Widened scope for issues?

Postby West-Flanders » Thu Jul 23, 2009 10:49 am

Referring to..

Has the target market of some issues been widened? By which I mean that some issues which were previously only for a certain segment of nations (eg economic weak nations, very religious nations,..) now are allowed to a wider scope of nations, a larger target audience if you like.

I'm asking because I recently got some issues which sound like they're a reaction to some former policies. Maybe my memory is failing, but I don't recall banning gambling, nor approving issues concrning military build-up lately.
#108: Gambling Interests Offer High Stakes [New Sweden X; ed:Reploid Productions]
The Issue
In light of @@NAME@@'s ban on gambling, people ranging from angry homemakers to allegedly legitimate businessmen have been argueing incessantly about whether or not banning casinos was a good idea.

#202: Guns Or Butter? [Roman Republics; ed:Sirocco]
The Issue
After years of costly military build-up, the military now has a state of readiness capable of responding to all threats, both foreign and domestic. There is extensive debate among government officials, the military, and the average citizen over what, if anything, should be done with this powerful asset.

I haven't changed any of the old issues yet, though I'll probably make some of the more stringent validities a little more relaxed.
