General Nomzamo Zulu, the leader of the RED Army and General Secretary of the Rebellion for the Establishment of Democracy (RED), surveyed the debris strew streets of eThekwini (otherwise known as Durban) from behind the make shift barricade of concrete, glass and broken cars. She turned to Colonel Bhekumbuso Ndlovu, a tough looking man with a face covered in scars, her second in command.
"They are late" she said, glancing at her watch.
"I know", he replied "these hills can be dangerous, especially with both sides not quite knowing whether we are friends or enemies".
"Hopefully we will find out soon enough from one or both who they consider we are" stated Zulu.
The RED Army had been assembled in secret amongst black, white, Indian and coloured South Africans, especially those in the Durban area, sick and tired of the violence of the ANC, but opposed to the ideologies of most of the rebels. They had moved into Durban overnight and had rapidly seized the harbour, Town Hall and main roads. Fighting had been minimal as the ANC forces had been focused on areas where Resistance forces were present, and had not expected a third force to rise up in this unexpected area.
The RED Army had then sent out forces to the Pinetown area to bring back a convoy of food and water RED had been assembling in secret from supporters in the countryside and amongst what remained of the suburbs. The trucks had been designed so that ANC or Resistance logos could be displayed with quick notice, and black and white drivers stood ready to step in to make the convoy look less suspicious regardless of whom the met. Now the leaders of RED waited to see if these supplies would arrive unhindered.

General Van Tonder's helicopter would land near them. Van Tonder stepped out and shook both of their hands. "Hello, I am General Wilhelm Van Tonder, commander of AWB forces. I heard about this new group and see the potential for us both to oust the ANC."

[OOC: So am I being forced to be part of the ANC or Resistance forces or am I not? You seem to be changing your mind on this. Let me know so I can stay as who I am or leave]
IC:
"General, welcome to eThekwini" said General Nomzamo Zulu, shaking his hand. She leads you to the current RED HQ, Durban City Hall. Here much of the leadership of RED is assembled, a collection of leaders opposed to the violence of the ANC but socially progressive and leftist in political ideology, including several defectors from the ANC.
On the wall above the meeting table the flag of RED is displayed.
After introducing the leaders, including former ANC and SACP member Jeremy Cronin, former COSATU high-up Andrew Chirwa and former ANC member Bantu Holomisa, General Zulu turns to you and says "well General our demands are simple. We demand that after this war is won that an open-list Proportional Representation (PR) multi-racial Democracy be established in all three independent nations. We further demand after the war the implementation of secular Constitutions protecting worker, womens and LGBT+ rights, as well as promoting multi-racialism in all three nations. We would also prefer the incarceration as compared to the execution of ANC leaders who have committed these terrible crimes. We may be able to negotiate a little on some of these policies however. In return we will help you defeat the ANC, drive them out of Namibia and Angola and restore democracy to all three nations. So do we have an agreement?"

"Well," he said. "I agree that ANC leaders who are responsible for the genocide should be killed and I do agree with democracy to an extent. I think that there are three institutions that should be multi-racial. Government, Military and police. For the constitution, we need to work on that," he said. "I think we both remember the apartheid. Well, here's my opinion. I disagreed with the way that the apartheid was carried out, since I think that blacks should have been offered the same rights and opportunities as whites. I do however think that there needs to be some kind of separation, but a form of separation that gives both races equal opportunities and liberties. The reason why we rebelled is because the ANC was killing us Afrikaners and that black civilians were raping and killing us. The majority of them have proven that they cannot live with us without trying to kill us. Not all blacks are bad, since my second in command is an African, but when you put us Afrikaners together with a majorly black population, we end up killing each other. All I want is for both races to live without the fear of being killed by the opposite race."

"We will not accept official segregation within South Africa" stated Colonel Bhekumbuso Ndlovu.
"We could perhaps create small independent or semi-independent Afrikaner states within a multi-racial South Africa however" suggests Major Vukine Moloi. "We would allow South Africans of all races to form such small independent states, provided the area they claim is reasonable in size and location and provided that these states do not commit extreme violence against the LGBT+ community and other oppressed groups, and allow them to leave should they choose".
Some assembled seem skeptical, but most seem to grudgingly accept.
"We will still discuss the fate of the ANC leaders however" states General Nomzamo Zulu. "We would prefer for them to be tried in an independent court and face life imprisonment at most". "We may be able to negotiate further in that though" states Colonel Bhekumbuso Ndlovu.

"Or, what we could do is split South Africa into two separate nations, The Union of South Africa, which is our nation, and the Democratic Socialist State of South Africa, which is what I assume your nation will be called. Therefore, we can implement our policies without pissing each other off. If you agree to these terms 900 AWB troopers along with 5 Ratel-90 IFVs will come to your aid and help you to fight the ANC and create your independent nation. Also, once we create our independent nations, I would like to sign a free trade agreement with your nation so that our nations can work together instead of separately. Independent nations are the best option in my opinion, since the Afrikaners and the Zulus will probably rebel if another progressive party takes power, since both Afrikaners and Zulus were oppressed by the last party that promised the same democratic values, the ANC."

"Where exactly would the borders of these two nations be?" asks Colonel Bhekumbuso Ndlovu.
"And would people of all races be allowed to live in, be treated equally in and run for political office in the Union of South Africa, as they would in the Republic of South Africa we envision?" asks General Nomzamo Zulu.
"Depending on the extent of the borders we might accept some mostly one race Republics however" says Major Vukine Moloi.
"We would have to discuss that in depth" states Andrew Chirwa.
