Personality: He enjoys goofing around whenever possible, as he didn't have that opportunity for much of his life. However, when the situation calls for it he can cut the crap completely.

Biography: After Agent Spider went rogue, the Agency began to secretly work on a new project, called Project Arachnid, to either replace or capture him. Project Arachnid was an artificially grown clone of Agent Spider, given the same abilities as well as a few new ones, who was artificially aged to 14 before being trained nonstop for two years. During this time, his DNA had to be modified after it was discovered that his cloned genome was unstable, which simulations showed would cause him to collapse into a puddle of goo which would likely cause mutations to whomever came into contact with it. While this wasn't completely fixed, his DNA was modified so that a special compound would keep this from happening.

They trained Subject 24601, who took on the name 'Pete White', to help those in need and assist law enforcement, but also to be on the look out for rogue agents, particularly Agent Spider. Pete was taught that Agent Spider was a vigilante menace who needed to be brought in. He was given extreme combat training as well as taught how to use each and every one of his abilities to their peak levels.

Powers/Abilities:
  • Enhanced Condition: Arachnid's physical and mental abilities are above natural members of their species in that verse, beyond what can be emulated via natural training and with little to no maintaining. This entails that they are faster, stronger, more intelligent and overall superior to fellow members of their species, without being obviously supernatural. Essentially, he has enhanced strength, speed, agility, durability, and senses.
  • Enhanced Vision: During the cloning process, Pete lost the 'Spider-Sense' of Agent Spider. Instead, he was shown to have Electromagnetic Vision, Night Vision, Illusion Vision (the ability to see through illusions), and Invisibility Vision.
  • Wallcrawling: The power to fasten onto and climb vertical and horizontal surfaces without falling.
  • Web Generation: Arachnikid can create silk, either in a simple form like spinning a strand, or more complex form like building a web and even creating items from it. It can come in many shapes, be stretchy or strong, it may be thick like cord or thin like wire. He can make it more or less sticky, as well as being able to generate webs but manipulate them as well such as controlling their density to make them razor sharp or controlling the direction they fly in.


Weaknesses
  • Unstable DNA: He must take a solution created by the Agency twice a year to keep his DNA stable.
  • Certain Surfaces: Much like the original, Spider-Boy cannot cling to Ice.
  • Webs: Not only are his webs temporary (withering away within about three minutes), they also require a lot of energy, meaning he has a very high metabolism which requires him to eat very often, and he must also remain in overall good health.

Race Name: Mirali

Location: Several star systems in the Orion Arm, With Alpha Centari being the closest to Earth.

Race Appearance: This, though with many color variations

Culture/World:
The Mirali are a culture centered around logic, reason, and honor. They see science and technological advancement as one of the only ways a society can progress. This being said, they occasionally fight among themselves over ideological differences, and indeviduals will duel each other, occasionally to the death, over matters of honor. Art is also central to Mirali culture, though their draconic nature ensures draconic themes persist in their scupture, pottery, artistic depictions, and various architectual features. They are very iquisitive and as stated above, devoted to scientific persuits. The Mirali are generally peace-loving, though they won't hesitate to go to war if provoked. Despite being a largely technological species, less developed tribal groups still exist.

Their homeworld, Vulcan, is a geologically active and humid world of tropical jungles, islands and areas of volcanic activity. The surface largely consists of swamps, marshes, and rolling hills, with islands sharing similar geology. The trees are impossibly large here, and often stand on large pillar-like roots that are thicker then the dimensions of a small house, which meet to support a large trunk typically a big around as a modern apartment building. The surface is muggy, warm, foggy, and other then the large water sources or areas affected by heavy volcanic activity, covered in thick, nearly inpenetrable jungle. Small settlements, and the ruins of past civilizations exist on the surface, but most of Mirali Civilization is carved into the trees, with entire cities existing in the canopies of the jungles. They prefer to wear nothing outside of combat, save robe-like clothing; they also ofter wear jewelery that can preform various technological functions and allow communication over great distances.

Biography/Lore:
The Mirali Species are omnivores, though they prefer meat. They are on average seven foot tall, with females being slightly shorter then this. Long ago, they existed in city-states, building a culture and civilization incorperating aspects similar to both Feudal Japan and the ancient Maya. For a while, these city-states existed in a state of near-constant warfare, with the more powerful city-states forming alliances to overwhelm and subjegate their weaker neighbors. However, these early peoples over centuries destroyed their sorrounding environment, and as a result, their episodes of warfare increased to the point of destroying entire cities and massacaring their populations for resources; however, this practice was unsustainable, and eventually most of the city-states collapsed and were abandoned by their people.

The few city-states that survived this period slowly expanded into the upper levels of the jungle, and as their technology advanced, formed nations. These nations warred amongst themsevles on a scale similar to Humanity during it's history, untill they discovered the technology needed to get into space. After colonizing their moon later in their history, they began to expand to and colonize other planets, becoming a space-faring civilization. The long-abandoned city-states were forgotten as the modern Mirali civilization built up above them, and left to be overgrown. Occasionally, teams will excavate the ancient ruins, but most prefer their tree-cities.

Motives/personality:
The Mirali are intellegent and motivated by technological and scientific advancement. They are somewhat expansionist, seeking new worlds to colonize as their population expands. They can be arrogant and some view lesser societies as too primitive to be trusted with their technology. They seek a moral high ground and wish to understand the relationship between life and the cosmos.

Inherent Powers/Abilities:
  • Flight: All Mirali have wings that allow them to fly.
  • Long-distance Communication: All Mirali wear necklaces that allow communication with others of their kind over long distances, even between colonies in different starsystems.
  • Resistant Hide: Mirali hide is very resistant to melee weaponery.
  • Elemental Magic: All Mirali have an elemental breath attack they can use as a defensive weapon.
  • Advanced Weapons: The Mirali have developed energy and particle-based weaponery.
  • Space Travel: The Mirali have FTL-capable starships that allow travel between their colony-worlds.


Weaknesses
  • High Metabolism: Basically, their draconic body requires more energy to function. Thus, they must eat more to survive.
  • Specialized Combat: Mirali armor is designed to resist bullets and their own weaponery and elemental magic, but not melee weapons.
  • Vulnerability to Cold: Due to being native to a tropical planet, extreme cold can kill them easily.
  • Height: Due to their height, they will have trouble entering some structures and buildings.

Appearance: This in-uniform (there's also a rather large hood behind her), in normal attire she wears a tank top, shorts, and flip flops, all in bright colors.

Personality: Extremely, almost excessively positive. Loyal towards friends, and quick to see the good in people. Has virtually no verbal filter. Not quite gullible, but does like to believe that most people are telling the truth.

Biography: Ann was born in Miami, Florida, to two parents she never had the pleasure of meeting. Soon after she was born, she was abandoned with her older sister in their house on the beach while her parents gallivanted across the world, maintaining zero contact with their children. This had little effect on Ann's upbringing, however, as her sister vowed to be a magnitudes better parent than hers were. Ann grew up happy and friendly, doing well in school and making friends with practically everybody she met. She took up windsurfing in the Atlantic in her early teens, and had a relatively normal life until the Xantheian invasion.

Ann and her sister mostly managed to stay out of trouble during the invasion, until late in the war when she was captured by the Xantheians and subsequently exposed to the mutagen. She was granted powers over the air, and used these powers to facilitate an escape from where she was being kept, while also saving two fellow captives and one person in the process of being captured. After a tearful reunion with her sister, she reflected on the events and decided that she felt good after saving those people. Like, really good. She declared (to herself, in an empty room) that she would use her powers to help people across the world, and adopted the name of Sylph for her superhero alter ego. After the invasion had been repelled, she found her own place on the beach to live and use as a base, got her first outfit, and set out on her quest to help the people of Earth.

Powers/Abilities:
  • Air Manipulation: Ann can bend the wind to her will, creating blasts of air and small storms to use as weapons.
  • Flight: Using her wind powers, Ann can use air currents to fly around.
  • Anti-Asphyxiation: Ann can generate air directly into her lungs or around herself, meaning she can always breathe. Works well for scuba diving.
  • Enhanced Healing: Ann's mutated cells regenerate much faster than a normal human's, allowing her to almost totally heal from most injuries after a night or two of rest.


Weaknesses
  • Only Human: Ann does not have enhanced durability. (Almost) anything that can kill a normal human can kill her.
  • Tae Kwan No: Ann has next to no fight training.
  • Idealism: Ann believes everyone has some good in them, and everyone deserves another chance no matter what.
  • Violent Winds: Stronger winds are harder for Ann to control.


Equipment: N/A

Likes: Pretty much everyone and everything, but a much stronger like of her sister and windsurfing.
Dislikes: The bad guys, though it's a real soft dislike. Heroes who regularly kill.
Theme Song: Ugh, can't think of one.


Additional information: Ann had her costume custom made and ordered off the internet. She has to restrain herself from entering windsurfing races to make it fair for the other competitors. Some notes as to the nature of her powers: she can only control the major components of whatever celestial body she's on's atmosphere. Major components is anything above .5% by volume; on Earth, that would be nitrogen, oxygen, argon, and water vapor. In space it defaults to what she can control on Earth, plus hydrogen and helium. She can always generate breathable air into her lungs, but cannot control it unless on a planet with a very similar atmosphere to Earth's (example: on Mars, she could make the air to breathe and stay pressurized, but wouldn't be able to control it (rather, not the oxygen portion of the mass, unless she exhaled it as carbon dioxide) beyond that). She does still need to exhale if generating pure air into her lungs. Her effective control of air decreases with distance, with anything beyond two miles being completely negligible.

Honestly I needed a username and thought it would be funny to steal one from here. My first instinct was to use a mod's name but I wasn't sure they'd appreciate the joke.

And I've never played club penguin so I don't know either. It think it has something to do with a fire ninja costume? Anyway, I just found it while doing a google image search for the sort of thing a teenaged fan girl would put on their first MySpace page

My take on the saiyan race, I've added bits here and there to balance it out

Race Application


Race Name: Saiyans/Saiya-jins

Location: Planet Saiyan (formerly), Planet Salad (formerly), Earth

Race Appearance: Saiyans tend to look almost identical to Humans and possess monkey-like tails. A typical adult saiyan is quite muscular in build while a typical infant is a bit chubby. Every saiyan has black, spiky hair (saiyan hairstyles remain the same throughout their entire life).

Culture/World: Saiyans are a fighting race, they absolutely love to fight and used to hold tournaments. Most information on their culture was lost when Planet Salad was destroyed.

Biography/Lore: (I am basing this off the saiyan lore from one of my RPs)
The exact origins of the Saiyan race are unknown but it is known that they came from Planet Saiyan, a once thriving world of life. However, an internal conflict resulted in the planet's destruction and the Saiyans took refuge on Planet Salad where they were accepted by the dominant species at the time, Tuffles. Eventually the Tuffles turned against the Saiyans and started a war but this resulted in the extinction of the Tuffle race. A space tyrant then destroyed Planet Salad, almost rendering the entire Saiyan race extinct. Luckily, there were a few survivors.

Inherent Powers/Abilities:
  • Ki Manipulation: Saiyans are naturally adept at manipulating Ki, a mystical energy found in all living things. They can use it to enhance physical attacks, initiate flight and fire energy projectiles.
  • Zenkai: A saiyan will become stronger after having a near-death experience, the closer they are to death the larger the boost.
  • Oozaru Transformation: If a saiyan looks at a full moon (or anything that reflects Blutz Waves) they will become what is essentialy a giant tailed red eyed ape. This multiplies their power by ten. If the tail is severed or the source of Blutz Waves is destroyed, a saiyan will return to normal form exhausted and possibly unconscious.
  • Super Saiyan Transformations: If a saiyan is powerful enough and experiences immense anger, they will become a Super Saiyan, this raises their hair, turns it gold and gives the saiyan turquoise eyes. It multiplies the user's power by 50. After the first time transforming, the user will have anger issues for a period of time. If a saiyan has the first super saiyan stage
    and experiences immense anger, they'll ascend into a super saiyan 2. This stage looks identical to the first one but with bio-electricity. This form multiplies the user's power by 100 and makes them more ruthless, the first time anger issues return. If a saiyan has the 2nd stage and trains enough, they'll achieve Super Saiyan 3. Super Saiyan 3 has long, gold hair and no eyebrows. It multiplies the user's power by 200 (in the canon it's 400 but i'm nerfing it) at the cost of a massive energy drain.

Weaknesses
  • Tail: Pulling on a saiyan's tail will in fact, weaken them and cause immense pain.l

Yeah, Princes get the puffy shorts. The ones on Ann are more a style choice, I guess. And yeah, they should. :)

Inherent Powers/Abilities:
  • Ki Manipulation: Saiyans are naturally adept at manipulating Ki, a mystical energy found in all living things. They can use it to enhance physical attacks, initiate flight and fire energy projectiles.
  • Zenkai: A saiyan will become stronger after having a near-death experience, the closer they are to death the larger the boost.
  • Oozaru Transformation: If a saiyan looks at a full moon (or anything that reflects Blutz Waves) they will become what is essentialy a giant tailed red eyed ape. This multiplies their power by ten. If the tail is severed or the source of Blutz Waves is destroyed, a saiyan will return to normal form exhausted and possibly unconscious.
  • Super Saiyan Transformations: If a saiyan is powerful enough and experiences immense anger, they will become a Super Saiyan, this raises their hair, turns it gold and gives the saiyan turquoise eyes. It multiplies the user's power by 50. After the first time transforming, the user will have anger issues for a period of time. If a saiyan has the first super saiyan stage
    and experiences immense anger, they'll ascend into a super saiyan 2. This stage looks identical to the first one but with bio-electricity. This form multiplies the user's power by 100 and makes them more ruthless, the first time anger issues return. If a saiyan has the 2nd stage and trains enough, they'll achieve Super Saiyan 3. Super Saiyan 3 has long, gold hair and no eyebrows. It multiplies the user's power by 200 (in the canon it's 400 but i'm nerfing it) at the cost of a massive energy drain.

Weaknesses
  • Tail: Pulling on a saiyan's tail will in fact, weaken them and cause immense pain.l

Rejected, I'm afraid. If you're going to create a race, I would rather that it have some measure of creativity, and although I'm no DB watcher/fan, I do know enough about this to see little originality in this.

Plus, the Saiyans are still kind of OP, even with a nerf.

Appearance:
This, though her belly and markings are purple and she has a more blade-like end on her tail.

Personality:
Distrustful of humans and slightly predatory, Makayla is dedicated to helping those few she does trust advance civilization. Unlike the rest of her race however, Makayla's moral compass is skewed. She is resourceful, cunning, and outspoken. She prefers to lead and does not like standing on the sidelines.

Biography:

The Great War. Mirali civilization was one of the few that held it's own from the start. However, that changed once the enemy stated to destroy stars. As entire systems and populations were lost, some Mirali turned their back on their morals and began to experiment on their own kind. Fusing magic and technology togeather, as well as biology and machinery, they sought to create the ultimate supersoldier for use against their enemy. After some time and many failures, the suceeded in argmenting a female Mirali they had named Makayla. She was kidnapped from her parents at an early age and drafted into the military as the latest in their experimental supersoldier program. Conditioned to ignore morals and to kill the enemy at any cost, Makayla used her abilities to lay waste to the enemies of her civilization, both military and civilian.

After the war was over, Makayla, who had no idea how to live a civilian life and with no true concept of right or wrong, she took a starship from Vulcan along with enough supplies to set up an outpost, and built a lair into a network of inactive lava tubes beneath Hawaii's Mouna Lua volcano. She has slowly drawn like-minded Mirali to her via her necklace, and continues to experiment on captive humans without reguard to morals or ethics.

Powers/Abilities:

  • Flight: Like all Mirali, Makayla has wings that allow her to fly.
  • Elemental Magic: Makayla can harness her breath attack to create constructs of magical energy, like balls of fire or lightening to throw at her enemies.
  • Enhanced strength: Makayla is significantly stronger the normal humans, and can lift and throw objects that weigh up to twice what she does.
  • Hardened hide: Her augmentations render most of her hide inpenertrable to melee weapons and bullets.
  • Long-distance Communication: Makayla can call fellow Mirali to her aid.
  • Supersoldier Armor: Her armor is resistant to bullets, particle and energy-based weaponery, and elemental magic.
  • Devour: Makayla can litterally eat human or similar enemies whole.


Weaknesses
  • High Metabolism: Like all Mirali, her size means she requires more nutrition. Therefor, she must eat more to survive.
  • Vulnerability to Cold: As her race is native to a tropical planet, extreme cold can kill her easily.
  • Vulnerable belly: Despite her augmentations as a supersoldier, Makayla's belly is a soft, weak target. An attack here could easily injure her.
  • Devourer's penalty: For an hour after she has eaten a human or similar opponent, she loses her ability to fly.


Equipment: Her necklace, supersoldier armor, Flowing, black robes with a red inside(modified to fit her body), and a golden, bejeweled staff that allows her to channel her breath weapon into various forms of elemental magic.

Likes: Science and technological advancement/progression, Tropical weather, Magic, War, and devouring her enemies.
Dislikes: Cold weather, Societal Stagnation, Interference in her experiments, being confronted about her screwed up morals, most humans.

Anyways, if you read all that, the only thing you need to know regarding the introductory arcs is that the Inquisitor invasion is pretty much over as well. There aren't going to be main arcs again for a while, since Star wants everyone to make their own arcs, interact with each other, and develop their characters on their own. But you can still go ahead and plan a meeting with someone else.

There's a few other relevant things happening: on DC, a group of teenage superheroes called the Young Bloods is going to form on the wake of the Inquisitor invasion. On the Sky Tower (I think that's what it's called), another group called Heroes Inc. is forming as well, with the organizer, Elias Jacobs, sending a private message to every hero on Capestragram. For context, Capestagram is a social network for superheroes. You can read more about it here, and see various examples in the IC. If you ever want to make one, the code for it is in the few first posts of this thread.

Yeah, I added the mask. Figured she should have something to hide at least some of her face. Otherwise what's the point of the whole secret identity, right?

I'll get right to the reading then make my post. Got an idea or two for the premiere of Sylph already.
