First Royal Absolute Empire, Xanadou
The billowing black smoke flew up high into the air over the golden stalks of wheat that seemed to stretch for miles into the green sea. The air was hot, and the lack of shade coupled with the unrelenting sun didn't help at all. Six men, each on horseback, stood on the very edge of the field, two of them armed with PPS-43 submachine guns and the other four armed with SKS rifles. The dark brown horses stood out like a sore thumb amidst the green and gold, but they were essentially the most effective way to travel when automobiles were largely unavailable to anybody below the Bourgeois.
The peasant family that had gathered around them looked despairingly at the burning field, their income for the year basically being destroyed before their eyes. Such was the tactics of the Galician Liberation Front, however. Burn enough wheat fields and the peasants will have no choice but to start anti-government riots for Galician independence. This is not to say that these things went without punishment however, often the retribution of the Imperial Military being far worse. These punishments were a constant reminder to the Galicians on why their independence must be achieved.
One of the Galicians, presumably the leader, cleared his throat and spoke to the peasants, "I'm deeply sorry it had to come to this, Mr and Mrs. Sharapov, but you must see our motives for this" the Galician said, not taking his eyes off of the field.
"You think that your GLF speaks for all of Galicia, Bonderenko, but how will my family make it by for the next year? And perhaps even the year after that?" the peasant replied, a hint of anger in his voice.
"You will be fully reimbursed for the amount of damage, Mr. Sharapov , along with more payments as compensation for the years that follow, I can promise you that" Bonderenko said back with a compassionate tone. He turned his horse around and started to trot away. "If you would excuse us, Mr. Sharapov, may God help your family in these turbulent times" Then flicking the reins, the horse started to gallop in the opposite direction as they arrived, followed by the five other Galicians that accompanied Bonderenko.

Galician raids continue to ravage Freiberg
Machinegun crew near Orenberg
Galician attacks continue to ravage the region of Galicia in the fallout of the Germanification campaign launched by Adjoint von Freud. The Galicians, whom only make up 6.2%, are calling for a free Galicia due to several differences between Etniiziyan, Leopoldian, and Venitian culture and that of themselves.
The center-stage for the Galician Liberation Front is the capital of Freiberg province, Orenberg, which is currently under Galician control and serves as the capital of "Free Galicia". All though most of the raids are localized, concerning with mainly the burning of wheat fields, there is speculation that any sort of main organized attack will happen but only the time frame is unknown.
Currently, the Empire has succeeded in quelling several other ethnic riots, the most notable happening with the Slavs in the Kolionijan capital of Asada. While the Oberkommando des Heeres have not released any in depth information about the governmental plan to quell this uprising, Generaloberst Joachim Doacher has released the deployment of the 7th Royal Cavalry Army and the 2nd Royal Dragoon Army to the region.
Crowds giving farewell to troops in Aleksiberg
"This horrid plague of nationalism has clearly blinded the Galicians viewpoint on things" Adjoint von Freud commented whilst fox hunting. "We must make an example of the Galicians to show to other peasants that you do not stand up to the empire"
Activists on both sides are calling for a more peaceful solution to the conflict, but both are thus far, being ignored. However, more and more Galicians are joining the GLF cause amongst the rumors of the Empire bringing in foreign troops to help with the rebellion.
Needless to say that L'Etat will continue to keep you updated on our website as this story continues to develop.
Aleksiberg, Etniizia
The typical apathetic attitude of the Imperial Government could be seen and felt even by the youngest child. And who could blame them? Filthy, scummy peasants having their fields burnt down by a bunch of nationalists, who in their right mind would care about something like that? Not the Imperial Government of course.
The tea room of the Imperial Palace at Aleksiberg was one of the larger rooms of the palace, able to hold up to 350 aristocrats, holy people, and ministers. Today, however, it was only filled with Aleit, Adjoint von Freud, Minister of Affairs Dietrich Kreuger, and a few other "close" friends of the Empress.
"You must admire the persistence of them, despite how futile and silly it may be" a minister said, taking a sip of black tea from his cup.
"Nonsense, there is nothing to admire about a bunch of nationalists resorting to petty terrorism to achieve their ways, probably got the ideas from all that Elwe tomfoolery happening in New Edom" von Freud said bluntly. "A swift and brutal response will end this conflict by next week"
"All we need is to send in the Royal Guard, and this will be over and done with by Thursday" Generalfeldmarshal Doecher said, closing the "Imperial Citizens Handbook to Xanadou" and placing it on the table. "Those unprofessional rebels won't know what hit them"
"That's the attitude, Joachim" von Freud said, giving a friendly, approving smile towards Joachim.
"The Royal Guard is remaining where it is, we have other, just as qualified units that could just as easily rid us of those terrorists" Aleit finally said, taking a sip of tea. "The Royal Guard remains in their current locations and will only be moved if it is absolutely necessary, General. Adjoint, we will be calling a General-Estates meeting to discuss this with the fellow pact members"
"If that is your will, your excellency, then consider it done" von Freud said in an elegant manner. "Gentlemen, as always, it was a pleasure talking with you" Getting, up, he politely bowed, then walked out of the room.
Official Letter of the Corinthia Pact
Addressed to: All Member nations of the Corinthia Pact
From: Aleit von Hohenzollern-Metternich; Empress of the Premislyd and Autocrat of her peoples
Subject: Calling of the General-Estates[encryption:100%]
As you may know of, the region of Galicia wishes to secede from our noble and honorable Empire. On normal circumstances, we would listen to them but they have resorted to petty terrorism, mostly aimed at poor peasants, to try and get our attention.
We are initiating a counter-insurgency operation in the Galician region, with our aim to quell this uprising. Given the current instability amongst the other ethnic groups, we are unable to spare any troops to properly deal with this threat.
Therefore, we are calling a meeting of the General-Estates here in Aleksiberg to discuss the best course of action to ensure the survival of the Preimslydan state, and by default, the Corinthian Pact. This meeting will take place on January 19th, which I think gives everybody an adequate amount of time to prepare themselves for the meeting.
I look forward to meeting you
