As a person whose morals follow my own appetite for action, I disagree. To ignore it would be distasteful. To have it exist in the same universe as oneself is disappointing. To give support to an affront to democracy would appeal to my desire to defy others.

What tyranny? The UK had more leeway within the EU than anyone.

I did not literally mean that Ostro has no right to do so. He does have that right, but personally find talk of Brexit as the UK's "independence day" to be rather bewildering and irritating, as someone whose country actually has a well-earned independence day, in honour of the day when we declared ourselves a sovereign republic, free from our colonial overlords. You seem like a rational guy, so the melodrama can wait. Sure, this will inevitably have damaging short term effects, but to act as if economic anathema will occur is simply unfounded.

....That said, I can't be a hypocrite, I'm pretty tipsy, but that's for another reason.

You don't understand. The damage that has already been caused is eating into my finances, and most people aren't even awake to panic in the markets yet.

I mean, I'm not British, so maybe take what I say with a grain of salt, alright. I'm a suburban kid from across the Atlantic, after all. That said, I genuinely don't see a stock market collapse or anything unprecedented occurring tonight. Yes, it's going to be a pain in the ass in regards to the financial markets.

But, it'll more likely than not even back out, and a growing world economy, coupled with a British economy not riddled with certain regulations should actually improve in the long run. Overall, I'm fairly satisfied in the decision, though I wish the EU could exist, just not as a monetary union, only as a fiscal union without a central governance. That, my friend, would be ideal, but if we lived in an ideal world, I'd be having sex with Anna Kendrick.
