HANSABANK NORDEANIAN HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIP > SEASON I
The inaugural season of the Hansabank Nordeanian Hockey Championship featured some of Nordeana's best hockey players and the impacts they made for their respective clubs. This season witnessed the decisive domination of the Metropolitan Division; this division featured the NHC's three best teams. The team with the most regular season points, the Engholm Steelers, was led by scoring machine Mark Rooney who arrived at the club after a trade from the Hanstad Nordics.

In the end, it was the Hanstad Nordics who became the first ever NHC Champions after a grueling, seven-game series against wildcard-seed underdogs, the Stanfurt Warriors. The NHC Season I Most Valuable Player Award was given to Vangary Oilers center David Bradley for leading the league in points as well as demonstrating superb offensive and defensive play. The Rookie of the Year Award was presented to right wing Mark Rooney of the Engholm Steelers; the twenty-one yer old led the Regular season in scoring. Finally, the Golden Net Award for best goaltender was awarded to Gustaf Holmstrom of the Hanstad Nordics, whose four shutouts during the Championship series led his club to win the Championship.

After an exciting first season, Nordeanian players and fans look forward to international play followed by the next season of the Nordeanian Hockey Championship.
