Kalenda Stadium's Press Box is a little homey, with a maximum capaicity of only 45 journalists. The Stadium However does offer fifteen Grande Suites for VIP Guests.

Series B Champions' Cup-River Side Field(50,000) Scott City, Darmen

The newest stadium in the nation, River Side Field was built to house Sporting Scott City's Football Code teams. River Side Field will host the National Track & Field Championships, and may possibly also host Darmen Bowl Three, should it's bid be successful. River Side Field's Press Box seats 300 journalists, more than enough for the coverage of the Final Match.

Svendogardd-Baltskandio Faglega Fótbolta (SBFF)

The neighboring Rushmori nations of Baltskandio and Svendogardd, sharing Scandinavian heritages and long coastlines along the Great Inland Sea, have joined together to create a professional football league spanning both nations. For Baltskandio this is the first fully professional league in any sport, and no little controversy has been stirred by the league's establishment. The eight established elite all-sports clubs in particular have vehemently protested, and they won a concession of a reserved Globe Cup berth for their top performer through the established First Minister's Cup series.

UICA Nominations

Each association gets one Champions' Cup nomination. The SBFF as a whole gets six Globe Cup nominations, with a maximum of four to one association. Both associations have reserved one Globe Cup spot to be determined by means other than the SBFF league table.

• Svendogardd's final Globe Cup spot goes to their highest-placed club in the upcoming Kuppi Yhtenäisyyttä, the cup of the SBFF.
• Baltskandio's final Globe Cup spot goes to the winner of a two-leg playoff between the champions of the Mænds Fodboldliga and Kvinders Fodboldliga, administered by Fodboldforbund i Baltskandio as part of the First Minister's Cup all-sport club competition.

V-League: 28th Season Tropical Trophy
(Note: The Tropical Trophy is a seasonal competition between the Vilitan Stellar Division Champions and Vilitan Cup Champions. There has been some controversy as to whether it is a "Season Ending" event or a "Season beginning" event, though it has tended to be closer to the start of the new season, then the end of the previous one. For V-League 28's Tropical Trophy, The V-League Stellar Division Season 27 Champions and Cup Champions were the same (Strike FC), so Stellar Division runners up Cednia Beach AFC were invited, creating just the third 'Vilita v. Turori' Tropical Trophy matchup )

JUNGLE STRIKE FC - v. - CEDNIA BEACH AFC
Tivali Ring Stadium, Alikki-Corra, Vilita

The ultimate Tropical Trophy matchup was a special setting held at the Tivali Ring Stadium in Alikki-Corra. Defending Stellar Division champions Strike FC squared off with super Cednia Beach AFC, the top side in the Turori and UICA Champions League darlings, having overcome the odds and inexperience to reach the UICA group stages in two straight campaigns. Both sides contained rosters littered with International players. For Strike FC the roster sheet virtually mimicked the lineup of the Vilitan National Team with Nycflala Kater in goal, Viji-Mara Lawaai up top and a ridiculous midfield of Jonjo Hulyer, Aniara Jiurjai and Retiso Buran. While Miiara Makose was starting in defense, Vilitan captain Ritopa Simafela would miss the match, along with midfielder Jian Lejsrma and defender Niubo Deneli, requiring some subs to come into the lineup. For Cednia Beach, the attack was formidable. Vilitan superstar Kristofer Kilpter, fresh off the most expensive transfer in V-League history from the Yeaddin Owls, joined up top by Krytenia’s Eric Tyler in the midst of a fantastic World Cup campaign with his national side. After making a debut for the Vilitan National Team, Cednia goalkeeper Jaqe Planst was looking to make an impact while the Coconuts were without Turori National midfielder Tiika Diirotora.

Strike lined up in an attacking 5-3-2 formation that transitioned to a 3-4-3 when the wingbacks moved up on the attack. Cednia Beach went with a more traditional 4-4-2 formation with four straight across the back for a flat defensive line. The aggressive Venom held the opening possession and ended up with the first chance of the game, but Viji-mara Lawaai’s effort went out for a goal kick. The ensuing goal kick was absolutely terrible from Planst, and the Venom players quickly found Yves Gadois wide open for a volley attempt but Planst recovered well to tip the ball around for a corner kick which didn’t amount to anything. Cednia Beach’s first attempt came 10 minutes in after Miiara Makose was yellow carded for a poor challenge but the resulting free kick was played poorly by Christoh Nrubari. Cednia Beach had their first decent shot on target just before half time and Nycflala Kater could only put it behind to concede Cednia Beach’s first corner kick of the match, but they also could not convert and the two giants went into the match tied at 0 a piece.

It didn’t take long after the break to end the deadlock. It was a great individual effort from midfielder Retiso Buran, juking his way through the penalty area before slotting past Jaqe Planst to give Strike FC the deserved 1-0 lead. The venom continued to attack, and just minutes later they had doubled their advantage. Jomur Hulyer screamed down the left side before putting a cross that was met definitively by the head of Viji-mara Lawaai. Now down 2-0, Cednia Beach needed to attack, but as they moved forward, it opened up space for Strike to move the other way. Good play from Buran and Hulyer found Lawaai free again just before the hour mark. Lawaai’s shot was saved by Jaqe Planst but the rebound fell to Yves Gadois who fired a low shot that looked destined for the back of the net. Planst recovered well, however, saving the effort and keeping the Coconuts in the game. It would prove to be a critical moment as Cednia’s attacking would finally pay off on the other side of the hour mark. After coming up from the defense, the cross came in to the back post where V-League’s most expensive player, Kristofer Kilpter, started paying back his transfer cost by breaking Nycflala Kater’s clean sheet and putting Cednia Beach on the board. After backpedaling for the majority of the first hour, the tides had turned quickly for the Turorian side who now pressured Kater’s goal, and once again after the kickoff they were attacking. Another cross in, and another header for Kilpter, and the 12.7kT player had been worth at all at that moment for the Cednian supporters as the top team in Vilita and the top team in Turori were level again with less than 30 minutes to play.

Strike responded in the 70th minute with some fine attacking play of their own, but Jaqe Planst twice pawed away Yves Gadois headers to keep the scores level. With 20 minutes to play, the Venom made a substitution with Aniara Jiurjai being replaced by Turorian international Cediici Tzatzos. The match got more nervy entering the final 10 minutes, and it showed in the effort by Tzatzos with 6 minutes to play, blasting a good chance well into the stands behind the goal after a great build up. After the 90 minutes, the match entered extra time where the Vilitan side dominated the possession with Cednia Beach sitting back defending. Incredibly, neither side had a clear chance until the 120th minute. The referee’s, appearing to be ready to blow for penalties, allowed Strike to play out one final attack. 30 yards from goal, Viji-mara Lawaai played a ball into the area where Yves Gadois was waiting. Gadois swung for the volley and connected awkwardly. On the way to possibly going wide, the ball struck the leg of Uajiala Pulkki, changing directions and leaving Jaqe Planst completely helpless as the ball rolled into the back of the net to the dismay of the Turorian players and fans alike. The referee’s wasted no time blowing the final whistle after the ensuing kickoff and Strike had won the Tropical Trophy in the most nerve-wracking fashion, out lasting their Turorian rivals for their record 10th Tropical Trophy title.

The same introduction as ever: the most international league of the world, mother of modern domestic football, which is the number one in the international coefficients for a long, long time and which recently returned to fight hard for the TQCC and other international competitions returns to activity, and the teams are ready to fight for trophies again. The Cafundelense teams, followed by the entire world due to their quality and the tough dispute for the many titles available, get reinforced once again, to dispute in the national and international competitions.

See the transfers involving foreign players between Cafundelense teams - for players arriving to Cafundéu from abroad, there is no list but they have been included in the line-ups of their new clubs, so please check these and, in case of a player missing, warn me. Other facts: last season was an average one for Petardos S/A, since the team was unable to win any of the major titles, but also didn’t have any big disappointment. But, since the team is still desperate after an international title and to consolidate its position as the biggest club of Cafundéu, something difficult with the strong opposition, changes were made. Players with low performance were substituted, while the coach Fernanda Garcia, from the Cafundelense Women National Team, was brought after the campaign in the World Cup. The team has the strength of ever, and surely the supporters are expecting high.
Transfer Market: after much speculation, Taniquentar stayed in the squad for this season, even considering retirement, a decision that Farfán took. Black, Godô and Alixysev ended leaving the club and were replaced well. Cafundelense Kledir, of the National Team, is the new face at the defence, while Aécio Funez and van Sorensen are the new signings for the midfield.
Fans’ Favourites: with no doubt the fans’ favourite is the midfielder Laborious Hawk, the eternal #10 of Petardos S/A and team captain. Taniquentar now appears to have the confidence of the supporters, while Fresco has a good amount of fans, with these two closing the list of the current biggest idols of Petardos S/A.

Transfer Market: Due to this recent success, nothing was changed in the squad. Maurício retired, but his own substitute Batista took the starting position from him. The only actual signing is the arrival of Renato Carnaval, one of the biggest surprises of the previous season, who asked to leave his former club São Longuinho.

Transfer Market: the team was not a bad one, even with the results not being what the supporters expected. Therefore, the changes made were few. Youngster Loco was promoted to be a starter, while Lipe was signed from América. In order to substitute the legendary goalkeeper Melkezedeck, who retired, the directors brought the keeper from the club’s main rivals, managing to take a good player and at the same time weakening the opponents.
Fans’ Favourites: right now we have Edgar Rufino, the new captain of the squad, as the most loved player, followed by his partner Rugrosso and the central defender Catimba, a symbol of the team.

The fans are now worried that the team may be entering the worst period of its history, and after another bad season, the previous one, some signings were made in an attempt to save what once was a promising club of Cafundéu to a dark future, fighting to return to the top half of the table.
Transfer Market: four signings improve sectors that didn’t do a good job in the previous season: Deco and Seeler come to compose the midfield, in an attempt to strengthen both wings which were much explored by the other clubs. And the strikers were completely changed. The new signings are Sam Needle and Conchis, who both have fame, but have to work hard to satisfy the fans.
Fans’ Favourites: at this moment, midfielder Morose is the one with the best relationship with the fans, with midfielder Natalie Karven being second, as she showed her commitment to the squad by staying even after the bad seasons.

This excited the supporters and also the directors, who invested hard trying to put Atlético Jutense back to the group of main Cafundelense teams, taking advantage of the bad moments of some former powerhouses. Now the team really seems to have taken their place once again, and some even think the team can fight for titles.
Transfer Market: for the defence, the new arrivals are David Black, from Petardos S/A, and Vítor, a promising player who has yet to prove his talent in a strong squad. Another signing comes from Petardos S/A, experienced star Godô, while Belarte is the last signing for the midfield too, coming from Atlético Central.
Fans’ Favourites: lethal striker Kandakram takes this position in the hearts of the supporters, being followed by his talented team mate Lini Pellett, as they compose one of the most praised attacking lines of the Primeirona.

During a great mid-season move by Arsenrall, They aquired Midfielder of the Year Tor Tong Lee from the Rogerton Whitecaps of the Darmen Premier league equivalent. Matchday One: Well, here we all are then, ready to open the league up to wider view. And today was a bad day to be an Ungalb. Gultpyret managed a pair of goals, but gave up five to Buzhrumpus who put flair together with attack. Parvin Wode scored two, but the midfield was the power behind it. Ayila Reamlad was the first score, and nidjfoge Rithin Klayb (winger) and Artin Gonelee (forward) comebined for the other pair.

For all that, Mayl Inthreapa aren't even in first outright, with Munnerput crushing Ungalb Impodel by the same score! Nobody likes Impodel, granted, but they might have to reconsider if the alternative is seeing Munnerput fans look realistic...

Matchday Two: Well, Impodel suck. 5-2, again, this time to Brantslaybel. By the time left-back Tendeana Ayspayr scored the fourth, her nidjlome Ipaka Huve had set up two from the midfield. Dandra Elfit got his second in as many games for the visitors, but still.

Moyna Hayris was the only goalscorer in Assertham vs. Nithgard; that scoreline's no surprise for those two but Assertham winning was a mild shock.

Matchday Three: Let's pause and take this in.

Munnerput. Top of the table.

Admittedly, two of their three matches have been against new teams; this time against Rithspin, with Pellit Duverayk the only scorer. Still, doesn't stop the fans from their usual giddiness.

The only other perfect record belongs to Perntav Marna, and they haven't even conceded. Today in the derby they turned it up a notch, by which is meant, scored actually twice. Earyk Puve and Istel Shernakee managed it, the latter against ten players after Vessel Hendrit got red-carded in the 63rd. Gultpyret are very much at the oposite end of the table, avoiding the basement by one goal of difference just as Perntav Marna trail, let's repeat, Munnerput. It's only matchday three, I know. But still.

Mathday Four: Most everyone drew scorelessly, including the defending champions (held by an impressive Ronthand). And so did Perntav Marna (still yet to concede!) as they went top. This was accomplished thanks to Munnerput's defeat, to Buzhrumpus; although defender Teakee Drayn limped off the field after an overexcited tackle, they didn't missed her and netted four, including a superb bicycle kick from Reamlad. They're second now, and we have an exciting early showdown since they've got Perntav Marna next.

Matchday Five: Let's give the King's House credit where it's due; when conceded a goal, to Gonelee, they didn't let it get to them and tied it up through Baysen Ated by halftime. When Puve took the lead, all seemed well...and then it all fell apart. Klayb brilliantly set up his nidjlome for another goal, and then with five minutes to play, Breasen Aygel chipped in the winner. Buzhrumpus are very deserving leaders now.

Perntav Marna fall to sixth, with the same record as, um, Munnerput (held by Brantslaybel).

Matchday Six: Perntav Marna lose again, this time to a Nithgard side picking up just their second win. They were probably the better team today, although not by much; Lays Mearkayd looked as shocked as anyone else when she scored the first goal of the match and good luck getting her to cross the midfield line again.

Biggest winners of the day were...Munnerput, handling a poor Deahpild, and the visiting fans were so pleased by Gayden Shear's brace that they didn't mind all the food being thrown at them.

Ousteeble lost to an inspired Stroyfungul, with Daysen Muree poking in just the second goal the defending champs have conceded; it's their first defeat so far, while Stroyf climb to their usual second as the last undefeated team.

Matchday Seven: Ousteeble, being Ousteeble, ground out another 1-0 with Bayra Lonk's goal beating an unimpressive Perntav Marna. And Buzhrumpus got outplayed by Nithgard, whose four goals doubled their seasonal total to date.

That left the top clear for "LOOK AT US LOOK AT US WE EXIST" Attereg to go top, paced by a comfortable shutout of newcomers Assertham. Though his nidjlome was on the bench, Kayra Barten scored for the hosts 21 minutes in and Brantel Soroff added another.

Matchday Eight: The season's first hat trick went to Wode of Buzhrumpus. That wasn't enough to beat Deahpild, but the goals Reamlad and Klayb added were. But Mayl Inthreapa's offense was not the best on the day, with Ungalb Gultpyret putting six past their disdained fellows, Impodel. No hat trick there, however, just a pair each for Shayv Brang, Margel Puse, and Vivid Hyf. Nice and communist. If you like that sort of thing.

Wode's goal was the only one in the Devsgrybe derby. And Nithgard beat Ousteeble; neither of them are in the top five...

Matchday Nine: Speaking of sharing, Gultpyret held Attereg to a draw, leaving Stroyfungul to go top after they calmly picked up three points from a Impodel side still stuck on...three points (but not bottom; Rithspin are yet to win). Doncher Maygul scored two of Stroyf's three goals, ably set up by his young nidjlome Teav Rettin. For all the talk about what their academy will have come up with in a few years' time, this is a pretty good start. And they haven't lost yet either; Vaygant Tishromee is leading a nice back line (the right-backs, Klayf and Mardj Gull, clinked four seasons ago and married last year). Lonk was the only goalscorer in Ousteeble vs. Buzhrumpus.

Matchday Ten: The big game was Stroyfungul hosting Attereg, and the visitors would take advantage, going top and sending Stroyf to their first defeat. The only goal came from Soroff, nine minutes after the restart, and they eventually were left facing ten after Maygul got sent off for fouling Ruthin Brath.

But the big scorelines were elsewhere; Ronthand thwapped Deahpild behind a Belb Inmora hat trick, and Ousteeble doubled their goalscoring totals by putting seven past Tendrekion. Granted, their captain Rosean Tivashee got sent off in the eighth, but that's no excuse for acting like the team clinked with her, this is Tendrekion! No, this is just a case of Ousteeble learning how to attack, with roving midfielder Aleash Allagondee flying up and down the left wing to score two and set up Klove Barshel. Lonk added a couple of her own, the defense got lucky...yeah, on this form they could win the title again.

Matchday Eleven: So you know how people from Bloyben keep asking us to care about their derby and nobody does?

They've started caring.

Vestin Kernee began the action for the hosts Stivarnel, receiving a Tubis Mershel pass and scoring just four minutes in. But six minutes later, Sylef Reands crushed in a shot from the right wing to equalize. Seven minutes on, Talia Klyn came up with an impressive tackle on defender Jef Scorbel, won the ball away, and shot above Kaysin Weam's head.

And Ronthand equalized two minutes later through Fef Molander. 2-2 and they weren't twenty minutes in.

Deep breath, exhale, look around the league. Anything else of note? Attereg handle Perntav Marna, Stroyfungul beat Rithspin (who manage to score a goal, that's saying something), Buzhrumpus blow a lead to Tendrekion fluke luck, which should probably have been the most interesting game on the day but just...isn't. Back to Bloyben.

Inmora picked up where he left off last week, and scored in minute 34 off an assist from Aymer Lyk. In the first of four injury time minutes, another Tubis, Meanlee made a nice save of a Klyn shot, but Reands came up with it and scored anyway. 3-3 in the first half.

Ten minutes after the restart, the visitors went top through Rabith Hendels. But just past the hour mark, Scorbel, being marked for another tackle by Klyn, challenged back and earned himself a red card for his troubles. Klyn put away the penalty, and the match was tied at four.

To minute 83, when Stivarnel took the lead once again, with Kernee holding off Tanch Laygel to score. This lead would last longer than their second, but not quite so long as their first; five minutes later, Arbis Kakyl would drive forward from the defense and equalize for Ronthand. And in the second of five planned and seven actual minutes of stoppage time, Inmora backpassed to Lyk who gave the visitors a very exhilarating win.

Game of the season? Too early to say for sure but you might as well pencil it in.

Matchday Twelve: Several scoreless draws on the day. Attereg were held to one by Nithgard, who are sweating harder to shut people out than they should have to. Not Attereg, granted, who stay top (on goal difference only, after Stroyfungul beat Munnerput). Brayntel and Deahpild also failed to score, as did Assertham and Stivarnel, which pushes the latter into the drop zone as Ungalb Gultpyret won to escape it. You wonder which of these teams' more conservative rivals would be more helpless if their rivals went down.

Granted, after last week the Bloyben derby's probably the neutral's favorite anyway...

Matchday Thirteen: Another, not particularly characteristic, low-scoring game for Attereg. It was more than characteristic of their opponents, however, as Ousteeble beat them 1-0 on a single Allagondee goal to slip into first place for the first time all season. And with bottom-placed Rithspin next, they could be there for a while.

Below them there's just two points to three teams; Attereg are still in the hunt along with Stroyfungul and, speaking of derbies that the neutrals like, a Devsgrybe side. Buzhrumpus romped past Ungalb Devsgrybe, scoring five of their own (well, and a silly own-goal from Peas Planden). But Gonelee got a brace and left Klayb free for another, with reserve Paita Vondas coming on and adding the last.

This is, to an extent, the Mayl Inthreapa of the popular consciousness rather than the club that plays in Devsgrybe; they're not exactly supposed to be this leaky. They're second in the league; their defense is twelfth or thereabouts (worse than that of Rithspin, still with just two points to their name). But their offense is the best, so maybe that's good enough for now.

Matchday Fourteen: That's more like it, kind of. Reamlad's goal was the only one in Buzhrumpus versus Assertham, but it was an amazing corner kick that'll be on the highlight reel, so. They draw even with Rithspin in the goals-conceded tally, too, with Ousteeble cruising past them to stay top. Meanwhile, a side that is supposed to be that leaky is Deahpild, and they were, giving up six to Stroyf with a Kaysor Enthrak hat trick beginning the proceedings and Rettin adding another.

Matchday Fifteen: It's still locked tight at the top with the top four all winning against lower opposition. Brayntel of all teams provided perhaps the most notable news story of the week; apparently midfielder Joundra Aslyk, until this week half of the team's only nidjfoge with forward Moyer Kayns, clinked with defender Sheara Parkins. Although the nidjfoge had never really seemed to gel, apparently Aslyk is not taking this transition well and all three will likely miss the next week or two.

Matchday Sixteen: Brayntel almost bounced back in more than fine style; they were beating Buzhrumpus, in Devsgrybe, with fifteen minutes to play. But it all fell apart when a long cross from Drayn found Klayb, who shook off Gonelee and equalized himself. Seven minutes later, Vondas would beat a tired Doven Ufes to find Reamlad, who put away the winner for Mayl Inthreapa. This bandwagon is picking up steam.

Matchday Seventeen: It's the halfway point of the season and our attention is split throughout plenty of games. Chief among them, and here's a sentence that it's difficult to finish, was Deahpild. They scored one goal, twenty-two minutes in, thanks to Truver Mornd.

And then Ousteeble just froze, too shocked by falling behind to Deahpild to remember how to attack. They played a very cautious rest of the game and shut the hosts down, but couldn't score again, and so at the halfway point fall behind.

With so many teams chasing them that's no surprise, and two of them were playing each other. Buzhrumpus made the trip out to Attereg but were in control of the game from the start, dominating possession and eventually leaving Wode free to score. Reamlad added a second, and though Moygel Hempner would pull one back, Attereg were always shaky and Luthis Varnel added another goal. Which, to be fair, they could use to stay ahead on goal difference; Stroyfungul were keeping pace, winning away against Assertham.

With all that change at the top, you'd think the excitement would stop there, but oh no. Rithspin have finally achieved a victory, escaping the basement to boot! They did it at the expense of new bottom-feeders Ungalb Impodel, by a 4-0 they haven't gotten to pull since the second-division days. Both halves of midfield nidjfoge Gayva Loren and Runde Pears (rhymes with "fears" if you're an Anglophone) got on the scoreboard.

And we weren't done. Brantslaybel put six past Tendrekion, with braces from Volkilk Rinth and Puse Filee. And that total wasn't as good as the offensive fireworks on display in...Munnerput. Seriously. 7-3 over Devsgrybe, with a hat trick from Shear, two more from Duverayk, and Rosin Klyg and Tubin Reaven of the midfield adding goals.

When Attereg complain about being overshadowed they sort of have a point...

Anyway, if the season ended today, Buzhrumpus would be champions, two goals ahead of Stroyfungul. Ousteeble are one point back, Attereg two behind them, and a recovering Nithgard two more back. At the other end, Stivarnel, Rithspin, and Ungalb Impodel look set to go down.

They all have the same opponents to contend with, but due to the vagaries of the schedulenater, Buzhrumpus will have home-field advantage for the four teams chasing them. And so do Ousteeble against the other three. It could come down to all-out defense versus, um, barely-out-at-all-but-this-season-somehow attack. We'll see!

Matchday Eighteen: Wouldn't you know, this one was just like the first leg...Buzhrumpus 5, Ungalb Geltpyret 2.

To their credit, Gultpyret haven't had many of these blowouts (yet), and with double the totals of the current sixteenth-place team (that's Stivarnel, who lost to Ousteeble behind a Barshel goal), they look safe for now. But still, Mayl Inthreapa are looking plenty fancy. This week it was Gonelee scoring two and Reamlad assisting two other midfielders, Aygel and Prith Uned. The last was a speculative, long-range Drayn effort; not particularly beautiful by Buzhrumpus standards, by which is mean "who scores from that far out?!" Next it'll be the communists redistributing goals like they do.

Munnerput only won by a single goal this week, by the way. Moved 'em back into the top half. Stroyfungul also handled Brayntel easily to stay tied with Buzhrumpus on points, and Attereg also kept pace, though Nithgard stalled on fifth behind a goal from Reands of Ronthand.

Matchday Nineteen: The top four all won to keep pace, or "set" if you're Buzhrumpus. They won 3-1 over Rithspin, beginning with a third-minute goal from Klayb that went in off the top crossbar somehow.

Ungalb Gultpyret, on the other hand, kept it closer against Stroyfungul, holding out an hour before Enthrak finally scored. Even Ousteeble provided more offense, with Lonk notching two in a defeat of Ronthand. Attereg were the most entertaining, winning 5-2 over Munnerput with Moygel Hempner scoring at both ends. Well actually it was the same end. Different halves. But you know.

So three points from first to fourth and three goals from first to second, still, but it could all change next week after Mayl Inthreapa host Stroyf. The latter won 3-1 at home last time out, by the way. We were all too busy watching Munnerput go top.

Matchday Twenty: Attereg got held by Brantslaybel. Should've had a goal from Soroff before a brutal Shry Kayndel foul, but Tuvin Luvelee saved the penalty...what's that, you don't care? Oh. Right. The big one.

Buzhrumpus got the crowd standing early, with a Reamlad shot that grazed the far post and turned away. But they'd make up for it soon enough, with Gonelee tearing in to score. Stroyf fought back, with the Gulls slowly making their way up the field and controlling the ball for a while, before leaving Rettin clear to charge through and equalize. As the half wore on, Buzhrumpus challenged a bit more, with Aygel earning a yellow card for fouling Muree but then scoring on a chip shot five minutes later. Just before halftime, a loud Wode header furthered their lead and set their fans wild again.

Stroyf came out with new force and new substitutes after the half, unwilling to give up on this big a match, and Rendra Nilkarn converted a corner kick to close the gap. But it wouldn't help; Klayb cut past Klayf Gull and scored in the eightieth. Buzhrumpus 4, Stroyfungul 2.

Buzhrumpus, you're clear at the top for the first time in fourteen matchdays. Momentum has to be on your side now, that and quite a lot of "anyone but Ousteeble" bandwagon-hoppers. What next?

Matchday Twenty-one: Munnerput TU 3, Buzhrumpus GU 1.

Defeat to Munnerput was not on the list of answers to that question. It just wasn't. And yet here we are.

Mayl Inthreapa scored first, through Vondas, and from there it must have just been overconfidence. Shear equalized with Varnel clumsily out of position, but when Morv Hassel took the lead before the half was out, the visiting fans got very quiet indeed. Klyg slipped in another twelve minutes into the second half, but by that time it was hard to shock them more.

None of this would have mattered so much if the other top clubs hadn't been able to take advantage, and indeed, not all of them did. Stroyf were held to a point by Perntav Marna (leaders this far out in the first half, you'll recall), with Sheshin Veas scoring an own goal but Shernakee equalizing for the hosts. But Attereg pushed aside a frustrated Deahpild, and Ousteeble defeated Brayntel in what can only be called negative football. To their credit, the defenders came forward...to trap Kayns offside several times. (All parties involved have more or less gotten over the clink situation, although Brayntel still aren't good; this is their third 1-0 defeat in a row.) This leaves Ousteeble top again.

33 scored, 9 conceded. Buzhrumpus are two points back, 62/38 respectively. That's two different ways to get to 24; maybe they're not the takilans they pretend to be, but if they're going to chase Ousteeble, they're going to have to keep faking it.

Also, Ungalb Impodel got their second win of the season, beating Stivarnel who are now five points above them and still in the drop zone.

Matchday Twenty-two: Both capital clubs lost to the top two, and when you see the scorelines you can guess who was where.

Okay, that's not fair; Gultpyret like to throw everybody forward, defense requires being organized. But Ousteeble wore them down, waiting until the second half for Jenvee Barshel to score. Buzhrumpus, meanwhile, were entertaining Perntav Marna. In both senses; they let the visitors go 2-1 up before Reamlad and Wode crushed any hopes of another upset. Granted, they shouldn't necessarily need to do that; they were looking more scared than inspired well into the final half hour. Still, as long as it works in the end...or will they need more goal difference to hold off everyone else?

Maybe not, with the next two clubs falling a little behind. Stroyfungul tied with a still-fifth-and-still-seem-like-they-could-be-better Nithgard, while Attereg were upset by Stivarnel, who are just a point from safety now.

Matchday Twenty-three: For the first time all season, Nithgard are in the top four. They beat Perntav Marna behind goals from Klayf Brog and Marpo Heaf, with a Puve shot in added time of the first half effectively meaningless for the visitors. This puts Kaynd four goals back of Stroyfungul, who went down to Ousteeble by the same score. That one was close for the first seventy minutes, with Maygul equalizing almost immediately after Klove Barshel's opener, but Sefa Ringel eventually gave the hosts the win. They're four points clear now, with Buzhrumpus dull against Brantslaybel; Rinth's goal was almost offsides, and Gonelee's equalizer just as uninspired.

Matchday Twenty-four: On matchday twelve, Stivarnel GU, exhausted from that derby, fell into the drop zone. Twelve matchdays later, they're clear for the first time since them after getting a point off of Munnerput. Duif Brayl's was the only goal for Attereg at Assertham, which pushes the latter down with their other recently-promoted counterparts.

Buzhrumpus pushed Nithgard right out of the top four, with Brod Helay scoring despite almost getting sent off in the twenty-fifth after his nidjlome, fellow defender Kealast Nulbyd, also got shown red. Aygel provided the other goal, with Brog scoring again for the visitors. Ousteeble also won on a Lonk shot against Perntav Marna, who've been stuck with a lot of good teams recently; they should be able to rest up a little next week against Tendrekion.

Matchday Twenty-five: The top two, who face each other next week, both won 1-0; Ousteeble defeated Nithgard behind an Allagondee shot in minute 21, and Vondas scored the only goal for Buzhrumpus against Deahpild. Actually, this is almost underwhelming for Mayl Inthreapa; Deahpild are leaking over two and a half per game, the league worst.

Attereg brushed aside Brayntel just fine, but the Devsgrybe derby had some excitement. Stroyfungul were 3-1 up at halftime, with Enthrak scoring two of those in nine minutes, but then Dorim Atik and Kayv Rashith both scored booming shots from the midfield to secure a point. (Three-quarters of the way through the season and I've name-dropped people from every team. Time to start a national team, probably.) This leaves Stroyf six points behind Attereg in third, but then again, they still get to host all of the bottom four.

Speaking of them, Assertham tried to bounce back and were instead, humiliatingly, Rithspin's second victims of the season. Poyer Rose (not only do they have a lot of women, they have plenty of coincidentally-English-surnamed people) scored two and Pears (see?) got the other. Assertham are still four points above Rithspin (and, more importantly, just one goal behind a Stivarnel who lost by the same score to Brantslaybel), but they're still being outscored by them.

Oh, and Perntav Marna couldn't even beat Tendrekion. They should've; Kayndel's shot was windblown and barely on-course, but that's Tendrekion luck for you.

Matchday Twenty-six: Buzhrumpus 0, Ousteeble 0.

There's time for Mayl Inthreapa to come back, of course, they're just four points out, but this one seemed like it had the potential for being demoralizing. Three visiting defenders picked up yellows, in the first half, and Buzhrumpus looked too frightened to put together an attack. Even if one point was enough (and there's really no shame in not scoring on Ousteeble--most people don't get that far), perhaps it was enough to tear the scales from the eyes of some neutrals. All along the diehards have made it clear that Buzhrumpus are not your takilan dynasty, and it hasn't been clearer than today. Except for Matchday Nine, when they lost 1-0. To Ousteeble.

Um, speaking of other teams that could come back, Attereg had an entertaining victory. 6-4 in Eanbyre over a disenthused Gultpyret, with Barten (and Brang for the hosts) scoring hat tricks. Stroyfungul were perhaps more impressive, or at least efficient, with a 4-1 win over bottom-placed Impodel. Those two will also play next week.

Matchday Twenty-seven: About that demoralization thing? Stivarnel 1, Buzhrumpus 0. This moves Stivarnel up to the dizzy heights of 14th, aided by their crosstown rivals who beat now-15th Deahpild. But Klyn's fifteenth-minute strike rattled the hosts just enough so they couldn't get comfortable. Ousteeble held on against Tendrekion, so they're up by seven now and the real excitement may already be over.

There's also four points between fourth and fifth if you're into that kind of thing. Stroyfungul are still that fourth-place team, despite beating Attereg. They almost looked ready to give it away in the second half, with Hempner and Gelp Rofazh's goals both preventable by the defense, but had enough of a lead to hold on anyway.

Victory three for Rithspin, Rose the only goalscorer against Gultpyret. They're on, erm, fourteen points now.

Twice as many as Impodel, so the neutrals are pleased.

Matchday Twenty-eight: A chase? Anyone? Stroyfungul are up for it, comfortably brushing aside Rithspin 3-0--the third from Rettin came in injury time, but the first two were in the first half and well-deserved. As for the teams between them and the top, perhaps they're there for the picking off? Attereg drew with Perntav Marna, quickly responding to a Puve goal with one of their own from Soroff, but couldn't get anywhere after that. And Buzhrumpus couldn't hold on against Tendrekion; while Wode gave them a lead that lasted into the second half, Vals Hayz had a ridiculously long throw down the field that Brend Rumes eventually found and scored on.

Ousteeble, again, took care of business against Devsgrybe. Nine points clear with five to play. Eh.

Impodel followed Rithspin's lead in winning, 1-0 in Nithgard with Byzer Lend scoring.

Oh, and this week was the Bloyben derby, now with more viewers. A mere five goals between the two sides, though Inmora's winner for Ronthand came in the 79th, so that was probably exciting.

Matchday Twenty-nine: Spare me your platitudes, save me your generalizations, shut up about all the "this could happen every week," it really couldn't, there's only two weeks when any pair of sides play each other. Be quiet and look at the score.

Ungalb Impodel 1, Ousteeble TU 0.

The tall Ranthit Tearlilee was the goalscorer, thirty-three minutes into play. Ousteeble were stunned and argued for offsides even though he was obviously not, they're just not used to being down, and a halftime shakeup didn't help matters either with both nidjfoges getting broken up. There was, obviously, no further scoring.

And Buzhrumpus, for a change, took advantage, even if they needed the bulk of an hour to solve Ronthand. But Vondas finally got it done, so they close the gap to six points now. Attereg and Stroyfungul also picked up wins to stay one and two points out of second respectively. Remember Stroyf still have Stivarnel and Assertham at home, while Mayl Inthreapa and Attereg get to host...er, will be hosting Impodel.

Speaking of which, other than being Perntmakers, could they stay up and deliver a big fingerflutter (we're losing something in translation from the Earad here) to the rest of the league? Well, let's see. With the drop zone now consisting of the three new clubs, it's Stivarnel GU who are the target. Impodel need...to win out, to have Stivarnel lose out, and/or make up a 17-goal gap to go with their 13-point one somehow.

Game on!

Matchday Thirty: Another big match for Ousteeble, who could probably have crushed fears with a win against Attereg. No such luck; the visitors were rather cautious themselves and dropped back at every speculative host opportunity. At halftime, most fans were agreed it would be a scoreless draw, and most fans were right.

Mayl Inthreapa took full advantage, winning the Devsgrybe derby behind goals from Wode and Gonelee.

Stivarnel won; Impodel didn't. That's the latter down. Bye.

Matchday Thirty-one: Ousteeble got back on track, scoring a pair against Rithspin to relegate the latter. Of the new clubs, only Assertham can stay up now, and on this form there's no way they're doing that. The last time they were safe was matchday 23, and they've scored once since then. They also lost 2-0 this time around, hosting Buzhrumpus who stay four back. Attereg and Stroyf also won to stay in the hunt, but they probably need Ousteeble to slip up. Buzhrumpus host Attereg at the end, remember, and a win last time put Mayl Inthreapa first.

Matchday Thirty-two: Okay, well. An exciting day to be watching in Devsgrybe, although not necessarily pleasant for all the locals. Buzhrumpus fans had the better of it, blowing away Impodel. You'd think at this time of the season the visitors would be playing their kids. Only problem is they don't really have any. So instead, Buzhrumpus had the run of the place, with Nulbyd pretending to be a wingback and coming up to score in the first ten minutes. Gonelee added two more, Reamlad had a nice chip, etc. 6-2 final.

So maybe it's just another bad day to be an Ungalb, because Devsgrybe got the worse of an exhilarating clash with Attereg. It started nicely enough, a pair of Barten goals matching two from Ile Maxik and Tearim Hayz (younger brother of the Tendrekion keeper). That was just the first half. Then Attereg turned it on, with Brayl and Hempner both scoring within ten minutes of the restart. After a clumsy foul from Chera Maris, though, Atik put away a penalty. And after the restart, Rashith quickly gained position and dribbled forward only for Puse Naklee to draw another foul. This time it would be just a free kick, but Atik set up Ile Nayn (yep, just two teammates who happen to have the same first name...we have some names that are more popular than others, took us most of the season to get this far, maybe there will be more seasons) for the equalizer.

And then Brayl totally scored again with seven minutes to play. 5-4 Attereg; hopefully enough people replay the match that they forget they're actually out of it now, as Ousteeble easily handled Munnerput. (Then again, that's more than everyone can say...)

Upshot, Ousteeble lead Buzhrumpus by four, and it's hard to see them blowing it.

Matchday Thirty-three: The title race ended with--fittingly given these champions--a scoreless draw. At home for...Brayntel, a side that was less flying under the radar and more falling from view. In a season that very much played to last cycle's rank (Nithgard's bump from third to sixth one of the biggest exceptions), they fell from seventh to eleventh now and nobody laughed too much at them, because most people had decided to mock them even before the season began.

The point is, if you're one of those hip weirdos, perhaps you think that notions of excitement are overrated and that even unattractive defense is fine if it works. If you're super-duper-hip perhaps you're gonna go all solipistic and define "works" or whatever, but get out of my football league, seriously.

Anyway, they held Buzhrumpus, and Ousteeble won in Brantslaybel. So...yeah.

Matchday Thirty-four: Buzhrumpus finally hosted Attereg, not like it mattered, and won. That leaves Attereg fourth, after Stroyf won 1-0 against Assertham. This was a side that lost on Matchday 24, falling into the drop zone as a result, and didn't pick up a single point the rest of the way in. What went wrong?

Besides the curse the fans go on about...

Ousteeble made their triumphant return home, easing to a first-half lead of 2-0 behind goals from the Barshels. Though Pask Trindor would pull one back for the visitors, no one was too concerned, and the celebration could begin. After the trophy ceremony, visiting fans who had politely applauded along stayed near the stadium to enjoy a warm meal and chummily discuss the glories of football with the locals.

Just kidding, they were playing Deahpild.

Kino FC Makes Offers

Kino FC, formerly a second division team, is in the big leagues, and they have money to back it up. Under the new ownership of billionaire Henry Dvorak, Kino FC has reeled off an astounding number of transfer offers in the last week. Here is a list of players they are reportedly in talks with (OOC: I think I am forgetting one or two, my apologies for forgetting):

Another Cyborg Holland player, Denbrandt's knack for scoring cannot be ignored. He would be strong up front, especially if coupled with some other internationals.

A reserve midfielder on The Babbage Islands, Hunt's nationality could not be ignored in ABK. A player from one of the world's best national teams would be a huge fan draw for Abdians and their families, even a reserve. This may be the most important offer from Kino.

Bogdan Petrovic - East Franz Athletic - 34 - Midfielder - Polar Islandstates
Another possible fan drawer, Petrovic could dominate the Abdian First Division, much like Eugenio Helidoro of Erathore has done at Market FC. Petrovic in the midfield could be deadly for opposing teams.

Konstantin Rossen - Mayen Islanders - 23 - Defender - Polar Islandstates
A solid fullback, Rossen would be an important piece in bringing stability to the team's backfield. With his reputation for long through balls, one could see Rossen making big plays for the team if a deal is worked out.

Toussaint Cavanaugh - FC Stephani - 25 - Midfielder - Chenkorya
A Chenkoryan international, Abdian fans should have time to get used to Cavanaugh in the Copa Rushmori. His fan drawing power may rest on that performance, but either way, he would be a valuable addition to the team.

Jean Beauchemin - Zaire-74 - Midfielder - 24 - Zenega
A tricky player on the ball, Beauchemin could be the player needed to keep the team fun. Abdian fans love dribbling magic, just look at Jonathan Ellefson, and a player like Beauchemin could rise in popularity very fast.

Awate Gabriel - Facé Vitality - Defender - 21 - Zenega
The defense has been forgotten about for the most part in these offers, but Gabriel could be a very valuable addition, if his career pans out. He is a bit unknown, and very young at 21, but Kino needs youth, so he may find a niche with this team if they can come to a deal.

The deals focus heavily on the midfield, which will fit in nicely with the 3-5-2 being played at Kino. There are some reports that a few players would switch positions if they came to Kino, but the reports were not specific. Dvorak said that the team's budget will be, "as high as it needs to be to win," and that "we are not finished making offers." The team's direction appears to be towards signing internationals while building up a strong Abdian youth academy, and they have the money to follow this tactic. Kino FC will likely soon be competing with Market FC for the highest budget, and Market may have to make some moves to keep their crown. We will be keeping a close eye on this team in the immediate future.

If a Baltskandio club wins the upcoming Kuppi Yhtenäisyyttä, to be announced by Svendogardd, that club will be nominated to the Cygnus Cup.

The SBFF is delighted to present the first ever Kuppi Yhtenäisyyttä, the 16-team knockout competition that will decide 2 of the final 3 international qualifiers from the bordering nations of Svendogardd and Baltskandio.
Svendogarddi clubs will certainly be more ambitious in the Kuppi, as in addition to the SBFF's Cygnus Cup spot, the best-placed Svendogarddi club is awarded the nation's final Globe Cup spot. For Baltskandio, only the Cygnus Cup berth is at stake, but it is sure to be an exciting tournament nevertheless.

The Kuppi Yhtenäisyyttä, of "Cup of Unity", in keeping with the unity and comradeship between the 2 Rushmori nations, will be a simple 16-team knockout format, each round, including the final, played over 2 legs. Really, the only complications of the Kuppi Yhtenäisyyttä is the matching up of teams. For the first round, in which 16 teams would compete, the teams were divided into 4 pots, each based on league performance. The 4 best Svendogarddi Clubs, the 4 Best Baltskandian clubs, the 4 worst Svendogarddi Clubs, and the 4 Worst Baltskandian Clubs were each placed into different pots. The Teams in pot A (Top Svendogarddi Clubs), and Pot D (Worst Baltskandian clubs), were drawn at random against each other. The same was done for Pots B and C, ensuring that the Best Baltskandian clubs faced off against the worst Svendogarddi Clubs. The Pots and First Round Draw are Below:

The Best Baltskandian team held up against a ferocious Adavere Koprad, forcing a 2-2 draw, and what is, effectively, the Final of the Kuppi Yhtenäisyyttä to be played at the Stadium of Hovedstaden Løver. They do, however, gain 2 crucial away goals that could be the deciding factor of the Kuppi Yhtenäisyyttä should leg 2 end in a draw.

Second Leg:

Hovedstaden Løver 4–2 Adavere Koprad

The first ever Kuppi Yhtenäisyyttä is won by Hovedstaden Løver, 6-4 on aggregate. Baltskandian clubs dominated the competition, with only 2 Svendogarddi clubs advancing past round 1, and none to the semifinals. Both these clubs were already qualified for International Competitions, and teams eliminated in the Ro16 were, in the eyes of the Knattspyrnusambandið Svendogardd, the Svendogarddi Football Association, ill-fitted to represent the nation internationally. As such, the GC nomination is sent back to the league table, and Svendogardd´s final GC Nomination goes to Nørs.

Intended to be a pre-season tournament held each off-season over ten days at the home of Acquan football, Il Colosseo, the tournament is designed to allow the teams to give their youth players and new signings a chance to gel and show their talent in front of capacity crowds, baying to see the Polarian sides in particular. Somewhat surprisingly, Qolo-Qolo qommand a five point lead at the top of the table come the halfway point, having only lost once. Clube Cobreloa are also exceeding all expectation by leading the chasing pack in second. As for the rest of the big four, Caballeros are attempting to make amends for their poor season last time around, and have a top four spot firmly in their grasp. Condensadores are hot on their heels in fourth whilst CConquistadores lag behind AS Débardeurs Nationale in 6th. Clube Esporte de Penthesilea are far from embarrassing themselves so far, the highlight of the campaign up to now surely being the 3-1 win away to Caballeros that stunned the nation. Atletico are having a disappointing season so far, but Sommieres are happy just to be back in the top division, and appear to be enjoying every match as if it were their last.
