, it made sense to dig in at Formathis. The city was fairly large on the surface, but hundred of ancient tunnels from the ruins that Formathis were built on would give the defenders a small advantage.

OOC: This'll be short. I don't know anything about naval combat.

In response to the direct attack from the Milogradian vessels, the Vbingvan fleet returned fire with their own, more primitive missiles. In addition, the single aircraft carrier, the VSS Archon, launched bombers to destroy as many enemy ships as possible, as well as fighters to defend them.

"Yet again the nature of international community - perpetual warfare and tension - has been displayed, and at no time has it been evermore manifest why we seek and desire isolation from the aforesaid community."~ Dh'arco Rahavuhra Jukill

Conference Chamber, Grand Hall of Argyz
Milograd
Gholgoth
1140 hours – 2/17/12
+++++++++

For the first time in nearly a year, a press conference hosted in the Grand Hall of Argyz itself was organized by the Dh'arconian High Command. Upon having received news of the Lemonian "Declaration of Neutrality," Dh'arco Rahavuhra Jukill immediately began to prepare for the announcement of the Empires' nullification of its declaration of war. Jukill was hopeful that this nullification would ultimately convince the international community that if left alone, Milograd would not bring harm to anyone. It was the sole objective of Milograd to return to an undisturbed isolation within the cold region of Gholgoth...

In the Conference Chamber of the Hall, countless amounts of reporters stood in anxiety waiting to record Jukill's statements, which would eventually be posted online for the entire world's viewing. Many of them had arrived several hours prior to when the actual address would begin, as to acquire seats closer to the speaking platform of the room, but regardless there will still reporters entering the chamber at this spoken time. A majority of them were associates of the Gholgoth Regional News Association ( GRNA ), which was responsible for the transfer and reporting of any Milograd-related news to the international community. National media outlets had no means of conveying their news to parties outside of Milograd due to Dh'arconian Media laws. All of Milograd's media organizations were technically subdivisions of the Argyzian Authority, in reality.

At 11:40pm GST the bronze doors of the Conference Chamber swung open, and from behind them emerged Dh'arco Jukill. His thin dark suit and black hair were easily visible before the greystone backdrop of the Grand Hall. The room, which had previously been filled with a soft whisper, immediately entered absolute silence upon his entering - only Jukill's rythmic footsteps could be heard. Four Resource Agents followed the Dh'arco Rahavuhra, their large protective gear obstructing any view of what lie behind them. If anyone spoke out of turn, made even the slightest noise, or attempted to harm the Dh'arco, they would be slaughtered on-site by the Agents, and the press conference would continue. They represented the epitome of Milogradian brutality, and they conveyed the state's emphasis on the value of obedience through their nature.

The Dh'arco looked upon the crowd, and raised his hand in the iconic Dh'arconian salute; a clenched fist against the left ear. The entirety of the room promptly followed suit, as to show their respect to the Milogradian Warlord. He smiled, and subsequently began his address. "Greetings, everyone. It has undoubtedly been a complicated series of weeks, our nation has been thrusted into war as the interventionist hordes continue to interfere with our grand march towards absolute isolation. Yet again the nature of international community - perpetual warfare and tension - has been displayed, and at no time has it been evermore manifest why we seek and desire isolation from the aforesaid community." He glanced around the room, and reporters continued to jot down notes on their clipboards. He then paused before continuing, "Outside of Gholgoth, the world constantly wars and interferes with the affairs of other nations as a means of forwarding their own twisted and misguided agenda; wanton interventionism through violence et war are applauded as courageous acts performed in the name of justice. The definition of 'justice' endorsed by corrupted institutions such as the World Assembly Security Council is not one that we shall accept; our definition of justice does not include the sacrificing of human life for the sake of causes which do not concern us. We are a fighting nation, yet we will not fight for that which does not concern us; we encourage the world to follow suit.

The Vbingvanians made the fatal mistake of assuming their relevance in the affairs of Milograd, and for that they shall pay the price of extermination, subjugation, and annihilation. Our war has arisen due to such, and Vbingvan shall fall as did Bisgea, Tecknoko, and Argatov. All others whom wish to infringe on Milograd's rightful sovereignty, and therein our right to isolation, shall meet the same fate." He paused yet again to capture his breath, and wiped off a batch of sweat from his forehead. "We realize that our interaction with the inherently flawed international community is unnecessary, and we realize that it is within the best interests of our people to refrain from maintaining an active international presence. We embrace these concepts - Dh'arconian thought - and realize that the annihilation of all those whom dare attempt to threaten us is entirely necessary. Like a sleeping beast, we will not harm those whom do not harm us. Milograd desires nothing more than peaceful isolation within the secluded Gholgoth region; we do not inflict outwardly harm, so why must others feel it necessary to threaten us? Intervention with Milograd leads to nothing but death and despair, so I would like to pose this question to the international community; why intervene when peace can be achieved through leaving us alone? Why must the sons and daughters of the state sacrifice their lives in the name of an unnecessary war?"

The reporters, translators and media representatives proceeded to applaud Jukill, his speech had thus far been a basic pro-Dh'arconian rant. Many of the present reporters did not necessarily agree with what had been said, but they were required to applaud if they wished to have access to the press conference. Jukill continued his speech as the applause died down. "Regardless, as the War of Liberty in Vbingvan continues, I would like to announce the withdrawal of Milograd's declaration of war against the Lemon Islands. The Lemon Islands had originally declared their intent to interfere with the Milogradian objective of isolationism, but soon realized that it would be better for their people - and our people - if they refrained from doing so. A truly Dh'arconian act indeed, we can only applaud the Lemonian administration for their revised stance on the matter in Vbingvan. The Dh'arconian High Command encourages other nations to follow the example set by the Lemon Islands. The Milogradian 'Declaration of Intent' is still valid, but I pine to see the day wherein its use will be obsolete. I will now answer any questions."

The reporters instantly began calling the Dh'arco Rahavuhra's name and raising their hands, and Jukill briefly surveyed over the audience. He noticed a short, stocky, bald man with glasses in the front row, and pointed at him. "What is your question, sir?"

"Mr. Supreme Warlord, I mean no offense in asking this, but how can you justify the genocide and annihilation of a state that merely intended to send 'a single regiment for every invading nation' to Milograd?'"

Jukill chuckled. "Thank you for your question, and no offense is taken. I dislike the term genocide, personally, for it implies that something is inherently negative. What we are doing in Vbingvan is not 'genocide,' but rather 'cleansing.' We are cleansing the world of the interventionist menace so that mankind can exist in peace. Do you dislike peace? I think not, and that is how what you call 'genocide' is justified." The man refrained from asking any further questions, and promptly returned to his seat. Jukill then pointed to another face in the crowd, this time that of a tall woman whom worked for Saxifrage from Tosmaldevo. She rose at his command, and asked, "Dh'arco Rahavuhra, how do you think the Gholgoth Regional Alliance itself will respond to these recent events? Do you intend to withdraw its carrier group away from Sniper Country in the name of defense?"

Several moments passed, and Jukill thought over her question. The Gholgoth Regional Alliance was undoubtedly a melting pot of various types of nations, many of them warlike and offensive in the eyes of the international community, yet nations such as the Drakonian Imperium coexisted in the alliance with these "offensive states." This meant that the response from Gholgoth itself had a chance of being unexpected. "My colleagues and I trust that our Gothic brothers will understand the reasoning for our campaigns, and we trust that they will recognize the recent stress that the Empire has been under. Our allies in the Kraven Reich and in Automagfreek have both seen condemnations submitted against them by the interventionist scum of the World Assembly, so I assume that the Reichmarshall and Dreadfire will sympathize with our irritation at such. I believe that the alliance will collectively conclude that the Empire had no other choice than to take the measures that it has to ensure the protection of its sovereignty, and we have already seen our allies in AMF, Jagada, and Telros come to our aide. Milograd has, and will yet again, extend a sincere expression of gratitude to the men and women actively fighting the interventionist menace. Our reasons for war may be different, but ultimately we fight for the same cause.

As for your question about Sniper Country and Ralkovia, that is a discussion for another time. Anyone else?"

A loud, masculine voice emanated from the center of the crowd, "What will become of Vbingvan after extermination, and are there to be any future diplomatic relations between the Lemon Islands and Milograd?" This question, unlike it's predecessor, had a short answer, "Upon the conclusion of our extermination and annihilation campaign, Vbingvan will be subjugated by the Resource Initiative and will be claimed as the Empire's newest territory. As for the Lemon Islands, it has been mutually agreed upon that there will be no further relations between us and the Lemonians. It is best that we do not interact with one another."

Jukill, upon answering this question, gestured to indicate the conclusion of the conference. "I must go at this time, but I appreciate your attention. The honorable men of the Resource Initiative shall escort you out of the Grand Hall." He then turned around and proceeded to walk through the bronze doors that he had previously passed through. The four Resource Agents that guarded him followed along, and a group of Agents began to enter the Conference room to escort the reports out of the building.

Within hours, broadcasts of the Dh'arco Rahavuhra's speech were being broadcasted internationally, and streams of the video were being watched online by millions of people...

Upon viewing the Dh'arcos press release, the Vbingvani foreign delegate, Tshariik Vbarvk, sent out a reply. The broadcast consisted of two parts. The first was little more than a series of documents, stitched together.. The second was a video. Attempts were also made to overpower Milograd's broadcasting signals to force Vbingvan's broadcast to play on Milogradian television.

The first part was as follows:

Foreign Delegate
Tshariik Vbarvk
Representing the Hivemind Council

Dh'arco Rahavuhra Jukill

Foreign Delegate, Tshariik Vbarvk
Representing the Hivemind Council of Vbingvan

Even if we were willing to comply with such a demand, which we're not, we wouldn't be able to carry it out. We'd have an all-out rebellion on our hands if we told our entire population to surrender their firstborn children, and that would destroy our nation just as much as if you and your allies invaded.

So flkt no, we won't be complying with that demand. We won't communicate with you again or make any threats of war, but we won't be sending you our firstborn children, either.

-End Transmission-

Annihilation and extermination shall commence as planned.

Dh'arco Rahavuhra Jukill
Supreme Warlord of Milograd

The second part was as follows:

Foreign Delegate, Tshariik Vbarvk
Representing the Hivemind Council of Vbingvan

We only offered to assist those who declared war on Milograd to prevent the deaths of others, whether they be the soldiers of those armies or your own people. Only when no nation proved themselves brave enough did Milograd declare war on Vbingvan, an act completely at odds with Milograd's stated desire for isolationism. In addition, as revealed in the previously shown documents, our nation even offered peace with yours so that Milograd could return to it's isolationism, but instead chose to spit in our collective faces with a demand that, even if met, wouldn't have sated your leader's blood lust.

The people of Milograd fight and die because their leader is an insane warmonger, and for no other reason. He has no desire true desire to make Milograd isolationist, he only cares about killing anyone not like him, especially if they cannot defend themselves.
