I've got a few death scenes already ready. Also, storyline is almost entirely outlined at this point, along with a couple of convergences the players can make. Got a few ideas for subplots later, too.

So, yeah. I've got quite a few ideas ready for this.

Ending is also ready, if we ever make it there.

Sounds good?

I'm not sure how I feel about the assault one, as they'd like be shot pretty much immediately. The military aren't very subtle about their public executions. I'm also not sure if the military would keep a jail, due to resources and the military not bothering with formalities while executing people.

Now, I dig the idea of the con-man. It's probable since Murrell's Inlet is a less strict QZ, they might keep a prison for morale purposes. You can go ahead with the criminals, but I'd have it so they were about to be arrested when the Hunters attacked. The character who attacked a doctor would be shot on sight, however, so you might want to change theirs to something else.

Maybe I can change it, so the assault one was arrested for having illegal contraband, like drugs, instead of attacking the doctor? Also, I was planning on having them start on the road to Garden City, but if there was a prison at Murrell's Inlet, that's fine too.

And hopefully we make it. I know RP's almost always have a thing for dying, but it'd REALLY be nice if an RP with an end game actually, well, ended while I was in it.

Hey, Kentucky Fried Land, could you TG me details on what you imagine Garden City to be and any recent issues therein? I want to do something with Stina.

I pretty much treat it like a book, where the players can mold a path towards the destination, but the destination is mostly the same (with a few different people having survived.)?

I'd also kind of dig it if this thing made it all the way through. The ending will be bittersweet, I suppose.

Also, Act I Chapter 3 is when the REAL plot gets thrown in and gives incentive for zombie road trip.

I've mostly got ideas for death scenes and the ending swimming in my head. It's not really super open-ended, but a few choices made will influence where the story heads and who doesn't make it out. The things I got written down are just kind of general things, like "head here" and "have these things attack here." Four of the character's deaths are set in atom right now, however. Haven't decided who's immune yet, will probably wait a little bit.

Ormata wrote:If we get there, I'd be impressed.

I would as well. I've never seen an RP actually get fully finished, so it'd be a miracle if this one makes it. Hopefully I keep things lively enough to survive to the end.

Will do.
Terintania wrote:Question: Do I need to have played the game to be in this RP?

Nope. It's all explained in the OP, and stuff not there will be explained in IC as they're introduced.

Just medical records and the such. Like stuff about David's schizophrenia, Connifer's depression, Vedenin's arm, stuff like that. I'd just look to the character sheets for inspiration, but you can kind of gloss over some of the characters, as some of them don't really have pertinent medical issues.

Just going to brief the things you listed in my post, then bring up things in more detail with the other military folks once we're out and safely regrouped.

I also realize I need a partner in crime for Fritz, this lonesome emoting will very quickly get depressing. :lol2:

Psychotic Dictatorship

Postby Main Nation Ministry » Mon Oct 24, 2016 9:07 pm

Name: Franklin Roberts
Age: 41
Faction (Civilian, Firefly): Citizen
Sex: M
Appearance: Here, without prison uniform
Equipment/Personal Belongings: Stolen military gas mask, prison uniform, a black jacket, his "lucky" Superman action figure, picture of wife and child, and a police baton.
Personality: Franklin is a friendly type of person, until he is drunk or under the influence of drugs. Franklin doesn't attack others as he sticks with pacifism as much as possible until he is forced to kill in urgent situations. He is determined with his workaholic personality, making himself more likely to survive than the rest of the prisoners.
Bio: Franklin was born as a 90's kid in 1994 where he developed an interest with action movies as a kid while his father was a struggling actor and his mother was a waitress. After being bullied as a kid in elementary school, his father decided to teach him how to fight back, so he doesn't feel like a wimp or coward as his father puts it. At the 8th grade, he got a job as a janitor at a pizza place which he enjoyed working at, giving him a workaholic personality. At high school, he achieved high grades in his economics classes with him getting a scholarship in college for being an accountant. However, the Cordyceps fungus infection started when he was starting college, causing chaos. Eventually, he was rescued by the military and lived for 9 years at a military safe-zone when he managed to find true love, dating another survivor named Hannah. At the age of 35, they had a child named Wayne, in which they believed they could start a new life, despite the Infected outside the safe-zone. However, 2 years later, Hunters arrived at the safe zone, launching an attack, killing Hannah and Wayne. In grief, Franklin was forced to flee to another safe-zone occupied by the military near Garden City where he took to doing illegal drugs to cope with his losses. His antics involving buying illegal contraband, caused him to be arrested by the military, where he managed to escape with the help of two other prisoners.
Strengths: Franklin has experience to fight by his father and sticks to pacifism as much as possible.
Weaknesses: Franklin is a nervous wreck, coping with his depression with alcohol and drugs, making himself vulnerable and easily manipulated.
*Quirks: Addicted to drugs and has Astraphobia.
*Likes (stuff like foods, sports or hobbies): Action movies, Pizza, and economics.
*Dislikes (don’t say “zombies” or “Hunters.” No shit nobody likes them, try and think of something more personal): Lightning/Thunder, Open spaces, and romance movies
*Worst Fears: Paranoid of seeing his loved ones as Infected.
*Miscellaneous (anything else you’d like to add):

Name: Kyle Cameron
Age: 27
Faction (Civilian, Firefly): Citizen
Sex: M
Appearance: Here, with prison uniform
Equipment/Personal Belongings: Stolen military gas mask, prison uniform, an old ice skate and a homemade toothbrush shank.
Personality: Kyle sees himself as a violent man, who would sometimes blame his actions on others, despite there being a chance it was his own fault. He is an attack first and ask questions later guy who doesn't think first, when he attacks an Infected or anyone with a weapon.
Bio: Kyle was a troubled man who at the age of 5 was forced to head to a military safe-zone with his parents to survive the Infected. However, during his time there, his parents became more neglectful to him as the days go on, which took a toll on his mental state, developing schizophrenia and having nightmares of a monster he calls the "Dweller". Some soldiers taught him how to shoot to defend himself from the Infected, but started to feel violent as he reached adulthood. Around the age of 14, his parents died in an attempted attack by the Hunters where he felt alone and tried to do his best to survive. Around the age of 27, he tried to escape the safe-zone near Garden City by stealing a large amount of supplies and food from a military storage room and booking it, only to be attacked by a guard who beat him up, leaving him with scars on his face. The military caught him and made him a prisoner until he convinced some prisoners to help him escape.
Strengths: Kyle learned how to shoot from some soldiers, meaning he is experienced when dealing with large amounts of the Infected.
Weaknesses: Kyle has a case of schizophrenia, along with a lack of not making decisions as he sees that violence is the only answer when it comes to dealing with tough decisions, making him not to be trusted.
*Quirks: Can easily be mad along with a case of schizophrenia.
*Likes (stuff like foods, sports or hobbies): Kyle is limited on what he likes, but he used to enjoy ice-skating at the age of 4.
*Dislikes (don’t say “zombies” or “Hunters.” No shit nobody likes them, try and think of something more personal): People he doesn't trust, the military, and his own parents.
*Worst Fears: He imagines an abomination which he believes would come to life one day, which he calls it the "Dweller".
*Miscellaneous (anything else you’d like to add):

Name: Peter Bailey
Age: 32
Faction (Civilian, Firefly): Citizen
Sex: M
Appearance: Peter stands at about a decent 5'9 with short grey-brown hair with a biker beard and brown eyes. He wears a set of half-broken sunglasses with the left lens cracked. He wears a grey hoodie over his prison uniform with blue jeans and hiking boots.
Equipment/Personal Belongings: Stolen military gas mask, prison uniform, pair of half-broken sunglasses, a dog tag labeled "Chip", grey hoodie, and a "borrowed" service pistol with 3 magazines.
Personality: Peter is cunning and manipulative, managing to scam other survivors of their supplies for items he makes it seems they are of good use, when in reality are useless. He is a bit childish, still having a fond for candy and tries to be cool-looking by wearing clearly broken sunglasses he found in an alley.
Bio: Peter was born at 2003, where he was a fan of rock music around elementary as his parents were groupies and fans of Phil Collins. He had a sweet tooth also where he ate an enjoyable amount of candy as a child. However, around the age of 10, the Cordyceps infection occurred and his parents died trying to get him to a safe-zone. Despite the loss of his parents, he found a puppy which he named Chip and grew an interest into being a con artist where he first put his talents to use by scamming the kids at the safe-zone getting candy after selling the kids useless junk. This continued for many years as his dog died when he was in his early 20's. As the years pass by, his skills grew till he managed to scam most of everyone in the safe-zone. At the age of 32, he got caught where he was thrown in a prison with two other prisoners who he decided to help with an escape plan.
Strengths: Peter has his skills as a con artist to get anything he wants from other survivors and can easily manipulative others.
Weaknesses: Peter isn't the fighter type, as even though he has a gun, he never fired a bullet before. Some people that he scammed may have deep grudges against him, making him not liked and sometimes hated.
*Quirks: Tends to rub his dog tag which he wears as a necklace for good luck.
*Likes (stuff like foods, sports or hobbies): Rock music, dogs, being a con artist and candy.
*Dislikes (don’t say “zombies” or “Hunters.” No shit nobody likes them, try and think of something more personal):Rap or Country music, politics and the military.
*Worst Fears: Rabid dogs, since he is a dog lover.
*Miscellaneous (anything else you’d like to add):

Will our decisions determine what happens to our characters?.. Or will "accidents" be the cause of their deaths?

Also.. I have half a post at the ready, but I'm not happy with it. It looks ugly, and I don't like it.
Perhaps it's because my writing gland is burnt out at the moment. I did have speech delivery and essay writing today.
I'll just take a break for now, I just got home from class.
