Well, sure, but guess who has more nukes?
Though I suppose that it doesn't really matter after the first hundred or so.
I wonder how long it will take for Reagan to nuke Brazil. He must be consulting with the jelly bean gods right now...

But... but... but....
Making a mod's eyes well up with bitter tears of disillusionment isn't actionable - but is it necessarily wise?
Next you'll be telling me that there's no Easter Bunny.

This is from the OOC of an rp where Ronald Reagan declares himself Emperor of America and marries a jellybean on live television.

Carbon based lifeforms wrote:The greatest challenge is not a lack of resources, or natural disasters. We are smart and resilient enough to deal with anything. Our real problem is our psychology: we are selfish, short-sighted, superstitious, and fiercely tribalistic. That's why there are still poor people even though we have the means to give everyone a good life. That's why we still have wars, and all sorts of oppression and inequality. That's why we're not dealing with climate change. We are wasting our resources, and jeopardising our future, on our insignificant squabbles.

Spain 1 - 2 Slovakia
Poland 2 - 0 Germany
Iceland 2 - 0 Netherlands
Greece 0 - 2 Northern Ireland
Germany 1 - 1 Ireland
Russia 1 - 1 Moldova
I also see that Wales are currently topping their group while the current World Champions are in fourth in another group.
While I appreciate that Margaret is an unpredictable whore, surely these results indicate that random is being given too much emphasis in the present tournament over rank and roleplay (I particularly like Gibraltar's current RP theme, where he claims to be playing on a precipitous rock where every team has to play on a cramped artificial turf pitch; wacky!).
I would therefore like to ask that the hosts take a look at their scorinator to see if they need to re-balance these factors.

Can you imagine going back to 1864 or 1865 and telling President Lincoln about the evolution of his party? He'd lean over to his secretaries, Hay or Nicholay, and whisper, 'This man is a lunatic. Call for the police, gentlemen, but quietly, quietly,' and then proceed to tell you some long story to distract you. And as they carry you off, you yell, 'That American Cousin play sucks! Don't go!'

Wallenburg wrote:After extensive research, I have developed a hypothesis as to the events immediately following the collision of two Moderaton atoms.
Moderaton (Mod) is a heavy element easily distinguished from common NationStates substances, particularly due to its bright red hue and tendency to emit high-energy particles capable of damaging or even destroying lighter atoms. Moderaton is not to be conflated with Adminium (Ad), a very heavy element capable of annihilating even stronger elements.
Due to its rare nature, Moderaton naturally appears as one lone atom, diligently observing other atoms and properly ejecting exotic subatomic particles known as Wharn and Bann particles, respectively named after Peter Wharn and Elizabeth Bann, who have spent the last several decades confirming the nature of rare NationStates elements. However, Moderaton atoms occasionally pass nearby one another, forming weak bonds and then flinging away from each other on their paths to observe the universe. Were two Moderaton atoms to collide, these bonds could last longer or even become permanent, creating a new molecule unheard of in the NationStates universe.
The nature of this molecule is unclear. Perhaps it would serve as a stabilizing force in our universe, allowing for homeostasis to become a more realistic possibility. Perhaps it would be dangerous and decay, releasing unprecedented quantities of Wharn and Bann particles, plunging NationStates into a new dark age. We can only hope that such a collision is unlikely and that our imperfect existence may be maintained by the forces of solitary Moderaton atoms.

The heat of a warning sent through
Now we will just leave you standing
Alone in a thread that's so cold. (So cold)

Maybe Farn's just like her mother
