A point is a point, but Baleyaroh's fans would probably have desired a victory. Baleyaroh, together with Sativaville, is the underdog in the group and anything that isn't a defeat gives a reason to celebrate. Still, in the next two games nobody is expecting to get anything and a victory against Yesopalitha would have given the team some ease to face them. Now, with no victories in the last ten games, the only one against Cheergirls in the first game, the team's objective to reach 16 points seems getting further.
A boring game with no intensity as both teams waited for the other to take the initiative and make a mistake. With barely any real chances from both teams during the first half, the "protesters" got ahead in the 41st minute thanks to a fine header by Milan Mizee after a corner kick. The second half didn't improve much with the exception of Yesopalitha playing the ball a bit more to create more chances, which still were few. The spectators had to wait 15 minutes to see a shot, from Yesopalitha, that went over. Unfortunately for Baleyaroh two minutes later, in the 62nd minute, their opponents managed to draw the score with a long shot Risa Brittsan miscalculated. She has received too many long range goals. The referee could have ended the game right there, as both teams seemed to be happy with the result, otherwise the lack of intensity can't be explained.
Group 1
Mangolana 1-1 Mapletish
Baleyaroh 1-1 Yesopalitha
Bostopia 2-4 Erathore
Cheergirls 3-1 West Angola
Tactical Update: Coach Vernetta Lavongsar has lost her confidence in golakeeper Risa Brittsan, whom some fans regard as responsible for the team's inability to keep their results in the last quarter, and who will be watching the next game from the bleachers. Hilma Kellish will be playing her first game with Baleyaroh's national team. Even though he scored the goal against Yesopalitha Milan Mizee loses his place to Lurline Gals. And once more the rotation between Hobert Mamone and Hiroko Lipkovitch. Risa Brittsan will be joined by Ellsworth Kellem and Alejandrina Berley as Diamond Argudin and Jin Havekost take their places in the bench.
