“Your turn,” Hadar ben Ofer. Simcha looked over and smiled.

“My turn huh?” she replied.

“I’m in a final. Now it’s your turn to get there.”

“I’m not sure that’s how it works.”

“I’m pretty sure it is. We take turns whooping our opponents. Your turn.”

“If you say so.”

“I do.”

“Well then, I suppose I better beat Perez. I’ve done it before but that’s no guarantee now.”

“Neck and neck in rankings and you’ve pulled off miracles before. I’ll put some money on you.”

“And now I’m complicit in gambling.”

“Complicity would be me betting against you and you taking a dive. That’s not what’s happening here, so we’re fine.” Simcha chuckled.

“If you say so.”

“Alright, here’s the plan,” Hadar ben Ofer said to his fellows. “Anat and I beat Korecal and Iegis tomorrow, and then the next day Simcha you take down Andiam. That’s how we put an end to Cenian dominance.” Anat ben Yonah and Simcha bat Dor laughed at his antics. “What?”

“That’s not a plan, Hadar,” Simcha replied. “Those are goals. Goals are fine. In fact, they’re pretty good. But they aren’t a plan.”

“I don’t agree.” Anat rolled his head back.

“Hadar, we are going up against players who are in the running for top player or double in the world,” Anat said. “We’ve done good. Really good. Just don’t be disappointed if we don’t close out on top.”

“But I have such plans,” Hadar complained. The other two Judeans chuckled. “Fine. But can we all at least agree on beating the Cenians?”

“I think we can all get behind that,” Simcha said. “Now the tricks to actually do that.”
