Alright, here we go. This is what I was working on. I made him mostly for the purposes of another character's backstory, so I won't be using him much unless people want to interact with him (doesn't have to be business, he can just pop in for lulz), but I figured I'd app him anyway.

Also, on that note, Atria, I'd be grateful if you could take a look at this as well, don't think it ever got accepted and me and Charm decided to do our team thing anyway. I'm assuming I can't just accept myself here, by the way; if I can, feel free to say and I won't pester anyone anymore.

Anyway, without further ado:

Name/Alias: Apeiron, Autarch of Names

Gender: Indeterminate; appears as male for the comprehension of lesser beings.

Age: For him having an age is technically impossible but for the sake of comparison, he is older than all named things.

Appearance: Here

Species: Cosmic Entity

Backstory: Apeiron is the cosmic entity in charge of the names of all things that exist and all things that don't. He was there at the dawn of genesis, and it was thanks to him that things became determined, and thus nominated; as all things including individual universes and multiverses had names, and even the Omniverse itself had a name, Apeiron wound up existing outside of it all, unrestricted by any sort of rule except for one. As he exists outside of time, it would be erroneous to say that he has always existed, or that he is older or younger than any other given thing; suffice to say, he exists.

Throughout his existence, however, he grew bored, and decided to begin meddling with mortals, but first, he had to figure out how. After all, he was fond of existence, since most named things were inside of it, and so, he had to think of a way to mess with them without messing up everything. Finally, he devised an acceptable system. Coded within his own being, there was a rule, the one rule to which he was bound, which dictated that, if all things in the universe were to lose their names (and subsequently be destroyed, as the true names of things represent the things themselves), then he would cease to exist as well, with no way around it. Thus, to entertain himself, to safeguard certain names to prevent the fulfilment of that rule, and to make sure that mortal beings would always exist, he began negotiating with mortals.

The Autarch of Names would approach desperate creatures who were willing to sacrifice anything to achieve their goals, regardless of what said goals might be, and made them an offer: In exchange for their names, which would be severed from them without threatening their ontological continuity, Apeiron would bestow upon them a title that they would thenceforth be known as, and enough power to accomplish their objectives. It was through this trade that many legends were born, mythical heroes and villains who were known throughout their respective universes but whose names were never known, as they had none. Creatures whose names were taken from them would be irreversibly forgotten by all those who once knew their names, and from then on their names would mean nothing, with those who forgot them being unable to remember the nameless being's identity.

These negotiations have kept the Autarch entertained, and so, he has been doing business with mortal creatures for a while.

Powers and Abilities:
Omnilock: Exists outside of everything (and outside of nothing too, for all you void enthusiasts). Logically this would mean that he is the only one, as he exists outside of individual universes, but since he exists outside of logic too, this is a moot point mostly made for the sake of filling space. Thank you for being my accomplice and reading, by the way.
True Name Manipulation: Can manipulate all named things without any limits. Most notably, he can sever names and grant titles. He stores severed names in jewels that he keeps with himself at all times.
Meta Power Manipulation: Since powers have names, he can manipulate them just like he can manipulate everything else that has a name. Most notably he uses this ability of his to trade powers and titles in exchange for the names of things, which he then stores in jewels, as mentioned above.

Weaknesses: He does not have proper weaknesses, being a cosmic entity, but he does have certain limitations. Firstly, due to his personal work ethic, he won't interfere in anything unless traded with. Users of Nonexistence and Nameless Existence have some resistance to his powers, but he can still affect them, as their conditions/powers still have names, even if they don't. Likewise, if something without a name were to exist, it would be either resistant or immune to his powers. The one and only rule he is subjected to is that, if the names of all things were to cease to exist

Destructive Capacity: Can destroy anything as long as it has a name.

Speed: I'd say that in appearance, 1 m/s, but since he exists outside space and even meta-space he can probably just pop in wherever (and whenever).

Durability: -points at Omnilock-

Lifting Strength: N/A

Striking Strength: N/A

Energy Projection: N/A

Standard Equipment: Just his suit, which is never dirty. There's the Sword of Titles, but it's really just him being silly, he doesn't need the sword to do what he does. There's also the jewels where he keeps traded names.

Intelligence: Well, high, probably. Y'now, with being a cosmic entity and all. Knows the names of all things.

Random Facts about your character: He once tried to hire some employees to help him manage things. In the end, he decided that he preferred to work alone, as his workload wasn't exactly large to begin with, but all of his former employees declared that they were pretty satisfied after working with him. Since we lost a few Villains in the past, it might be nice if at the end of the arc, the CS scatters and several remain in our universe as villains, they're just less unified and are instead acting solo. It would be nice to see Gotham after Owlman shows up.

If it helps you, I'm not going by Eragon rules here. Names aren't the same things as thoughts or emotions or existence (those things have names of their own after all). In essence what Apeiron does is take away the ability of other people to identify you as an individual, except through a title. I wouldn't say it's too complex.
