Background: Black Syndicate is what the fascist movement to reinstall the military dictatorship calls itself. A terrorist cell formed after the ousting of General Mendoza in the civil war, they were created by Junta loyalists and hard-line nationalists who opposed the rebels and the concept of open democracy. The Syndicate believes that the masses cannot effectively rule a nation, and require discipline by the strongest of the nation. The Syndicate speaks a language of violence, using bombings, murders and other attacks in an attempt to intimidate the Calaverdean government. After being dormant for the time following the establishment of the Republic, the Syndicate has seen a resurgence, and has picked up on the trend of terrorism; this time for a more... domestic cause.

They receive arms and funding by striking various deals with drug cartels and other rebels against the state, and have large stockpiles of weapons stored away by Junta loyalists when the war came to a close, as well as tons of Soviet Army and Cold War surplus weapons that get around the world- expect to see Kalashnikovs, HK models like the MP5 and G3, Uzis, etc.

Background: Willem de Ruyter was born on November 21st, 1957 to a family with an illustrious name that had fallen on bad luck a long time ago. Willem is a direct decedent of Michiel Ruyter, a famous Dutch admiral who raided far up the Thames, winning fame and treasure he couldn't possibly spend in his lifetime. However, at the time of Admiral Ruyter's death, his third son was on a naval expedition to resupply the colony at Porta de Oranje when a large hurricane struck. Due to the extensive damage, by the time communications with the Netherlands had been reestablished he was already presumed dead: thus his inheritance had already been distributed to other members of the family, leaving him stranded in Calaverde. Embracing a long naval tradition, the Calavedre branch of the Ruyter family mostly served as captains of fishing vessels, although some members were known to captain merchant vessels, and on rare occasion Ruyters would assist the Colonial officials in clearing out troublesome pirates. Willem de Ruyter's father, Robert, managed to save enough money to buy a small fleet of fishing vessels, and after some explosive growth in the fishing industry, the Ruyter fleet soon came to encompass over 100 vessels of varrying sizes. After the great hurricane of '72, the majority of the nation's fishing fleet was knocked out of action, however Porta de Oranje was largely unscathed, leaving the Ruyter fleet in command of 1/3rd of the native fishing industry. Even then, the Ruyter family more or less maintained the same standard of living that they had always enjoyed, as Robert refused to increase his own salary at any point.

Not being needed at home, yet still being obligated to pursue a life on the waves, Willem enlisted in the Royal Netherlands Navy at age 16. Receiving formal training in Den Helder, Willem served as a captain on a Holland Class Patrol Vessel off Curacao, spending most of the next 10 years catching low level smugglers or watching football games on the tv placed inside the wheel room. By the time of El Sabado Negro, Willem had only just been honorably discharged from the Dutch navy. For the duration of the Generalisiimo period Willem kept his head low, managing the fishing fleets after his father passed away in Spring of 92. Due to low levels of political activity, Porta de Oranje was virtually ignored by the government, and flourished under it's benign neglect. Like most Caleverdens, Willem joined the protests after it was revealed El Sabado Negro had been a coup detat, and was more then happy to order the first ever strike in the fishing industry, which brought fishing to a complete halt. After unification, Willem, now 58, decided to represent Porta de Oranje in the national senate, with his spotless record and long experience on the sea as his only assets. Evidently this was enough.

"In almost all circumstances, no that would be foolish. Social values are difficult to force upon anyone, and it isn't the government's role to interfere in such personal matters. However, I do believe that schools should be teaching our kids basic civic responsibilities, and should try to instill a sense of respect for our nation."

Almonte - Town

Location: ~50 kilometers west of the edge of San Cristobal.
Population: 40,000
Size: 1276 km²
Constituency: Almonte Constituency, includes the town and surrounding farmlands and rural areas.
Constituent MP: Esteban Ortega
Background: Almonte was founded in 1864 by Salvador de Santa and William R. Bellamy. De Santa, a politician, struck a deal with Bellamy, the owner of a salt mining business. Bellamy would set up shop in Calaverde, while De Santa would provide him with more than adequate funding to ensure a comfortable life for Bellamy and his workers. In return, a portion of Bellamy's profits went to De Santa, who would forward it to Emperor Maximilian of the Second Mexican Empire. It was essentially a town founded to support an Emperor. It was named after Juan Almonte, one of the three Regents of the Empire and a Mexican General who fought against the USA.These dreams came crashing down two years after its founding when Maximilian was executed and the Empire collapsed. De Santa skipped town, leaving Bellamy with a business to deal with. Luckily, however, the salt in Almonte was plentiful, and it seemed the right spot had been chosen for such a business. He officially registered the mining village as a municipality in 1869, and lived in it until the end of his days in 1883. The town offered mining jobs and huge tracts of land for farming.

Almonte developed over the years and slowly grew, eventually reaching its current size. The town lost 3 of its people in WWII. Today, Almonte is a pleasant little town a while away from the capital, and an excellent retreat for anyone who needs it. They thrive on agriculture and selling goods, as well as their sizable salt mining business, one of the biggest in the nation. The town is represented in Parliament by Esteban Ortega, and the constituency contains the town as well as the farms, roads and other things on the outskirts that aren't technically part of the municipality.

Background: Blake Hudson, born November 11th, 1979, is a man whose family history is shrouded in mystery. Beyond the whereabouts of his father, who was a simple clerk in Kingston, Jamaica, nothing much is known about when or where the Hudson family came from, though some speculate that based off the family accent it is likely the Hudson family originated somewhere in the Midlands. When Blake turned 3 years old, his father decided to pack up shop and move to the former British enclave in Calaverde (as Kingston was at this point deteriorating into complete chaos), and as an extra precaution sent Blake to England for boarding school. At the age of 18, Blake applied and received admittance into the Christ Church College at the University of Oxford, where he majored in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (the PPE major popular among British politicians and jurists). This long education in England means that, from the age of 3 to 22, Blake was only a resident of Calaverde during the summers.

Now 2002, Blake Hudson returned to Calaverde to become a prosecutor for the Northern Calaverde Islands, where he began a very successful legal career prosecuting and convicting gang leaders, drug traffickers, two separate corrupt officials, and some of the worst criminals in Calaverden history. Blake Hudson boasts an incredible 85% conviction rate. He has also written a book entitled, "The Last Wig: the enduring legacy of British legal tradition in Calaverde". In 2015, the government appointed him to the post as Chief Procurator of Calaverde.

But Wayne was above that, so he sold his diner for an exorbitantly high price, and bought a oil rig in Calaverde. With the aid of the Junta's low tax rates Wayne began investing in all sorts of things around Calaverde. With the rise of the left wing government in Calaverde since 2014 Calaverde Papayas has been struggling. Wayne is very upset that the hard working people in Calaverde Papayas have a tax levied on them in favor of extensive Welfare programs.

How does your stance on the state of the Northern Crusades effect your views towards the Adrius crisis?

For a less complicated question, what is your state towards the independence movement in Adrius?

I support the Independence of Adrius, as I believe any people should get the right to self-determination. We should not intervene in anyway in their politics, economy and culture. For example, the Baltic pagans had full right to practice their faith, and the Crusaders converted them, by force, to Christianity. Should they have? No. Basically, I believe the bad influence of the government on the Adrius crisis is similar to the bad influence of the Northern Crusades on Baltic paganism.
