Ásleif Ómarsson - The Viking Party
Account Name: Kelnjorvik
Occupation: Senator
Party Position(s): Party Graphic Designer, Unofficial Rune-Scribe
Positions in Government: n/a
Constituency: n/a
Political Ideology: Pirate Politics, Social Democracy, Environmentalism, Linguistic Policy Advocate, Lite-Democratic Socialism
Family: Single, calls mum and dad every once in a while.
Background: Ásleif Ómarsson was born in the fishing village of Auksjávarþorpi, Dagmar, in 1976. Both his mother and father were craftsfolk. Ómarsson's early life was most definitely influenced by his time in Auksjávarþorpi, an almost commune-like town where the residents were all interdependent out of compassion and necessity, yet self-sustaining out of individuality and stoicism. This would no doubt go on to guide his Social Democratic ideals. As a kid, Ómarsson's grandparents told him of the Old Norse stories and of the Old Gods, as well as instilling in him a great respect for the Earth and nature. This would lay the foundations for his spiritual faith and his environmental ideals. As a teenager, he moved to a larger town in southwestern Dagmar, Ketilhöfn, in 1995. Here he was exposed to the burgeoning artistic and alternative scene that was so richly permeating in the urban areas of Dagmar. A healthy interest in politics grew from this scene, which spurred Ómarsson to become more actively involved with the social and political issues facing Dagmar. He eventually ran for office representing Ketilhöfn in 2004, at 28 years old, making him one of the youngest Senators of Dagmar. Initially a member of the Social Democratic Party, He later moved to become a member of the new Viking Party, in hopes of more adequately addressing issues concerning him and his constituency. He is an enthusiastic Ásatrúar, and works to encourage the religion's status within the nation of Dagmar. He enjoys the small things in life, and even while in his Parliamentary Office, he is often found sitting by his fireplace enjoying an earl-grey, wearing a nordic wool sweater, reading Tolkien's works.
Faith: Universalist Ásatrú; Förn Siðr; Nature Heathen
Likes: Alternative Rock, Sigur Rós, Linguistic Purism, Ásatrú, Kayaking, Hiking, Winter, Wearing Sweaters, High Fantasy, etc.
Dislikes: Authoritarianism, Linguistic Apathy, EDM, Intolerance, Warm Weather, Short-Sleeves, Predatory Capitalism, etc.

- Given the recent decision of Russian President Vladimir Putin to suspend all Russian flights to Egypt do you thing Dagmarian airliners should be flying in the area? - For now, I would think it best to have Dagmarian aircraft avoid the area, suspending travel there temporarily, at least until we have more information on the incident. There is still much speculation going on, and not many facts. We should be cautious in how we proceed.

On the Transition from Businessman to Politician:
"Well, I still consider myself a comedian in certain circumstances, for what it's worth. But the transition isn't really difficult, in fact, it came naturally. I don't act any different than I did when running my business. One of the benefits in running a political consultation firm is gaining experience with how government works and hearing other politicians talk about their insights. I also see where they fail and blatantly pander to the electorate. Even the ones who crashed and burned gave me valuable insight. As far as daily mannerisms, I still wake up at the same time and make coffee for Ingrid and I. I'm not changing my lifestyle to pander to my constituency and they know who I am, without any focus groups or mirrors."DONT DELETE THIS TEXT OR YOUR ENTRY WILL NOT BE CATEGORIZED - 1004

•Nathan Al-Khayyam (Son)
•Anwar Al-Khayyam (Father)

Background: Mansur was born of January 12th 1970 in city of Al-Iskandariya to a fairly prosperous Sunni Arab family. At the age of 4 however his family moved to Europe trying to escape much of the social and political tension building in the region. They settled in [Placeholder name] in Dagmar where they set up a moderately successful food store in the city which sold an assort of foods and food products. As a young child he always was looking for excitement, he used to explore the forest near his childhood home, good camping regularly, and did the things many young children in Damar did at the time.
He grew up a relatively normal life for an immigrant and when he turned 20 he joined up with the national Navy. He served for 12 years obtaining the rank of Lieutenant in the navy. He worked mostly with navigation and helping to direct coordinated movements but eventually retired in 2002. However even after his time in the navy he still found it hard to settle down. In 2003 he got a ticket to his home country of Iraq and worked as a war journalist for a newsletter back in Dagmar. Many of his writings became both revered and reviled with several works supporting more European Intigration, Criticism of radical Islam, criticism of US ultra-patriotism, and writing discussing the far left and right as destructive. Eventually he found the funds and willingness to run for election in his hometown beating the slightly more right wing incumbent by 2.8%. Mansur has been an open critic of radicalism citing his time in Iraq and the influence of his (relatively) progressive Muslim family. He also has been a critic of isolationism and protectionism. He currently occupies the constituency that covers most of his forming childhood home.
