Once again, the Ministry has addressed the backlog of information received and has processed it quickly.

Also, the Ministry has updated the top section. There is now a brief explanation of the Ranking system. Remember, profitable is good.

Living Freedom Land: Of it's various qualities, the Ministry notes that this nation openly embraces the free market concept. This makes for an environment which is profitable for those seeking a more 'westernly' nation in which to do business. It would be an idea place for an enterprising individual to get their feet wet. Its culture is strikingly different from ours, with their people embracing odd religions. Nevertheless, it is still a place which would be safe for travellers, even in the absence of any WA membership. Particularly striking is the lack of a government funded military. It is rare to find a nation which shares our beliefs on neutrality. :: RANKING - profitable, equal ::

Ewa Beach: The Ministry finds this nation to be in direct conflict with many of the core values of our nation. Its religious views are fanatical and dangerous; its beliefs on capitalism are appalling. Travel sanctions as well as commerce sanctions are placed on this nation as it is considered unprofitable for anyone to visit, whether for pleasure or business. The icing on the cake so it speak is the overall lack of membership in the World Assembly. The resulting outcome is outright sanctions on Ewa Beach. These sanctions only apply to travel and business; the government is still open to neutral relations and diplomacy. :: RANKING - unprofitable, unfriendly ::

Swilatia: While Swilatia does not share our values on education, they do share a number of our other core cultural values. Their views on capitalism and religion are favourable. Their liberal laws provide a friendly land for pleasure, business or both. Anyone seeking to do business will find a place with decent tax laws. Their lack of participation in the WA is not a concern. Overall, they rank positively with the Ministry. :: RANKING -- profitable, friendly ::

Auremena: update noted in the assessment.

Zeppy: Although the official language of Zeppy is English, it is note-worthy to mention that Greek is a regional language in this nation. Travellers will find it easy to communicate with the locals as language barriers will not be an issue. The same is true for any commerce and marketing endeavours. Zeppy is listed in the Travel Guide as a favourable destination for pleasure, business or both. Its taxation policies do not appear punitive, which is a bonus for all parties involved. :: RANKING -- profitable, equals ::

Lemonius: A relatively hostile nation that is not forthcoming with information. Its cultural values conflict with our own. Its overall cultural values and traditions are detestable. Its loathing of capitalism is most disheartening. Full out travel and business sanctions have been issued by the Ministry. :: RANKING -- unprofitable, hostile ::

Shwaasburg: A nation which clearly loves and worships its military and willingly embraces capitalism, like any good nation ought to. For any merchant or business seeking a place in which to sell the latest and greatest in (FT) Meekinosian military technology, this is the place to be. For the more leisurely traveller, it is also worth a visit. If a profit can be made while having fun, all the better. :: RANKING -- profitable, equals ::

Maraque: A simple neutral nation that doesn't wish to creative waves. It reminds the Ministry of the Dully Grey Planet once encountered during Meekinos' early space exploration days. Fortunately, the city state of Maraque does share some of our values. For those seeking pleasure, business or both may find a little hidden treasure in Maraque. Neutrality can be a wonderful thing in the right hands. :: RANKING -- profitable, friendly ::

Europa: A delightfully progressive capitalism-loving nation with reasonable rates of taxation. It is most certainly a dream destination for those wishing to do business or open trade. For those seeking to relax and enjoy the local offerings, there is no shortage and appears to be bountiful in its culture, heritage and traditions for the audacious adventurer. The Ministry feels that this nation deserves a favourable ranking. :: RANKING -- profitable, equals ::

The Adrian Empire: Although it seems like one is stepping into a history book when visiting the Empire, one will find that they share many of the same qualities and values as we do. Their clothing may be strange and they may not all be the same species but when it comes to values that matter, the Empire is spot on. Language barriers are certainly not a problem for the average citizen as the Adrianites speak many of the same languages that are taught within our schools. Whether one is there for business or pleasure, this Empire is certain to have something to meet the needs of those visiting. :: RANKING -- profitable, friendly ::

Voerdeland: Any concerns over their values versus ours is virtually non-existent as this nation clearly shares many of our values, though the Ministry believes that Voerdeland should really embrace capitalism all the way; it would be beneficial for it. Official churches are always an oddity but it may yield some interesting architecture and touring options for those wishing to learn more about the country. For those in it for business and not pleasure, they may have to watch for potentially anti-capitalist laws and punitive taxes in some areas as nations who don't completely embrace capitalism will have regulations and restrictions in place which should be followed. It is advisable to check with local authorities on this before pursuing any business venture to ensure full compliance. :: RANKING -- profitable, friendly ::

Nation: Selathorn
Full Title: The Syndicalist Republic of Selathorn
Government Type: Federal republic with the lower house of the Senate selected by sortition (aka lottery)
National Religion(s): None
WA Membership: Yes
National Language(s): English, French, Spanish, Dutch, German, Swahili, Arabic, Farsi, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and Hindi

Government Stances
Sexuality: Not the government's business.
Narcotics: Recreational use is banned in Selathorn.
Abortion: Perfectly legal, but any abortion that fails must not be attempted again.
Marriage: Not the government's business.
Religion: Not the government's business.
Military: Fairly large, and takes up a large chunk of government spending. Armed neutrality is an official policy of the Selathorni nation, and service is required (but service can mean any civic project as well, although many chose the military).

Political & Economic Beliefs
Democracy: Important, but with restraint. The Selathorni government recognizes that other systems can also work to support the welfare of the people, but believe democracy is the best way to do so.
Republicanism: Important for exercising political freedoms.
Monarchy: Constitutional monarchies are a reasonable system, but absolute systems are opposed unless the ruler genuinely rules for the benefit of their citizens.
Fascism: Against any and all forms.
Communism: Seen as impractical but well-intentioned.
Socialism: Seen as impractical but well-intentioned.
Capitalism: Capitalism supports private gain, which is considered important, but does not protect individual workers as much as Syndicalism does, which makes the government's opinion neutral on it.

Miscellaneous
Factbook: N/A. (OOC: I'm doing a complete retcon of most stuff I've done with my nation, and much of that is on regional offsites/the NSwiki.)

Abortion: Mostly against
Marriage: Very pro, whether you are gay, biracial, strait whatever
Religion: Something to be protected as a right and freedom but comes with responsibility in return
Military: They help and protect us of course we like them

Political & Economic Beliefs

Monarchy: Mostly Pro: We are still styled in monarchy
Autocracy: Against, power should not lie in one individual
Fascism: Pride for your nation is good strong defense is good but using it as a means of aggression

Full Title: The Kingdom of Raludcia
Government Type: Totalitarian Monarchy
Leader: King Alois I
National Religion(s): Catholic Christian - heading towards atheism.
WA Membership: Yes, and Delegate of Azdun.
National Language(s): English

Government Stances
Sexuality: The government does not care.
Narcotics: All legal and supplied by corporations. Very expensive though as they are taxed highly to discourage people from using them.
Abortion: Legal
Marriage: Only between a man and a woman. Marriage as a whole is on the decline in Raludcia.
Religion: Used to be very religious. Now religion is in massive decline.
Military: Raludcia is heavily militarised and currently involved in war.

Political & Economic Beliefs
Democracy: Dislikes - fought democracy in a civil war 20 years ago.
Republicanism: Sees it as being little different from democracy
Monarchy: The government is one, so naturally we support this.
Autocracy: Well we kind of are one...
Fascism: A little too socialist to us, but then nazis and militaristic fascists we can empthasise with so are favourable towards
Communism: We absolutely despise this. Communists killed over a million in our civil war and we have been at war with communist nations (we are now even) ever since. We will not rest until the world is freed from its evils.
Socialism: We don't really care about other nations that are socialist, though it would never be allowed in Raludcia
Capitalism: We basically are a capitalist oreintated monarchy.

Nation: Sondstead
Full Title: United Kingdom of Sondstead
Government Type: Constitutional monarchy governed by federal parliamentary republic
Leader: His Majesty Christopher IX, King of Sondstead and Protector of Makeland (Head of state), Her Excellency Prime Minister Kristina Lindkwist (Head of government)
National Religion(s): None officially established by the government, main historical religious groups are the Gothic Catholic Church (Arian Christian) and the Evangelical Church in Sondstead (Protestant Christian, includes Lutheran and Calvinist groups)
WA Membership: No
National Language(s): Sondsteadish and Makeish official at federal level

Government Stances
Sexuality: Largely not the business of the government. Extramarital sex, homosexual sex, sodomy, etcetera are legal. The age of consent is 15 regardless of gender or sexual orientation, except in Makeland, where the age of consent is 16.
Narcotics: Soft drugs, most notably marijuana, are classified along the same lines as alcohol and tobacco, being legal and thus taxed and regulated for safety. In Windstrand state, the government has a monopoly on distilled alcoholic beverages, but in other states all alcohol is available through private retailers. Harder drugs are more strictly regulated, but consumption of them is treated as a medical rather than criminal problem.
Abortion: Legal on request. While many in the major churches and in the conservative Christian Democratic Party (Third largest in Sondstead) are firmly against abortion, the general consensus in Sondstead is that it is a necessary evil, as outlawing it would drive women to dangerous back-alley abortions.
Marriage: Marriageable age is 18, but with parental approval, 16 year olds can marry in some states. Same-sex marriage is legal with no separate age restrictions.
Religion: Not the business of the government. The government is officially secular and while historically Sondstead is a Christian nation, it also has a long history of tolerance and the Jewish and Muslim minorities are represented in government as are atheists and agnostics.
Military: A robust military and neutral foreign policy is a requirement for the security of a small nation like Sondstead.

Political & Economic Beliefs
Democracy: Direct democracy is generally considered to be laudable but unworkable. Representative democracy is considered to be the only actual form of government suitable for a modern, developed nation.
Republicanism: Seen with ambivalence. Except for among the left-wing political fringe, republicanism is not seriously considered as an issue relevant to Sondstead, and a large majority of the populace supports retaining the monarchy. However, Sondstead feels no animosity towards republics simply for not having a monarch.
Monarchy: Constitutional monarchy is a solid system of government as it has a non-partisan, non-political head of state to act as a symbol of the nation and as a safeguard against extremism. Absolute monarchy on the other hand, is an outdated system with no relevance to the modern world.
Autocracy: Just as suspect and irrelevant for an ostensibly republican leader or a military officer to be an autocrat as it is for a hereditary monarch.
Fascism: Another backwards ideology, although if pressed, a Sondsteader may admit (Albeit begrudgingly) that fascist economic principles are founded on the same fundamentally solid ideas as social democracy.
Communism: True, stateless communism may be laudable, but is unworkable. The Maoist or Stalinist authoritarian socialist systems generally referred to as communism however, are abhorrent.
Socialism: Socialist ideas are both laudable and workable, but social democracy in concert with capitalism is the optimal system to generate wealth for the citizens and the state while not allowing egregious inequality.
Capitalism: Both pure capitalism and statist capitalism with the government supporting monopolies of large corporations is just as bad or nearly so as Stalinism. Capitalism works best for the citizens, the state, and in the long term for the corporations themselves, when it is regulated to protect the workers, general citizenry, and environment from capitalist excesses while allowing the corporations to create wealth.

In order to move the great nation of Kaledoria closer to the international community, the Supreme Leader Maraxus is happy to provide the information the honorable Hellenic Republic of Meekinos is asking for:

Nation: Kaledoria
Full Title: The Holy Empire of Kaledoria
Government Type: Autocracy
Leader: Supreme Leader Maraxus
National Religion(s): Kaledoria's State Religion is Levantine believe of Moloch, Baal and Melquat but we respect our Christian and Muslim Communities, too.
WA Membership: No, I am looking forward to this but there are some implications of the WA membership that would not be in the interest of my subjects.
National Language(s): Oh ... let's not go there. Let's just pretend it's a Semitic languages that just happens to be identical to English except for a few words of cultural significance to point out our differences.

Government Stances
Sexuality: What does this question mean? I have a beautiful wife and a son, of course I support sexuality, a nation would die out if the people stopped sexuality. ... Oh, you are speaking of regulations I impose on my subjects in this matter - No, they can fuck with whomever they please.
Narcotics: The people of Kaledoria are adult enough to handle well such substances, thus there is no need to regulate anything for me. .. Well, except for those that are not adult. I am aiming to find some rules on the topic of protecting children, by now it's ruled, that if my administration finds children endangered (for example by narcotics) they are able to fine the parents or in serious cases move the endangered children to more responsible environments.
Abortion: The churches of my empire urge me to declare that a fetus is a person with thoughts and emotions even before being born but I definitely need further research by my scientists to impose such a dire restriction upon my female subjects. I might in the future limit Abortion to an early part of the pregnancy but it's really no urgent matter since every woman in Kaledoria is able to hand their newborn to the administration if they feel unable to raise it.
Marriage: Marriages are handled by the various churches. Our state church demands that the couple may not have a common grandparent, the Christian and Muslim churches also require them to be of mixed gender. There is also an administrative version of partnership which brings some legal rights and duties and most couples choose to declare this partnership and marriage together. The Government Stances is that it is good this way.
Religion: As already mentioned there are multiple religions within our nation. My subjects are allowed to belief in whatever they choose. However the Levantine are of special importance as they are the forces that united our 3 different peoples into one unified empire. This religion thus has a little governmental funding and a few special rights. My father once told me that he feared, such a preference could harm our cultural diversity but the last decades have proven his worries wrong.
Military: As you can read in our factbook entry, military service is mandatory. Young men have to serve two years young woman only one due to the fact that I acknowledge, that by giving birth to our children they already are serving the nation more then arms alone can. This military service is a great boon for our people not only because it makes us nearly unconquerable but because it deepens the understanding the general population has for our military leadership and the traditional values of our society in general.

Political & Economic Beliefs
Democracy: I think this is a great idea but by now, my people do not have the ability to see, what politicians really think when they are making them promises. It might be a future model, as shown by the fact that it seams to work in some other nations, but at the moment, the only result for Kaledoria would be, that my subjects are ruled by the best liar.
Republicanism: What does this even mean? Some people vote one someone else, without differencing whether everybody in a nation votes for a president or whether a council of warlords elects the supreme leader. I really can't make a general statement about this term.
Monarchy: My respect goes to a nation who has enough tradition and discipline, so that the act of ruling can become a hereditary part of the system; but the aristocracy needs to watch out that they do not lose the connection to the people.
Autocracy: As a great figure once said: "With great power comes great responsibility" but I say it is better to give that power to someone who was trained from childhood to handle the responsibility, instead of giving it to a mob, where everybody thinks: Someone of those other guys around me can take the responsibility. Even worse in systems where people have power for only a few years and then are not held responsible for the actions when the next guy takes their office.
Fascism: What is this. It's a combination of Militarism, Nationalism and Authoritarianism. I think it's a danger and will not allow it in my Empire. Nationalism and Militarism are a powerful tools for those in charge and it should not be in the hands of those that think maximizing authority is a desirable goal.
Communism: It's a future society that I aim for in my lifetime. Everybody should be paid for the work they do, not for the money and cooperations they own. Sadly on the global markets of private companies, this is an utopia that can not simply be ordered, not even with the authority of a supreme leader. It is something, my subjects have to learn with time.
Socialism: It's one of the most central points of the Warrior code, that the strong have to defend the weak. It's mandatory to not forget this lesson when it comes to economics.
Capitalism: An entity with the power of a multinational company yet without a real human to take responsibility for its actions is the most abhorrent thing.

The Ministry continues to produce results every day. It's latest batch has been completed in good time. Although the order appears to be slightly off, this batch always accounts for all submissions after the previous batch. For all intents and purposes, we like to gather a few submissions and produce the results all at once.

Selathorn: A relatively reasonable nation with reasonable beliefs and values. For those seeking entrepreneurial opportunities may find a unique environment in which to experiment, while those in for leisure and pleasure will feel comfortable knowing they will be able to visit and not fret about trampling on local authority toes through cultural misunderstandings. :: RANKING -- profitable, friendly ::

Sondstead: A quaint nation which has a number of similar beliefs to our own while still being unique in its own ways. Citizens may find exploration opportunities in this nation, whether it is through historical or cultural. The primary concern for any citizen would most likely be the language barrier. Taking the time to learn a few key, helpful phrases before hand may be beneficial. Businesses seeking a challenge may want to test the waters here will best be mindful of local customs and laws, but will find an environment that has struck a fair compromise between the worker and profit. :: RANKING -- profitable, friendly ::

AHSCA: Although this government doesn't believe in being a member of the World Assembly, it appears to share a number of important values that we do and those travelling can expect the same standards on most things. There will be cultural differences but those are to be enjoyed. Language barriers would not be a problem for the citizen who has diligently studied his/her languages. They also have a very friendly, warm flag. :: RANKING -- profitable, nice ::

Aquilinia: A diverse home to many different races, species and folks of varying creeds, including Nekomimi under the benevolent eye of an empress who grants her citizens equal rights and liberties. For those seeking to experience the culture of a heterogeneous nation, this would be the place to be. For those in the practice of travelling to find undiscovered markets, this is a market that might provide new opportunities, especially for cornering the non-humanoid market demographic. :: RANKING -- profitable, interesting ::

Raludcia: Although the nation holds dear some liberal values, they are overall a touch more conservative than the average citizen may be used to. Due to their current political climate, leisure and pleasure travel is heavily discouraged if only for the safety of our citizens. Warzones are not an ideal gateaway destination. For those in the business of producing military arsenal and top grade equipment, they will likely find a buyer in the government. It is most certainly an opportunity. A future analysis of this nation will be required once it has emerged from its war as we cannot adequately address the culture when there is something more dangerous to note. :: RANKING -- profitable, unsafe ::

Mesarian: Their government is mostly able to follow instructions, though does appear willing to overlook minor details. Whether or not this is cause for concern remains to be seen. The nation possesses many admirable qualities, though we do find their militaristic nature rather strange given the rest of their values. Whether or not this will have a negative impact is unknown at this time, but most assuredly, it is a viable market and economy for those in the military industry. Whether one intends to bid on an contract or open a business, it is most certainly an economy to enter. :: RANKING -- profitable, interesting ::

Maryginia: An average nation with average rights and values. It may or may not be profitable. For those willing to gamble, it is a market to venture into. It could very well be a diamond in the rough. For those in for leisure and pleasure, it is a safe nation to visit, though there is nothing particularly and immediately striking about this nation. It is really one like any other. :: RANKING -- profitable? friendly? ::

Kaledoria: An interesting nation with a quirky leader. Those seeking entrepreneurial opportunities should not venture here due to a hostile economy that is unwelcoming to foreign influence. Despite this, it would be a place worth visiting at least once for the experience. Different cultures and traditions are worth experiencing especially for architecture and history. Overall, the Ministry advises against business ventures but lists the nation as a viable vacation location. :: RANKING -- unprofitable, friendly ::

Full Title: Socialist Democracy of Magloire
Government Type: Liberal Democratic Socialists
Leader: The Triumvirate of Liberal Chairman Nerrin Serue, Conservative Minister to be elected later, and Moderate Moderator Maxine Sadie
National Religion(s): None
WA Membership: Yes
National Language(s): None

Government Stances
Sexuality: What you do consensually in your bedroom is none of our business
Narcotics: Illegal, including cigarettes, though not alcohol, pipes, or hookah
Abortion: Illegal in all cases
Marriage: Not regulated by government; no registry, no tax benefits, no regulation
Religion: Protection of church from state and state from church
Military: Purely defensive; funding not comparable to education, welfare, public works

Political & Economic Beliefs
Democracy: For, to an obsessive degree
Republicanism: For, but not regionally
Monarchy: Against
Autocracy: Against
Fascism: Against
Communism: Against
Socialism: Recognized as unrealistic if pursued fully, but ideologically plays a large part in government processes. The Maglorii government is the only monopoly Magloire won't break up, actually. Federal control of necessities (pharmaceuticals, waterworks, public works, etc) is essential
Capitalism: For, though only if strongly regulated by government. Government will not bail companies out, but government will break up monopolies.

Nation: (The) Ang Philppines
Full Title: The Kingdom of The Ang Philippines
Government Type: Monarchy
Leader: King Jozefo Yamashita XLVI
National Religion(s): Catholicism
WA Membership: Not a member
National Language(s): Filipino, Spanish, Japanese, English

Government Stances
Sexuality: Should be a very private and intimate thing. Though we don't mind nudity all that much but usually best done in the privacy of your home or around.
Narcotics: With the exception of Morphine we are strongly against
Abortion: Strongly Against
Marriage: Marriage is a sacred bond between a man and a woman.
Religion: Very in favor but usually of traditional Judeo-Christian faiths
Military: Strong and an important duty. We have all males at 14 serve one or two years (if healthy of course)

Political & Economic Beliefs
Democracy: Democracy at a local level is an alright thing but we feel long term and stable government keeps a nation appearing organized as opposed to the destabilization that can come from impeachment, a lame duck, or internal crisis.
Republicanism: Pretty much the same as above but more favorable. We do have a slight republican government as we have a Senate with Senators that are either elected or Royally appointed (depends on the district)
Monarchy: Very in favor of. a Hereditary bloodline of succession ensures a stable future of a nation's government.
Autocracy: Pretty risky situating too much power in one person. While Monarchs are somewhat like this ours still has some republican ideals which balance out. In addition Her Majesty (Queen but Minstal as we call her) also has a good say in the role of Government
Fascism: Against
Communism: Against
Socialism: Somewhat favorable as we like to see those who need (or want it) will get what they need.
Capitalism: Somewhat Favorable. We don't like depriving people the right to have a sanctuary or a place to call their own and a place to take from their family if they want. We want business to be able to sell things and people to enjoy the material aspects of life just as much as spiritual.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has prepared its next batch.

Kjbm-land: There is nothing disparaging this Ministry could possibly write about this nation; they're a valuable ally; they share many of our core, fundamental values. Whether a person is visiting for business or pleasure, they will find a pleasant nation awaiting them. Adventures awaits the daring; ventures await the entrepreneurial. :: RANKING -- profitable, ally ::

Magloire: Although there exists some fundamental differences, those differences are infinitesimal. They are easily ignored by one wishing to explore this hidden diamond. Those in for leisure and pleasure will no doubt find themselves a comfortable vacationing spot with many opportunities to explore. For those seeking a new market, this nation provides a healthy environment for small and medium businesses and corporations wishing to compete in a viable, monopoly-free environment. :: RANKING -- profitable, ally ::

Ang Philppines, (The):A stable monarchy with an oddly bizarre religion that seems to only believe in one god instead of all the gods. Its unsettling, strange beliefs may be offsetting to the average citizen wishing to visit due to an overall lack of commonality between our culture and beliefs. The language barrier does not help much, though those who are strongly fluent in a number of languages will likely be able to find a common ground. The economic climate is favourable with the market being prime for those seeking to expand. :: RANKING -- profitable, neutral ::

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs had been closed for a short while due to a public high holiday celebrating the lives and wisdom of the Prophets of Profit.

Sorgan: A moderate civil republic with an admirable human rights record and a decent market place for those seeking to reach out to a new demographic. Its status as a moderate nation makes it a safe bet for those unwillingly to take a risk, by offering a more controlled environment for the economy. For the wine and dine demographic, this moderate nation offers many exploration opportunities while granting an environment that respects the rights of the individual. :: RANKING -- moderately profitable, friendly ::

Jervak: A Soviet-esque nation whose anti-capitalist and draconian economic policies are irreconcilable with our more liberal pro-capitalist policies. Trade and Commerce has been deemed impossible with this nation as its policies are incompatible with our beliefs. However, for the purposes of pleasure travel, the nation is moderately compatible with ours and individuals visiting would find an opportunity to witness and experience a society devoid of capitalist principles so that upon return they may better appreciate what they have missed while out of the country. :: RANKING -- unprofitable, intriguing ::
