The Nobreloen Press

In a shock announcement, the Nobreloen Worldvision Committee announced the end of Nobreloen's bid to host Worldvision 43.

The Nobreloen Worldvision Committee chairman, Ardus Sorman-Pau, said, "the Committee has failed to find a suitable venue to host the Worldvision Song Contest. Our preferred venue, the Haakon Concert Hall, is unavailable, and the Globen Arena as well as the Elkean National Stadium have ongoing events that will clash with the time period."

When asked about the possibility of allowing its sister city, Arlnonsen, to continue on with the bid, Sorman-Pau's response was that "Arlnonsen would be hosting the Expo on that particular month, and will not have enough accommodation, as well as space to host both large events at once."

While the official stance of the NWC has always been that of a clash, Worldvision insiders think that there is more to meets the eye. Alyssa Neumann, a Worldvisionologist, said that "it is probable that Nobreloen has not had gotten another city to co-host the Worldvision Song Contest, and it is no wonder why. Previous attempts to do so have fared not as well as single city hosts. Furthermore, the tighter funding, as well as the inability for Nobreloen to sponsor as much as they would during the WV36 bid, would be a major factor as well."

Neumann added that "it is also probable the NWC was expecting to have an easy bid, but probably pulled out rather than waste more money campaigning as Kalosia and its bid city, Monterra, joined the bid contest. It is also probable Talvezout may put up a killer bid and that the NWC see no reason to waste more effort."

However, Neumann is optimistic. She believes that more must meet the eye, given the timing of the withdrawal of the Nobreloen bid and the confirmation of the Kalosian bid. "I would not be surprised if RTVK (the Kalosian broadcaster), Elktel (Elkean Telecommunications) and IBC (Independent Broadcasting Authority) would have had discussed and formed a joint bid in Monterra to ward off Talvezout's bid. After all, it would have dramatically lowered the cost of hosting for both the Elkeans and the Kalosians, yet benefitting both parties.

When asked about the rumours about a joint bid, Arden Sorman-Pau declined to comment.

Juicy tabloids from the Elkean lands

Rumours that the Elkeans are involved in the Monterra bid is running high, with unidentified images appearing, such as the one above. While distinctly different in style as compared to the other graphics formerly placed out by the NWC during the Nobreloen bid - it has had one telltale factor that made the NWC a suspicious character in the bid. As with other voting graphics, this utilised Arlnonsen as the 'guinea pig'. Furthermore, it has been shown here giving Kalosia 8 points.

Whether that is just a mere coincidence remains to be seen.

Confirmed, I'm using the same tune, but Andrea Babylóns is going to represent us with the song "Óumflýjanleg"

Changing our entry to 'Ballad of Death' by Shop Owner, with the Meltons and One-Hit Jimson playing instruments. The tune of the song is 'Madness of Love' by Raphael Gualazzi, which came 2nd in 2011 EVSC for Italy.

Good Evening, and welcome back to the amazing show that is the Festivalé pau Norgwéan, here at the Caena Stadja. With 20 minutes to go, my bid is complete. It should be the second thing you see upon entering the thread, being just below the OP. And yes, the Kalosian public was wrong. It isn't Ekoz or BGEN we're collaborating with.

If any errors were overlooked in the bid please do let me know! Also for anyone wondering (read: in anticipation of the WV Committee making typos), it's Monterra and not Kasin.

It has been 21 hours since this is supposed to be closed.

Seriously, there's 5 WV Committee members and not one has been able to find time to write a simple message closing this and opening voting?

Yes,and so do anyone else and everyone else here does.

If you aren't of the intention to do your job as part of the Committee and have only energy to give out snide remarks rather than anything else constructive, maybe you can think of stepping down from it rather than hogging space.

In the midst of Polkopia's selection process to decide a representative for the 43rd Worldvision Song Contest, the it has come to the Polkopian National Broadcaster's attention that the current method in place, a National Final, although has proved time and time again to be an efficient way of selecting a representative, this current edition's range of votes from abroad are lackluster.

Therefore, the PNB has called on the of the members of the international community to please participate in the ongoing Landa vy Polkopiya by submitting their votes to the broadcaster. Instructions for how to do so can be found in an attachment at the bottom of this statement.

Thank you,
Viktor Khassanov
President and spokesperson of the PNB

You had a job, and was elected because you promise to deliver on that promise. You (and the rest of the committee) failed to do your job. It's as simple as that - and there would not be the need to have this discussion were you so not apologetic for failing to perform, and yet calling us out for being unsympathetic no-lifers.

I would stress the fact - if you noted - I haven't called out Yttribia nor Tod for disappearing from NationStates, or say Polkopia or Free Republics for that situation, but instead just called for the updating of things. Was that so hard to get? By your logic, it seems that actually commenting to get someone to get the job done is uncalled for, which obviously does not make sense.

For the record, if you weren't the fact you were incompetent in doing so then I wouldn't have called you out in both terms. If you were to actually spend less time snarking and rather doing what was expected of you - like what Polkopia had did shortly after, it's all done. Yet, it seems that you'd rather holler off and around your less-than-stellar track record and expect us to shut up because we should be putting up with a sub-par job and take your abuse for something you've run and elected yourself to do.

I hope this is the end of this. And I hope you do realise the one 1) failed to do your job and 2) yet had the audacity to rant because I just commented I wanted the job done, was you, and not me.

EDIT: And also, if it makes you feel chuffed or whatever, presume you've won if that makes you happy. I've had had enough of dealing and arguing with people. It doesn't matter to me if you want to paint me as some kind of unreasonable guy because I've really better things to do, and I don't give a flying flute.

I'm not sure what kind of University open house you went to, but anyway good luck. Because UK universities are a pain to enter. I think you know that very well, and just so you know, I certainly won't curse you to hell just because you've treated me shabbily.
