Kernansquillecan Under 21 National Football Team

Manager: Emily Jacob
Assistant: Jonathan Holden
Experiance: 3 previous Di Bradini Cups (first in DBC 17)
Best finish: 4th place (DBC 19)
Style: +3.00
Formation: 4-4-2
Website: Link
RP Permissions: Keep it realistic, nothing outside the bounds of RL reality. No more than 1 red card & ingury per game without asking. I'll decide how bad the inguries are so keep it to the basics if you choose to do so.

(Starters in bold)
Zacharie Larivière - 19 years old, male, goalkeeper, n.1, Rennes Men
The young goalkeeper helped his team reach their first ever World Cup group stage. Now in with the under 21's Zacharie will be looking to keep up this world class form. However with the keeper rumoured to be looking for a move abroad he'll have to keep on the field and off the field matters seperated.

Fleur Despins - 17 years old, female, right-back, n.2, St Marie Ladies
The young full back has little competition experiance with this being the first time she's been named in the starting XI. But after being in the last Di Bradini Cup and Women's World Cup squads she'll be used to the atmosphere on the pitch.

Naomi Baker - 16 years old, female, right-back, n.3, The Capital Young Guns
Naomi started in the last Di Bradini Cup squad which finished 4th during the last edition. That experiance will be vital as the Capital Young Guns graduate looks to try and reach the senior teams in the next season or so.

Edward Campbell - 19 years old, male, center-back, n.4, Rennes Men
Edward broke into the senior team after Gary Connor got ingured during World Cup qualifing. And he thrived under the conditions helping his team reach the World Cup proper for the first time ever. Now it's his time to cement his place in the senior side by impressing the gaffer and trying to give him something to think about.

Erin Iqbal - 21 years old, female, center-back, n.5, Lorient Ladies
Erin only got to play in a single game at the Women's World Cup but was a vital part of the Young Stalions' defence at the last Di Bradini Cup. On the transfer list she's also a player who may be distracted by other things. However it does help her having her brother in the team as both have a close bond.

Adam Lilac - 20 years old, male, right midfield, n.6, Louargat Men
A man who needs no introduction. Adam is a vital part of whichever team he plays in. With his fantastic footwork, pace, and intelligence he makes defenders shake in their boots. A very good set piece taker as well, Adam will surely have yet an other great tournament.

Yasmin Pearce - 19 years old, female, left midfielder, n.7, St Marie Ladies
The 19 year old winger is also a pure piece of quality. Knowed for her many stepovers and far post crosses she is also a player that defenders hate to mark. However it was a disapointing season for her in the league so it'll be intresting to see how she takes to the tournament.

Xarles Cressac - 20 years old, male, central midfield, n.8, New Southampton Men
The midfielder has had a great season with First Division champions New Southampton Men after missing out on getting a real chance at the World Cup, especialy with Roseby's great form. But he has got his spot in the side after Peacock was prefered to Roseby as the holding midfielder. He'll pick up a couple of goals and gets the attacking moves started. Xarles has also been returned the captain's armband that he has missed since the last Di Bradini Cup.

Isabelle Peacock - 20 years old, female, central midfield, n.9, Rennes Ladies
The renoundly beautiful Isabelle got the go ahead in midfield ahead of Roseby, pleasing her Rennes Ladies' team mates. She captained her team to the league title despite her team being underdogs at the start of the season. Isabelle is in fine form and will provide well needed support for the back four.

Kai Holmes - 17 years old, male, center forward, n.10, Louargat Men
An other one of the senior team stars in the first team. Kai just cannot stop scoring goals. Top scorer for the Green and Whites since their first international tournament and it's his excellent form that has lead Kernansquillec to the World Cup. We've only one piece of advice for opposition defenders and keepers: Be afraid, be very afraid.

Nicole Sharp - 21 years old, female, center forward, n.11, Louargat Ladies
And if it wasn't scary enough having to play against Kai. When you add on the striker that scored 12 goals in 9 Women's World Cup games and came home with a bronze medal. Nicole prided herself of great off the ball mouvement creating space if not for herself, for her team mates.

Patience Caron - 20 years old, female, goalkeeper, n.12
Hector Walker - 17 years old, male, right back, n.13
Elise Stanley - 16 years old, female, center back, n.14
Rory Roseby - 19 years old, male, central midfield, n.15
Sean Iqbal - 18 years old, male, central midfield, n.16
Parnella Ratté - 18 years old, female, left midfielder, n.17
Kimmo Suutari-Jääskö - 15 years old, male, center forward, right midfielder, n.18

Please read my last RP before RPing with my team as I like to rotate the team with developements, etc. Also I recommend reading the team's NS Wiki page (the "official website") for info concerning the team, the kit, etc. (I'm just finishing it off at the moment).

"So now we're not going to Cassadaigua, we're going to Valanora instead?"

"Hrright."

"Hokay."

"And they've changed the

"Oh? So when do we have to get there by?"

"Hwell, your first game's now down for the day after tomorrow..."

DI BRADINI CUP 20: A LOOK AT THE PLAYERS OF TOMMOROW

In this many part edition we'll be taking a look at some of the stars of the U21 World Cup who may be the stars of tommorow, as well as keeping you up to date with how the Cup goes, all the goals, all the gossip, and finaly all the news from the transfer market in the League as the new football season gets ready to kick off.

New Cup, New Boss, New Team
Well with the Di Bradini Cup set to kick off this evening it's only fair to start of by having a look at the whole Kernansquillecan team in general. The major change from the last Di Bradini Cup where the Green Foals finished 4th is that they have a new manager. As Chappell Robert was promoted to national team boss the U21 coach spot was left vaccant. Emily Jacob, the former St Marie Ladies manager, left the club to join the Under 21 set up. Despite the fact it left the St Marie Ladies struggling after they were expected to win the league Emily has made it clear that she won't let guilt get to her prior to this new campaign where Kernansquillec will be looking to go even further into the Cup than before. With the new boss comes some new players and some changes to the starting XI. Zacharie Larivière and Fleur Despins are promoted from the bench at the expence of Patience Caron and Hector Walker who will be on the bench. Isabelle Peacock joins the side for the first time and jumps strait into the starting XI. A new feature of this DI Bradini Cup is that the subs' bench will no longer be composed of 12 players but of only 7. KERFA have said this decison was taken by them and the U21 coaching staff in order to allow better squad rotation. Elise Stanley, Sean Iqbal, Kimmo Suutari-Jääskö and Constance René finish off the last 4 spaces in the 18 player squad.

The Group, The Games
Kernansquillec will have to play 4 group games and will have to finish in the top two to qualify. Kagdazka and Pazhujebu will most likely be the toughest test in the group thought Abcdefghijklmnopqrstuk and Cyborg Holland will be hard to beat. Juche Philippines are new to the tournament and should be beaten, but in this game you never know what Margaret may do to you. Kernansquillec will be playing the group underdogs to start off with at the The Black Jungle Stadium in Everlin. A day off is next after that before travelling to Oliviena to play the Alphabet Soup. Matchday Four will be against Kagdazka and Pazhujebu in Everlin and the final group game will be against Cyborg Holland also in Everlin. Our tip for fans would be to focus on the games to be played at The Black Jungle Stadium as all but one of the Group games will be played their. However travelling across Valanora is quite easy and you can contact the Kernansquillecan embassy for more information.

The First Profiles: the Iqbal family
It's a great moment of pride when a family gets to see one of their relatives appear for that first time on the football pitch. Wherever it's that first game as a little toddler or that first professional apperance. Erin Iqbal, the 21 year old defender from Lorient Ladies started football at the age of 5 with a local team on the outsquirtes of the Lorient. After a season at the club she was spoted by the Lorient team who took her under their wing. Since then she hasn't left the club and enjoys playing her football their. Even if she hasn't yet broken into the Women's National Team she will be enjoying this Di Bradini Cup. A family film shows her playing her first U15 game for Lorient and catches clips of all her family brimming with pride. Well not quite all her family. While she was playing her game her brother Sean Iqbal was playing with the U13s in his local club. He hadn't made an early breakthought after starting football later at the age of 10. 3 years younger than his sister he had in some sort been kept in her shodow in the footballing side of things but in a cup game between his side and Louargat's U15s despite his team taking a beating he was approached by a coach who saw his protential. A few years later he had moved from a local club to the big time, getting a professional contract with Kernansquillec City at the age of 18. He's got a long way to go to reach his potential and despite only making the bench this time he is determind to progress to the starting XI over the next few years. The brother-sister footballing duo have made their family name and may well make a real name for themselves if they can help the Young Green and Whites to progress in the Di Bradini Cup.

Next time we'll have a brief match report from the Kers-Juche Philippines game, a look at the two goalkeepers, and an excluse inlook to who's on their way out from the First Division and who may be on their way in.

Osarius Under-21s Football Team

Manager: Ishmael Walker
Nickname: The Flying Sparks
Captain: Serenity Lewis
Vice-captain: Brent Steele

06 CB Vittore Zavaglia 18 y/o Utica United
07 RM Titus Johnson 19 y/o Greeningham City
08 CM Serenity Lewis 20 y/o Firewood City

22 CF Elene Altieri 20 y/o Hastmead Diamante
23 LM Brett Hendricks 21 y/o Grasshoppers Turic
24 GK Olivia Griffin 17 y/o Utica United

Immediately noticeable from the squad sheet is the age of the players selected. Walker's decision to select a more experienced squad hints at his difference in attitude compared to his predecessor -- the current senior team manager, Alain Montblanc -- with regard to competition vs player development.

His named captain is Serenity Lewis -- the daughter of former Osarius captain Jermain -- who has commanded the Firewood midfield at times with great presence despite her age. She has established herself as a first-teamer in Fourge, which is a testament to her ability, as Ronald Ceasar's side are perennial title-contenders. Backing her up is experienced young centre back Brent Steele, who has recently broken into the Firebirds side. His combative nature will be curbed somewhat compared to the usual while on duty for the Flying Sparks, but his presence will be invaluable for his partners in defence.

Some have criticised the lack of Utica players in the squad, but Walker's response was simply to point out that Hastmead and Firewood have several representatives, and have been stronger domestically in recent years. Notable names in the Osarian squad for the 20th Di Bradini Cup include talented left winger Gilberto Cuellar -- formerly of Utica United -- who has been tipped for greatness in the future. His footballing education is sure to progress well at Zhevassi, and it is expected he will be a regular outlet for the Flying Sparks on the flank. Habib Kouli and Brent Steele are notable for their senior international experience, while Hendricks, Guardado and Ambrosio are very familiar with the Flying Sparks setup.

Miguel Rapinato will be expected to pull the strings in midfield, creating chances a lot of the time, as he often does for his club side, while Cameron Stern will be expected to finally step up and fulfil the potential touted by several pundits over the past few years.

Most likely, Walker will persist with the same 4-2-3-1 system inherited from Montblanc, partly due to its relative efficacy in Osarian football, and partly as a preparation of sorts for potential future senior internationals. The likely starting lineup is listed below.

Stern
Cuellar -- Rapinato -- Johnson
Lewis -- Baird
Cromwell -- Steele -- Zavaglia -- Kouli
Ambrosio

The National (B) Team of the Future!

In the first of a six part edition, we'll be reporting the games, profiling the players, listening to the gossip, and have our opinionated football buff, ready to fire up another column of his.

Ipeland have entered a team into the 41st Under-21 World Cup, aka The Twentieth Di Bradini Cup. The Cup was named after Simeone Di Bradini, who, according to the organizers is "Starblaydia's most-famous player, the first person to score for Starblaydia's own Under-21s, currently the fifth-highest goalscorer in Starblaydia's history, World Cup Winner, member of the World Cup Hall of Fame and one-time President of the World Cup Committee".

Ipeland's under 21 team has produced some good talent, notably Stuart Holden and Deniel Stainag, who have gone on to play for the national team, but most have gone on to play for the B team. The Under-21 team has never played in an international tournament before, so this will be an interesting experience.

Profile: The Group
Ipeland will play four group games, two at The White Fortress and two at Tiradir, both in Gladerial, so fans shouldn't have to travel that far. The hardest team in the group is Cafundéu, who've won three Di Bradini's, and recently hosted a World Cup with that nation, had a blue flag, ah Krytenia. Anyway, Darmen is probably the next hardest, being a good football team. These two teams will probably make up the top two. Our old friends, Homelands our are in our group, let's hope we can beat them, as we have on many occasions. And lastly, and (probably) leastly, Waltzing Matilda, a completely unknown nation, who should come last, but you never know what Margaret can do.

"Back in Valanora again? Geez man, how many times in the last four years are one of our sports teams going to wind up here?"

"Could always be in worse spots, at least the scenery is nice."

"I suppose there is always the spot of positive about it. But the elves, the sort of creep me out?"

"Why ever for? They seem charming and pleasant to me."

"It's the ears and how they are all pointed like that and some of the tips are even different colors. It just disturbs me."

"You have some serious issues if pointed ears disturb you. You do know that in humans, there is a genetic issue that can cause the same condition."

"Oh man, now I'm going to have nightmares. Why did you have to go and tell me something that like?"

"Hey, the more you know, the less ignorant you are."

"You're right, but come on man, I just told you the ears creep me out."

"Quit being a baby and get over it."

"Whatever. Anyways, you think the youngsters have a chance to cause some noise?"

"Maybe, though their group is full of up and comers looking primed to compete."

"Yeah, but the little Wanderers have got players that have been in this shindig before."

"True, but never underestimate eagerness to prove one belongs on the international stage."

"I guess they will just have to prove it on the pitch."

"Isn't that how all matches are decided? What are you getting senile now?"

"It's a phrase!"

"Whatever, let's catch the train so we're not late for the opening match."

"Hello, good afternoon, and welcome to this special FPIBC bulletin on the U-21 national football team. Gregorz van der Riise was the name on everybody's lips earlier today, as he announced his U-21s squad for the twentieth Di Bradini Cup, being held in Valanora. After suggesting to Sol Kirkkegaard that a few of his U-21 members be given a chance in the senior squad, van der Riise will be without a handful of key players here. The Haapa-Mechelin youth academy is well represented once again, as you might expect, with seven players in the squad having first learnt the trade through it's hallowed doors, three of which still play for FC Axel Heiburg. van der Riise will be buoyed by his Sub-20 squad's recent strong performance at the Rushmori championships, finishing runners-up in the end to an impressive looking Citiz outfit. He has built upon this promising start for this squad, and names many of the same players.

GK
#1 - GK - Dario Szezlak - Age 19 - East Kent (Civil Citizenry)
#12 - GK - Steffan Espeseth - Age 18 - SK Franz Josef City
#13 - GK - Nicolaj Thorsen - Age 18 - FC Cape St Paul
With FC Axel Heiburg keeper Jan Rasmus and Piotr Hemjann-Bezelhov both keeping the bench warm for the senior team at the Copa Rushmori, Gregorz has opted for Dario Szezlak to make his appearance in the number one shirt for the U-21s. A member of the Sub-20 squad that lost in the final of the recent Rushmori tournament to Civil Citizenry, he has prove himself to be capable on the big scene, and can now show off his talent to the world. Espeseth and Thorsen have only made a handful of Federation League appearances between them, but their progress is promising.

DEF
#2 - DR - Thijs Hotvedt - Age 18 - Islay Town Mechanical
#3 - DC - Ibrahim Ottosson - Age 19 - RSK Longyearbyen Town
#4 - DC - Simmo Gretzla - Age 19 - Jasmuur Eagles (Swartaz)
#5 - DL - Luka Baalsen - Age 21 - East Franz Athletic - VICE-CAPTAIN
#19 - DR - Sergei Nielsen - Age 18 - FC Axel Heiburg
#21 - DL - Edvar Folke - Age 20 - Islay Town Mechanical
#22 - DC - Olivier Kindahl - Age 18 - FC Axel Heiburg
#23 - DC - Lazlo van Baal - Age 18 - SK Franz Josef City
One of the few survivors from the last U-21s team, Luka Baalsen will be vice-captaining the side for this tournament from the left back position. He is making regular appearances for East Franz now on the left of defence, and his talent has caused many to take note. Simmo Gretzla and Ibrahim Ottosson make up the phenomenally tall centre back pairing, whilst Thijs Hotvedt has been given the chance to take the starting right back position. Nielsen, Folke, Kindahl, and van Baal all make the bench having appeared in the Sub-20 runners-up squad.

MID
#6 - MC - Emrahn Vik - Age 19 - SK Aasiaat Harbour
#7 - AMC - Niko Lepka - Age 18 - Royal Vosaroni Antenelli (Erathore)
#8 - DMC - Jorgen-Franz Bru - Age 21 - FC Torshavn - CAPTAIN
#11 - MC - Johann Lonnquist - Age 18 - Jan Mayen Islanders
#14 - DMC - Sven Ljustergaard - Age 19 - FC1. Bjarnarey Flotilla
#15 - MC - Steffan Baumgarten - Age 19 - FC Axel Heiburg
#16 - MR - Mikhael van Germ - Age 20 - North Star Grímsey
#20 - ML - Kjetil Huytspurr - Age 19 - FC Axel Heiburg
Too old by a mere matter of days to make the Sub-20 squad, Jorgen-Franz Bru will take the captain's armband for this tournament, something he has coveted for a long time. His imposing presence in the centre of the park will be a constant annoyance to opposition attackers, and makes him the perfect foil for the shy and retiring Niko Lepka, whose move abroad could be the making of this smart playmaker, and Emrahn Vik, who was the captaimn for the Sub-20 squad. With a mixture of tactics possible from the players taken, it is almost impossible to predict accurately who will be making the starting lineup match after match in this tournament, but all will be capable. Lonnquist, Baumgarten, and Ljustergaard are all perfectly capable central midfielders with plenty of Federatio nLeague experience for their respective clubs, whilst van Germ and Huytspurr were both devastating down the flanks for the Sub-20 squad, Huytspurr in particular as his cutting inside left defenders in his wake for him to drive home the goals with either boot.

ATT
#9 - ST - Lewis Bergen - Age 21 - Vincanto FC (Erathore)
#10 - ST - Alexei Kaplowitz - Age 21 - Vincanto FC (Erathore)
#17 - ST - Wilhelm Topp - Age 20 - Islay Town Mechanical
#18 - ST - Enroljas Montpellier - Age 19 - Red Star Severny
The nation is currently overflowing with young talent upfront, and with many players fighting it out, a few had to be disappointed. Kvitchenko and Elmsvikur will obviously be missed, as the 20-year-olds both make the step up to the senior side at the same time. Capable deputies remain however, and the out and out firepower of explosive youngster Lewis Bergen will be the main threat in attack here. An out and out central striker, he is about the best fitting natural replacement for the Timo Skys style of player the Terns have relied upon in recent years, whilst his Vincanto FC teammate Alexei Kaplowitz will be sure to torment defenders as he drifts out and attacks from a wide right position. Wilhelm Topp is recalled ot the side after missing out on the Sub-20 campaign, whilst Enroljas Montpellier makes a welcome return following his impressive debut in the same squad.

Possible Starting formation: 4-3-3
With van der Riise's preference for a liquid front three players, a basic tridente-formation can be presumed, although which players are best suited for this is currently under debate. The pundits seem to agree that this would be the strongest squad under a 4-3-3 however...
------------------------ Szezlak ------------------------
--- Hotvedt --- Ottosson -- Gretzla --- Baalsen ---
------------------ Vik -- Lepka -- Bru ------------------
---- Kaplowitz -------------------------- Huytspurr ----
------------------------ Bergen -----------------------

Vander Rox's Corner

Hey! Jane here. We had our first match today, against Mapletish. We prevailed, 3-0. The offensive philosophy by Coach Wallenberg worked today. Kirsten, Ishmael and I had our work cut out for us, because we had to face the Mapletish forwards by ourselves at times, but we held our own.

Watching Breanna score a header off of Liam's pass was exciting. But I think the best player today was Michaela. She had two assists - one when Liam scored in the second half and the other to Harold, who put the game well out of reach.

It feels good to represent Yesopalitha and win our first match, but we know that this has only begun. We need to finish in the top two to make it to the knockout rounds, so we have our work cut out for us. Up next is a game against Pasarga, who had a bye the first game. We must treat them like they're the best, because we don't know what to expect.

I am becoming good friends with my team. This is fun - let's keep winning! Till next time!

Ohh,Hi guys here it is your Football Kaki here Alex...You have heard my expression and it is something that it is not proud of,we lost to Yesopalitha,it was not very embarrassing considering the fact that most of our original U-21 team isn't in.Well, both Gil Diego and Di Natile was off at the wrong time.
Well Yesopalitha was quite a good team holding on to their attacking cum defending well, with a lot of chances wasted by our dear Under 21 team.
Well with quite an amount of the squad in the Quall Cup II,we are pretty missed out.

So well,Mapletish isn't in a crisis as the future of the national team have done us proud in the Quall Cup,but although they are off at the wrong time, our Under 21 squad in the Di Bradini Cup have done themselves proud too, with an amount of 25 shots and completed a nice amount of 670 passes in the game.Although we lost,we lost with dignity.Well
the Mapletish delegation have done well, and what can I say I am proud of them.

Churchma DBC 20 Coverage
Jeff Collinsworth and Kyle Boulay

Churchma 2, Mangolana 0
JC: Welcome to the Gator Sports Report, where myself, Jeff Collinsworth, and my partner, Kyle Boulay, will be here to give you the day-to-day updates coming out of Valanora for the 20th edition of the Di Brandi Cup.

KB: Let me tell you listeners, Jeff and I are having quite the experience here in Valanari. It's a beautiful region with all sorts of culture that we're not used to in Churchma- including the predominant Elven population. I had heard that most of the population here was some sort of Elven mix, but to hear that nearly 70 percent of their population was Elves wasn't something that I was ready for.

JC: You couldn't be more right, I too was quite taken aback when I saw how many Elves were in attendance at Duran Palace for the Mangolana match this afternoon. That beautiful stadium seats 51,000- and there had to have been at least 35,000 in attendance today- half of which were native Vanorians. I think it's safe to say those Vanorians were even cheering for our Gators.

KB: Those natives had good reason too, because our Gators came onto the pitch ready to put on a show. Within the first fifteen minutes of gameplay the Churchma forwards, Luther, Haage, and Gangi had combined for five shots. Sure they couldn't put one in, but Haage put one just off the top cross bar in the 14th minute that had fans of both teams "ooing-and-awing" in the crowd.

JC: Yes, Churchma definitely had the momentum early on, but in the 20th minute we saw a beautiful clearance from Mangolana goal keeper Alberto Mondragon to Xavier Creighton nearly result in a goal. Creighton positioned himself perfectfly for the deep pass, took the ball off of one hop, lobbed it over Churchma defender Nick Kea's head, and had a one-on-one lane to the goal. Blazing speed from Churchma defender Terrence Seldon saved the shutout, as he raced down the field to force Creighton's shot to be just wide right of the goal by two feet.

KB: There is no doubt that Seldon is our best defender. His pure athleticism and speed make up for the technical errors that he makes. Before he can have a shot at making the National Club, he'll have to clean up that kind of play, but for now, he's going to be able to get away with little mistakes because of how fast he runs.

JC: Seldon's run-out to catch Mangolana's Creighton sure did get under the skin of their squad though, because they felt that Creighton's shot was wide right because Seldon knocked him off of the ball. There was evidence of that as Mangolana's Kelley Roberts about blew out Churchma forward Antoine Luther's knee in the 23rd minute while attempting to make a slide tackle.

KB: No doubt about it, that was definitely worthy of a yellow card. Roberts is lucky that he didn't get a red card for that one. But Churchma defender Nick Kea was not going to let Mangolana get away with the "should-have-been-red" play, so he earned a yellow card for himself just three minutes later.

....more to come.

Match Highlights
23': Roberts (Mangolana) Yellow Card

Well there's a bright side. As I walked into the stadium, 45 minutes before kick off of Swalenia's first match of the DBC I found a Swalenian shirt in the bin, without blood stains on it! So went to the bathroom, then went up to join the 4,000 Swalenian fans behind the Octinstine goalposts. We were all chanting "Ar mormyd dr" when kick off happened, and the atmosphere was ecstatic.

The first ten minutes were fairly even, the only chance coming in the 8th minute, where Rhys William navigated the ball down the left flank, playing in an inch-perfect cross to the head of Peter Walker, who just couldn't get his head fully on it, and it went narrowly wide.

The next chance for Swalenia came in the 20th minute, when Barry Wills curled in a corner to the far post, where George Ryd put the four yard shot over the bar.

The breakthrough came in the 30th minute, when a long free-kick from Ryn Kerry from deep in Swalenia's half got a flick on off Gary Wilson, and Rhys Williams was 1 on 1 with Octinstine's keeper, and he calmly lifted it over his head. 1-0. The Swalenians were ecstatic, we were shouting and cheering and singing, blocking out the neutral Valanoran fans.

The rest of the half was controlled by Swalenia's midfield, with the occasional long shot from Walker or Williams.

The half time whistle went and the Swalenian players trotted off down the tunnel. I went down with Bob to get a beer, and we discussed the match with two Valanorans, who were very friendly.

We returned to our seats in time for the second half to see 18 year old Alex Baker on the field in place of Rhys Williams, and instantly we could see he was a great talent. Within two minutes he had received a long ball from defence, and he received the ball, turning an Octinstine defender and had a long shot from 20 yards, skimming the bar.

I was talking for the next five minutes with another Swalenian from Biyrdi Island, and I could barely understand what he was saying half the time, becuase of his accent, but we got through it.

The Second goal was one to remember. An Octinstine defender brought down Gareth Harbyrdd 25 yards from the box, and a free kick was given. Luke Paterson stood up to take it. He blasted it so perfectly it barely seemed to turn in the air. It moved over the wall, then dipped back into the net in the top right, leaving the keeper stunned.

The crowd went crazy. 69mins, 2-0

A chance to make it 3-0 cane when Alex Baker weaved his way into the area and chipped across the 6 yard box, but Barry Wills missed the easy header.

The full time whistle went and we all left the stadium. We discussed the game over another few beers with some different Valanorans.

All in all it was a great performance by some individual players. Some stars of tge future. Baker, Paterson, Williams, but accuracy and goal-scoring needed to be improved...

Heather’s Space

Hey what’s up! I’m Heather Stewart and I have been selected to send some reports to you from our Di Bradini Cup games out here in Valanora. It’s an honor to do this, and I will be hoping to use this tournament to catapult myself to playing on the senior team. That is what we are all in this for, to get a taste of international competition and hopefully to play with the big team. I have been told many times that I should consider myself an automatic to be on the team since I was named the captain here, but I can’t think of anything more ludicrous, really. I still have to continue to work hard on improving all aspects of my game before I can play on the senior squad. Though I cannot pretend that I don’t think about it. As a defender, my attention goes right away to the last Dagan roster, from World Cup 57, and wonder what holes might open up. It was a pretty young team overall, and in the back, you have Kat and Syd (Katrina Murphy and Sydney Lieberman) who would be 27 for World Cup 58, and Julie McCarthy, who would be 25. Right there, that’s three of four starters, with the fourth being Rachel Fulton, who’ll be 31 and surely will play at least one more World Cup. There is depth, and technically two players would have been eligible to play here in Di Bradini Cup 20 still, but coach Bateman did not think they had any more to prove at the junior level, so that is why Victoria Goodman and Michelle Chevalier are not here if you were wondering about that. With that, I’m really not sure how much room there really is, especially at my position, so I can’t listen to the people who think my getting to that level is a mere formality. It’s pretty impressive, though, when you think of the depth that we have in this country right now and Cassadagan soccer figures to be a strong contender for several Cups down the road.

Looking to what we have here in Valanora, I have been asked what I think about what happened to Jessica Schanke, who wrote the opening blog entry here. For me, that was too long ago to really say it affects me. It’s a shame, and I feel really bad for her that she had to go through with it, but I don’t think that people on the current team would have even thought about it if it didn’t get mentioned in the national media all the time, and then with the Queen originally disapproving of us coming here. The only Valanora I know is the one that won the World Cup right after we won our two. When we first arrived in Kareen, we didn’t do anything that the other 39 teams didn’t; we just checked the schedule and got excited to represent the country. One of the best traditions of the senior team is the Pink Cup, contested between us, Bears Armed, Dorian and Sonya, and Jeruselem; so to play Bears Armed right off the bat was very exciting. Forgetting the fact that playing ursines was in itself unique, it was a familiar opponent of ours in World Cup, and right away the honor of wearing the pink and black set in. We had a great result, winning 4-1, which is par for the course whenever we play Bears Armed, it seems. It seems as though it’s always a rout: either us blowing them out, or them doing it to us! Our next game is against The FSSO. Unlike Bears Armed, we have never played The FSSO in anything. Ever. They’ve been around and if I recall right I think they debuted in the World Cup we hosted, but it might have been the one prior to that. It can’t be a letdown game because of that though, as they have steadily climbed the rankings, and their senior team placed 3rd in a tough qualifying group, signaling their rise, and the young players they field in the Di Bradini Cup take up after them and try to follow their lead. I think it will be a good game, though I have to admit to liking the way we look right now. I know it’s the holiday season plus there are other sports you could be watching but don’t forget us!

A new feature of many colors
We're always looking to make our editions a bit more intresting and now it's time for us to present our latest new idea. You may have noticed that the color of our titles has always been purple. Well for tommorow's edition onwards this color will be changed every day. The new color will be decided in the previous edition in the new feature called "Color of the Day" where our edition team will choose a color that has some meaning at that moment in time. Hope you enjoy it and you can find out the first ever color past the mono-purple era at the end of this publishing.

One goal, four goals, the perfect start
It was all smiles for Kernansquillec at The Black Jungle after Emily Jacob got her new job off to the perfect start with a dominating win over Juche Philippines. Most of the 30,000 seats were full as the teams lined up for the national anthems. Kernansquillec were in their traditional green and white kits while Juche Philippines were in red. The Green Foals were fastest out of the boxes and began to pile on the pressure. Nicole Sharp was unlucky to see her curling effort just miss the target after Corona was beaten. But her next chance was to prove more effective as she rose highest to head Lilac's cross down past the keeper to give the Green & Whites the lead after just quarter an hour played. The Juche lot did get some half chances to equalise, namely a good team move down the left wing but Johnson's shot wasn't accurate enough as Larivière thankfully saw it our for a goal kick. After half time Kernansquillec went though the gears as Juche Philippines looked close to crumbling. Kai Holmes didn't hesitate when Lilac put him though between Solly and Jang Suk Won and calmly slotted home the Kers' second. The coach made her first changes to see the game out with Suutari-Jääskö and Stanley replacing Holmes and Iqbal. KSJ must have been charged like a spring as with his first touch he danced past Rafael before striking to ball with so much power it looked as if it would break though the net. With just minutes left there was still time for Sharp to get her second, her effort going in after a deflection. A very easy win which equals the Green and Whites biggest win at U21 level. But much tougher games lye ahead. But first their's a nice day off.

Two keepers, one goal
There are two keepers in the squad this year: Zacharie Larivière and Patience Caron. Zacharie currantly enjoys his club football at Rennes. Well "enjoys" is questionable as he is now on the transfer list looking to move abroad. The 19 year old had already played in 2 Di Bradini Cup though he could only make the bench last time when the Kers finished 4th. However he did help his team reach the World Cup finals after getting the n.1 shirt from Stuart Henderson. Patience Caron has been the national n.1 since the national team was formed. Despite only participating in one Women's World Cup her team finished in 3rd place. She also got a 4th place finish at the last Di Bradini Cup, the first one she's started. This time the Kernansquillec City shot-stopped has dropped to the bench but manager Emily Jacob has made it clear that it wasn't an easy decision and that it is still likely that she will feature. But it realy is a battle of the keepers on the training pitch as both look for that one spot on the starting XI. One great save at traning, or a poor decision on the field can be the differance between starting and watching the game for the side lines. Playing goalkeeper can realy be the toughest place to be.

Transfer fever
After a long hard fought domestic season most of the players are enjoying a nice break before the pre-season trainings restart and the matches return. However some players aren't enjoying their break to it's capacity as they wait to see if they will get the dream transfer they want. We're taking a look at some of the best known Kernansquillecan players in this part who have been placed on the transfer list. Others may still go, some of these may stay, but change is on it's way. The biggest name by far to be on the transfer list is Zacharie Larivière. The Rennes goalkeeper hasn't been happy at the club after a poor season. He's now looking for a move abroad to improve himself. At the age of just 19 his best is still to come so this move will need to be well chosen if it is to be succesful for Zacharie and for his new club. Also on the transfer list is Rémy Francoeur. The 22 year old attacking midfielder has been deemed surplus to requierments at Guingamp Men and will now be looking to move on. Quite a few other players such as defender E.Iqbal, right midfielder Tiziana Padovano, and 24 year old striker J.Grosventre who is hoping to increase his chances of getting into the international squad. More and more names will be added to this list and KERFA is expected to annonce a full transfer list within a day or so. For now all the clubs will be hoping to get some money in so they can invest in some new blood.

Color of the Day
This Di Bradini Cup, the 20th edition, is being hosted in Valanora. It's only the 7th time the tournament is being hosted outside Starblaydia. The first time was during the 7th edition hosted in Candelaria And Marquez. Secristan won the final 3-2 against Nethertopia. So to remember the first host other than Starblaydia the color of the day will be night blue.

The Emplor Sport – Comment
FSSO’s youngsters a force to be reckoned with as they duel with the best
By Lewis Mitchelry

Haitire Memorial Stadium, Capri (36,493 attendance)
FSSO Under 21’s – 1
Thomas 60

Valladares Under 21’s – 0

In a spray of light drizzle, the FSSO Under 21 side led by Dimitri Campbell have shown that they have the promise to challenge the ‘Golden Generation’ of FSSO first team players, who have gained national acclaim for getting their side on to the international scene.

Perhaps the most promising thing about this victory is who it was against; the Valladares youth team, which has been quoted as being the successor to the current set up once the 60th World Cup comes around. But in my view, the most encouraging aspect of the performance was how confidently they played. This may not seem like a huge factor but at their first DBC appearance this youth team wobbled, possibly suffering football’s version of stage fright. But tonight they played almost like the first team – confident, aggressive, pass and move football. Needless to say it worked against a very good Valladares side.

The first five minutes or so were very cagey, Valladares seemingly waking from their slumber and the FSSO adapting to the occasion. But crucially the FSSO gained confidence quickly and managed to create several early chances in a rather scrappy opening period, the most notable one being a vicious long range shot from Bill Riley. It struck the post and went wide, but it was the same classy long range finishing that he showed at the Cup of Harmony with an early goal against Erathore.

However Valladares young players are given such lofty expectations for a reason, and they quickly regained some semblance of control in a rather scrappy first half. James Carrick and Carlos Alberto Saez are a very dangerous front pair, and before long Carrick had hit the post too. In the 37th minute he controlled a Saez switching ball with ease, before rounding defender Michael Robertson and sending a swirling shot towards goal, which hit the inside of the post and rebounded to grateful keeper Rick Connors.

The second half was much more convincing, especially from the FSSO. Carrick and Saez continued to pressurise the defence but a solid backline that could break away quickly began to break down their rhythm, while the midfield behind them struggled to retain possession as the FSSO midfield chased every loose ball. It seemed inevitable that one side would score, and the goal unsurprisingly came from an FSSO counter attack. Martin Delgado must have thought he had plenty of time to cross when he made a run down the right wing in the 60th minute, but he overestimated just how much time and space lay ahead.

Colin Collymore tackled him and played a delicious long ball forward to Chad Parsons, who suddenly was running through the other half with only Fernando Gonzalez ahead of him. Gilbert Pelaez backtracked to cover the gap, forcing Parsons to slow down, but they were both caught out by an inspired lob by Parsons which fell perfectly for the sprinting Sam Thomas, who almost fell over himself at high speed as he slammed the ball first time under Charles Eccelston.

It certainly didn’t kill the game, but from then on the FSSO seemed like they wouldn’t lose the lead. Apart from a cheeky Gilbert Rosenberg shot from 30 yards in the last minute, which Rick Connors saved superbly, Valladares didn’t really have a convincing shot on goal. However this can’t be totally attributed to a good performance by the FSSO defence; the brilliant Carrick and Saez were let down a bit by some lacklustre midfield play behind them.

The FSSO didn’t have many more chances either but perhaps they should have made it 2-0 in the dying seconds of the game when they were awarded a penalty, which originated from the counter attack which followed Rosenberg hitting the post. Nicky Martin was blatantly fouled by substitute Aaron Wallenmme as he entered the box, but Geoff Day’s penalty was poor, easily saved by Eccelston.

It was a good day for FSSO Youth Coach Dimitri Campbell, who will feel his aggressive strategy has been vindicated after some heavy criticism from areas of the press, including this paper. It’s a long way to go before we can get over-excited though. As for Jean-Paul Villegas, Valladares own youth team coach, he will have some definite concerns about a lacklustre midfield performance, but will not be fazed too much, considering the good performance of the opposition and the particularly strong performance of James Carrick.

Kagdazka and Pazhujebu's DBC 20 U-21 Squad Released

Qichechumadia Zhabi - Who will be the stars of the future for your Urchins? Will it be this generation or the next that some day sees wisteria and purple ribbons hanging on the World Cup trophy? Who knows? But we can't get too ahead of ourselves; these players have to grow up first, and need to get some important-match exposure before their careers can move ahead. Thus, the Di Bradini Cup.

Long ago, in the nearly-lost depths of history, The Pazhujeb Islands participated in a Di Bradini Cup. It was, in fact, the first international tournament they ever participated in. Jaime Oberlander, the Starblaydi legend, had been the manager of the squad at the time, and would eventually lead them to a Baptism of Fire championship. Obviously a Baptism of Fire trophy won't be in the cards for these players this time around, though.

This Walruses (the nickname for the K&P U21s) side features two central midfielders already well known to fans of the Urchins, as both Kkrhumoq Ztnkk and Eduard Winogradsky accepted invitations to the team despite the fact that, being members of the full national squad, they would have been well within their right to decline. As with the Urchins, Winogradsky will stay slightly more defensive and Ztnkk will venture forward a bit more. Winogradsky is the captain.

Up front, the trifecta of Pudibhišu, Durai, and Sajid looks quite strong as well, and ought to score a few goals. The back line is experienced (well, for being twenty-one or younger) and ready to go. In fact, the only thing wrong with this team is the goalkeeping situation. Radoslav Luzhkov, howler merchant extraordinaire for his club Krevetka, is the best option on the table. This shouldn't have even been an issue; just one year ago Yevgeniy Oistrakh was still alive and would have fit the role perfectly. Unfortunately, he is no longer with us and the Walruses will have to make do.

Goalkeepers:
Radoslav Luzhkov - 19 Years Old - Club: Krevetka
Mr. Luzhkov will be wearing number one and has Kagdaz nationality.
Elena Fedotova - 20 Years Old - Club: FKM
Ms. Fedotova will be wearing number sixteen and has Kagdaz nationality.

Umashankar Srivastava - 21 Years Old - Club: Angels

Assu Danquah - 17 Years Old - Club: Zhevassi

Mr. Rachaqachi will be wearing number thirteen and has Pazhujebi nationality.

Midfielders:

Mr. Ztnkk will be wearing number ten and has Kagdaz nationality.
Mikhail Drygin - 19 Years Old - Club: Nekromanti
Mr. Vengerov will be wearing number fourteen and has Kagdaz nationality.
Lazhthuthezha Jujazhedhi - 19 Years Old - Club: Gimnasia
Ms. Jujazhedhi will be wearing number fifteen and has Pazhujebi nationality.
Osya Instinsky - 20 Years Old - Club: Yastrabi
Mr. Instinsky will be wearing number seventeen and has Kagdaz nationality.
Pavel Vengerov - 21 Years Old - Club: Vulkan
Mr. Vengerov will be wearing number eighteen and has Kagdaz nationality.

Strikers:
Chalia Sajid - 19 Years Old - Club: Gimnasia
Ms. Sajid will be wearing number eight and has Pazhujebi nationality.
Ouamchi Pudibhišu - 19 Years Old - Club: Therakham
Mr. Pudibhišu will be wearing number nine and has Pazhujebi nationality.
Hridayaja Durai - 20 Years Old - Club: Zhevassi
Mr. Durai will be wearing number eleven and has Pazhujebi nationality.
Sergei Astapkovich - 18 Years Old - Club: Krevetka
Mr. Astapkovich will be wearing number nineteen and has Kagdaz nationality.
Ouagha Mebhav - 19 Years Old - Club: Capitolians (The Kytler Peninsulae)
Mr. Mebhav will be wearing number twenty and has Pazhujebi nationality.
Thavjiv Šeruthuvu - 18 Years Old - Club: Therakham
Mr. Šeruthuvu will be wearing number twenty-one and has Pazhujebi nationality.
Ijev’inthibku Širharbidhiku - 20 Years Old - Club: Yastrabi
Mr. Širharbidhiku will be wearing number twenty-two and has Pazhujebi nationality.

Manager:
Ghavbhu Vhi - 44 Years Old
Along with Oghu’ghabuzheh Palšikar (now manager at Vezhidrupa ZL), Ghavbhu Vhi was an assistant manager to Brutušam Erassi (now manager of the adult Federation national team) while they were all at Urnabhi. Their coaching successes are still renowned throughout the land, as an insignificant little outfit (promoted to the top flight on a complete fluke) flourished in the First Division and remains there still, even after their coaches' departures. Vhi is a disciple of Erassi's overall philosophy, highly attacking but with focus on long balls and physical power. This philosophy introduces a requirement for a strong number nine forward, but luckily, experienced Therakham tough guy Ouamchi Pudibhišu is a perfect fit for such a role.

Kits:
Image

There are three main kits used by the Kagdazka and Pazhujebu U-21 Walruses: two homes and one away. The wisteria and green colors are used when the team plays in Kagdazka, whereas the purple and black is used when they visit Pazhujebu. The white and wisteria is used for away matches. For neutral venue tournaments, like the DBC, the team will rotate between the three kits.

Style Modifier:
+5

Formation:
Ghavbhu Vhi's team plays in a full-out attack 3-4-3, the same formation used by Brutušam Erassi for the adult national team. The formation sees a bank of three defenders across the back, though a wingback is permitted to push forward if one or both central midfielders drop back to cover. Ahead is another flat bank of players, with four midfielders. Ahead of this, however, are three forwards whose positions will be highly fluid, rotating around the pitch at various points during the match. One or more of these attackers are always powerful number-nine-style strikers. In this case, Pudibhišu is really the only centre-forward-type player in the starting eleven, though on the bench are Astapkovich and Mebhav, two rather towering specimens.

Information for the Foreign Mahathu Herald Reader

First of all, thanks for buying our paper! We're a rather small outfit as there are a couple of big Pazhujebi-language papers in Mahathu we have to compete with, so we appreciate the business. Secondly, you have probably gathered that Kagdazka and Pazhujebu have two very distinct identities, and you're right. Here's a quick run-down.

Kagdazka is a very cold Siberian territory inhabited by largely ethnic Russians. Wisteria is their national color. They have fair skin, blue eyes, and blonde or brown hair. They speak Russian and often travel via dogsled and brave the snow as part of their daily lives.

Pazhujebis are the descendants of North Indian expellees of Rome. They settled the Pazhujeb Islands (now known as Pazhujebu) about two millenia ago. They have light to medium brown skin, dark hair, and brown eyes. All Pazhujebis, men and women, wear purple turbans at almost all times.

Despite both having regional languages (Russian and Pazhujebi respectively), Kagdaz and Pazhujebi people alike often speak good English. As part of a program established by the now deposed feminist dictatorship, citizens were required to learn English so as to create single de facto official language for the country.

Never refer to a citizen of the Federation as a "Federationer," it is considered very offensive. If you aren't sure whether someone is Kagdaz or Pazhujebi, just pick one arbitrarily.

There is a metric ton of other information about the Federation available on the country's NSwiki page, including more on the full adult national team and on the country's domestic league. Please feel free to give it a read.

Well, damn
Ipeland lose to Waltzing Matilda

Ipeland got off to the worst of starts in the Di Brandini Cup, losing 1-0 to unknown Waltzing Matilda. Matilda didn't provide the team names, so the information is very limited. No. 7 scored Waltzing Matilda's goal on 67 minutes.

Ipeland got off to a good start in the first half, Will Kope heading over the bar from a cross by Allardyce in the first minute, the one of many chances in the first fifteen minutes for Ipeland. Ipeland came their closest to a goal in the 20th minute, Pacey Gebber's shot cleared off the line by a defender for Waltzing Matilda, before a shot coming in from Gary Megson was comfortably saved by the keeper. Waltzing Matilda came back with a bang, a smooth counter attack leading to a great save by Kevin Nolan. The last 20 minutes until half time was made up of fierce middle of the pitch battles. The half time whistle ended an exciting, yet undeceive first half, the score being 0-0.

Matilda got off to a blazing start in the second half, No. 8 shooting from the halfway line right from kick off, which fortunately for Ipeland, went over the bar. Matilda also went close in the 55th minute, No. 7's free kick produced a spectacular save by Nolan, who tipped it round past the post. Matilda broke the deadlock on the 67th minute, No. 7 heading in from a cross. Ipeland pressed for the last 23 minutes of the half, but it was all in vain. The final whistle blew, the Waltzing Matilda fans roared, and the remaining Ipeland fans went back to the hotel.

Column: Our football buff gives his opinion this week's game
Margaret is a fickle old girl, isn't she? We hoped to come into this tournament, thrashing Waltzing Matilda and setting ourselves up for the game with Cafundéu, instead we are picking ourselves up from a quite humiliating loss. You have to give credit to Waltzing Matilda though, they did play above expectations for most people. Ipeland played horribly at the start of the second half, the only good player on the pitch being Nolan, who made some good saves. The rest were running round like headless chickens. The goal woke up Ipeland, and they started to push, but they couldn't get the final pass right. We need to improve the attacking force more and massively better the passing.

Di Bradini Cup opener ends with defeat for the "Ducks"

By: Alan Rosero,
Blogger from "The National Kickoff"

CAPRI, VALANORA (VP) - So that's it. The Valladar U-21 national football team (nicknamed as the "Ducks", in contrast to the senior team, who are the "Alligators"...anyways I don't understand what the relation between a duck and an alligator is) have lost their first match in this Di Bradini Cup against the FSSO U-21s by a goal to nil. Well, it's not a heavy loss, and it's just the start, so I think Jean-Paul Villegas still has margin for maneuver to move things around.

FSSO, our first rival, are undergoing a renovation process as well, and their U-21 squad are also expected to be the successor of their senior squad, therefore the match between both teams was expected to be entertaining, but tough for both of them. And the first minutes showed us that this FSSO team were going to be a hard nut to crack, as our rivals tried to exert pressure over us. Eventually, their first chances were generated during the five opening minutes, with Bill Riley and his shot hitting the post being the most notable one. And what about us? The players took long to wake up, but once they woke up, they regained control and generated some dangerous chances. When James Carrick (yes, that guy who helped the Stars conquer Valladares for the second time last season) and Carlos Alberto Sáez managed to connect, the Ducks had total control and were close to score the first goal of the match (Damned stupid post!). The first half ended nil-nil and none of the two teams looked to be superior to the other one.

The second half brought the confusion to the Valladar squad, Carrick and Sáez didn't shine as they did in the first half, and FSSO's defensive work rendered completely useless the Valladar midfield, depriving both strikers from having a chance to break the stalemate. And, the other team took advantage of one of our countless mistakes in the second half to score the lone goal of the match. Sam Thomas, 60th minute, and the FSSO were already ahead 1-0. From that moment, and apart from Gilbert Rosenberg trying to test Rick Connors from 27 meters in the dying minutes of the game, Valladares posed no significant threat to their opponents, given the fact that the Ducks' midfield ran out of ideas and therefore, the forwards were unable to go to the offense for the remainder of the game. Extra info: From that last attack, FSSO was awarded a penalty, as Aaron Wallemme fouled a FSSO player on the box, but Charles Eccelston saved Valladares from conceding one more goal.

Well, FSSO won doing just the needed, while Valladares could have conceded more goals but luck was with them this time. Next, Valladares will stay in Capri to face the Polar Islandstates, in the Polarians' début in the competition, and for that match, Jean-Paul Villegas will need to correct some things that didn't work in the midfield last night, although he must be satisfied with the effort his strikers did while they could.

Errikesh Times
Di Bradini Cup

It is time for Errikesh to step up to the sporting stage! This modest country has decided to launch a new sports program including all football tournaments (well most), ice hockey and board games and table top sports (like foosball).

So now to show the squad. They are all amateurs, skimmed as the best young players in the Errikeshan league. Although they're not too happy about the no pay thing. The coach is Ulrik Victors, an ex top division striker. He scored about 12 goals in his 30 appearances for Selliay Olympic. He then went on to become their strikers coach as he suffered from a knee injury. He then went on to coach them to a league victory and two cup victories. After that he was called upon to serve Errikesh as the national coach.

Lawrence Thomas.Blog.com/sports & life: Edition 4, part 1

8 hours of hell. And counting. Valanoras road system needs serious renovation. Me and Bob left the hotel today in good time for the ten-hour, 578 mile journey to where-ever Swalenia's next match was. We had been sitting in gridlock for next to four hours. Seventeen bags of crisps, four thermoses of coffee, and one pack of Valanoran, well, we couldn't quite figure it out, but we thought Sugar balls, they had kept us alive.

Several times I had been almost on the verge of stepping out of our small four-seat rental car and pushing the entire roll of traffic forward. We had passed three coaches of other teams fans. Cyborg Holland, who had painted there entire bus of the shirt of some player Meitzer, who had apparently scored two goals against Kagdazka and Pujzhebu. Some feat I must say myself.

We had just passed a sign to some service station, where we could stop for some Sugar Balls and Coffee. I pulled in at a parking space and we went inside. I went to the food court for some coffee, whilst Bob went to a News Retailer for some magazines and a Valanoran road guide. Unfortunately, it was in Valanoran. Great Move there Bob.

Then disaster struck.

As Bob walked outside, he asked me Where's the car?, I said it was by the bins, but he said it wasn't. I ran outside, and to my horror, it was gone. Stone dead gone.

Crap.

As I write, I am sitting in an Internet Café in some godawful town in a foreign land, next to a guy with a breathing disorder and woman nursing a young baby, that WON'T STOP CRYING! I have an energy drink next to me (my fifth today), and $150 cash left, my cards were in the car, as with our passports, and form of ID, all our luggage, and my Rhys Williams signed shirt I got yesterday. Whoever nicked my car will make a fortune. Bob is currently engaged in conversation with the Café owner.

If anyone out there is reading this, and wants to help me out. Come get me or at least wire me some money, please, just to get to the embassy (750 miles away)

Thanks, Lawrence

Young Dragons defeat Young Walruses

Cyborg Holland recorded a memorable win today against giants Kagdazka & Puzhjebu.

The Dragons fielded their strongest side, with the exception of of Captain, Daniel van Couvenhevan, who suffered an ankle injury training yesterday.

Harold Meitzer was star of the match, scoring 2 excellent goals against Kagdaz Keeper Lukhzov. The first came in the 17th minute when he struck a 15 yard shot off a well worked move built from deep in defence. His second came in the 2nd half, when he managed to turn in a scrappy corner from 3 yards.

K & P were gravely affected after midfielder Ztnkk got a red card after a small punch up after he tackled Canter particularly badly, this also resulted in a yellow card for Canter.

A great start for the DBC for the Young Dragons, and they will look to build in their next match
