I now have this idea of Caelum flying into the mist and then popping back out, with a confused expression, only to smile and fly back in repeatedly as if the mist was a giant toy to him, giggling as he did so.

And somehow this doesn't seem too out of character for him...

Pretty sure global panic would ensue and everyone would start sacrificing aztec style. And then it would just go downhill from there.

This is the real way the world ends, everyone freaking out because Caelum decided to have fun for five minutes. XD

Nation/Faction name: The Order of the Serpent
Race(s): Any
Patron God(s): Jileli
Current Leader(s): While technically the Order’s only leader is first and foremost Jileli herself, in practice reality has shown that Ichor tend to be rather inconsistent in their interactions with mortals – at least over a single lifetime. As such, it is the Chosen of Jileli who really pull the strings for the entirety of the Order – although each temple and sect tends to operate fairly independent of the others in the vast majority of cases. Regardless, each bows to the authority of the Chosen.

Brief History:
The beginnings of the Order could be traced back to the first of Jileli’s Chosen, 20 souls first tasked with spreading her faith and teachings throughout the mortal world of Drinda. While the details of this time may have long since faded from memory, what is known is that – over time – the faithful of Jileli began to desire a common network through which they could communicate. It was from this idea that the Order was born, connecting the disparate congregations and cults which worshipped the Goddess of Lust and Torture.

Geographical area and key features: The Order doesn’t truly claim any territory for itself – it is no nation after all. However many of those that inhabit Drinda have allowed for its members to construct temples or shrines within their borders in towns, cities and in the countryside. Other, more reclusive groups, may have smaller locations at which they gather to practice their faith – or may opt to forgo such a place of worship entirely.

Map Claim: None.

Other details: The Order of the Serpent is a union between the different groups that have chosen to worship Jileli.
The Chosen of Jileli:
The Chosen are the most secretive branch of the Order and are composed of those who have been especially touched by the Goddess. They ultimately wield the most authority within the Order and most have positions within either the Sisterhood of the Serpent or the Devout. However, there are some who wander the lands separate from these groups – preaching to those who would listen and otherwise dedicating their lives to fulfilling the desires of their Goddess.

The Sisterhood of the Serpent:
By far the largest grouping within the Order, and also its public face, the Sisterhood of the Serpent is the main Priesthood dedicated in service to Jileli. Contrary to most other forms of religious order, they lack a significantly rigid hierarchy, with each temple or shrine largely left to its own devices as long as they keep to the teachings of the Goddess, although the High Priestess can step in for matters of severe import. The Sisterhood fulfils a number of varied functions throughout Drinda – although many of their temples or shrines, especially those of a smaller size, tend to be more specialised. In particular, the Sisterhood has become known for its charitable work in communities, for instance by offering to take in orphaned girls into its ranks; as a provider of mortal comforts and luxuries for the faithful and wary; and also as healers for the poor and ailing. However, there are whispers and rumours that the Sisterhood also practices certain other functions behind closed doors for those with the right connections, functions that similarly require an intimate knowledge of the vital locations of mortal bodies, and how to sustain those with injuries or wounds.

Contrary to what one may expect, one is not required to be female to be initiated into the Sisterhood, and many males are known to hold places within its ranks. However, many of the upper echelons and positions have traditionally been reserved for women.

The Devout:
The Devout are a largely underground network of those with an expertise in extracting information through the liberal application of pain. In essence, they are a guild of torturers that operate outside the realm of ethics and law in most of Drinda. The powerful and wealthy often make use of their services, and even governments sometimes make use of their services to gain vital information necessary for their national security. After all, does the end not justify the means?

While you've ticked all the boxes, it does seem a bit light on content for my liking - although to be fair there's not a lot you can write for a deity app. But the posts you linked were a bit on the short side too if I'm completely honest - long enough to be acceptable, but still.

I'm going to say Accepted for now, but kind-of probationary dependent upon post quality :)

Yeah, she's really running out of time to get in on some fun. Part of me wants to act as if the pantheon chat with korak happenned earlier, so she could jump in before the two lovebirds wrap things up.

Why not? Everything is relative, and I sometimes use that little trick to be more generally relevant to the story. You know, like when a big event happens, I'll say the thing happened earlier so I can participate.

I believe Ik meant that Texas was part of the ACW on the Confederate side, which Robert was an important commander of.
