A New World, Where Impossible Is (SLFT/PMT/FAnT) (IC)

Postby Rainara » Sun Jul 17, 2011 12:51 am

A Rainarian Space Explorer team arrived at this planet to see if it is suitable for human life. The landing zone was designated as L-01, which was to be the center of the first city of the planet. However, not knowing that it had orcs, elves, medievel humans and other magical stuff. When they proceeded at the atmosphere of the planet, the Rainarian control center held its breath as it listened to the transmissions of the team. They landed in the zone and saw that everything was good for human life. Teams of engineers and military personnel have been sent to the area so they can build the city to make it a habitat for civilians.

18 months later.....

First spaceships arrived at L-01 where the population was to live. The city was surrounded by walls as they have seen creatures (Goblins & Stuff) in the forest. To the west of the landing zone was a beach, which was not surrounded by a wall but was closely monitored by the nations cooperating with the program. Soldiers guarded the walls so that
if an unknown creature tries to attack them, they would have a chance. However, unknown to them, organized races were in the planet, and they were seemingly a threat....

OOC: If you want to sign-up pls go to this thread - viewtopic.php?f=5&t=128177
That is also the OOC Thread. Also, friendly people from outside of the city will be admitted. The city is heavily guarded however.

Warlord Badrokk of the Def Headz tribe of orcs gathered in commune with the tribe as a whole. The Shaman Wazzdakka spoke for the gods Gork and Mork, while the others presented the current problems at the present and in the long term. Now the final tribe member spoke "Warlord, our scouts observed a group of humans establishing a new town or camp in the wilderness, how should we proceed?" Badrokk pondered for a moment and then said in a rough, loud, and booming voice "Send them a token of peace! We shall be peaceful with them for now...Soon we will claim their town and riches for ourselves!" they all let out a joyous cry and laughter. Tonight there would be a celebration for the new contacts made with the surrounding goblin tribes and they made a sign with a strange meat substances as a peace offering to the humans with a sign next it saying "Dear Hoomies, Dis is a peace offerin' from Warboss Badrokk and Shaman Wazzdakka, in exchange we wont krump ya!"

"We have received an offering from the orcs" A sergeant said. "It's strange meat that has something written on it"
"Well, we're going to have a feast tonight!" Exclaimed the commander.
"Shouldn't we inform High Command?" Asked the sergeant.
"Im informing them now, let's wait for their announcement with the orcs, I however do not know what High Command's reaction would be when they find out another organized faction rather than us." Said the commander.

"Well, a peace offering, from another race, that's a surprise." Said a high commander from Rainara.
"Think we can talk to their leaders?" Said another high commander from another nation.
"Hmmm, let me try to send them a letter" Said the high commander from Rainara.

From: L-01 Human Branch
To: Orcs

We would like to meet with you since we have received your peace offering. However, this is optional. We could cooperate with each other
in the future ahead of us with this one talk.

A small scouting party of orcs approached the outskirts of the city. The leader of the group Nob Grotstomppa said quietly "Alright be on your guard we dont know if the humans are totally hostile to us....but be prepared! We dont want to anger them now! After giving up all that Elven flesh!" he lit a torch he had with him. He and his scouts approached a guard on the outskirts of the city and said ((OOC: this is untranslated btw)) "Oi! Hoomie we want to speak wit da' Warboss of 'dis 'ere City!"

New Aeyariss
Colony Population: 6078

Landing Pad Two-Zero

The space-helo, a mixed hybrid between a small space shuttle with a rotary wing, darted closer to the surface of the planet. It was a pretty smooth flight from orbit, and inside of the passenger cabin, Second Lieutenant Ryan Aldren, Number: 6075, took a breathe of relieve. For some reason the atmospheric turbulances experienced during the flight seemed to have caused a mild anxiety, well this man wasn't really fond of flying anyway.

The pilot contacted the traffic controller situated at the towering structure he seen outside, requesting clearance for landing, ordered to Pad 2-0. Situation normal. Then it was over.

"Well Lieutenant told'ya it would be smooth, nothing fancy about this flight." the pilot, First Lieutenant Jessica of Aviation cheerfully emerged.

"Never doubted your flying skills, ma'am. Thanks for the ride." and the junior officer replied. The engines died out, having been safely shut down by Jessica.

"Yeah, welcome, this is as far as we'd go though. Enjoy your tour on this world, I'll tell you it's really amazing here." she winked, and took off somewhere. Well the Lieutenant Ryan never got the chance to say goodbye though, she was pretty attractive for a pilot, but he didn't think it will be the last time he would see her anyway, at least, something made him sensed that way.

He sighed, hoping to catch a last glimpse of that Jessica pilot, but then decided it would be best to continue and report for his duty. Turning 19 a few weeks ago, he was sure that he is among the youngest Knights Officer from the Royal Ranger Regiment to have transferred onto this new theater of operations. Ryan finished his Basic Officer Training Course when he was 18, with quite a distinction as a matter of fact, finishing third best in a class of fifty nine cadets. Received commendation from his own Division Commander, cited as exceptionally capable, competent, and the best tactical commander which some even rumored to have report ahead of his own time.

"And this reassignment got me here?" He sighed again. Entering deeper into the space port. Thinking what harm had he done. G54 though this mission is massive humanitarian program wasn't all that - exciting - he wondered if that is the suitable word here, he missed combat, something he had longed after recovering for his combat wound in space travel. His first assignment was actually as a platoon leader to a Star Marine. That was fun.

But on this world?

Oh boy, this is going to become quite an uneventful 6 months long tour of duty. He thought out loud, stepping into a processing booth, smiling his best to the woman in charge.

He thought wrong.

He was dead wrong.

Several orc hunters were moving by the area of the city of New Aeyariss carrying the game and assorted berries and fungi central to their diet. The lead hunter, Hunta Squigkilla, halted the group to observe the spacecraft landing and dropping off several people. Squigkilla noticed one man in particular who seemed to be the most important of the new group of colonists. He ordered the group to move forward with their bounty towards the Def Headz camp. When the arrived at camp they alerted Warboss Badrokk to the humans presence "Sir", said Squigkilla,"We have observed a smaller human settlement than the one we sent the offering to. We believe that this group of human colonists have a new leader in the form of their own new Warlord. What are your orders sir?" Badrokk grinned "Observe them!" he bellowed "Use our Kommandos and the Runtherdz and their enslaved Grots to observe these new humans!" Later that night 10 camouflaged and well armed orcs took scouting positions above the human settlements while the 3 Runtherdz gathered 3 tamed squigs each as well as 10 goblin slaves each and set up individual scouting camps outside of the city for rest and resupply for the lone scouts.

Chapter 2

Upon completing his arrival processes, Lieutenant Aldren, were escorted to his quarter in the town security compound. Hardly a large base like he usually saw on Earth, but Fort Devaria would do its job just fine. He walked through the open compound, saw a company of his fellow soldiers doing calisthenic on the field nearby. Helo flew overhead, headed for somewhere he didn't know.

At the far outskirt of the city, stood the massive 25 feet tall metal wall. Now that caught his attention.

What do they need this wall for? He wondered. You only need something like this when you are defending - he didn't finish that thought, a humvee pulled over next to him.

"Second Lieutenant Aldren? I'm Sergeant Picassa. The CO sent for you sir. You ought to come with me." The driver said, after he disembarked from the driver seat and snapped off a salute.

"What gives sarge?" Ryan got in but didn't get the answer. He saw the sergeant got his game face on and that tells him something serious must be going on, and beside this sergeant drive in a hurry. A simple stroll would take no more than 15 minutes to their destination, but the ride ended in less than a minute. When the two off team got off, all sort of activity took place in the 'ready hall'.

"What's going on, sergeant? Are we on combat alert?" He said in a rather surprise tone.

"LOCK AND LOAD PEOPLE! We move out in 10!" Some officer shouted. And the crowd, he sees like a platoon strength or so went 'hoorah'. All fully combat geared and armed. Five of the helo just like he was in before, landed outside.

"This way Leftenant." The sergeant led the way, Ryan was still amaze with these sort of activity. There inside the control centre, Lieutenant Colonel Harving was waiting. The two soldier stood at attention, Ryan snapped off a salute and waved down by the superior.

"Good morning afternoon sir." Ryan said.

"What makes you this I had a good day, son? Sit down." He did just that waiting for his new commanding officer to begin.

"So, graduate 3rd in class. Operational experiences in Mars Campaign, wounded once in action - got your Purple Star - so what makes you think you can survive here Lieutenant." It was rather serious.

"Sir?" Ryan hesitated.

"This is a combat zone ranger. People die on this rock everyday."

"I'm sorry sir. I'm afraid I don't get you. I was under the impression that my duty here is simply an occupational and peacetime in nature sir."

"Well son, I am afraid you're wrong."

Meanwhile, in the control center, one of the operator detected something odd, scanner picked up movement outside of the town wall...

The orcs had taken their positions above the city. One of the Kommandoes noticed a shiny metal object on the ground. He picked up the shiny metal object and threw it over the 25 foot tall steel wall. Other Kommandoes found the shiny metal objects and did something similar. Some threw and hit the steel wall itself shattering the objects into hundreads of pieces. The runtherdz and their goblin slaves and tamed squig had set up three hidden base camps in the forest. These three camps consisted of about 5 tents and 1 small watch tower, the orcs in charge of the camps were giving orders to the goblins giving them guard duty and cook as well as other jobs such a hunter and gatherer in separate rotations. The Kommandoes were on the lookout for any movement inside or outside the wall when a helicopter flew over them. They then saw several vehicles and men move around inside of the gates of the wall shouting "Hoorah!" when one man yelled something. One of the orcs said "What da hell does 'Oora mean?" the runtherdz and their goblin slaves watched as the helicopter flew over head and one sent a runner back to the tribal camp. The slave informed Badrokk of what he had seen. Badrokk ordered the cooperative goblin engineers to construct new siege engines due to the fact that their last siege engines were destroyed in ransacking and looting the destroyed Elven city of Ores'ka. The tribal warriors numbering in around the tens of thousands spread word of a new WAAAAAGH! In the making amongst themselves. Other tribes soon heard of this and came to Badrokks tribe offering their support in the even of a WAAAAAGH! The orcs, strong and brutal as they were, had little in the way of accuracy when it came to ranged weapons and had a firm policy that having more catapults and bows means being more accurate. So lots of warmachines were made for the orcs by the goblins and the Orc engineers themselves. The orcs prepared for the worst while Badrokk formulated a plan.... He had a few warriors hide out near the city while the main force prepared back at camp....

Most Holy Lair of the Wise Dragon Council
12 old, yet huge dragons, capable of tremendous power and givers of wisdom, all laid by what seemed to be an overly-large campfire. "I am sure these new....species are not capable of killing our race. If they do prove deadly, the Orcs can handle them." A blue dragon with a white, whispery beard spoke. "But they are not from this world! Precautions must be taken and we must make peace with them if possible! For all we know, they could have weapons capable of obliterating us!" A green dragon wielding a giant cane said in a scared tone. "I say we declare war immediately! Kill them before they have the chance of doing anything! The Orcs could not possibly win by themselves if the species are capable of such power!" A red dragon with fire blazing in his eyes yelled harshly. "ENOUGH!" A pure, black & white dragon spoke to them all. "We must agree on something. War will cost lives, but so may peace. What information do we have on them?" "We know they came in on these flying metal animals. They lit up as they landed, and more of these species came out. There were small ones, which looked like babies, and big ones, which seemed to have matured. They may have come from a different planet my liege." A purple dragon bowed towards the black & white dragon as he reported. Yi'n Ya'ng spoke in a quiet, soft voice. "They may have untold power. Our gods will be the only thing to save us. We must prepare our people for the fight if this race we shall call, 'human', proves to be aggressive. Peace must be our first priority. Send negotiaters to both the Orcs and Humans. We may need the Orcs to help us if these humans prove vile. The Orcs have lived in peace with us for centuries. Surely they shall not abandon us." Yi'n then whisked back to his cave, as he yelled. "Meeting Adjourned!" All of the dragons went back to their respective caves, except for the red dragon, who proceeded to go to the nearest village, called the Village of Sacred Fire, due to it being closest to the largest volcanoe and shrine on the planet. He was preparing the clan of the Fiery Dragons for war, which he predicted was to come.

"Humans? With sticks that spit fire?"

"Yes, sir. They have landed in some sort of craft."

Elderion then turned to see his weapons.

Warboss Badrokk listened to the dragon emissary intently. "We'z Deff Headz want da 'oomies teknology. It intriguez uz. My Big Mek's say dat dese 'oomies are more powerful 'dan dose 'uvver 'oomies wit der swords and stuffz." The Goblin or "Grot" as the orks called them translated "He says the We, the Death Heads tribe, want their technology as well as slaves for their technology intrigues us. The head engineer or, "Big Mek" as they are known, says that these new humans are much more advanced and powerful than humans as we know them." Badrokk listened as the grot translated it into draconic and then said "We'z be willun to fight da 'oomies wit all our dakka. We'z orkz be made fer fightin' and winnin'." The grot translated once more "We are willing to fight these new humans with all of our might and fire power. We orks are made for two things, you know....Fighting and Winning." The orks then show the emissary their new war machine the kannon a rather large bulky macihne that fires iron kannonballz "Dis 'ere be wit what we crush da 'oomies wit! Dey will fear da name Badrokk foreva!" The grot once again translated for his grand master "This here kannon will crush the humans and their walls! They will fear the name Badrokk forever!"

Yi'n Ya'ng's Cave
"Yi'n!" The purple dragon slinked into the room. Yi'n's eyes fluttered as he raised his head sleepily. "What is it, Shing?" He yawned and stretched his body. "A scout from the Air Dragons has reported that the Orcs are preparing for some sort of attack on the humans! We can't tell if the Orcs shall kill them all or if the Humans will use them for targeting practice. What would you have us do?" Shing quickly reported. Yi'n gave the look of suprise. "But I thought the Orcs said they wouldn't attack them! What tribe was it that is commanding the attack?" "The Death Headz Tribe, my liege. Led by Badrokk the Ruthless." Yi'n shook his head as Shing spoke of him. "Badrokk, reckless as usual. His thirst for power hasn't been quenched yet. However, we could use their help to examine the strength of the humans. Send the War Dragon. Have him go to Badrokk with 10 Small dragons after he has begun gathering the armies. I want to make sure he does not die, for I have plans for him." Once Yi'n finished, Shing only bowed, and replyed "Yes my liege." He proceeded to fly off to tell the War Dragon his new orders. Before it was too late.

Badrokk let out a deep guttural grunt to the dragons sent here. He was neither pleased nor displeased with their presence here. He had gathered many tribes here, from all over the continent to take place in a large Waaaaagh! against the second wave of new humans. Badrokk sharpened his large battle axe along with the other Warbosses. He was the largest most terrifying of the lot of them, so he was made Warboss of the Waaaaaaaagh! his engineers had built three more kannons out of their excess iron. With the final of the cannons built and the kannon balls ready, called for council with his shamans, main lieutenants, and the dragons. He began to speak in the large tent "We'z orks see dese 'ere 'oomies as threat ta our existence! We'z been givin da 'uver 'oomies a good krumpin! Dese 'oomies howeva...dey are a different breed all togeva! We must end 'dem now!" Badrokk then let out a loud, phlegm filled, spit showering, guttural roar as the other lieutenants and shamans roared their war cry's as well. The translator grot once again translated for the dragons " We orks see theses here humans as a threat to our existence! We have been givin the less advanced humans a good thumping for a while now! The new humans however.....they are a different breed altogether! We must end them now! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

OOC: Just pretend it was the building of and finishing of your new cities and colony I guess. And that after those 18 months, you found out there were other natives but never spoke with them. There. :p Problem solved yes?
IC:
Orc Territory, Supposed 'War Meeting'
Vhiong looked at the translater. This whole meeting, the Orcs proved to him that they were uncivilized, only obsessed with their own gains. "Tell Badrokk that the Dragon Council will support him if he proves himself worthy. We dragons shall not waste blood on a war that will not be won. He may use the dragons I have brought with me, and 20 Dragons of the Wind Tribe. Talk to them, and they will provide your armies with air support." He shook his head as he spoke. Yi'n wanted to see how the humans fought, if they were truely a threat to the Dragons. The last Orcish-Dragon war, many Orc Tribes were killed, while many Dragon Tribes were decimated. Since then, Yi'n had risen to become the Lord of Dragons. His Fiery Dragon Tribe was the dominant one in all the land, with every other tribe swearing loyalty to them. They sent represantatives, who were shown in the Wise Dragon Council. Each tribe was responsible for a certain job in the council, specific to their race of dragon. The Fiery Dragons were naturally warlike, with the powers of fire and strength greater than all the others. So they had the job of war. So on and so forth. Yi'n had negotiated peace with the Orcs, in return for giving them some land. For they had islands dominated across the world. Their nesting places were secure. Land near one of the few active volcanoes was not much of a sacrifice. This volcanoe, the land of the Fiery Dragons, contained something precious to the dragons. It would be discovered in this war. "I will not assist in battle goblin, for the Council's power cannot be used unless for self-defense. Report to me with your gains against the humans, and we shall see what our Council decides. If technology is what you need, talk to the leader of the Wind Tribe. She will provide you with it." With that he looked at Badrokk. "May you be blessed with the power of the Fire Eternal." With that, a wisp of fire went out from his mouth. It floated towards Badrokk, until it touched him. As it began disappearing, Badrokk gained a glow of orangeish-fire, a glow of power. "You have gained power from the Fiery Dragons Tribe. Your strength, shall be even greater. Your resilience, harder to pierce. Your already commendable courage and fortitude, greater than any Orc could hope to have. Many more blessings from the Dragons will be sent if you prove yourself. We wish you luck, Orc Warlord, in your victory over them." With that, Vhiong flew off towards the Volcanoe, making sure his fire was seen by the humans. He was preparing to send the Dragon Armies to help the Orcs, for he knew their strength. Badrokk and his army would prevail this time. For he was blessed with the power of the Fire Eternal. Only by the Fiery Dragons however. Its true power would be revealed to him soon.
