Right. Cause the entire US military is going to go freeze its ass off in Alaska when other MILITARY officers, such as Samuel Allen, are ordering them elsewhere. Not to mention that Seal Teams 1, 3, 5, and 7 are based in Coronado, CALIFORNIA. 2, 4, DEVGRU, 8, and 10 are in Virginia, while DVT 1 is in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; Little Creek, Virginia; and San Diego, California. No Seal Teams are in Alaska nor would any go there. Most of the military will belong to Hawaii, California, Stull, the East Coast nations, and the Gulf Coast Nations. Practically nothing besides the Alaska National Guard will belong to Alaska. Not that they can really support anything more than that to begin with.

I was leaning towards that as well, but I do want to be fair to Allen. He is getting the bulk of the Pacific Fleet, though, and has two full other states, plus huge population, so that seems to be a pretty fair option, given that he was massively, massively overpowered beforehand.

One paragraph history of your country (if new country): After Commandant Stull seized power, DC and the surrounding counties became a warzone. Millions of civilians, federal employees, and forces loyal to the old government were now caught inside the new regime's sphere of influence, and thousands were killed in the fighting. As the situation stabilized, residents of the area opposed to the martial law imposed by the Stull regime began to organize, covertly and publicly. Those who did the latter were jailed or killed when they took to the streets. The covert groups formed an alliance in May 2016 dedicated to restoring the "true" United States Government to power and avenging the deaths of their fellows. Decentralized and efficient, the Council's membership is made up of over 30 tight-knit cells, operating mostly within the bounds of the District of Columbia. The Council itself is headed by the Executive Committee, elected by the heads of the member cells. Other loosely-affiliated gangs and groups work with the Council to assist with its guerrilla war against Stull's forces in the DMV. The Militia is also seeking material and financial support from outside forces, which will be an important component of this RP. The active forces of the council number around 16,000, with a further 10,000 internally displaced persons living among the cells' bases, which vary from tiny Baltimore apartment basements to whole farms and summer camps in Virginia.
One paragraph history of your character: This RP will follow two central Council figures:
Commander Leonard Rose is the President of the DMV Resistance Council, and is often referred to by his position's codename of Archbishop. An ex-Ranger and retired narcotics cop with the DC Metro Police, Rose was a community organizer for the DC Neighborhood Alliance before the coup. After his wife and grandkids died in the fighting, Rose went underground with a bunch of former DC cops and formed the Patrolmen, which grew to be the largest contributing member to the Council at the time of its founding. He has succeeded so far in maintaining the integrity of the Council, but at the time of the RP's start he will be facing some internal strife from the Kings of Baltimore, another major Council member made up of Baltimore police, Maryland State Troopers, and ex-cons.

Marcus Vindictus Witt was a student at a DC university before the coup, struggling along with his studies and smoking his nights and weekends away. When DC fell into chaos, he led a few dozen of his fellow students on an exodus underground into the myriad of tunnels beneath the city. Linking up with other survivors, they eventually formally founded the Trigger, an ever-growing network of college students-turned-smugglers, supply depots, and raiding parties that regularly steal from the military forces above to supply the Council's DC-area efforts. Witt heads it, mostly going by his alias Dr. Greenthumb (so named because of the heavy instance of marijuana smokers in his organization, as well as the massive underground pot farm that he uses to supply both surface residents and other Council cells). The Trigger is the Council's primary source of information and supply in the DC proper, and always facilitates transport and other support components of sanctioned Council ops there.

One paragraph history of your country (if new country): Founded in the midst of the secession, Missourians wanted to be like everyone else. Jack Scalise took control of the state and overran Iowa. Seizing it for Missouri. To avoid war Minnesota joined as well. Scalise took emergency powers for himself and built up the economy. Fearing rebellion from the former government Scalise made checks for his powers and instituted local governments in the old states. Scalise now rules with popular support. The Mississippi League now focuses on itself and is very isolationist. The government of the Scalise Administration is focused mainly on stabilizing its territory and increasing its citizens wealth and comforts. St. Louis is its capital and from the Presidential Manor at the Arch Grounds Jack Scalise serves as leader. The Territorial Legislature rules from the Capitol at The Arch Grounds. Militarily the Mississippi league focuses on mainly defensive measures. However they keep 3 powerful patrol fleets meant for primarily the Mississippi river, but also the great lakes and to a much lesser extent the ocean.
One paragraph history of your character: Jack was #8 of 9 children. His mother died giving birth to his sister Arabella. After that his father became drunk and abusive. He especially hated Arabella whom he blamed for his wife's death. Whenever his father would try to beat his sister Jack would try to defend her and take the beating away from his sister onto him. Jack eventually got his father to change and his father became a politician. Scalise joined the navy in 1963 and was stationed in West Germany. When Vietnam started Jack was stationed in Vietnam. His position as an officer made him commander of a river boat. He was seriously wounded when his river boat exploded during combat and was awarded for heroism and bravery in the field of combat. Jack followed suit after his father and became a career politician. He became a beloved politician in Missouri. Jack was a popular leader and liked by even members of other parties. He served several political positions, and was a popular presidential candidate. When the collapse happened he united three states under his rule.

Chief Executive Ferraro has stated that he intends to seek to expand further into upstate New York, south New Jersey, and west Connecticut. Although Ferraro insists that he plans an eventual reconciliation with the union, public sentiment among New Yorkers is currently strongly against rejoining. When Cuomo was defeated in the Republican Revolution of 1994, Ferraro began to became disillusioned with politics. He went to the private sector, finding success at various nonprofits throughout the following decade or so. Ferraro decided that he had to be ambitious if he wanted to fix the political system, and the best way of doing that from the inside. Ferraro announced his candidacy for the Democratic nomination for mayor of New York City in 2013. With the support of the progressive Working Families Party, he defeated his Democratic rivals, and then destroyed his Republican opponent in the general election, with near 80% of the vote. When the coup occurred, Ferraro decided he had to act to protect New Yorkers from tyranny. He approached the City Council with secession. The Council voted in favor, and the Independent Republic of New York was formed. Michael Ferraro was elected Chief Executive of the new nation with widespread support.

One paragraph history of your country (if new country): The Commonwealth of New England is composed of the states of Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine, New Yorkshire (Upstate New York and Vermont), and New Hampshire, represented by the six stars on its flag. Massachusetts was the second state to secede, after the Massachusetts legislature passed a bill in favor of secession, and Vermont and Maine soon joined them, allying with them. After it was clear that the crisis wouldn't be remedied anytime soon, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Connecticut joined up, fearing conquest from the other New England states, and with all of the states in New England unified, the name was changed. Upstate New York, with much in common with New England, seceded from their own state to become Empire, just after the Riots in New York City, which ravished the city, and killed thousands. Empire, with no nearby allies, agreed to be absorbed into New England. Massachusetts, being the center of the Commonwealth, was allowed to appoint the initial government, from their current government. The Governor of Massachusetts was supposed to be President, with Senator Patrick Cross as Vice President, and Senator Breckenridge as Secretary of State. However, the Governor could not condone the secession, and after much contemplation, committed suicide, looking at the state of affairs. Cross assumed the mantle of the Presidency, making Breckenridge his Vice President. Cross has been aiding the burgeoning New English industry, and has already commissioned the construction of three nuclear plants, one in Maine, one in Vermont, and one in Connecticut. New England is close with Canada, both figuratively and literally, and has so far stayed out of the affairs of the other countries. The exception, however, is New England working with any willing nations to destroy the military dictatorship that Stull has created. Cross has also been eyeing Ohio for some time now, and has been pondering a trip to Cincy.
One paragraph history of your character: (Shamelessly copied from the other RP) Patrick Robert Cross was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1970, to Raymond James Cross and Jennifer Marie Langdon. Raymond was an alcoholic who was only enabled by Jennifer, and this took a toll on Patrick as a child. Due to this lifestyle, Patrick and his parents moved around a lot early in life, so much that he went to kindergarten in Cincy, first and second grade in Columbus, third grade in Mansfield, fourth and fifth grade in Akron, and sixth grade in Cleveland. Around this time, his mother finally couldn't take anymore, and ran off back home to Texas, leaving him with his father. Raymond tried to quit drinking several times, but was never successful for longer than half a year. Eventually, the state took Patrick away, and gave custody to his grandparents in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Perhaps because of this upbringing, Patrick always preferred very large cities to smaller ones. Patrick didn't have much in the way of social skills until going to high school in Pittsfield. His grandfather, a famed real estate entrepreneur, paid for Patrick's tuition to Harvard where he pursued a degree in Political Science.
Patrick got involved in George H.W. Bush's campaigns, in both 1988 and 1992. In 1998, Patrick was elected to the Massachusetts State Senate, over incumbent Andrea F. Nuciforo Jr. He served in the State Senate until he made enough of a name for himself to run for Representative. In '06, Patrick, due to his popularity in the section of the state he represented in the State Senate, he was elected Representative for the 1st District of Massachusetts. He served for four terms, before running for the Senate in 2014, where he beat incumbent Senator Markey. Today, Senator Cross is a blue-state republican, who's fairly moderate on most social issues, such as gay marriage. Pat doesn't believe the government should define marriage in the first place, and though he personally doesn't agree with homosexuality, it's not as though it harms anyone. On abortion, Pat supports defunding Planned Parenthood, and shifting funding to similar services that don't provide abortions. He doesn't think the government should go as far as to shut it down, however. Concerning foreign policy, Senator Cross is a strong proponent of neoconservatism, supporting intervention, though not just for the sake of itself. The Senator believes that the United States is morally required to aid those who are being unfairly persecuted, and those who could pose a threat to the United States, and also believes that a strong United States is required for global stability. He mainly skirts around most social issues, and focuses on fiscal conservatism and free market capitalism on the campaign trail, be it for a Senatorial campaign or otherwise. Cross had been the frontrunner in the Republican Primaries, and was campaigning in Texas when the coup occurred. He flew straight to Massachusetts after a rally in Houston, and was in Massachusetts when the United States came crashing down.

One paragraph history of your country (if new country): After the coupe Senator Kiser was given emergency power over the state of Texas and then the Texas congress voted him in as President of the Republic of Texas. He quickly guaranteed that he wanted to reform the Union after the war. Kiser then used old military buddies to get several Navy ships to defect to Texas. Most of these ships were in Spain or Japan where Kiser had a lot of friends that were friends and wanted to defect to Texas, although some other ships from other ports were taken to Texas, by crews that wanted to defect to Texas, during the chaos and confusion following the coup. Kiser also started a draft and started commissioning factories to build war equipment.

One paragraph history of your character: Senator Kiser is a Republican and wants to see America whole again. He is an ex-soldier and has military experience which gives him a tactical edge. He is hoping for peace among the states. He was born in Indiana and moved to Texas after he left the military. Kiser is strong on military power and dominance and is using Texas's vast resources and factories to quickly produce an impressive military.

Is this a WIP? If not, you seriously need to write a hell of a lot more, because neither of those are paragraphs. Explain why he was given emergency power, among other things.
