Cielos Luz
For every day, there is a night. For every dawn, there is a dusk. For every Celestial, there are countless demons.....
Many thousands of years ago, while Lutra was young, a peculiar species came into being. Humans. Humans where always weak, as such when the demons came, they could not stop them. One night, while man was young, from the darkest reaches of Lutra and beyond, the demons descended. They ravaged the land, killing many human populations. They went continent to continent in their hunt for human blood. It brought them enjoyment. Until they came upon Dorthithladh, the last stronghold of humanity. The humans of Dorthithladh had no idea what was coming, and stood no chance against the demons. Or so it seemed. One night, under the night sky, the stars granted their power to 88 select humans to combat the demons. These 88 fought the demons back, and saved Dorthithladh, going down in history as the first Celestials.
Now, after many thousands of years of peace from the demons, a dark cloud gathers, and the Celestials will be called again.
Aylmer Kingl, Grand Observer
Ailianthum, Discheheim Empire
Aylmer sat there, behind the ancient telescope which his family had looked through throughout the ages. He was an old man, older than most humans should have been. A total of one hundred and two years. He was near the end of his life, and he knew it. He had discovered the location of many Celestials, and put to rest even more. Looking out, he could see the stars twinkle in the way they always do, without a care in the world. They would always be there, and as long as they twinkled, humanity would live on.
"Ah... my old friends...." He spoke softly as he coughed, "Looks like my time is coming, isn't it. Umm.... I lived a good life I guess... a few great great grandchildren is good right?" He smiled as he took a look in the telescope, "Everything looks normal.... wait... what's that?"
He focused the telescope on a black comet, "Oh no...." he said in horror.
Sigfi King-Slayer, High King of Hundiskali
Hundiskali Royal Palace, Kingdom of Hundiskali
The High King sat upon his throne, a bottle of ale in his hand looking to the man in front of him. He took a drink of the ale and then threw it to the ground. Slaves imidietly went to clean it, as his eyes filled in anger as he looked at the man.
"What do you mean she's not dead?" He asked as he slammed his fist to the throne.
"I mean, she's proving hard to eliminate. Who would have known someone like her came from the previous king..." the man said as he lowered his head.
Sigfi rose from the throne and walked over to the man, grabbing his face and forcing the man to look at him in the eyes. "There must be more... tell me." he said as he let go and walked to the window.
"Um yes sir..." the man said, "It turns out that she's a Celestial...."
"WHAT!" Sigfi shouted as he turned around, "Did I just hear you right?"
"Yes sir. But that's not all.... we lost her trail...." The man said as he looked away.
Sigfi didn't say anything as he approached the man. He stopped in front of the man, "So, you are telling me that you lost her?"
"Y...y....yes."
It happened in a flash. Sigfi drew a sword and sliced the man's throat. The man's body fell to the ground as everyone in the throne room looked away. Sigfi looked to the guards, "Dispose of this body... Oh, and don't we have a Celestial of our own?"
"Yes sir. We do, her name is Loret Willanada." a guard responded as two of his fellow guards picked up the body and left the room.
Sigfi returned to the throne, "Fetch me this Loret."
The guard nodded and left.
Agnimukha Vasuman, The Phoenix
In the mountains north of Yarrin, Jiddahari Caliphate
"So..... Yarrin should be that way... right?" Agnimukha said as he looked at an old map he secured from his old man, "Or maybe its that way? Stupid map you are useless"
He sighed as he rolled up the map and put it back in his bag. He left his adopted father about three weeks ago and started travelling, looking to solve his past. His journey had brought him to the Jiddahari Caliphate, which if he remember correctly was his mothers homeland. He hoped to find someone who knew about his mother, possibly her family. Then maybe convince them to help him. But he wasn't going to get anywhere by just standing there.
"Why did I take that map.... I should have known it was on of my old mans cheap get rich items." He looked around, "But this is a problem.... I have been stuck in these mountains for four days now.... I'm running low on...." He shuttered, "Water." He took a breath and continued on. After ten minutes he saw something, something he saw just ten minutes ago.
"WHY DO ALL THESE MOUNTAINS LOOK THE SAME?!?!?!" He shouted as flames erupted around him for a moment.
Aoife Dragon-Heart, Draco
Approaching Wintobbruck, Discheheim Empire
Aoife took a sigh of relief. She had been running for the past three years, and just a week ago she attempted to return to the Kingdom of Hundiskali. Bad idea, finally, after five days of running away, she managed to lose them. Now she was on a forest road heading somewhere, she didn't care to try and guess where. Eventually she exited the forest and looked across the plains towards a city.
"Ah.... Wintobbruck. So I am in the Discheheim Empire. Great." She said sarcastically, "I wonder how many drunks I'll see, or how many people try to make me theirs.... just great."
She continued down the road, but didn't see a part of it was slightly risen. When she approached the hazard, well, her foot hit it, and she face planted the road.
