Chapter 24: Terrible Times

After President Sampson's rise to power, everything seemed to be well. However, everything wasn't. Nazi rebels continued to launch raids against remote colonies and military bases, a group of Dinosaurs dedicated to established a state completely dedicated to classic Italian Fascism, calling themselves "The Tyrannos", began raiding military outposts, most of them staffed entirely by Humans, a prominent female politician advocating Fascism, named "Princess" Diana Davidson, had recently begun gaining popularity amongst the people for her charisma and her attractiveness, and worse, the UDR was on the move again, building up their strength after their humiliation during the Second Nazi Dinosaur War. And, as if that wasn't enough, the daughter of General Tops MacTavish, famed for his heroic defense of Drakona during a UDR assault on the planet during the war, Cera (named after the popular character of the Land Before Time films due to her similar appearance and personality) begun an interspecies relationship with her personal friend, Littlefoot Longneck (named after another popular character from the same films for his similar appearance and personality to him).

After finding out about his daughter's forbidden relationship, he grounded her and forbade her to even talk to the young Sauropod. However, the girl disobeyed him and instead sneaked away in the dead of night while her father was asleep and eventually met Littlefoot, whose grandparents, ambassadors working for the Department of Foreign Affairs, grounded him as well, though he too sneaked out of his house, out in the wilderness miles away from the capital, where they were free to carry out their relationship in secret.

Meanwhile, the D-Team, a trio of ex-convict Dinosaur soldiers accused of aiding the enemy during the Second Nazi Dinosaur War and now members of the elite Black Ops Commandos, along with fellow Black Ops Commandos Sgt. Alvin Mason and former Marine Tank Dempsey as well as Special Agent Ozzie Sturn as well as his brother Strut, were following the tracks of a group of Nazi rebels to see where they were headed next. To their horror, they discover that the Nazi rebels had allied with the UDR for one final assault to finally bring down Saurisia once and for all.

So, they alerted David Santorez, Commander-in-Chief and head of the Black Ops Commandos about what happened, unfortunately, they were captured soon after relaying the message to Santorez, though they quickly managed to escape their captors' clutches. After that, the Nazis launched a raid which resulted in the capture of Littlefoot, Cera, and their friends whom were trying to convince them to come back to Saurus City. After learning that the children were the offspring of important military officers and government staff, the D-Team, the Sturns, Mason, and Dempsey led Saurisian Militia, regular soldiers, and ARF special forces against the outpost where they were held, freeing them.

After rescuing the children, the group learns of Littlefoot and Cera's relationship and are utterly repulsed by it. They then attempt to return the kids back to their parents/grandchildren, however Santorez assigns them a group of rookie soldiers recruited from the Garrison on Reptilon, in addition, two old friends of Dempsey's were also assigned to the group: Doctor Edward Von Richthofen (no relation to Baron Von Richthofen), an insane mad scientist who takes great pleasure in others' suffering, and Nikolai Beliski, a drunk Russian known for his comical remarks.



Once the new members join the team, Santorez tells them to stop the Tyrannos and the Nazis' raids, though the original members of the team (including Richthofen and Beliski) and the new members do not get along well, potentially imperiling their mission.

Chapter 25: Finest Hour

Despite their difficulties, the group manages to intercept various Nazi raids on military outposts, and finally defeat the Tyrannos once and for all. Unfortunately, while all that was happening, the UDR and Nazi rebels launch a full-scale attack on Saurisia, in an all-or-nothing bid to bring the United Dinosaur States at long last, which was codenamed "Fall Untergang".

The attack was met as thousands of Saurisian soldiers, Marines, special forces, Militia, and even ordinary citizens resisted the constant Nazi attacks as their foes attempted again and again to break their lines, but they held, enduring one attack after another.

After driving off the Tyrannos, the group heads back to the frontlines on Mesozoica, where they join a multitude of Saurisian soldiers, Marines, militia, and armed citizens as they hold off repeated attacks by the Nazis. During this terrible battle, they suffer heavy casualties but eventually prevail. On other worlds under attack by the Nazis, the attackers are also finally driven off, and the Nazis' fleets are defeated by the much better equipped and organized Saurisian Space Navy.

Sure enough, the line held as the Nazi forces were at last defeated and the Nazi rebels' worlds taken by storm and the UDR forced to retreat back to within its territory. The victorious Saurisian government later negotiated with the UDR, which agreed that it will never again threaten Saurisia, or else its territory would all by occupied. And thus, the eight month Great War, the largest and bloodiest conflict in Saurisian History was over.

After that, Littlefoot and Cera ended their relationship, pursuing individuals of the opposite sex who were of their own species. The various men of the group went back to their loving families, intent upon living out the rest of their lives in peace.

After the war ended, a memorial to the Great War and its participants was built 10 years after its end, and a movie was made based around the elite special forces group that helped defeat the Tyrannos and win the war, titled "Elite Forces", and it proved to be a smash-hit, earning 25.4 million Dollars within the first weekend of its release.

Chapter 26: Return to the Motherplanet

In 2909, 93 years after the end of the Great War, President Allison Bridger, a 45 year old Saurolophus, went through a dilemma. The 500th anniversary of the birth of Sarah and John was coming up and she knew that would be a major celebration event. So, she had to think up a great idea to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the birth of Saurisia's founding father and his sister.

What she came up with was ingenious to be precise: Before he died, John hoped that one day, Saurisia would conquer the planet Earth, their kind's original homeworld, and with the 500th anniversary of his birth approaching, Bridger figured that she would be the one who would achieve John's wish.

So, she sent the Admiral Richard Traebert's powerful 3rd Fleet along with the 4th and 8th Armies to conquer Earth for Saurisia and for John. Soon enough, the fleet reached the Earth's orbit and began dropping off the ground forces as well as elements of the 12th Surface Fleet onto the Earth's surface.

The invasion took the Earth completely by surprise, the nations of which were fighting among themselves as usual and thus did not invaders from space attacking their planet, much less Prehistoric creatures. Despite the Earthlings' sporadic resistance, they were no match for the better organized Saurisians and within a year conquered the planet.

After Earth was taken, many reforms were taken. The countries that used to exist were reformed into Districts, each one ruled by a governor from that District, and each Governor answered to the Overseer who was a native-born Saurisian who in turned answered to the President. For the first time in their history, the Earthlings felt united under a single banner, the wars between their various nations had now ceased and Earth itself became peaceful. Africa, once a third world hellhole was vastly improved and the living standards there increased tenfold, and squabbling ethnicties' militia would find themselves under attack from regular Saurisian forces. The Earth became prosperous and relatively peaceful, and it was all ironically thanks to creatures extinct from their planet for 65 million years. Millions of Dinosaurs moved to the Earth to live on the very planet their ancestors had so many millions of years ago.

The center of the Chicxulub Crater became the home of a whole tourist city dubbed "Memorial City", and it was the home of museums and exhibits displaying the terrible extinction event which brought the end of the Age of the Dinosaurs at the end of the Mesozoic Era. At the center of the city stood a huge statue of a Tyrannosaurus looking upwards at the sky, a memorial to the countless millions of Dinosaurs, Pterosaurs, Marine Reptiles, and many other creatures which had died in the great K-T Tragedy.

New York City in North America became the capital of the now Saurisian planet of Earth, and the newly-founded Earth Congress met daily at the building which once was the Headquarters of the defunct United Nations to discuss matters occurring on the planet. The interior of the structure was decorated with statues and murals dedicated to the long-lost Age of the Dinosaurs.

At the celebration of the 500th anniversary of John and Sarah's birth, a massive celebration was held on Earth, now the symbolic center of the mighty United Dinosaur States of Saurisia, to honor the beginnings of the effort to revive the great Age that had been over for 65 million years. Reptilia remains the capital of Saurisia, but every year, millions come to Earth, many of them Dinosaurs, Marine Reptiles, and Pterosaurs there to visit their kinds' original home planet as well as to pay respects to their long dead ancestors.

John's original goals had been achieved: Dinosaurs had formed a mighty country ruled by their kind and they now controlled their original homeworld.

Geography

The geography of Saurisia is much like of the many climates experienced during the Mesozoic Era, with at least one or more planets reflecting a certain climate. Most of the planets have very wet and tropical climes, with vast rainforests and open grasslands. These are home to many creatures, most of whom Prehistoric beasts descended from those cloned by Saurorean scientists, the Dinosaur Revolutionaries, and the newly-born Saurisian government.

On some of the temperate planets, though, the weather's colder, and lush temperate rainforests dominate the areas near the equator. Tropical jungles do exist in the equators of these worlds, but are not as widespread as on the tropical worlds, and farther north of the temperate rainforests, temperate forests dominate the landscape. Even further north at the poles, it's even colder (although much warmer than the poles of planet Earth), where snow covers the landscape during the winter, where there's no sun for months.

On several worlds, the climate is much like the deserts that existed during the Mesozoic, most famous of which being the Gobi. Here, the climate is hot and dry with few large bodies of water and thus, very few Saurisians live on the planets (their total population is 89 million), though they're home to a large array of wild Dinosaurs who were used to living in dry conditions, among them Velociraptor, Shuuvia, Protoceratops, and Tarbosaurus.

There are finally two different worlds with a largely aquatic environment. Tethys and Atlantica have 88% of their surface being water, the rest either large islands or small continents. Their oceans, like the oceans on other planets, are very shallow, with the deepest point being 200 ft. Like all of Saurisia's oceans, they're populated by Marine Reptiles living much like their ancestors did back in the Mesozoic.

The Flag of Saurisia and its meaning




The current flag of Saurisia was adopted soon after the UDS was established. The meaning of it are quite deep. The red background represent the amount of blood shed by the Revolutionaries during their struggle with the tyrannical Saurorean Republic. The grey line represents the sorrow and sadness of the families of those who gave and still give their lives to protect Saurisia. The black represents the many challenges that face Saurisia in the past, the present, as well as in the future. The T-Rex skull represents the major species/genus of the population: Dinosaurs. The D in the corner represents the Dinoist Party and its control over the country.

The Saurisian People

The people of Saurisia are altogether numerous, totaling 1 trillion, mostly due to the high reproduction rate of the sapient Reptiles. Saurisians themselves are a freedom-loving and slightly xenophobic people. Saurisians are also extremely nationalistic and proud of their country, especially the Reptiles, as well as also being extremely big fans of guns and violence. Some, especially the Humanoid Reptiles, are also highly into sexual activities.

Saurisians are altogether friendly, if perverted at times in the case of the Reptilians, and hospitable. They are also proud, stubborn, and usually have short tempers, but they are a friendly lot, no matter their species, genus, and class.
