I only speak for myself, but if we're in pitched combat or something and you rp about an artillery blast blowing up a squad or two that's just par for the course. Same for small ships in ship combat; realistically, I always figured those tend to exist mostly just so people can RP about blowing them up to prove the bad-assery of their respective stuff. It's all relative, after all: what's 20 troops dying in a thousand?

As long as you let me state my own casualties after you explain your attack/actions if your characters get in a confrontation with mine I'll be fine with it. Otherwise I'll probably ignore any posts that are not written by the OP and contain information about my casualties.
If a complicated situation occurs there is always the OOC available where any of us can discuss what could be the outcome and give permission to other people to post the casualties of both sides

Yeah I was asking more for expediency's sake, and more about the main combatants then about you guys. I'll ask permission before, but if you taking too long I might just go ahead and do it then ask for forgiveness. It's a bit harder to RP characters in the traditional sense than forces, while waiting for casualties.

Feel free to cause a couple hundred to die at a time, as well as a dozen fighter ships.
Beyond that i would prefer control, our at least OOC communique.

To clarify, I'm only RPing characters, not troops. So it would only be 3 or 4 at a time tops. They're highly skilled but they're not demigods laying waste to swaths of soldiers.

A couple of us are trapped behind the naval blockade so until we can RP past it we're of no relevance on the ground. Might have to wait till tomorrow when Eodor's back in business

Alright I'll get a post up tomorrow. Right now my characters are running around like a chicken with its head cut off. If any of you guys want to do something with them let me know. I was gonna as the OP for more background information regarding the coup but thought against it. Right now, I know as much as my characters know.

Is that really a good idea, objectively speaking? Wouldn't that be a huge security concern during an all out coup?

"Whats the motivation behind the coup?" Is it just a simple power grab or do they believe they're doing the right thing. Is the King really an evil despot, or is he the righteous ruler staving off the forces of evil?

Alternative plotline I'll pursue if you don't want to expose that information will be to split them up one of them will get captured. I might even pursuit that anyway depending on your plot line.

The Rebel leadership believe the King is an evil despot. However he is not. Also, the treaty signing can be seen as a form of defeatism. As they are siding with powers that have been their enemies for centuries.
