we used to have a whole list. now it's just:

Marshall
kommandant
officer
infantry

people would say, how would you differentiate a higher infantryman from another?, you won't. that's because if you live long enough and have enough experience to be ranked an officer or a kommandant, then you'd get those privileges to be one rank higher and in a safer position.

the mainland - xecuii collaboration forces have around 17,400,000 infantry total ( infantry to us is just everyone including medics, cooks, logistics, etc since everyone can be armed with a weapon and use it right ). out of the 17,400,000 troops, most likely there are 15,000,000 infantrymen, 2,000,000 officers, around 400,000 kommandants, and then the rest are of Marshall rank.

XIV. Kriegsherr
XV.I Großkommandant

Kriegsherr, translated as War Master or Warlord, and Großkommandant, translated as Great Commander or Supreme Commander, are officially recognized Brevet Ranks and are not part of the military hierarchy per se. De facto, both titles denote a primus inter pares, with the Kriegsherr being "subordinate" to the Großkommandant, while both are equal to a Marschal, Admiral or Scharleiter in rank. The title of Kriegsherr is reserved for the highest ranking officer in the Cabinet of the Großkommandant, either in the role of de facto commander of the Armed Forces or as the main military adviser. Generally, the Kriegsherr is often also the Ombudsman of the Armed Forces. The title of Großkommandant is reserved for the Head of State. While the Großkommandant doesn't have to be a member of the Armed Forces, he quite often is, but as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces he gets assigned that Brevet rank while in office. Regardless of actual rank in the Armed Forces, Marschal, Admiral and Scharleiter remain the highest ranks in the Armed Forces one can hold, even though the Brevet ranks of Kriegsherr and Großkommandant are equal to them.

This rank grants the bearer complete authority over the entire Warhost, and in times of war, the ability to defy the Emperor himself if necessary to achieve victory.
I one day hope to have my own Security Council "Condemn Urarail" Resolution. And a verified Twitter account.

From the 1337 G4m3r5 Factbook:

Military Rank and Promotion

Our ranking system is largely based on how many frags you've managed to get. We figure if you're good at killing, you get to instruct and lead others who are less skilled. In a situation with two personnel of the same rank, the soldier with more frags has rank over the others. If they have the same number then it is decided by seniority. If all else fails, they can decide upon a mutually agreeable method for deciding rank so long as it is observed by their subordinates.

A Frag is any termination of individuals designated as enemy combatants. Frags are awarded to the soldier who achieved them, as well as his/her superior officer. Double frags are awarded as recognition for exceptionally impressive frags...such as three frags with one bullet. (which would count as six frags)

E =Enlisted , EO = Enlisted Officer, O = Officer, CXO - Chief Executive Officer

E1 - N00b (0-50 frags)

E2 - Nubling (51-100 frags)

E3 - Nubjeh (101-200 frags)

E4 - Nub (201-400 frags)

EO_5 - Fragger (401-800 frags)

O1 - Fragdude (801 - 1600 frags)

O2 - Fragpunk (1601 - 3200 frags)

O3 - Fragganksta (3201 - 6400 frags)

XO - Fragmaster (6401 - 9999 frags)

CXO - Fraglord (10,000 or more frags, and/or Fragging the former Fraglord and all other potential competitors)

(ooc: yes...I do love the Klingon Promotion... :twisted: /ooc)

Hmm... going only by Ranked Officers, and starting with the Army, in reverse order of precedence; with equivalent rankings (Navy always before Army before Air Force);

1. A platoon is commanded by a Decurion, called a Lieutenant in Libraria;
2. A company (sometimes called a century in Apraecia) is commanded by a Captain;
3. A battalion (sometimes called a cohort in older references) is commanded by a Commodore;
4. A brigade is commanded by a Brigadier Tribune;
5. A legion (sometimes called a division) is commanded by a Legate General;
6. A corps is commanded by a Marshal;
7. An army is commanded by a Strategos-Marshal;
8. Higher commands are Field-Marshals;
The Emperor commands the lot (ceremoniously)

By Navy; we have:
1. Midshipman, commanding a section;
2. Lieutenant, commanding a few sections;
3. Captain, commanding a large ship;
4. Commodores (a common 'temporary' post);
5. Rear Admiral, commanding a few ships;
6. Vice Admiral, commanding a lot of ships;
7. Admiral, commanding even more ships;
8. Admiral of the Fleets, one per constituent navy (Libraria, Ausitoria, Apraecia, etc.);
The Emperor commanding everyone else (ceremoniously)

By Air Force; we have:
1. Flying Officer, commanding an aircraft;
2. Flight Lieutenant, commanding a flight or historically an 'airboat';
3. Captain, commanding a squadron or historically an 'airship';
4. Wing Commodore, commanding a wing;
5. Air Marshal, commanding a group;
6-7. Air Rear-Admirals and Vice Admirals; as appropriate (if there are enough regional groupings required);
8. Admiral of the Airfleet;
The Emperor commanding everyone else (ceremoniously).

Other non-commissioned ranks are:
-1. Seaman (Navy)
-1. Private (Army)
-1. Aircraftsman (Air Force) (now obsolete)
0. Warrant Officer or Corporal (Navy)
0. Sergeant (army)
0. Warrant Officer or Corporal (Air Force)

Disclaimer: Notwithstanding any mention of their nations, Ausitoria and its canon does not exist nor impact the canon of many IFC & SACTO & closed-region nations; and it is harassment to presume it does. However in accordance with my open-door policy the converse does not apply: they still impact Ausitoria's canon.
