Do you have what it takes to become the next Shogun?
Closed (apply) PT RP (duh) which uses the clans and it's perks. I am not sure how the mechanic will work just yet but I am sure that when people like the concept that they might help me with that

Basic idea:
Just outside a countries territorial waters, in a popular trade route and vacation spot, a large group of pirates, armed to the teeth attack and capture several large ships, including a cruise ship. Holding the people for ransom, the pirates demand a huge amount of money, and the nations nearby are forced to act.
What the RP would be:
How will countries react? will they try to negotiate the release of their citizens? Launch an all-out raid on the ships? Bomb the ship and attempt to rescue survivors? Sneak in covert ops personnel, to try and sneak people off?
This is just an idea I had, thought it would be nice to have something besides the usual "Bob invades Joe" RP

The RP will be Alternate History and will center primarily around the major powers of the time, namely the United States, the European Colonial Empires, the Qing Empire, the Indian Empire, the Japanese Empire, the Korean Empire, Mexico, and Brazil, though smaller nations will also be allowed in. The RP is based in reality, with slight changes starting in the mid-19th century and continuing based on player actions. Economic sensibility will be expected, though the tense atmosphere of time gives an excuse for the major powers to boast large naval and ground forces, possibly with limited air power (depending on the starting date of the RP) I am hoping that this will be of interest to at least a few individuals and that it will get off to good start and remain strong for a while.

I find this idea quite interesting, to be honest. I'd like to join it if it is ever made

I'm a new nation. I'd like to establish my nations' background, culture, and political leaders and customs by inviting another nation's head of state to visit my own. Essentially, we're the equivalent to a Slavic, Eastern European nation that chose to follow the Nordic model instead. Thus, we're somewhat disconnected from the sanctity of our Christian traditions and culture. However, we have experienced extreme social and environmental success as a result. To be clear, we're not geographically in Europe, or actually Slavic. I'm just drawing to draw an analogy. Anybody interested in doing this with me?
