Ok well you should probably be aware that "traitors to the state" is the same thing as "people who disagree with the ruling elite." Furthermore, purging people with 'undesirable' political beliefs won't rid you of those beliefs - it will simply drive them underground and foster violence and unrest.

Other way round. Communism has been humanity's modus operandi for tens of thousands of years. The earliest possible opportunity for organised capitalism occurred after the formation of large, sedentary, agricultural settlements, which began appearing around 10,000 years ago. Even with the very optimistic assumption that we've been using capitalism for as long as physically possible, communism outlasts it four times over.
