I've already done it. Brittanny is being replaced by Monaeroglisseurest pleindanguilles, the name of which (which should be Mon aéroglisseur est plein d'anguilles) means "My hovercraft is full of eels. They will enter exactly the same entry as Brittany. Just consider this a name change for them.

Just like the Spanish Inquisition, I absolutely did not expect a country to pop up with a name longer than 'Electrum Diplomatic Offices'. It's especially more dreadful because it's completely intentional and totally my fault /imseriousbutdonttakethisseriously

I forgot to mention, of the 3 songs in my NF, the order is determined purely by who wins: if one of the two upbeat songs win, the other will go to WV43 and the ballad to WV42; if the ballad wins, the 2nd placed song will go to WV42 and the 3rd to WV44, with a separate song being chosen for WV43, possibly by national final.

When you think of it really Brittany was your only puppet that didn't have a long name...
Ekoz wrote:Glad I don't have to write that on a postcard

Seconded. Also glad I don't have to make a postcard out of Haan's flag (it'd be easier for the colors but I wouldn't know how to design it).
Speaking of which, Haan, is your nation ICly the same as Coreyo (like my situation with Mediterra) or are you starting from scratch? also a francophone danish man from your country would be called un Dane de Haan

Kasanova-Koratica's famous crystal balls predict the Kasanova-Koratican presenter atrociously mispronouncing the nation's name.

Your scientists spent too long on the question whether they could, that they forgot the question whether they should... Or something like that, w/e

Anyhow, voting is still open for my national final, to which a link can be found in the OP of this thread. The number of votes so far is rather meager, so even though I could cut off voting here and now, I'd father get some more opinions in.

Polkopian Manifesto

Hello everyone, you may or may not have seen me around the Worldvision thread a few times, possibly in the realms of NS Sports, or maybe even in NSG, but the point is, I've been around Nationstates for quite some time. In fact, I've been a regular participant of Worldvision since WV22, having participated in every single edition since. I've also won four times and have hosted the contest three times (WV25, WV30, and WV38) and also joint-hosted the 'Best-Of' edition alongside Ekoz, Todlichebujoku, and Kishrael. I was also on the Committee between Worldvision 30 and Worldvision 35, and also acted as a single member during that time, as the other two members of the Committee weren't active. In a sense, I more or less carried the contest for at least two editions during my time as a Committee member. Obviously, I devout a lot of time to Nationstates, particularly Worldvision. If I am elected, I will give Worldvision, and the Committee, my priority on Nationstates.

So what do I want to accomplish while on the Committee? I have the following ideas in mind:

1. I want to make the Committee more approachable and responsive to suggestions provided by the general populace. That being said, I want to promote the use of IRC during Worldvision. For those of you who don't know, IRC is a basically a web-chat that you're able to use on a browser, where you can talk to other members without having to wait awhile before receiving a reply. It's quite convenient, if I do say so myself.
2. I personally like the use of puppets, but I want to keep the current rule on puppet/master voting as is. I believe that 5 points should stay the maximum amount that are to be awarded between nations of the same user.
3. As noted before, I also want to put a rule into place where a user can only award a nation so many points. Personally, I don't like seeing a master and puppet giving the same nation 12 points in the same edition. I'd like to set the limit at 14 points in a single edition, so a master/puppet can split the votes 8/6, 12/2, etc, to a nation without giving them a huge advantage over the rest.
4. Somehow, I'd also like to encourage users to realize that this is just for fun. In the past, the contest was all about fun until recently. In my opinion, the contest has gotten far too competitive and I'd like to see it returned to its former state.

With all that being said, I hope you'll take my manifesto into account. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I wish you all luck this upcoming Worldvision!

Kishrael's entry will be by Ada Gatling, who has chosen to revert to the original composition which was runner up in the previous Kdam WorldVision, that being "Neon Tigers".

(The remix won the NF, but I'm lazy af and the first one was half written anyway)

The winner of Lôniêv Ênâzonâlêv Final êm "WoldVision" is Jane Jones with her song "Critical". Additionally, the Lonish Isles will be participating in this contest as well, their entry being "Don't make a sound" by the band "Dânsan ôb Dânses".

dw kalosia next edition ill have something wholly different and the one after that will be samurai

OOC: I intended to use the Lonish Isles for something sporty I have in the works, but I couldn't help but think of a lot of entries for wacky songs that I wouldn't want to directly associate Lons with ICly.
