The political parties of the Commonwealth are the following:

Liberal (L; yellow)
Current General Court seats: 151
Prime Ministerial Candidate: Matic Dolenc (Franklin)
The Liberal Party is the primary left-wing party, promoting sustainable economic growth and liberal social policies. The Liberals were also the driving force, in cooperation with the Progressive-Greens, behind the creation of the modern welfare state.

Whig (W; purple)
Current General Court seats: 68
Prime Ministerial Candidate: Catrìona Nic an t-Saoir (Norfolk County)
The Whig Party is a moderate party, centrist, generally favoring liberal social policies but also slower-moving in its policy-making. The Whigs have not held the government since the mid-20th century, but they remain a powerful force in Commonwealth politics because they have traditionally served as power-brokers for minority governments.

Conservative (B; blue)
Current General Court seats: 101
Prime Ministerial Candidate: John Clarke (Suffolk County)
The Conservative Party is the primary right-wing party (center-right by most reckonings), traditionally with isolationist trends and often in opposition to the left-wing parties over such issues as the welfare state. Not that the Conservatives would eliminate the welfare state, just that they would reform it.

Progressive-Green (PG; green)
Current General Court seats: 54
Prime Ministerial Candidate: Rouse Martens (Hampshire County)
The Progressive-Green Party is the secondary left-wing party, favoring similar policies to the Liberals, but extending them further. The Progressive-Greens are particularly concerned with environmental and social policies, generally supporting the Liberals on matters of foreign policy. It is for this reason that the Progressive-Greens have never held the government.

Independence (I; pink)
Current General Court seats: 19
Prime Ministerial Candidate: Christiane Rénault (Hampden County)
The Independence Parties are a collection of county parties that favor a complete restructuring of the Commonwealth, changing it from a unitary state with some powers devolved to the counties into a federal state with some powers delegated to the state.

Nantucketer (NA; dark blue)
Current General Court seats: 0
General Court Candidate: Andrea Palmer
The Nantucketer Party is Nantucket's regional party, favoring full independence for the island at some point in the future. In the meantime, the Nantucketers tends to be center-left. Only campaigns in Nantucket. Ms. Palmer's campaign was defeated in the wake of her mishandling of accusations of abuse of power.

Autochthonous Peoples (AP; orange)
Current General Court seats: 13
Prime Ministerial Candidate: Ontoquas Lamarck (Bristol County)
The Autochthonous Peoples Party is the party that represents the interests of the autochthonous peoples of Massachussets. Not much more to say than that.

Nationalist (N; cyan)
Current General Court seats: 10
Prime Ministerial Candidate: John Rogers (Essex County)
The Nationalist Party is far-right, isolationist, and calls for the full integration of Nantucket, among other things. Very weak.

The current government is a coalition of the Liberals, Progressive-Greens, and Autochthonous Peoples. The Progressive-Greens control the Infrastructure Ministry, and the Autochthonous Peoples control the Autochthonous Affairs Subministry.
Commonwealth of Massachussets Bay, Berkshire, Cape Cod, and Nantucket

There's only one party allowed, which is the current ruling party: the national tirefitter party.

Its leader, father Mulcahey, aka 'Tony the tirefitter', is our national leader as well, undisputed.

-United Left Party (115 seats)

-Socialist Party of La Habana (150 seats)

-Centrist Unity Party (100 seats)

Our country's only ruling (and incidentally, only legal party) is United Padullahstan. Its colours are Red, White, and Green and would be described as a "far-right" political party by most in the world, though it refers to itself as being "centrist".

In the minds of the party, Homosexual Marriage would be completely out of the question for Padullahstan, but it is rendered null due to the fact the country has no homosexuals in it. As for the idea of a nationalised healthcare, the government can hardly see the point and concerns itself with much more important issues.

Political parties are illegal in the Kiravian Empire. They do nothing but clog up the political process and take power out of the hands of the people by limiting their electoral choices to whichever politicians receive partisan nominations.

Marahshah does not have parties but is divided into the Dragon Court and the Magnificent Court.

The Dragon Court
Actual dragons are members of the Dragon Court along with select humans and other beings (including but not limited to centaurs, elves, dwarves, gnomes, trolls, fairies, and satyrs). The Dragon Court oversees many aspects of Marahshahn life and studies prophecies to prepare the people for dangers to come. Historians record the nations past in excruciating detail and have placed these lexicons in scrolls located in the Imperial Library in Sandhh.

The Dragon Court is located in central Marahshah and selects its representatives based upon age, intellect and experience. Older members of the Court are requested to retire when it seems that they are too stubborn or against change.

The Dragon King or Queen is the spokesperson for the Dragon Court and is usually a dragon. All members of the Dragon Court are chosen by other members of the Court.

Dragon Queen Aillahsia is currently presiding over the Dragon Court which includes nine dragons and 55 other members.

The Magnificent Court
Humans are in charge of the Magnificent Court and they often handle international relations and health-related issues. They function with the Dragon Court to keep the people informed and protected. Often, they work together with the Dragon Court when dealing with war and defense.

The Magnificent Court is located in the Desert. A King or Queen is the spokesperson for the Magnificent Court. This spokesperson is chosen by a vote taken from the representatives of the Marahshahn people. Representatives are selected by the people in each region and the number of representatives is determined by the population a region has. Most representatives hold their position until they decide to retire or fall out of the people's favor. The King/Queen rules until they become too elderly or they become unable to adapt to change.

Usually, Kings/Queens practice some form of the Arts (witchcraft, wizardry, sorcery, and enchantment)

King Shalamm is currently ruling the Magnificent Court with 65 members.

On occasion, the Rebel Society has been known to intervene when the Courts are in disagreement. This society is run by a group of able conjurers of the Arts and three dragons. Currently, they are not intervening in Marahshahn politics.
