I am rather confused as to why you do not want a buffer state. For whatever it matters, the map difficulty is virtually identical regardless. Compromise, then-you keep all of Pennsylvania, but he gets southern New Jersey.

Not sure it is the best idea to let someone whom you do not know the motivations of move freely through your nation though.

That is why you, along with Allen and I, are the ones that get most of the stuff. I think you could pull a decent number of ships as well.

It seems like, in general, Allen is going to pull most of the navy, a bit of the army, and little of the air force, Eberhardt is going to pull most of the air force, some of the army, and none of the navy, and Jackson is going to pull a good chunk of the army, and some of the navy and air force.

Of course. It would still have to be negotiated in the IC, though, you could meet with him in person, call him up, meet through surrogates, etc.



Garestaer, you still need to tweak your application. If nothing else, change it from somehow getting Navy SEALs to issuing a rallying cry for all the secretly Fascist members of the armed forces to join you or something.

You need several other facilities to maintain one effectively, but you could sort of keep one if you had a big enough port-getting one is the problem, keep in mind that even China and Russia only have one carrier apiece.

One paragraph history of your country (if new country): Following the coup, California, Oregon, and Washington initially joined forces to keep the majority of US Naval power out of the hands of the military junta. The California Republic managed to gain control of most of the US surface fleet in the Pacific, with General Allen assuming command of Pacific Forces. As a result, the California Republic has most of America's large carrier forces. President Richard Allen, with the help of his brother, Samuel, helped to reform the economy, education, the armed forces, public transportation, infrastructure, and other aspects of the government. Bans on the ownership of firearms were repealed and militias were formed in most cities and towns to help with the defense of the nation. Their focus on defense, libertarianism, and the people have made the California Republic's government very popular with the people. The Republic of California is currently working to add Hawaii to their territory, which would allow them to begin reconstructing the United States in the Pacific.
The Capital of the California Republic is Sacramento, California, with military forces commanded from Alameda Naval Air Station, which was reopened in the wake of the coup. Naval forces loyal to California are positioned all along the coast, using the Eleventh and Thirteenth Coast Guard Districts for training and Facilities. The multitude of military installations in California are also used by the Republic, allowing the storage of equipment and the training of new personnel. Due to the fighting, almost 5% of the population is in the military, forming an Army of 283 brigades, a Navy with 8 CTGs and 5 DESRONs, the Coast Guard vessels and aircraft assigned to the 11th and 13th Districts, and an Air Force consisting of a squadron of B-2s, the Air National Guard units of California, and several US Air Force Squadrons that have been returned from overseas. One paragraph history of your character: Richard Allen Jr. was born in 1979 in Alton, Illinois. He enlisted in the US Army at 18 but left after 6 years. While he was in the Army, he was stationed in South Korea and met Re Min-seo, whom he later married. The two lived in Los Angeles until the coup, when they moved to Sacramento to help arrange the secession of California from the Union. During the following weeks, they worked with Oregon and Washington to form the California Republic. Richard Allen was elected as the first president. His Vice President is Anita Holmes.
Samuel T. Allen was born on July 11th 1976 in Peoria, Illinois to Richard and Amy Allen. His father was a Major in the US Army serving in Korea after three tours in Vietnam. His mother was a nurse practitioner at a local hospital. When he was three, his father was transferred to the St. Louis Military Entrance Processing Station after becoming a recruiter. Samuel and his mother went to live in Alton, where Sam attended Alton High School, graduating at the top of his class in 1994. During his fifteen years in Alton, he took courses in martial arts and practiced with firearms. He was accepted to West Point Military Academy in 1995 and graduated in 1999. He was deployed to Afghanistan in 2001, 2007, and 2009, and Iraq in 2003 and 2010. He is a leading supporter of increased spending on equipment upgrades for the military as well as an end to deficit spending and better infrastructure. He has been married to Ellen Anders since 2000 and they have five children: two sons and three daughters named Adrian, Michael, Sarah, Jane, and Melanie. He quickly guaranteed that he wanted to reform the Union after the war. Kiser then used old military buddies to get several Navy ships to defect to Texas. Most of these ships were in Spain or Japan where Kiser had a lot of friends that were friends and wanted to defect to Texas, although some other ships from other ports were taken to Texas, by crews that wanted to defect to Texas, during the chaos and confusion following the coup. Kiser also started a draft and started commissioning factories to build war equipment. The Texas state congress turned into the new national congress. The Texas supreme court became the country's supreme court. The government is modeled after the American system.

One paragraph history of your character: Senator Kiser is a Republican and wants to see America whole again. He is an ex-soldier and has military experience which gives him a tactical edge. He is hoping for peace among the states. He was born in Indiana and moved to Texas after he left the military. Kiser has a degree in psychology and he is highly intelligent. He is open to trade and alliances. Kiser is strong on military power and dominance and is using Texas's vast resources and factories to quickly produce an impressive military.

One paragraph history of your country (if new country): When news of the coup reached the west Idaho and Nevada were among the first to secede, the two merged fairly quickly afterwards for obvious benefits. The new Union hoped to gain other members from the culturally similar states in the Rockies, and ambitiously renamed themselves as the Rocky Mountain Union, though it will not be so easy. The border states had either joined the California Republic or stayed with the former federal government, and hopefully will be taken in the near future.

One paragraph history of your character: Originally growing up in Boise, Mark was a straight A student, going to the University of Idaho and graduating with a degree in economics later. Eventually he gained a fondness for politics and ran for the Idaho State Senate though losing by a thousand votes, he managed to gain enough favor with the community over the next several years and won the second election. He was known for promoting infrastructure, education, and industry, and became well known in the gem state. Though when the state seceded and merged with Nevada, the governors of each state didn't run for president, and Idaho governer Butch Otter nominated Mark for president. Even though not all of the votes came in, which Mark felt was unfair, he won the presidency by a small margin.

One paragraph history of your country (if new country): Following the coup, California, Oregon, and Washington initially joined forces to keep the majority of US Naval power out of the hands of the military junta. The California Republic managed to gain control of most of the US surface fleet in the Pacific, with General Allen assuming command of Pacific Forces. As a result, the California Republic has most of America's large carrier forces. President Richard Allen, with the help of his brother, Samuel, helped to reform the economy, education, the armed forces, public transportation, infrastructure, and other aspects of the government. Bans on the ownership of firearms were repealed and militias were formed in most cities and towns to help with the defense of the nation. Their focus on defense, libertarianism, and the people have made the California Republic's government very popular with the people. The Republic of California is currently working to add Hawaii to their territory, which would allow them to begin reconstructing the United States in the Pacific.
The Capital of the California Republic is Sacramento, California, with military forces commanded from Alameda Naval Air Station, which was reopened in the wake of the coup. Naval forces loyal to California are positioned all along the coast, using the Eleventh and Thirteenth Coast Guard Districts for training and Facilities. The multitude of military installations in California are also used by the Republic, allowing the storage of equipment and the training of new personnel. Due to the fighting, almost 5% of the population is in the military, forming an Army of 283 brigades, a Navy with 8 CTGs and 5 DESRONs, the Coast Guard vessels and aircraft assigned to the 11th and 13th Districts, and an Air Force consisting of a squadron of B-2s, the Air National Guard units of California, and several US Air Force Squadrons that have been returned from overseas. General Allen, as the first Senior Military Commander of the California Republic, has assigned new command staffs for the California Armed Forces and has secured several hundred nuclear warheads. However, the present strategy of the California Republic is to win back US territory taken by Mexico.
One paragraph history of your character: Richard Allen Jr. was born in 1979 in Alton, Illinois. He enlisted in the US Army at 18 but left after 6 years. While he was in the Army, he was stationed in South Korea and met Re Min-seo, whom he later married. The two lived in Los Angeles until the coup, when they moved to Sacramento to help arrange the secession of California from the Union. During the following weeks, they worked with Oregon and Washington to form the California Republic. Richard Allen was elected as the first president. His Vice President is Anita Holmes.
Samuel T. Allen was born on July 11th 1976 in Peoria, Illinois to Richard and Amy Allen. His father was a Major in the US Army serving in Korea after three tours in Vietnam. His mother was a nurse practitioner at a local hospital. When he was three, his father was transferred to the St. Louis Military Entrance Processing Station after becoming a recruiter. Samuel and his mother went to live in Alton, where Sam attended Alton High School, graduating at the top of his class in 1994. During his fifteen years in Alton, he took courses in martial arts and practiced with firearms. He was accepted to West Point Military Academy in 1995 and graduated in 1999. He was deployed to Afghanistan in 2001, 2007, and 2009, and Iraq in 2003 and 2010. He is a leading supporter of increased spending on equipment upgrades for the military as well as an end to deficit spending and better infrastructure. He has been married to Ellen Anders since 2000 and they have five children: two sons and three daughters named Adrian, Michael, Sarah, Jane, and Melanie. They also own three German Shepards named Muffet, Peter, and Rin Tin Tin. After the coup, Samuel moved his family to Los Angeles to join his Brother and Sister in Law. He remained in Washington for a short time, working to convince friends and co-workers to move to California to uphold the rights of those citizens. His efforts helped bring many US military members and several warships to California, allowing the Republic to provide at least a facade of security and stability to the Pacific realm.

Still wishing I could have kept Washington and Oregon.

Several issues.

1. You have no access to B-2s.
2. In terms of nuclear weapons-you can obviously get some from subs, but not "hundreds". Even if every sub is fully-equipped, there are only a little over three hundred nukes there, and you are not getting all the subs.
3. Washington/Oregon are out, but still mentioned above.
4. 5% of the population armed and ready/283 brigades can be a goal (a stretch goal, but certainly possible), but is not yet attainable in this still-short timeframe. Eight carrier tasks groups is far too many. You have a pair based in San Diego, probably one from Washington, and I can grant you taking the one from Japan, so, four. I guess 5 DESRONS is OK.
5. This is getting into timeframe again, but reforming every aspect of government that quickly while doing the military thing is too much. This is still an "in the process of" bit, as we are at the stage where we have formed a government, but have not really established it.
6. Air Force, you can go ahead and pick a few, Eberhardt took Osran/Aviano/Lackleath. I figure Jackson then can grab two, then you get one, then re-cycle. In general, as noted above, Air Force is mostly going to Eberhardt, along with a decent bit of Army, and little Navy, Navy is mostly going to you, along with a decent bit of Army, and little Air Force, and Army is mostly (though a less substantial mostly) going to Jackson, with a decent bit of Navy and Air Force. Kiser may snag a bit of each, and perhaps a little elsewhere.

I know that sounds like criticizing, but you have a very nice, detailed, app, so it is easier to see the problems.

In OOC mode, given that they seem to hit it off well enough, I assume Allen would be willing to meet with Eberhardt?
