It all started with the discovery of this telegram

All samples are currently under testing phase. Development is expected to conclude within a month. Please deliver more laboratory rats for testing uses.

Orionite officials became enraged. Eclius claimed that the telegram was made up. The first phase of this Cold War began. Nova Capile became the third party to this when the Orionite ambassador was shot by the government. Nova Capile claimed he was threatening national security. Orion disagreed. Eclius also hated Nova Capile for arresting 5 tourists who took part in pro reform protests.
The world is on edge as the superpowers are always threating one another. One way or another, the whole world will become involved. Will war break out? Is there a path to peace? Can Nova Capile survive? How will the Orionite elections affect the Cold War? Will the war go nuclear? How will Eclius handle the Middle East? Nova Capile and Africa? Orion and Korea and China? Will one or two superpowers emerge on top of the remains of the others? Will other powers come into play?

Meanwhile, a young woman, possibly in a early 30's, was joyfully jogging outside Capilan embassy in downtown Mediolanum, suddenly her phone started to vibrate, she stopped jogging and picked up the phone, it was from a person with phone number of 00-00-00. The person on the other side of the phone seemed electronic, much like Siri's voice, and in a cold tune, it said, "Agent Aquarius, you and your team have been activated by EDSI to start Project Overseer, keep in mind, Eclisian government is not yet in a full-out war with Orionite and Capilan government, so it is advised for you to be more quite, as the embassies of Orion Islands and Nova Capile are not under the governance of Eclisian Empire. Should you be arrested, Eclisian government will deny your citizenship and your affiliation with EDSI".

Loudspeakers blared patriotic music, filling the air with tunes such as Erika and Westerwald Lied. Giant Capilean flags fluttered proudly in the wind. Bunting in the same style adorned every building in sight around the historic Memorial Gardens. The giant plaza and its surrounding botanical gardens and manicured lawns were packed with civilians, all craning their necks to see the raised platform in front of the massive statue at the center of the plaza. That memorial, entitled Die Tapferen Deutschen Steht Allein(The Brave German Stands Alone), featured an enourmous Capilean soldier, clutching his rifle and stoically looking out into the horizon. Below him, around his massive pedestal, stood, one at each corner; a Teutonic Knight, his winged helm giving off an intimidating look; a Prussian soldier, holding his musket in the firing position; a gallant hussar, ready to sweep his enemy away with a raised lance; and finally a German soldier, proudly holding the German flag in his hands.

At each corner of the massive brick plaza was a smaller monument to each branch of the armed forces; the Kaiserlich Heer(Imperial Army), Kaiserliche Marine(Imperial Navy), Kaiserlich Luftwaffe(Imperial Air Force), and finally the Stoßschutz- a name which translated loosely to "shockproof"- the elite shock troops of the empire. The plaza was packed; almost all the inhabitants of Saxtonberg had been drawn out to hear the address that Prince Rupprecht, a cousin of the Crown Prince, would deliver. The loudspeakers suddenly quieted and then a harsh voice said "Will all please rise for the anthem of the Grand Duchy of Nova Capile!" The first part was unnecessarily, as all were already on their feet. But when the voice said that everyone suddenly stiffened and faced the enormous Capilean flag that floated above the capital building, across the street from the gardens.

The Prince emerged from a shiny black limousine and stepped onto the platform, accompanied by dozens of Royal Guards in their typical uniforms. They fanned out and surrounded the platform, gold-plated longswords held in front of them, white capes billowing in the wind. The Prince, a man in his late forties, stood in an impressive, flamboyant uniform, complete with a gold and silver pickelhaube. He stood dramitacally, saluting, as Heil Dir Im Siegerkranz began playing across every loudspeaker. When it had finished, he launched into his speech:

"Recently, Nova Capile, and by extension the Royal Family themselves, have been accused of untruthful and horrible things by parties we take care not to mention. This is an insult to the honor and dignity of our proud nation, and an insult to the nation is an insult to the Royal Family. The foreigners, in their inferior stupidity, have insulted and attempted to sully the stainless honor and chivalry of our great nation and the prestigious, infallible men who lead it. In doing so, in insulting the Capilean nation and the Capilean leaders, they anger our whole nation. They stir up a hornets nest of aggression that once enraged, cannot be stopped. In their arrogance they have sealed their own fate.
The degenerates who insulted us are asked, nay demanded to take back their allegations, though they must realize that the consequences of those allegations cannot be reversed.

"Gaius, I'm afraid we have eyes in fatherland. 10 of our agents have been captured by the Orionites, they are also aware of Project Eclipse.They have eyes in Rome and Mediolanum. Am I afraid they have also infiltrated Caelus' research facility"
"We have captured a few Orionite agents a few days ago, one of the fair gentlemen swallowed cyanide before any interrogation, must say, Orionites sure are patriotic. Rests have been searched even more thoroughly, and we have managed to get rid of the cyanide teeth "

An old man, dressed in traditional Roman toga with dark blue lining walked into the interrogation room from the shadow, on his face, the smile, expressed darkness to the highest degree, in a mocking tone, he said to the Orionite agent, who's been subjected to the enhanced interrogation technique

"Well, what threat does it pose to us?", Director James Naples asked the assembled scientists. He himself was no researcher, he had gone through school for accounting but he did well enough and accepted criticism as well as he did praise. The assembled group was silent for several long moments. "Very. At least medically, once it is released modern travel could potentially get it to our gates in less than a day." The youngest, and most brash of the group said. "Politically, we're pretty safe. The leaks as far as we can tell show that they have no particular interest in targeting us at the moment." Announced a shadowy voice from the doorway, "Greetings, I am Agent Emanual of the PIO. We need you to begin working on plans to contain this should this become a public catastrophe. We will get samples if it is released, and ensure you have the needed resources. How long might a vaccine take to develop?" After getting over the initial shock James spoke once again,"If given the resources and the virus is based off of something already in the wild for a base. Then it should be two to eight months. However, if it is completely new then it could take over a year." Emamual nodded, "thank you for your time,I'll be in touch."

Agent Charity was looking at pictures of Aquarius. "Time to sleep, my sister"

[The Great Peoples Republic of Pezevenk]

The message of the Capila-Orionite-Eclesian Cold War reached the glorious leader of the Great People's Republic of Pezevenk while he was in his bath. The bathroom makes up half of the presidential palace, a large room of marble and gold with a ceiling to rival the Cistine Chapel. El Generalissimo was enjoying a lavender bath bomb and a Havana cigar when his diplomatic envoys reached him.
"El General, the war has begun. The people are in arms and demand action"
El General playfully punches his rubber duck. The envoy shifted awkwardly on the bath mat. Finally, El General spoke.
"Tell the people that I will release a dispatch for them"
The envoy swallowed hard.
"They are outside, your excellency."
El General frowned and put out his cigar in the murky bathwater.

And with that, El General and his massive girth left the bath. The envoy began to cry as his glorious leader toweled himself off in front of him. The official under-secretary of bath placed a towel over him. Sliding his feet into his offical minion slippers, El General made his way to the public balcony where the crowds chanted for his presence.

"The assistant to to Capilan ambassador was found dead inside his home on 25th Street. The pistol wound produced indicates that the EDSI is responsible for this act. Meanwhile, the man responsible for the Capilian consular officer's death has been identified by the Central City police, but has not been named. We are told that he fled to Santes Island and is en route to Mexico, but the OBI and the Capilan government dispute these findings.
Agent Charity had both the vent plan that would get her to Augustus Caesar's office and the plans of the EDSI Complex. She had also shot 2 EDSI agents to obtain the plans. 30 OIA agents were now in Eclius. Their mission was to destroy Eclipse and start a coup against the Empire.

Major Rudolf Steiner had been sent directly from the Stoßschutzder Militärpolizei headquarters in Colditz to investigate the sudden murder of the Capilean consular to the Orion Islands in Central City, a Mr. Otto Meyer, along with a crack team of other Stoßschutz men. Steiner was tall, about 6'5, with a muscular frame, neatly trimmed and combed blond hair, and emotionless, steely blue eyes. He was very intimidating. As such, when Major Steiner stepped out of his transport, followed closely by two Stoßschutz soldiers whose assault rifles hung in plain sight at their sides, the local police officer who was there to greet him cowed. Gazing down at him, Rudolf straightened his neatly pressed black uniform and spoke up. "Show us to the crime scene please."

Several minutes later Steiner stood over Otto Meyer's desk, looking down at his lifeless body. A hole had planted itself in his right temple, and a great deal of blood had splattered from the impact of the bullet onto Meyer's body, the dull plaster wall behind him, and the simple desk at which he sat. Additionally, more blood had flooded out freely from Meyer's fatal wound, drenching the right side of his face and leaking down onto his plain grey cotton vest. Rudolf sighed heavily and slid his black briefcase on the desk, turning to look at the nervous police officer who had followed the five Stoßschutz men into the consulate. "Leave us." It was a command, not a suggestion. The Orionite policeman huffed, but after a few seconds turned and strode out of the small room.

Rudolf followed him and closed the wooden door behind him. Turning to face the office, the major walked over to the worn seat in front of the dead consular's desk and sat down in it, turning it around to face the four men who had accompanied him into the murder scene. "Well, it is quite obvious that this was done by some amateur. I have not examined the security footage personally, but I have been told that the assailant was masked yet has been identified as a Caucasian male. A professional, hired by their government, would have taken greater care to conceal their identity." The expressions on the four soldier's faces remained unchanged; they were used to their officer's brilliance by now.

"Notice that there are two bullet holes in the wall; the attacker either was very trigger-happy and decided to try and pepper his target with lead, or was an untrained marksman and did not hit Meyer on his first try. Neither of which are traits typical of agents; they are surgical and clean with their techniques. No, this is not the work of a Orionite agent; the Orion Islands has every reason not to start a war, with us anyways. Most likely they want us on their side against Elicius, and indeed we could profit with an excursion into the Mediterranean." Casting such off-topic observations from his mind, Steiner continued. "This was done by some madman, and I neither know nor care of his motives. Nova Capile doesn't want to hear that this was the work of some renegade. They want war."

He paused dramatically, examining the worried expressions of his comrades. "So what do we tell them? The truth, or what they want to hear? I think we already know what to do. All that is left is to fill out the paperwork."

Felix Klopfer quickly descended the steps of the landing ramp off of the jet which had taken him from Saxtonberg to Rome in about two hours. Ah, the wonders of modern technology. His aide, Dieter Traube, and three Stoßschutz guards in frilly ceremonial uniforms followed him. He was greeted by a young, broad-shouldered man in an equally elegant uniform which had been neatly pressed and straightened for the occasion. The soldier, whose medals and uniform gave as a heavily decorated lieutenant, had sparkling blue eyes and a full head of straw-colored hair which was just a little long and covered his forehead. A dozen or so soldiers stood behind that man as well. He smiled and snapped to attention when Felix walked towards him. "Lieutenant Christian Schädler, at your service sir!" he barked, raising his right arm in salute.

The important official returned the gesture. "You are with the embassy guard here in Rome, am I correct?" Felix, while not a military man himself, knew the various uniforms of the Duchy's military like his right hand. The boy's(for he could not have been over twenty) uniform was cream white with gold-colored sleeves, and embellished with golden tassels and other decorations to add to its grand appearance. Lieutenant Schädler smiled and confirmed his assumption. "Yes sir! You have a good eye. I have been ordered to escort you to the meeting place in Rome, for your conference with them about the prisoners." Felix nodded. "Then let us be off!" He picked up his briefcase and was led, along with his aide and guards, to a shiny limousine which would take him to meet with the Roman leaders.

Later, the bomber was found and interned. He denied all ties to a foreign power. 2 tourists form Eclius were also found hacked to death in a hate crime

Arrived at the heart of Rome after a long ride, Felix Klopfer got off the car and stood in front of a large, Roman-styled building. In front of the entrance, was large fountain with a statue of Neptune placed in the center. At four corners of the fountain, water sprinkled elegantly from four sprinklers under the blue lighting projector. The building has four marble Roman-styled columns and two statues at each opposite side of the entrance, and on the top of the building, there was a carved sign "Hotel Eclisia". He then walked inside, to the lobby made from every single luxurious material there is ever existed. The floor was made from marble tiles, columns at each corner was made from marble and embedded gems, four crystal chandeliers, with the diameter of 3m hanged from top of the roof. And in the center of the lobby, was a mini garden composed of various exotic flowers from every corners of the world. A young lady walked to Felix Klopfer and greeted, "Herr Klopfer, I am Horatia Lucceia, secretary of Eclisian Department of Foreign Affairs. On behalf of the senate and people of Eclisian Empire, we welcome your arrival"

Meanwhile in the other side of Rome...
"General Gaius, the damn Orionite refused to talk, I'm out of tools, shall we..."

Gaius then walked into a small, sealed room, with walls painted in grey, and cold white light shed on the face of an Orionite agent, whose face was covered in blood and body tied to an interrogation chair. In front of him was a mirror in which can be seen through from the other side. As Gaius walked in, the chair rotated to the opposite side of the mirror..
"ah, another Orionite agent....greeting, I am Gaius Antius Avienus, head of Eclisian Internal Security"
